Hazard's Command
Page 24
A voice from the Huntress’s upper deck hailed them and, at a nod from the Admiral, the barge commander answered it with a shrill, “Aye, aye—Huntress!” and, as he brought his craft smartly up to the midships chains, the side-party assembled and fell in at attention.
Phillip, conscious of a feeling of intense happiness and pride, stepped aboard his new command to the customary pipe and, from her deck, his hand raised in salute, he watched the Admiral’s barge pull away.
