Kiss Me _A Modern Sleeping Beauty Retold
Page 11
“Ahhhh,” she let out a whimper as I buried myself into her. I planted kisses all over her face as I moved slowly in and out of her. Her hips were rolling and pushing into me, welcoming me to thrust deeper and deeper.
The expression of rapture on her face turned into something more poignant. Her eyes rolled into the back of her head and I could feel how she was trying to pull me into the wake of her orgasm with her. Her legs were trembling, her walls were tightening. The fury of my thrusts became a blur of motion.
“Don’t stop Travis…it feels so good…ahhhh…”
I had no intention of stopping. I was ready to push her to her brink, giving her all the pleasure that she could take.
A long scream tore out of Aurora and I could feel the gush of juices from her pussy as she erupted.
I was quickly propelling the volume of seed from my balls into her quivering walls. The immense pleasure of emptying every single drop into her was unlike anything I’d ever felt before. I rolled over and lay next to her to catch my breath. But I was still energized, my body was still running on adrenaline. I couldn’t believe what just happened.
“I’m still trying to catch my breath. You were a machine.”
“Hardly. I could have gone for longer but to be honest I’m a little out of practice.”
“If this is you being out of practice, then I don’t know what you will be like if you had more practice.”
“Well, I guess you’ll have to find out.” It was fun to be cheeky with her.
“I don’t think I have to tell you twice. My body has been properly satisfied for the first time in my life.”
“I’m happy to serve you. And as long as you are with me, I will make sure you will be 100% satisfied.” She giggled at my corniness.
I got off the bed and headed to the bathroom, peeled off the spent condom and flushed it down. I went to the kitchen and got a tall of water for her.
“Here,” I handed her a glass of ice cold water, “this will help.”
It put a smile on my face to know her pleasure was what had driven my orgasm to the surface.
“Wow…”Aurora giggled again, her face was still flushed. She stretched out lazily and satisfied on my bed. What a beautiful sight.
I laughed, I was happy to get a ‘wow’. And what I would give to make her giggle like this.
“What can I do to make this evening even better?” I asked.
“Let’s go get that gelato! I thought I saw a 24 hour convenience store a block away when we were in the cab. Perhaps we can go for round two after gelato?” What a brilliant idea.
“Alright, let’s do that.” I was getting hard again thinking about the prospect of round two.
“I can’t wait,” she said giddily.
I couldn’t take my eyes off of the way she put on each individual piece of clothing to hide her natural attributes. It was like seeing a strip show in reverse. I could envision her naked, but wearing clothes made it that much more necessary to get her out of them as soon as possible.
We went down the stairs instead of using the finicky elevator, and she walked ahead of me. I opened the door and heard the screeching of tires from down the block. I turned and watched horrified as this black car wasn’t slowing down. I could hear the rumble of the engine pushing six cylinders underneath the hood.
She was caught like a deer in the headlights of this black behemoth bearing down on her. There was no way I was going to reach her in time.
CHAPTER 17
Aurora
I saw him standing there and I couldn’t help but remember how he had turned my body into something of an amusement park. I wasn’t even worried until I saw his smile turn into a frown.
I glanced in the direction he was looking and found myself staring at the unforgiving metal of a car with no designs on putting their brakes on. I couldn’t move and the only thing I could think about was how my body was going to respond to the impact.
The shock wore off quickly and my instinct for survival kicked in. I leaped behind a giant metal dumpster, but it was a far better ending than the alternative. I didn’t want to become road kill.
“What kind of idiot drive like this? That person shouldn’t even have a license!” Travis was by my side and I felt a little ashamed by how I had become a damsel in distress.
The streets were barren and the car barely missing me by a few inches sent a shower of sparks along two parked cars with metal meeting metal. It careened down the street and turned the corner fishtailing against another parked car before disappearing altogether.
“That wasn’t an accident and I’m going to prove it.” It was exactly what was described to me by Sheila down to the license plates being removed.
“What do you mean?” I didn’t get a chance to tell Travis about what happened with Sheila.
“A similar accident happened to Sheila. She was almost ran over by a car driven by a maniac and the car didn’t have the license plate just like this one.” I continued to explain, “I didn’t see the driver and those lights blinded me. The only thing I could see was dots in front of my eyes. I still can’t see great, but it’s coming back slowly.” I had nothing to convince a jury of her peers of her guilt or innocence.
“I might be able to help to identify the driver. I have a few friends in the area. I could possibly get my hands on the footage of certain cameras in the area. It’s a long shot, but I don’t see how we have anything to lose.” Travis did grow up in the area and frequented those places where many would fear to tread.
“I will be eternally grateful for anything that you can do.” I tried to get up, but my ankle seemed to be sprained and I could barely put any weight on it.
I had first-hand knowledge and my sister found it necessary to eliminate the problem. I grimaced crossing the street with him holding me. We were about to go down to the convenience store down the street, but circumstances made it necessary to return to Travis’ apartment. Gelato would have to wait.
There was nobody on the street and no sign of a police car to report what had happened. I felt it was prudent to think outside the box. There was no way they would believe my claim that my sister was responsible. They would file it away and forget about it. They just didn’t have the manpower to dedicate time and resources to an unsubstantiated claim.
Travis carried me upstairs and he carefully lowered me to the couch with this spring sticking into my thigh.
“Let me call my friend, Fletcher. He has connections to get the street camera and he has always been good about coming through for me. He’s the only one of the old crew back in the day I have kept in contact with.” He took out his phone and dialed his number. He made the call in his bedroom.
I tried to get comfortable on the couch. My ankle was still throbbing, but the pain was manageable. It would’ve been nice to have a stiff drink to numb my senses, but I had to be in full control of my faculties. The silence was exactly what I needed to find my composure.
I hobbled into the kitchen not content with Travis doing everything for me. I was self-sufficient and independent. Nobody was going to take that away from me. I spied the calendar on the wall.
December 24 was going to be a banner day with my inheritance becoming unlocked. Jemma and I were going to have to be there together to share in the bounty. I had no idea what legal ramifications would happen if my suspicions turned out to be true.
Calling it an accident was my way of attempting to stick my head in the sand. I couldn’t let her take my husband and my inheritance. I knew it was wrong, but I was grateful we didn’t have any children to put in the middle of this. It would’ve made things more than a little complicated.
I was worried with time ticking down that my sister was going to become increasingly threatening. I could feel it in the air. I had to hold on for a few more days until the money was in my account. After that, I could turn my back on her forever and get on with the rest of my life.
I still loved my sister, but there was only so much I could forgive. I w
as no longer going to give allowances for her behavior. There was no way that I could go back to the way things were. It was a matter of accepting what I couldn’t change and changing what I could.
I looked down at my ring finger, I could finally say that I was used to not having a wedding band there. The emptiness was gone. But there was this part of me didn’t know who I was without the ring on my finger. I knew where I had been and it was all a pack of lies. Andy’s love wasn’t strong enough to endure a medical emergency. I would like to believe he wasn’t complicit in my sister’s plan to take what was rightfully mine. At the same time, I came to realization that I could no longer trust what I used to know about Andy. Maybe I never truly knew him at all. The pain of losing him was taken away by the longing stare of desire coming from Travis.
I could hear somebody snoring in the other apartment, but the walls were thick enough to muffle any disturbance. It was an old building, but it was built to last through the centuries.
Travis came out of his bedroom after his call.
“Good news. Fletcher is going out of town tomorrow, but he has invited us to take a look at the footage tonight. It’s the only window of opportunity we’re going to get.”
“I guess round two would have to wait.”
“Aurora, I assure you that we will christen every flat surface in this apartment. We could start with a warm massage and take it from there. I might surprise you with my other talents.” I was intrigued by his other talents, I couldn’t wait to take him up on his offer at his earliest convenience.
I tried to get off the couch on my own again but this time the pain was too much. Travis lifted me up.
“We might have to make a pit stop at the emergency room to get you looked at. In the meantime, I believe I have some bandages and a first aid kit around here somewhere.” I was soon on one foot leaning on the towel rack in the bathroom while he administered his own form of first aid.
His hands felt nice and the added bonus of how he was looking at me was flickering alive the flame that had been extinguished. Travis began to move his fingers up along my calf with the dress moving with his efforts. He was igniting the engine of my sexual motor. I stood there and enjoyed the way his hands touched me inappropriately.
“My injury is my ankle.” He sheepishly looked at me with a modicum of embarrassment, but I never said it didn’t feel good.
“I couldn’t help myself. Let’s go before I torture the both of us even further. I was just imagining what it would be like if you could look at yourself in the reflection and watch my face at the same time.” It was a tempting offer but I had to refuse and focus on how to stop my sister’s plan from unfolding.
CHAPTER 18
Travis
“I don’t know what the meaning of this is. Get your fuckin’ hands off of me. I will have your badge for this.” I was watching as the police escorted Jemma out of the house. There were three squad cars outside of Aurora and Andy’s old house.
“You’re under arrest for attempted murder. You have the right to remain silent, but every word you say can be used against you in a court of law…” They were reading her Miranda rights and making sure everything was done by the book.
“I won’t stand for this. I have the right to call a lawyer.” She looked frazzled and she kept giving Aurora the eye. “I will make sure you don’t even get a job as a god damn traffic cop.” She was struggling, but the handcuffs were keeping her from doing anything to cause her or the police officers any harm.
“Don’t say a word until our lawyer gets there.” Andy was standing by Jemma not knowing the evidence that was piling up by the second.
The police had to act quickly and had conducted a search warrant on the property. They had enough with the blown up portion of the video we had gotten from Fletcher to make an arrest.
It took a day to get the technicians to get anything useful.
Aurora was in the backseat of my mother’s car watching everything happen with her eyes wide open. She couldn’t bear to witness the display of theatrics. She stayed out of it.
The police found a journal with Jemma’s private thoughts. The plan was to kill Aurora. She detailed how she pricked her with a needle to make her lose consciousness at the top of the stairs. There was no need to push her. She lost her balance and consciousness sending her tumbling down the stairs.
Aurora remembered how Jemma was smugly eating an apple and did nothing to try to stop her from falling. She even talked about the inheritance of how easy it was going to be to take everything from her. The last entry was when she found Aurora was alive and out of a coma. She was determined to see her dead before December 24th.
Andy spotted Aurora in the car and came over with venom spewing from his lips.
“I can’t believe you would do this to your own sister. I hope this makes you happy. How could I ever love someone like you? It sickens me to think of how much time I wasted being with you. This isn’t over. Jemma will have her day in court. Make no mistake about it.” Andy was fueled by rage.[KC3]
I pulled Andy aside so Aurora didn’t have to endure him any further.
“This is neither the place nor the time to get into this. Each of them will have their time in court to tell their story. I would prepare yourself if I were you. I don’t think that Jemma is going to be able to talk her way out of this.” He didn’t want to believe it.
“This couldn’t have waited until after she had the baby. I can’t believe you would do this on Christmas Day. Don’t you have a heart?” Andy shouted, trying to get Aurora to respond.
Aurora couldn’t bear to look at him and didn’t dare say anything in rebuttal. Aurora had to make some phone calls to delay the meeting with the lawyers regarding the inheritance until the first of next year. The law firm didn’t question the nature of the delay and gladly obliged.
“You must understand Jemma tried to kill Aurora for the inheritance, right? Or are you so out of your mind? Brother, you need to take the blinders off eventually.”
“I can’t even look at the two of you. You should both be ashamed of yourself.” He raised his fist, but I shook my head to give him the idea nothing good could come from hostilities.
“You might want to consider what you’re going to do about the baby. There are a lot of decisions to be made. I need to go, but we’ll make sure to be there when the court decides on a date for her trial.” I didn’t envy his position. He looked like he was going to blow his top, but the police intervened and escorted him back to his home.
I got into the car and drove Aurora to the shop so that she could go over what she had brought in during the holiday rush. She wasn’t in the mood to talk after what had happened with Jemma.
Today was also the day that I had to do my one last job. I was dreading with this decision for the last few days.
“Aurora, I can stay with you at the store and not go. I can help you out around the store since you aren’t supposed to put much weight on your ankle.”
“I’m feeling much better. It’s ok, you’ve helped me enough. I know today is the day. Are you still going to do it?”
“I’m torn. Tell me what to do.” It was no secret that I was torn about this job.
“This is a decision that you’re going to have to make for yourself. I don’t like the idea of you putting yourself in danger for money. I know it might sound cliché, but we have each other. The rest will sort itself out. I wouldn’t be with you if the money you were going to make from this job was for selfish reasons.”
“The care facility is not covered by any kind of medical plan. It’s privately owned and operated. The cost per month is more than most people make in a month. Her savings is almost gone. This is the answer to all of my problems. I have to weigh the risk over the reward.”
She took my hands in hers and looked into my eyes.
“The harsh truth was that there was no way I can tell you not to do it. I guess I took it for granted. My ex-husband was footing the bill. He’s not exactly loaded, bu
t he managed with our savings. I’m sure he has been burning the candle at both ends to keep up with the bills and with my sister’s constant demands.”
“I just want you to know that I love you. I know it’s a mess right now, but I will get myself out of it. I promise you that I will be the better man that you deserve.”
She brought my hands to her lips and kissed my knuckles. “I love you too. Remember that you are a good man. I will see you soon.”
I hoped deep down inside that Aurora truly comprehended the reasons why I had to do what I was about to do. I hoped that she knew me enough and not give up on me. I wasn’t a praying man, but for her love I prayed to God that she would understand.
I drove away without looking back to see the disapproval on her face. I kept thinking there had to be a better way. It wasn’t long before I was at the dock.
I had the nondescript sedan idling at the curb an hour after leaving Aurora. I sat there with my driving gloves on watching from afar. I turned the engine off, sat there contemplating how I would cut all ties if I were to do it right at this minute, or what would happen if we get caught or what if Harper and Owen turn on me and throw me under the bus. The first scenario would mean there was no way for me to pay my mother’s bills. And if I were to be caught then who knew how many years I would sit in jail for. The logical answer was to back out of this. Maybe Aurora was right. But I had also given my word to Owen and Harper that I would do this job with them and it would be last.
My mind was racing a million miles a minute, thinking if there was a better way. Maybe there was another way to make the money…maybe I could secure a loan other than a loan shark to pay the medical bills…my head hurt from knowing that this job was probably my best bet.
I cracked open the window to get some fresh air. The cold air helped calm my nerves.
My mind wandered off to what happened with Jemma’s arrest earlier today. It still boggled my mind that Jemma was the one who orchestrated this whole thing for the inheritance. What kind of person was she to try to run Sheila and Aurora over while being eight and a half months pregnant?!
