Vampyre Rescuer

“I suppose you don’t have to worry about them gossiping about you and telling others how you bring women home, like you’ve done with me? I’m sure the privacy of this house makes the taking of life-force essence easy.”
His lips drew even tighter. “You are the exception, Delia. I never bring the same woman here more than once, and quite often, I book a room at a hotel.”
He was definitely upset, and she wished she didn’t feel the need to let him know she couldn’t forget he was a vampyre. Delia tried to make amends by questioning, “How long have you lived in this house?”
Herres looked at her, but didn’t answer. Now, there was an uncomfortable silence between them.
Mrs. Perty returned with a large salad bowl. She put it on the table close to Delia, and then went away. Herres lifted the servers and placed a generous helping of salad onto Delia’s plate. He said, “I know humans on Terra like a dressing on their salad. Do you?”
“That’s fine the way it is, thank you.”
He sat and watched her eat. It made her feel uncomfortable to be under his unwavering gaze.
She asked, “Aren’t you going to have some salad? It’s very good.”
“I’m well-nourished. I had my usual share of human essence at the Council meeting.”
So that was what they did at those meetings? Her concerns about why he was interested in her were well-founded.
“Did I just shock you? That was my intention. Since you believe I only want your essence, I thought I’d confirm your thoughts.” Herres drained his glass and poured more wine into it. When he offered to pour more for her, she shook her head. He ignored her body language and filled her glass almost to the top.
“Drink up. This wine should make you less caring when I feast on your essence.”
Delia bit her lip, not knowing what to do. She’d hurt him and now he was angry. Would he go so far as to actually take her life-force essence?
She offered, “I think I should leave. I didn’t mean to hurt you, but I don’t understand your interest in me other than you want my essence. You’re a vampyre, and according to the book I’ve read, essence-taking is your only motivation.”
“Do you think I’m that shallow? I’m genuinely attracted to you and want to do whatever makes you happy. If all I wanted was essence, I’d have taken yours when I rescued you from those vampires.”
Delia felt close to tears. She’d judged him on the information in one book and odd pieces of gossip she’d heard over the years. He’d been kind and generous to her and despite what she thought she knew about vampyres, she liked him. She said, “I’m sorry, Herres. I think you should find someone else who would appreciate what you’ve done.”
“I don’t want anyone else. Would you like some coffee?”
“Yes, please, that would be good.” Delia finished her salad and sat staring at her empty plate.
When Mrs. Perty came in to collect the salad bowl and plates, Herres requested, “Bring us some coffee.” He stroked Delia’s hand and added, “When we’ve finished, we’ll go into the study and sit by the fire. Then, I’ll try to make you understand that my interest is in you, not your essence. Also, to answer your question, I’ve lived here for a couple of centuries. How long have you lived in this area of the city?” He’d changed the subject and that made her feel less uncomfortable.
Delia replied, “I came here a few lunar cycles ago when Mr. Branly offered me employment. I moved from another part of the city with my lycan roommate, Callie. We’ve moved a couple of times in the past few years. She’s always looking for a long-term relationship with a lycan, and I always lose my job once my employer discovers I’m not fully human.”
“I wondered why I’ve only discovered you recently. Your friend is beautiful. I’m surprised she hasn’t found a lycan lover. So humans don’t like you because you’re different? Now you know how I feel.”
It satisfied Delia to learn that he could relate to her ongoing problem, and she was grateful for his honesty.
Mrs. Perty brought in the coffeepot, cream, and sugar on a tray, and asked, “Was everything satisfactory?”
Herres nodded, and Delia answered, “Please tell the cook the soup and salad were delicious.”
Once Mrs. Perty was gone, he expressed, “Betsy prides herself on what she cooks and prepares. She’ll be happy to know what you’ve said. Drink your coffee, and then we’ll go into the study.”
They both drank a couple of cups of coffee. Herres poured the remainder of the white wine into their glasses and lifted them. Delia walked at his side as they made their way to the study.
Chapter Nine
Herres placed the glasses on the side table, threw a couple of logs on the fire and sat down in the armchair. He grasped Delia’s arm and made her sit on his lap. She knew it would be useless to object, so she asked, “Have you always lived in this city?”
“I’ve lived here most of my life, although I stayed on Terra for a number of years. That was when I was young and far more adventurous. There are many humans on that world, so I was never without a supply of essence. I’ve lived in several houses in different parts of our city and this is my favorite.” He sipped his wine before asking, “Have you been to Terra?”
“No, I’m content to stay here, but my roommate has. That was before I knew her. Callie said she’d never do it again because the journey there and back was horrible. The motion made her feel nauseous and totally off-balance.”
“Perhaps she used an unstable portal? They can affect our bodies as we pass through the dimensional divide.”
“That was probably the reason. I’m far less brave than Callie, she’ll do anything once. I think her inner wolf doesn’t know fear.”
“As opposed to your inner angel that requires caution.”
“I guess so.”
“But don’t forget you’re here right now with a vampyre. Many would consider that to be extremely unwise, but I think it’s daring of you.” He gave Delia her glass of wine.
She drank some, and then placed it back on the table. “So now you’re giving me a compliment? Is this a new tactic?”
“Maybe it is. Does it make you feel more trusting of me? Is it working?”
Delia nodded. “I don’t get too many of them.”
Herres undid her chignon. “Remember, this is how I like to see your hair.” He combed his fingers repeatedly through it, and added, “Your golden hair is beautiful, sweet Delia.”
“Ah, I’m getting another compliment from the vampyre. You must want something in return.”
“Well, firstly, I want you to listen to what I mentioned before. I care about you much more than about your essence. It is an added feature of your appeal, but not what attracts me to you. Will you listen to my explanation?”
“Yes, I want to hear it.”
“To say to a vampyre that he or she shouldn’t take essence is like telling a human he or she must not eat food. Without life-force essence, a vampyre dies. My understanding is it’s a very slow and extremely painful death. Although my life can be boring because I’ve lived so long, I have no desire to end it, therefore, I extract essence from whomever when I have need of it. However, I wasn’t in need when I took a tiny portion of yours. I was curious to find out whether it was similar to the essence of others like you. It wasn’t. Yours is uplifting, whereas theirs felt disapproving of me. I want to have more of yours, when you are willing to let me take it, and I’ll always share mine with affection and make sure yours isn’t depleted.”
Delia had listened carefully to what he explained. She’d never thought about life-force essence being vital to vampyres, her previous perception was that they enjoyed taking it purely because of their demonic nature. She was part human and had to eat food at times, or she would die. Similarly, if Herres didn’t extract the essence from someone, he would die.
“I’ve always thought the taking of life-force essence from someone, was evil, a kind of demonic trait. Now, you’ve made me realize you can’t stop extra
cting it any more than I can stop eating food. You’re making me see vampyres in a whole different light.”
“Providing you see me in a whole different light, I’ll be satisfied. Many vampyres are influenced by their demon nature. They drain the essence completely when there is no need to do that. I only take what I require at the time, and I always wipe the memory of me and what I’ve done from the mind of the giver.” He chuckled. “In my younger day, however, my inner demon wanted plenty of sex and not just a quick intercourse. There was lots of licking, biting, fingering, and demon delight.”
“What is that?”
“You’ll know it as sodomy or anal play. If your angel approves, I’ll give you a taste tonight.” Herres licked her cheek and gently bit her earlobe.
Did he want to tease her or preview what he intended to do? She was hesitant to ask, yet her inner angel wasn’t horrified. “Your demon might be old, but he likes to tease and shock.”
“Believe me he’s one-hundred-percent vampyre and he rarely teases. I would love to give you demon delight. Perhaps I can if we see what your angel will allow right now.”
Before she could stop him, he pulled up her skirt and placed his hand on top of her panties. Delia remained still; a part of her didn’t want to prevent him from doing more. Next, he slid his hand under her panties and rested his fingers against her special place. Herres lifted her chin so that she had to look into his eyes. There was a raw hunger in their depths.
“Shall I do more, my little Delia?”
She wanted to answer in the affirmative but also say “No” at the same time. All she could do was stare back at the vampyre, forcing him to make a decision.
His long fingers stroked her and he informed, “I’m going to continue because you’re already wet for me and that means you don’t want me to stop.” He found her clit and began circling and pressing it. That action aroused her. She squirmed on his lap. Herres increased the pressure and she moaned.
“I believe you like that, so I’ll try something else.” Herres eased the pressure, lifted his finger and inserted it inside her. Then, he added a second and a third finger. He made his fingers vibrate and she uttered a little cry because it felt so good. This act continued for a couple of minutes, and then he shuddered, withdrew his hand and smoothed down her skirt. “No more right now, Delia. When I take you to bed, we can explore each other in comfort. This armchair was not made for sex.” He tapped the gold bracelet. “Would you like me to tell you the names of these symbols?”
Delia attempted to bring herself back from such sensual arousing. She managed to utter, “Yes.”
Herres worked his way around the bracelet, pointing at each symbol and saying its name in the vampyre language. He didn’t translate and she didn’t ask him to because she was busy wondering why he’d turned her on so quickly. Why hadn’t she tried to stop his intimate fingering? Was she filled with lust just like him? No, he must have done that vampyre thing where he compelled her to like what he did. And oh, how she liked it. She would have let him take her right there in the armchair, on the floor, or bent over his desk. This was insane; she must leave his home before he took her to his bed.
“You’re very quiet, Delia. I thought you would pester me for a translation of the symbols’ names. There are no words in the human language which have the exact same meaning, and the angel tongue has no such words because it’s too pure. All I’ll say is the symbols tell you how much I care about you and how I wish to show you my desire.”
Now, she felt reasonably back to normal. “I think I understand. For example, there’s a symbol that means demon delight. Is that correct?”
Herres hugged her and replied, “My little Delia is quick to understand. I’ll give you a demonstration of another symbol’s meaning when we go to my bedroom. Vampyres are somewhat obsessed with sex. I trust that doesn’t offend your inner angel?”
The mantel clock chimed nine times and Delia tried to get off his lap, but he held her close.
“It’s getting late and I should go home. Do you think Steven would drive me to my apartment?”
“Steven does whatever I say, but I won’t tell him to drive you home. You’re going to stay here tonight, and again tomorrow, because I know the bookstore is closed all day. We’ll sit here and finish our wine, and then we’ll go to bed.”
“Am I your prisoner? For a while I forgot you’re a vampyre, but now I remember. You use others to gain sexual satisfaction and a dose of life-force essence. You’ll take what you want from me, and then banish all memory of your actions from my mind.”
“Did I make you forget what we did last night? No. I want you to remember everything I do to you. Perhaps you’re thinking you must be under my influence and that is why you want to leave. Be aware that my demon is stronger than your angel and he could make you do whatever he wants, but he won’t because he cares about you. I didn’t make you like what I just did. You wanted it, even though your inner angel might now be disapproving of the way I made you feel. However, I know you are pure and this tainted vampyre is only asking to share his affection with you.”
“This is crazy. If you didn’t make me like it and I’m not full of lust, what just happened? I didn’t want you to stop.”
“I believe we are both attracted to each other. I knew this the first time I saw you, and you have recently realized it. Let’s discover how strong the bond is between us.” Herres lifted the two glasses, gave Delia hers, and drank the remainder of his.
She finished her wine while continuing to feel ambivalent. Her human side wanted to stay, but her inner angel urged her to leave. Even as the last drop of wine entered her mouth, he took command of the situation and placed the glasses on the table. Then he stood up, while holding Delia, and carried her to his bedroom. He sat her on the side of the bed, kicked off his boots, and unbuttoned her blouse. As he removed it, he grasped her arms and lifted her into a standing position. Delia didn’t attempt to stop him; his charismatic vampyre power seemed to be affecting her again. The next items to be removed were her shoes, skirt, pantyhose, and panties. Only her bra remained.
Herres lifted her arm and pointed to one of the symbols on the bracelet. “I’m going to show you what this is about.” He knelt down in front of her, placed his hands on her thighs and moved her legs slightly apart. Leaning his head down, his tongue found its way between her vaginal folds and located her clit. He began licking it, over and over, and telepathically informed, “You taste sweeter than I could have imagined.”
Delia surrendered to his wild foreplay. She didn’t know if he was or wasn’t exerting his power over her, and she didn’t care. All she wanted was to give her body to him completely. As though coming from someone separate, she heard her voice say, “Please do more, Herres.”
He jumped up, tore off his shirt, jeans, underpants, and her bra. Lifting her onto the bed, he lay Delia down and straddled her. She loved the feel of his gorgeous body touching hers. Delia knew his lovemaking was fierce and his distinctive scent made her feel ready for whatever he might do.
Herres kissed her mouth in a long, lingering, passionate manner, and then he leaned up, pulled her legs apart and announced, “I don’t care if your angel doesn’t like what I do. I’m a vampyre who has to keep possessing you.” He thrust his cock inside her and she held her breath because it hurt in an ecstatic way.
“Relax, don’t be tense. I want to enter you as deeply as possible.” He positioned her legs around his waist and she felt his fullness claim a deeper part of her. Just like the time before it was much better than anything she’d ever experienced, and a low moan escaped her mouth.
He lay on top of Delia, but kept his body weight off her by placing his hands on either side of her shoulders. Now, he was thrusting in and out, while alternating between groans and muttering, “Mine, mine, mine.” His movement was taking her to a new place of awareness. No one had ever made her feel remotely like this vampyre did. Almost immediately, her body was matching his movement and she whimpered
and squealed from the building ecstasy. An orgasm took hold inside Delia and the vampyre’s wild pounding soon caused it to erupt. She gasped with the release and lay in a state of bliss while his thrusting increased until, with a shuddering groan, he also climaxed.
They remained joined with Delia still and Herres continuing to shudder. When he was finally still, he stated, “Sweet Delia, I must take you once more.”
He began his wonderful action again, and she welcomed his fierceness by whispering, “Yes, Herres, I’m yours.”
This time was less hurried and yet more savage with both of them making sounds that displayed their intense desire. They climaxed together with Delia arching her body to receive his vampyre fluid. There was silence for a while, and then he withdrew, rolled over, and held her to his chest.
“Have I managed to please your angel or is she scolding you?”
“She’s very quiet, so I don’t think she has a complaint.”
“I certainly don’t. You were as yielding as last night. Do you like my fierceness or should I apologize for it? My demon nature is in control when I make love.”
Delia felt happy enough to tease him, but she decided to be honest. “I love what you do to me.”
“That’s good, because now my demon wants more. He’s urging me to give you demon delight. Shall I?”
Delia was surprised at her appetite for this vampyre. She longed for whatever he would do to her. “I want to make your demon happy, so give me some of his delight.”
Herres turned her away from him, grasped her hips and pulled her toward him. She felt him plunge into her anus and she went rigid in a reflex action.
“You don’t like this? I wondered if your angel might disapprove. Shall I withdraw?”
“No, I was just surprised. You didn’t mess around, but struck before I was ready.”
He chuckled. “I like your choice of word. Yes, I did strike immediately, so that your angel wouldn’t have time to think about what I intended to do. Now, let me delight you and myself.” Herres put one arm around her and pushed deeper. With his other hand, he found her clit and rubbed it into submission.
