  “Who is that?” I ask.

“It's hard to tell, they have a hood up, and they’re not lit very well,” he says.

We watch as the body walks from the dim light down the street. We have no way to check who is missing because the door to the roof is locked.

“Just keep this between us and the others when we see them,” Owen mumbles, quietly. “If they go out again we might be able to find out who it is.”

“Has Mike put cameras up around here?”

“I never noticed any, to be honest, maybe the club was his priority.”

“Not much more we can do now, so we better get some sleep, otherwise we’ll be useless tomorrow,” I reply. We pull the doors closed and lay in each other’s arms and watch the stars. Our spent bodies quickly fall into a deep sleep.

I wake to Owen shaking me and smiling. “We have visitors,” he says.

I rub my eyes and see Bob with Britney. It looks as if he is teaching her Thai Chi, or some other form of Asian movement.

  “Morning you two,” Owen yells.

Bob jumps startled. “Jesus, you two, what the hell are you doing there?”

Britney hobbles over to the shed and rests herself on the bench. I smile. “Owen had nowhere to sleep, so I thought I would keep him company,” I reply.

“I believe you did, your pajama pants are inside out,” says Britney.

I look down and giggle. “How are things with the councilors after my bombshell that Owen dropped?” I ask Bob.

Bob sits on the bench next to Britney. “Beau can point the finger at the staff who work under the four councilors for making the paper trails vanish. And Ty is busy with his recon on the police precinct, which we’ve surmised is just a front for the vault,” Bob explains.

“He has to get inside though, how the hell can we do that?” I ask.

“Mikey came up with an idea to just have someone arrested, so, the cops, even if they’re not cops, will have to go through the motions.

“Don’t do that, send me in instead,” Britney says.

Bob looks at her. “We can’t do that.”

“Why not? I have an idea what I'm looking for, and I'm a stupid blonde who loves to play with her cell phone, avec mon camera.”

“Less of the French, and it might be a better solution,” I say. “You know how cops love to help a damsel in distress.”

“Yeah, I take off my bandage and have a vehicle problem. And while they try and fix it, I can video what is happening inside,” Britney says.

“When do you think we can set this up?” Owen asks.

Britney leans forward and turns to Owen. “Today, we have no idea what this other bitch is up to.”

“There we have it then, the second part of the plan for team A. God, we’ll have to get you close and then fix your car, so it breaks down,” Bob says.

Bob helps Britney to stand and helps her to walk back to the roof door. Owen picks up the blankets and the pillows.

“You know, I think I’d prefer to stay here rather than go to a hotel,” he says.

“It's nicer, as long as the weather doesn’t change too drastically,” I reply

“Nah, we just close the doors, it will be like camping as kids.”

I smile at him, knowing he feels it too. “It's kind of different, and last night was really special.”

Owen grins as he puts the blankets and pillows away. “That’s settled, very perfectly. Welcome to my home.”

“No one needs shooting stars to make wishes.”

  Owen

“Life can be so much stranger than things that have been written.”

We’d all passed through the restaurant at some point during the morning. Information was given, and we all had our eyes and ears open for any sign of The Kingmaker’s elusive daughter.

Mike, the builder, found an old car for Britney to do her thing in, and Ty would meet her out past the cop precinct later. Just to make sure a hose was split and not a quick repair.

The girls were being knocked into shape and were quite surprised when Orlando arrived on stage and began to dance along with them.

“Come on girls, get your hips into it,” I hear Orlando bellowing from the stage.

I walk into the restaurant and stand by the counter to get a top-up of my coffee. Joseph sidles up beside me. “I heard you slept on the roof?” he says.

“Yeah, that was awesome. We did hear someone go out through the gate at around two thirty this morning,” I say. “Who it was, I don’t know.”

“I don’t think it’s the one we’re looking for, that would be way too obvious. But, in saying that, we don’t even know if she is one of the girls here or not.”

The waiter hands me a fresh coffee. I turn to Joseph. “If she isn’t here inside the club, how else could she know the situation?”

“I spoke to Brent, he said there have been quite a few contractors arriving. Cleaners, delivery people.”

“We have no way of knowing then,” I reply.

“Not until they make a move, and there is always the possibility your source got it wrong,” Joseph comments. He sips his coffee. His face changes to pure pleasure. He looks like a cat having its belly scratched.

“Don’t say we could be panicking over something that isn’t going to happen,” I reply.

We turn and walk to the table. Alex and Brooke are together talking as they eat breakfast.

“Not eating at your hotel?” I ask.

“The food is nicer here,” Brooke says.

“So, where do we stand? Group one has their jobs, now we have to figure out our plan,” I say.

Joseph places his cup on the table. “Tina wants to go with Ty, if those cops are ex-military, she is the best person to scope them out. Brooke and Alex are off to see Ingrid the Russian about her complications with the councilors, and I think Bell and Shona are going shopping,” Joseph explains.

“Shopping at a time like this?” I ask, confused by his words.

“Not shopping, shopping,” Joseph says smiling.

  “I get you,” I reply.

I leave the restaurant and walk to the office. I have to call my source and make sure that what I was told is actually true… and that The Kingmaker has a daughter.

I close the door and head over to sit behind the desk. I glance into the club as I pull out my cell phone. “Hi Gerrard, it's me.”

“Hey Owen, how are you getting on?”

“Slightly perplexed, we all are,” I reply. “The Kingmaker’s daughter, there is no sign of her here, or she isn’t doing anything.”

“You want to know if my information is correct, is that it?” he asks.

  “Sort of, yeah.”

“It's solid, trust me,” he replies.

“There is another thing, is his daughter his flesh and blood or a clone?” I ask.

“Flesh and blood. I did ask about the mother, but I came up blank. I can ask around again, though.”

“We have a guy checking in Mexico if there’s anything down there, but I'm not sure he would have had children in Mexico,” I say.

“The impression I got was she is a full-blooded American.”

“There is only one though, right?” I ask. “No chance of any others showing up?”

“That’s difficult to say. If you want to really push the envelope, you could say his daughter carried on with his work and did some cloning of her own.”

I feel my heart sink. “I don’t want to think of that scenario at all.”

“I better get going, I'll do some more digging,” Gerrard says as he hangs up the phone.

I walk from the office into the music blasting from out from the stage. The girls do look good. Even the cute brunette with shoulder length hair who is staring at me. Janey looks hotter than hot! Fuck!

“Concentrate on what you're doing,” I shout to Janey.

“Don’t worry about me,” she replies rubbing her breasts and sticking her tongue out.

I head back toward the restaurant and see B
rent talking to a guy at the door. I amble over to see if he needs any assistance.

  “Who is this?” I ask.

“He’s from the fire department, he’s come to check all the electrics,” Brent says.

“Mike is the best person for him to speak to, it was his guys that did all the work,” I say. Brent gestures to Mike, and like magic, Mike makes his way over and takes care of the fire department guy.

“Now we're going to be under pressure,” Brent says.

“This government problem of yours is going to come at you like a tidal wave soon. You better let Beau know, they’ll have to fend off their attack.”

Brent walks through the club shaking his head. Bell runs over and throws her arms around his neck.

Everyone here is in a real and deep relationship… it’s really, unbelievably strange. It’s like a haven for couples.

“Hey Mister is there an Owen here?” I hear from behind me. I turn and see a delivery guy holding an envelope.

  “I'm Owen.”

“Important document for you,” the guy says.

  “No one knows I'm here.”

“Yes, they do. This was delivered by hand to our local office and they told us to deliver it here.” I sign for the envelope and walk into the club. Janey comes over to me as I turn it over in my hand.

  “What’s that?” she asks.

“An envelope was delivered to a local office, they said to give it to me… here.”

  “Who knows you're here?”

  “No one.”

I open the envelope and look inside. There is a separate piece of paper. I slide my hand in and grab hold of the single folded note.

  “What is it?” Janey questions.

“It’s bizarre, that’s what it is,” I say. “It just says that I'm not a triplet, that I was born natural, and I have another sibling… another sister.”

  “Is it signed by anyone?”

“No, and no other marks,” I say. I feel shocked by it.

Janey looks at me curiously. “Who and why? And why now?”

“This puts a different spin on things,” I say. “It means I had real parents. I'm not from The Kingmaker.”

“Oh my god,” says Janey. I stare at the paper and rub my fingers gently across the surface.

“Something has been written before, on here. I need a pencil.”

We head out to Bob's office. They’re busy finalizing a way to approach the government agencies regarding the paperwork to contact the councilors with.

“Bob, I’ve just received this. Can you make sense of the faint indentations that were written before?” I ask.

“I can, but we need a fingerprint kit. A pencil will be too hard.”

He looks at me with his usual semi-serious stare. I really like Bob, and there’s something about him I just can’t put my finger on.

I look at him. He’s already busy on his computer, again. “I'll message Shona to try and get one on her so-called ‘shopping trip.’”

“I'll keep it safe,” Bob says. He places the note under his desk and it’s gone. It’s as if it never existed in the first place.

“Give me a shout later when you’ve had a look,” I say.

  “Of course.”

I walk up the stairs with Janey. I stand on the top step and look at her. “What happens if all this is a charade?” I ask plainly, unsure what to believe.

“I don’t know what you mean?”

“There’s the club and the councilor scenario, that’s a done deal,” I say. “But what if all this about The Kingmaker’s daughter is baloney. I mean, what if we're being taken for fools?”

“Yes, but who would do that?”

“It would be someone who knows all of us. And with everyone here, maybe we’ve made it extra easy for them,” I say.

Janey looks at me curiously. “So, you're saying some of them should leave?”

“I think that’s exactly what I mean. If we're being played, what easier way to control everyone while we're together? If we’re spread out, we might have an advantage,” I explain.

Janey looks at me and smiles. “You sound really ridiculous saying that, but I have to agree. It makes a whole lot of sense, actually.”

“Who do we send back home? That’s the million-dollar question.”

“Come on, let’s go and talk about it some more,” Janey says.

I take hold of her arm. “You do realize, since we slept on the roof, we haven’t showered yet.”

“I'll tell you something for nothing. Now, if we're being played somehow, whoever is doing all of this will have you and me naked in the shower together,” Janey says.

I look down into her hazel eyes, slightly confused, but trying to understand. “You think all of this could be planned? And that what we do has been sort of written down before hand?” I ask.

“Don’t be fucking stupid. I was joking, I just want to get you into the shower naked,” Janey says.

I begin laughing as Janey drags me across the living room to the stairs leading up to the bedrooms. “I hope there are towels. I don’t think I packed one,” I reply.

She pulls me harder. “We can drip dry on the roof!”

“Life can be so much stranger than things that have been written.”

  Janey

“It has been written. Whatever will be, will be, no matter what happens!”

Things that were happening around the club were becoming very bizarre indeed. It all started the moment Joseph walked into the restaurant with Owen. One simple statement from Owen had set a whole different chain of events happening. What if he hadn’t arrived? I mean, how would it all be different?” I am going to take advantage of what I have in front of me.

It just so happens that I have Owen in front of me. He definitely has a really nice, huge, gorgeous, sexy, yummy cock. I am going to get him in the shower. Fuck it. I’m going to enjoy myself, regardless of what’s been going on.

I’m a biker chick through and through.

I tug at Owen’s shirt and pull it free from his body. His pants loosen as I drop his belt onto the white tiled floor.

“You do realize it wasn’t all that long ago that we had mind blowing sex?” Owen says as he slips from his shorts.

I pull down my inside out pajama pants and nod. “Yeah, I know,” I reply with a wicked smile. “Just go with the flow, if you can deal it, I can take it.”

“How come I never met a woman like you before?” Owen asks.

“Owen, listen to what you’re saying. Maybe you were never supposed to find a girl like me… until now!”

“Oh dear, this is too much. All those years wasted; I was never going to find the woman of my dreams, but now, here you are.”

“We all know the world is a strange place. Someone, somewhere, has a bigger picture than we do.”

Owen lifts my pajama top over my head. I reach into the shower and I can feel the water is slowly getting warmer. I push my hands against Owen’s arm. He stumbles into the blast of the water.

I giggle profusely as he reaches and pulls me into his wet embrace. “It’s fun, you have to admit, we have no idea what is going to happen,” I say. He raises an eyebrow.

I step back and pull my hair back over my shoulders. My head tilts gently as my breasts push forward, closer to Owen. I feel him cupping my breasts as the water runs from my nipples. His fingers fumble with my eager nipples as he eyes them. He seductively squeezes my fullness and flicks his tongue across my sensitive skin. I let out a breath as he ignites my core.

I run my hands over Owen’s large, barrel chest. My fingers trace lines down the side of his body, and then lovingly down to his masculine hips. I move my hands to his back and gently dig my nails into his firm buttocks. I want him again, and I feel myself pulled to him, as if by magic.

Owen steps forward, I feel my erect nipples rubbing against his smooth skin. His hands caress my shapely curves as he pushes his hand between the junction of my thighs. I spread my legs, wanting him immediately. Shower
water cascades over my body and runs to the soft mound of my pussy. Warm water drips from the skin of my labia, like nectar dripping from an overripe fruit.

I push my head closer to Owen’s neck. I raise my mouth and whisper, trying not to laugh at my own cheekiness. “If all of this has been scripted, we 're supposed to have sex,” I say being cute. “No sex… let’s just play.” Owen nods and agrees.

It was quite evident; none of us could do anything wrong. Shona had been through hell and had come through the other side. Then the others… all the way to Brent and Bell. It was truly remarkable.

My mind is distracted from my thoughts as Owen slips the tip of his finger between my pussy lips. I rest my head on the shower wall and arch my back. I push my pert breasts further to him, then my hips follow. My pussy pushes toward his fingers as he slides into my hot, sweet pleasure.

“Fuck me, Owen that feels good,” I murmur.

Owen spreads my pussy wider and slides a second finger inside of me. I whimper with excitement as he begins driving his fingers into the hot arousal of my sex.

My head rolls as my body fills with excitement and anticipation. Why did I say no sex? A test! That’s why, and you know it…

I hear the slapping of Owen’s hand as he drives his fingers deeper inside me. I sigh and bite my lip as I let out groans of horny pleasure. I pull my hands from his ass and cup his large balls. I swirl my fingers and feel his body responding to my soft caress. His pulse begins to slowly engorge his cock, and the twitching starts as the evidence of his arousal slowly grows under my spell.

My fingers wrap around the base of his shaft, I pull my hand forward and back. The head of his cock swells as the skin tightens. I rub my thumb across his sensitive slit. Owen bows his head and rests his hand against the shower wall.

I feel his fingers curl inside my pussy, and now, his strong-arm lifts me to my toes as his fingers dive deeper inside me. I whimper with total ecstasy and want for this perfect man. His fingers probe and tease the inner depths of me. My hips push further forward as his fingers plunge deeper into my wetness.
