“What was this man’s name that stopped the Rune?” Jhahnahkan had to ask.

An older gentleman spoke up from the crowed of council members, “That man’s name was Uttarak, my great grandson.”

Jhahnahkan immediately recognized the voice of Roth’stavous and returned a smile and nodded his head with satisfaction.

He turned to his father and bowed to his authority, “My father. I thank you for returning honor to the house of Sö’... I will ask that you remain in command of the high council… for a time. All is forgiven my father.”

He reached over and kissed Qiaoshan’s ring signifying that the new leader of the high council would give his authority to another during a time of absence.

“My son!” Qiaoshan said with pride in his eyes, “I am honored that you chose me to continue to lead our people, but I must ask, where are you are going?”

“I am going to find our heritage father,” Jhahnahkan said as he stood to his feet and stepped to one side, “We have forgotten our legacy and we must reconnect.”

Jhahnahkan stretched out his arms wide and opened a vortex; he leaped into the maelstrom and closed it behind him.

“How did he just do that?” Tamika asked, “He didn’t have a power crystal.”

A little old lady came out from behind some of the other council members. She tapped her cane as her bent frame was supported. The woman walked up to Tamika.

The old lady looked up at her granddaughter and smiled, “Simple questions get simple answers my dear.”

Jhahnahkan walked the streets of Rosemont and soon came to a tavern that rested on the side of the road. The sign above was somehow very inviting to him. The front of the building had a red neon sign that read Katie’s Roadhouse.

He saw a familiar blue rusted pickup truck parked in the lot next to a pair of motorcycles, which he too remembered. He knew that Rex and the Russell brothers were inside.

He pulled the door open and walked into the dimly lit room and looked around. His first glance he noticed that the Russell brothers were playing pool, their own style. The little man that had stared at them was there, sitting alone as he had before, nervously sipping his brew.

Rex sat at his usual place at the bar with his back to Jhahnahkan. He came to the bar and took a seat next to his old friend.

Rex looked over at him and sized him up and down, “Do I know you from somewhere?”

“You might say that,” Jhahnahkan said.

“That’s John,” Glenda said as she wiped the bar down with a damp towel.

“How do you know my name miss?” Jhahnahkan said trying to hide the fact that he knew her.

She continued to wipe the bar in front of Jhahnahkan, “I really don’t know, but you look like a John to me.” She smiled.

The room turned quiet at the scuffle the Russell brothers began with the little man.

Tim looked over at the man that sat at a table all alone. He walked over and picked him up by the collar. “You… you stop starin’ at us. What’s the matter with ya? Ya stupid or something?” he said to him with an intimidating voice.

The man answered, “No, sir. I wasn’t looking at you. I was looking past you.”

“Don’ lie to me, boy, or I’ll whip your ass!” Tim said to the man.

“Don’t hurt me, Tim. I promise I’ll not look anymore.”

Just about when Tim was going to force the man into buy their drinks, Jhahnahkan stood and walked over to Tim and placed his hand gently on his left temple.

Tim put the man down and turned to face Jhahnahkan, “What is it with these strangers wanting to take away all our fun?”

“You will be kind to one another from now on,” Jhahnahkan said looking into his eyes, “you and your brother will not hurt anyone ever again. You will change… you shall become well known in these parts as the new law enforcers.”

Tim and Chuck both acknowledged this strange man and carried about their business, leaving the small man to himself.

The two shook their heads and commented that they were sure they had met this John before.

The man thanked Jhahnahkan profusely and tried to offer him money, but he pushed his hand away and touched him on his temple, you shall have more confidence and will trust the things you say and know, Jhahnahkan projected into the man’s mind.

Rex and Glenda both talked quietly about their new friend. Both knew that they had met him before, but neither could put their finger on where.

Jhahnahkan watched the door to the bar open once more and Sheriff Matson strolled in, “Pour me a tall one Glenda!” the sheriff ordered.

Jhahnahkan stepped over to the Sheriff and commanded him to stop drinking in uniform. He told him he was to turn in his badge in the morning and leave town forever, Rosemont had no place for such actions from law enforcement.

The sheriff nodded his head as if in a trance, turned and walked out of the bar. The crowd applauded and shouted cheers as they saw the biggest law bully of the town evicted from his post.

A woman stood in the darkened doorway with one arm resting on the frame and the other on her hip. She had shoulder-length brunette hair and was slim but with a curvaceous figure. Her eyes were sparkling brown, and her cheeks were rosy red. “Hi, my name is Kate. And what’s your name, mister?” she said.

“My name is Jhahnahkan of the house of Sö’,” he smiled.

“I know you,” Kate said, “You’re the stranger that is to come into my life!”

“How do you know about me?”

“A little old woman told me about you, I’ve forgotten her name now, haven’t seen her in years.”

“Well,” Jhahnahkan said, “I have a feeling we will be getting to know one another very well.”

Kate looked into his eyes and smiled, “Shut up Jhahnahkan and kiss me you fool.”

  “How do you…”

“Never mind how I know, I just do,” she whispered in his ear quietly before kissing him on his lips.

  This was their destiny.

  Time Travel Concept

Time travel is the concept of moving between different points in time in a manner equivalent to moving between different points in space. Time travel could involve moving backward in time to a moment earlier than the starting point or forward to the future of that point without the need for the traveler to experience the intervening period. Backward time travel would have the potential to introduce paradoxes related to causality.

Albert Einstein theorized that the universe would not make sense without time and he thought the same about space. With these two thoughts, he created the idea of the fourth dimension: space or space-time. This also gave scientists a different look at what gravity was: the bending of space-time. According to Einstein, in the fourth dimension we exist at all points in time. Our past, present, and future selves exist simultaneously.

Now we introduce the fifth dimension which is what theoretically makes time travel possible. Imagine a linear timeline and we exist on a point in the moving timeline, but if Einstein was correct, then our life energy would be on every point in the timeline at the same time. Now imagine the timeline being warped to now form a circle. You now have the theory that time is circular. Taking this theory one step further, break the circle at some point and then stretch it out and twist it into a spiral. You now have a helix. The fifth dimension is then accessed by a traveler from some outside force, either manmade or naturally occurring, and traverses down the center of this time-helix axis. The concept of actual time travel is the ability or knowledge of how to intercept the time-helix axis and exit at whatever time point that the traveler should desire, thus making time travel a reality.

  Forgotten Legacy

  Part I – Survival

  Chapter 1

  Astra

Roche limit: the distance from a planet's center within which a satellite can neither approach nor reside without being disrupted by tidal forces

  Mariam-Webster

Over twenty-thousand years ago, from present day, there was once a planet that existed in the fifth orbit around the Sun. It was in a close proximity orbit stationed around the forth planet called Mars.

Astra flourished with richness and abundance and was inhabited by four billion people in a reasonably technologically advanced state.

On this day, the sun rose just like any other day on Astra. The hustle and bustle of life went on in its usual manner. However, today was not going to be just any typical day in the life of this world. The two fighting factions of the Anunnaki, who made up the occupants of Astra, would change the face of the solar system forever.

The planet Astra drifted closer and closer to the planet Mars after the catastrophic damage that occurred from their massive weapons discharge. The weapons array had been tied into the planetary core which was used as their power source. The planet shook and quaked violently, fire erupted from fissures and enormous cracks in the planets crust. Oceans began to evaporate and volcanos that had not erupted for centuries began spewing lava and core matter into the air.

The people of Astra tried to escape the impending disaster, but those who were not able to make orbit, or even at a far enough distance from the plant’s gravity, were trapped.

Their ships were way underpowered against the massive tug between the two planetary bodies, preventing them from making their getaway.

Astra entered the Roche limit of Mars in just a few hours after the main event had happened. The planet exploded under the unnatural strain of the two bodies coming together.

This caused a cascade of hundreds of thousands of impacting meteors that struck the surface leaving craters littering the Mars surface. Forty percent of the southern hemisphere of Mars was peppered on the surface from the exploding planet fragments in the impact region.

The remaining planetary fragments drifted outward and formed new orbits around the sun between the planet Jupiter and Mars.

The resulting planetary explosion caused the Mars atmosphere, water, and all life to be vented into space. This left their new promising home of the Anunnaki an empty dream of new cultural development that would now never occur.

Four billion lives were lost in a matter of three short minutes. The cries of the people could be heard in the minds of the fifty thousand survivors that remained. Less than four hundred ships had managed to avoid the event. There was nothing left and there was no place to go.

The young Roth’stavous commanded the Luna Aura, and appeared to be that he was the only survivor of the royal family and had to step up and take the role of leader.

His father, Ran’Damon, had likely perished with the rest of his family in the disaster, leaving an empty government body that would have to be filled.

He gathered the remaining fleet; a mixture of both North and South factions. The bitterness only worsened between the two. Each side blamed the other for this disaster, but survival was the only thing that needed to be on the minds of the Anunnaki. They must put their differences aside or they could face total annihilation of their race.

Roth’stavous provided safe coordinates for the surviving ships away from the planet Mars. They also needed to stay as far away from the now drifting asteroid field which was the only thing that remained of Astra. He named these planetary fragments the Asteroid Belt in remembrance of Astra. The only home he had ever known was now adrift in the form of these celestial bodies of rocks. He wanted to make sure that no one ever forgot this day in the history of his people.

They had a long journey ahead of them and he needed to guarantee that he brought his people to a new place they could call home; a place they could populate and survive. But deep down he knew the Anunnaki faced falling back into the war that had caused this to happen.

As the fleet gathered together, he began plotting a course to the only remaining planetary body in this solar system which would sustain life, Terra Firma; the third planet from the sun.

As he waited for the fleet to assemble he sat back in his command chair on the bridge of the Luna Aura and recalled the events that led up to this tragedy.

  Astra High Council

  Three Days Ago

The leader of the Anunnaki people was called Ran’Damon. He and his wife, B’anyan, raised three sons. The eldest son was named Ethos, followed by Gamu, and finally, Roth’stavous, who was the youngest and least experienced. He was given a seat on the advisory board regardless of his age due to being one of the three sons of Ran’Damon. No one really took anything he had to offer seriously.

The right to succession as High Council Leader was always held by the eldest son after the passing of the current leader. Ran’Damon was a healthy man, so the three siblings would have to wait many long years before they would be able to take control and lead the council.

The long and drawn out fight between the two controlling factions of Astra would seem to never come to an end. They had fought for reasons that no one really remembered a
ny longer. For now, they fought for land rights and colonization territories on the neighboring planet Mars.

Mars was a medium sized planet and was in view from the surface of Astra and its red colored landscape had always been visible from the planet surface.

Colonization had only just begun a few months ago and if you looked close with a telescope, you could see some of the cities being built on the southern and northern hemispheres on the close planet.

The fight to win over who was going to control these new land claims had been one of the most heavily debated measures of the council. A decision was to be announced in days by the High Council Leader, and High Priestesses, of their decision on which side would rule the colonization. Many months had gone by with the council advisors playing their usual role of politicking trying to sway the vote in their favor. Both factions brought with them a number of good reasons and each had invested significantly in the first colonization efforts. But only one side would be chosen to oversee the operations which would ultimately allow the winning side to choose the most prime ground available. The southern hemisphere on Mars was deemed the most valuable since it was visible to Astra all year around.

“The council recognizes the pro council advisor Ethos for your closing comments.” Ran’Damon’s voice echoed in the high council chamber as he hit his stone gavel on the shiny marble table.

There were five council seats followed by five pro council advisors and five military advisors. Each faction also had a presence within the chamber and held four seats each.

Ethos stood to address the council, but was abruptly interrupted by the North faction’s leadership.

“We’ve heard enough about these southern plans, oh great leader!” Bisc said, “We request that there be no further delay in the decision.”

Bisc’s second in command, Phonatorus, stood with him and added, “No, we demand that we hear the final decision!”

  “Sit down gentleman!” Ran’Damon ordered.
