Southern Gossip: A Complicated Love Story

“Hm,” Jada responded with a light nod of the head. The smile on her face was one that Jennifer couldn’t quite feel out.
“Well, I’m Marlon’s girlfriend. It’s nice to meet you.”
Finally, Jada reached her hand out to shake Jennifer’s. “Likewise,” she responded. At that moment, they both sized each other up. Jada didn’t quite know her plans yet, but if she had any plans that included Marlon, Jennifer was the least of her worries to stop it. “Marlon, I love the place.” She said directing her attention over to him.
“Thanks,” he said glad that she broke the ice for him to finally be able to say something. “Are they being good to you in VIP?” he questioned like he was in business mode.
“Yeah, everything’s good. I was just heading outside for a moment of fresh air.” She said.
Jennifer didn’t like their interaction at all with each other and so she quickly cut in. “Well, we hope that you continue to enjoy your night. I’m sure we’ll be seeing you around.”
Jada grinned to herself. She’d not known a time that Marlon was in a serious relationship with anyone. He’d gotten lots of pussy, but no one could ever lock him down. Things had certainly changed in the five years that she’d been gone. Still with an unnerving smile on her face, she looked at Marlon’s pretty bitch and said, “Well, since I have no plans of leaving anytime soon, I’m sure that y’all will.” And with that, she walked off.
Chapter 9
Fen sat in bed with her laptop across her lap. She began reading over the gossip column that she had just finished in hopes that it would be perfect by the time Lynn received it for approval. As she read over the things that she’d written in, ‘Here’s The Tea,’ she smiled. It brought back memories of such an interesting night. She knew from prior waitress experiences, that just in passing people you could hear a lot of things being said in the background; especially gossip.
She stopped reading for a moment and rested her head back on the plush white pillows. Her life had incredibly changed in less than twenty-four hours. She’d gone from sleeping in her car to now laying in a soft bed at the Hilton Hotel. She’d gone from having no job to having two jobs. She’d even made new friends with her co-workers and all of them already felt like family. This was certainly a place that she was starting to feel at home and wanted nothing more than to please Lynn, because that secured her future stay in the city.
She leaned up, taking a look at the time. Her article had to be in by six o’clock that morning and it was already almost five o’clock.
“Talk about pressure,” she whispered then tried to focus again. As she re-read the article she thought about all the things that she’d heard, learned or seen while working at the den, especially focusing on anything pertaining to the Gray men and the Kent women. She knew that keeping their business in the gossip column always kept the newspaper relevant and she smiled feeling like she’d gotten some pretty juicy information to get the city’s minds stirring.

Nearby, inside of an apartment in the middle of the city, A’keem lay in bed beside Regina. She was already feeling some type of way since he’d showed up just an hour prior. However, the club had closed at three a.m. What took him two hours to get to her house if both places were located just twenty minutes apart?
A’keem’s dick was hard and feeling like he wanted to relieve some pressure, but Regina had been acting standoffish. They weren’t in a relationship so her feelings for him coming in late weren’t warranted. He didn’t have to come at all. He looked at the time on his Michael Kors watch. It was a little after five in the morning. He and Regina were either going to fuck or he was going to leave. He glanced over at her as she lay beside him acting hard.
“Are you alright now?” he questioned since he’d hushed fifteen minutes ago to let her vent.
“Yes, I’m alright.” She exaggerated, but he didn’t say a word because he knew that she wasn’t being totally honest. “Look,” she started as he lay there in nothing, but a pair of white, Ralph Lauren Boxer shorts. He stared up at the ceiling fan as it turned in hypnotizing, slow circles. With his left hand propped behind his head, he tried his best not to get annoyed as he listened to her. “You know how I feel about you. We’ve been kicking it for the past two months. I know that’s not a long time, but I really, really like you. I thought that we’d been getting closer. Hell, they’ve even mentioned us dating in the gossip column.” He softly grinned as she continued. “Don’t get me wrong, I know what we have. I just want us to grow and continue to get to know each other.”
“I want the same thing,’ he said still looking up at the ceiling fan.
“But,” she said sensing the hesitation in the way his voice sounded.
“I just don’t want to rush things.” He admitted.
“Is that because Jada is back in town?” Regina bluntly questioned.
“Nah, Jada and I are just cool. I’m not into her like the gossip columns have made it seem over the years. Plus, that woman has been gone for five years. You know if I weren’t over her before, I’m surely over her now.” He assured, but inside he was only trying to convince himself.
“So, what took you so long to finally respond to my phone call? I called you about three times after the den closed, but you waited an hour later to call me back.”
“I didn’t wait to call you back. It just happened that I didn’t return the call until later.” A’keem responded. He wasn’t used to going through anything like this with her. For the first time he sensed a little insecurity in the air. With Jada around he could understand why.
“What were you doing?” she questioned with her hand propped under her head, using her elbow pressed on the bed as leverage.
“I was chilling with Seth and Flow.” He answered. “We stopped by Gray’s Cafe since the crowd had gone there and before I knew it the time had passed us by. I’m sorry.” He said staring in her cute face.
Regina just looked at him. She wanted more than anything to believe him, but she didn’t want to get too involved and end up falling prey to a broken heart.
“Well, what’s the problem?” He questioned.
“Nothing, I’m just thinking.”
A’keem turned over on his side to face her. “Do you wanna think about riding this dick?” He teased with a handsome smile spread across his face.
Regina stared at him. Of course she wanted to ride his dick, but she couldn’t just come out and say it. She reached her hand down and slid them inside of his boxer shorts. His nine plus inches of python always made her moist just thinking about it, but the way it felt drove her absolutely crazy. “I think we should just cuddle and when I wake up then I’ll give you an unforgettable ride. I’ll probably even cook you some breakfast.” She said, and with that she turned over so she could go to sleep.
A’keem lay there, not at all feeling anything that she’d just said to him. He was horny and wanted to fuck. Now wasn’t the time for her mind games. He glanced over at her back, and then looked at his Michael Kors watch again while contemplating if he should just put on his clothes and leave.

Meanwhile on the Gray Plantation, sparks were flying and hot chemistry had filled the air. Inside of Jennifer’s master bedroom, she and Marlon were making love like it was their first time. She had just straddled him with his thick manhood inside of her. Moving gently, she enjoyed the sensual feeling of his long dick caressing her walls. She lightly bounced up and down on his hard cock, and then leaned toward him to kiss him in the mouth. They tongue kissed as she rode him at the same time.
“You love me?” Jennifer asked in between breathes.
“Yeah, I love you.” Marlon whispered. He had both hands full of her ass while he rocked her body back and forth on top of him. “Mm,mmm,” he groaned. The sensation of Jennifer’s close walls hugged his dick head tight. The feeling was so warm and good that he fought everything in him to not bust one for the third time. “Damn,” he whispered while taking in a deep long awaited
breath.
“Damn what?” Jennifer asked with a seductive smile. She enjoyed the way she put it on. Her juices overflowing her well as she held on to his chest and continued to bounce her butt up and down on him. “You like this, babe?” She whispered. Nothing turned him on more than hearing her sweet moans in his ear.
Marlon bit down on his bottom lip then let out a much needed breath that he’d been holding forever it seemed. Finally he responded. “You know I love this good pussy, babe. I love the way you ride it. Ride it like it’s yours. Ride it like you want it.” He said in between breathes. “Do you want it?”
“You know I want it,” Jennifer moaned. Her pussy still slurping while gulping down his fat curved dick as it reached deep inside of her womb causing her body to shiver. Her legs trembled, giving Marlon an indication that it was time to switch it up.
“Get on your knees,” he said. Jennifer happily climbed off of Marlon’s erect manhood and assumed the position. While on his knees he inched up closer to her, smacking her lightly on the ass. Just seeing it jiggle did something to spirits. He was eager and anxious as he slid his wet dick head from her pussy lips back up to the crack of her ass then back down to her inviting pussy lips again. Not being able to control the pressure of wanting it so bad, he slid deep inside of her from the back. It was one of the best feelings that he could ever say that he had.
“Mm-mm,” she moaned. Her knees felt like they were about to buckle underneath her. Marlon’s python was curved at the right angles as it slithered its way to her most sensitive spots with desires of wanting nothing more than to please her. He intimately massaged her breast with his lower abdomen pressed against her butt. “Aaaaah,” she softly moaned. “Mmmmm.” Her hands grabbed at the red satin sheets on the bed as she pressed her face in the pillow. The feeling was like no other. Her moans grew louder and louder, causing Marlon to speed up the strokes. He grabbed her ass, thrusting in and out of her wet goods. Her pussy slurped and popped with excitement of the big explosion nearing its breakthrough. Her walls gripped Marlon’s dick tightly as the warm juices gushed out from her insides, wetting him and the bed up.
“Damn,” he groaned. Without being able to hold it in any longer, he then let the semen anxiously rip through his body like pressure bursting from a pipe. “Aaaaaaaaaah,” was all he could let out to let her know that she had some good pussy.
Marlon flopped down on the bed beside Jennifer as he lay on his back. His forehead was dripping sweat. Jennifer looked over at him and giggled. She loved seeing him sweat after a good workout from a very satisfying sex session.
“We haven’t done it like that in a long time,” she said leaning over to land him a soft peck on his lips.
Marlon looked over at the alarm clock on the nightstand by the bed. It was just after seven a.m. which made him chuckle a little. “We’ve been going at it for the past couple of hours. No wonder I’m sweating like I’ve been running a fifty mile marathon.”
Jennifer laughed. It had been quite some time since she and her man had got it in like that. Acting reserved was getting her nowhere. She knew if she wanted to keep Marlon on her arm that she had to put in more work for him. The late hours working with Mr. Gray and the committee had taken a toll on their relationship and making time was now something she wasn’t going to slack on. She believed that with everything in her that she’d given him a reason to remember why he loved her.
“We better get on up and get ready. Mama Gray is serving breakfast this morning.” He reminded her as she headed into the bathroom.
“Oh, I haven’t forgotten.” She said. “Not only that, but the gossip column will be here around 8:30 this morning. Must they have to ring your doorbell every Sunday morning for that mess?” She asked with a sound of frustration in her tone as she turned on the faucet in the sink while wetting a wash cloth with warm water.
“Well, we shouldn’t have to worry. I don’t think that we did anything in a negative light to be in that damn paper this week. If anything, they should be talking about how good of a couple we looked last night at the Den.”
Jennifer entered the room with a warm wash cloth as she stared in his loving eyes. “I can definitely agree with you on that one.” She chuckled. “You know Jada is definitely going to be in the paper this week.”
“I know,” he said. “It won’t be anything new, but I’m sure it’ll be something for her to have to get used to again.”
“So, do you think that A’keem is over her? I saw him trying to hang out with Regina last night, but that doesn’t mean anything.”
“It’s hard to say about my brother, but I believe that he’s moved on.” He said laying there in the buff being pampered by his lady.
Jennifer smiled, but had the same question in mind for him. “And even after seeing her twice on yesterday, are you still over her?” she pondered. “There are no feelings for her, none whatsoever, right?”
Marlon looked over at her, and then playfully rolled his eyes up toward the ceiling. Without warning, he tackled Jennifer on the bed and started kissing on her. “I only have feelings for you.” He said. “I promise.” He hated to make such a promise, but he had to start trying to get over Jada Kent or he could end up a real lonely man fooling around with her unpredictable feelings.

Seth pulled up to the Big House driving his black Range Rover. His thoughts were all over the place. Serenity was a person that he really liked, but she’d showed her cards and he didn’t like the hand that she’d been dealt. Going to see her after they’d left the Huddle House was a big mistake, but the company after her was quite refreshing. As he sat there getting ready to get out of the car, his cell phone rang. He looked down at it and shook his head. It was Serenity. Even though he had already coached himself on not answering it, his finger went against the rules and pressed the answer key.
“Yeah,” he answered like he didn’t really want to be bothered.
“Hey,” she softly spoke. “What are you doing?”
“Just getting home,” he responded while sitting there shaking his head like he was a bit irritated with her. “What’s up?”
“Nothing,” she said. “I just hated the way you left here. We aren’t supposed to be at each other’s throat. I like you.” She admitted, but that didn’t change how Seth felt.
“You didn’t seem to like me much at the Den while Flow was in your face.” He told her.
“It wasn’t what it looked like. He was asking to come over and I wouldn’t play his game. I didn’t want him coming over nor did I want to see him like that. I wanted to see you.”
Seth grinned a little. “You sound rather crazy right now. You told me out of your own mouth that you’d been fucking Flow for a couple of months. Now, you expect me to believe that you don’t want him like that? Is that because he left the Den with Nia Green or naw?”
“That has nothing to do with it. I don’t care who he left with. I wanted to be honest with you. It doesn’t mean that I liked him more; it just meant that I was kicking it with him first. I like you more. I’d rather you hear it from me than someone in the streets or even the gossip column.”
“I’m surprised that the gossip column hadn’t caught that. They catch and broadcast everything else.” He said.
“Yeah it does,” she said thinking about her and her mom making the gossip column quite a few times in the past. “We Foster’s aren’t off limits either.”
“Anytime you live on the Gray Plantation on you will always be watched by someone ready to make a quick penny off of your business.” He said almost forgetting why he was mad with her. They had great conversations and he did like her, but he didn’t like the fact that she had been fucking Flow.
“So, where’d you go when you left here?” She straight out asked.
“Back into the city,” he admitted.
“With a city girl?” she questioned.
“Nope,” he said.
“Okay, well I just wanted to make sure that we were good. Are we?”
“I don’t know. I’ll have to sleep on that one for a minute.” He said, and with that he ended their call. He wasn’t in the mood for her mind games. If she wanted Flow then she could have him. His eyes were now on someone else.

Meanwhile, Mr. Gray was walking out the bathroom getting dressed. He looked over at his wife as she still lay in bed feeling some type of way about his late return in the middle of the night.
“Honey, you’re not still upset are you?” He asked.
“I’m good,” she said. “If you say that you lost your phone then I believe you.”
“All you have to do is call Evan.” He said speaking of his only sibling that was two years older than him. “He can vouch for my whereabouts. We went to a quiet bar on the outskirts of the city to shoot pool and relax. This week alone has been crazy. Not to mention all of the other things that’s going on around us.”
“Are you sure that’s all you’ve been doing? You’re not seeing anyone are you?” She was hoping that this answer would be what she wanted to hear.
