TWISTED FATES BOOK 2: EVEN MORE TWISTED

Page 5

by Jacklyn Scott Rogers

I had just stepped out of my Jacuzzi tub and wrapped a towel around myself when I heard a tap against the glass double doors on my bedroom balcony. Instantly I knew who it was by his delicious scent, Devon. I dashed over to let him in and was immediately swept up into his warm muscular arms bridal style. I peppered kisses over his handsome face, and he let out a small chuckle.

“Wow, baby did you miss me?’

I nodded enthusiastically as I ran my fingers through his soft ebony hair. He looked tired and his five o’clock shadow was in dire need of a trim.

“I missed you too my little firecracker.” He smirked.

Instantly aware that I was in literally nothing but a towel, Devon maneuvered my body so that I was now held up by him with my legs wrapped around his torso and let out a sexy groan.

“You didn’t have to dress up on my account Sammie.” He teased as his eyes perused the white towel sheathing me.

Within seconds I tossed the towel to the side revealing my naked form against him giving Devon a devilish grin.

“Well baby, it looks like the only one who’s overdressed now is you.”

Hunger and lust-filled his eyes as they shifted from ice blue to blackish violet. His lips crashed into mine consuming me with his dominating tongue. I moaned beginning to feel the aching need of my core.

“Fuck me now Devon…” I commanded breathlessly.

“As you command my Queen.” He growled as he slowly carried me to my bed.

The sound of the rain spattering against my bedroom floor woke me. I looked at the clock – 4 am. Dev and I had finally tuckered each other out a couple of hours ago. A silly grin spread across my plump lips, as I remembered our very enjoyable evening exploring each other’s bodies, our limits, just … everything.

Of course, we had forgotten to close the glass double doors that led out to my balcony on the second floor. Now the harsh winds were propelling heavy raindrops onto my coffee-colored Bellawood floors. I carefully removed myself from under Devon’s strong arm, which had been resting on my exposed stomach, and stood up from my bed. I grabbed his black cotton tee shirt, enjoying his scent embracing my senses, and slipped it over my bare form. I loved his scent. I silently crept over to the bathroom and grabbed a couple of towels. A small puddle had formed at the entrance to my room off the balcony and I wanted to get it dried up before it left an unsightly water stain. After I cleaned up the rain’s debris, I stood ready to close the glass double doors. I glanced outside and off amongst the tree-lined edge of my back yard I saw deep cobalt blue eyes staring directly at me menacingly.

  Jareth!

I blinked and just as before, my vision of him was gone. I stepped out onto the veranda, the strong winds blowing directly in my path. I tilted my head attempting to capture his scent, if indeed he had been there, but just as before nothing. No trace of his scent nor any sight of him.

“You’re losing it, girl,” I whispered to myself.

I sighed and shut the two doors sheltering my room from the raging storm that bellowed outside.

Devon stirred in his sleep. He must have sensed that I was no longer next to him and peered his groggy eyes over in my direction.

“Hey sleepyhead, did I wake you?”

“No baby. I just felt you leave and wanted to make sure everything was ok. What are you doing over there?”

I calmed my demeanor not wanting him to think that his girlfriend was now hallucinating her dead vampire ex-boyfriend has appeared a couple of times. No, doing that would only stir the possessive Alpha and I didn’t want to cause him to worry.

“Rain woke me up. I forgot to shut the balcony doors, so I just went to close them. That’s all.”

“Oh, ok. You seemed distraught for a second, everything ok?”

Not trusting my own words, I simply nodded.

“Yep, everything’s just fine baby. I thought I heard something but turns out it was nothing. I swear.”

Devon's lips curled in a predatory smirk as he patted the empty spot next to him.

“Good, now come back to bed my little firecracker. Someone’s awake …. “

  Unknown POV

I made my way down the long corridor of my new home, Dasha’s bunker. I hated this place. Hated the fucking monotonous color scheme that oozed from pretty much every pore of this god-forsaken place, grey. Not just any grey mind you but rather a dull, lifeless, mind-numbing grey. Grey walls, grey halls, grey floors, grey doors, every fucking thing was decked with that tiresome color. But this was my home none the less. Well, mine and who knows how many other vampires and werewolves included. I had lost count after a hundred and seven. Most of the residents were made to share rooms with either two or three roomies per dorm. I was amongst the few lucky ones. I had my own room. As I should, I was one of the first in her Army. Her general. So, despite my disdain for my current living conditions, I tolerated it because of the power associated with my being here aligned with the bitch herself.

I had just returned from another one of her reconnaissance missions over at that mutt’s pack lands. I was sent to find out if there was any new word on what he and his muttly cohorts were up to. I didn’t see the two witches so of course, I was able to sneak about more freely as long as I kept hidden in the shadows.

It was just the dogs and their pack today and no mention of the attacks nor talk of retaliation. I knew they wouldn’t let our attack slide so I could only assume they weren’t ready to strike.

Fine by me. Makes my life easier.

I reached Dasha’s door and without knocking made my way inside.

The sight before me would have probably given me a rock-hard stiffy but I had seen this so many times already that I was numb, even disgusted by it.

Despite the monotone décor that covered the entirety of the bunker, Dasha’s room was quite the opposite. She preferred to adorn her bedroom in deep, rich burgundies and golds throughout. She had a massive four-poster canopy bed in the center against one of the walls and Louis XIV rococo pieces of furniture completing her room’s furnishings.

The sounds of muffled moans were coming from Dasha’s bed.

She was laying on her back completely naked with one of our newest recruits nose deep in her pussy, lapping up her juices like a hungry dog as she moaned.

I cleared my throat making myself known and she opened her eyes peering over at me. The newb stopped chowing down and growled at me.

I scoffed. This piece of shit didn’t know who he was fucking with.

“Dasha.” I gave a slight bow.

“What are you doing here?” She asked with a slight irritation in her voice.

“I was reporting back to you per your request about my visit to the mutt’s pack.”

  “And?”

“So far nothing. Looks like the witches aren’t even there now, just the mongrels.”

  The newb growled.

  Dasha glared at him.

“What the fuck are you growling at? No one told you to stop and it isn’t gonna eat itself out! Get back to what you were doing … NOW!”

I did my best to contain the burst of laughter that was threatening to escape. Fucking idiot didn’t know his place.

“Nothing new. It looks like they’re still working on getting their shit together after the attack.”

“Hmm. OK. Well, that’ll do for now, but I want you to keep an ear out and return in a couple of days. I know they won’t remain quiet for long.”

“Yes, Boss,” I saluted like the good little soldier she thinks I am.

“That’ll be all then.” She waved her hand dismissively towards me.

  “Sounds good.”

Dasha rested her head back onto her pillows and motioned for her little plaything to approach her so that she could taste him. That is one crazy bitch. I thought to myself.

I turned to leave and couldn’t help but ca
tch sight of him. The vampire. He was sitting in the darkest corner of her room in a chair silently reclined with his legs crossed as he sipped on a glass of brandy.

I nodded at him and he merely rolled his eyes at me facetiously. I hated the guy he was such a fucking creeper. I couldn’t really understand why the fuck Dasha kept him around. He was her second in command no less. Fucking ridiculous!

I gave a quick shrug as I headed out the door and back into the hallway. As soon as I exited I was met by a young attractive couple. Probably in their early twenties. Both were clad in nothing but their underwear. I shook my head.

“You must be her dessert. She’s still having dinner. Just make yourselves in and wait silently till she addresses you. Trust me, it’ll be easier that way. Good luck newbs.”

I chuckled and walked away thinking I needed to rub one off myself.

  Chapter 8

  Sammie’s POV

I haven’t seen Dev for the last couple of days. I understood the lapse in our visit was due to his Alpha obligations; even if it doesn’t make it suck any less. There was a surge of rogue attacks on his and some of the neighboring packs. Word got out that there had been a strike and some rogues took it as a sign of weakness. Like the savages, they are they made the mistake of attacking the packs. I hated having to go so many days without seeing him, feeling him inside me, tasting him. Sexting was only getting me so far. I was hopeful that tonight he’d be able to break away, even for a few hours, something.

I sat outside on my veranda, book in hand, and realized I was feeling a bit hungry and antsy, so I decided to make myself a kettle of blood tea. It was my own special concoction of blood, steeped with lavender and rose hips with just a tiny hint of mint. My own homemade tea had the calming effects that I needed right now.

I made my way down to the wine cellar, to open my new blood shipment, but then noticed I had been mistaken and there were still two pouches left in my cooler.

Hmm…totally thought I finished that batch up this morning. Well bonus for me, I guess.

I grabbed the two bags and immediately set off to the kitchen to go prepare my meal.

The rich fragrances danced inside my nostrils making me hungrier. I licked my lips in anticipation.

After I poured the heated contents into a gold-trimmed black porcelain teapot, I took my tea upstairs to enjoy on my balcony in peace.

I spent the next hour drinking my tea while reading when suddenly, I experienced a weighty fatigue wash over me. It felt overwhelming but I tried not to overthink considering all the stress lately, mixed with the calming effects of my tea, may have had a greater effect on me than I would have realized.

I stood up and another sudden wave of dizziness hit me like a Mack truck causing me to brace myself against the chair I had been sitting on earlier. I slowly stumbled to my bed fighting every urge to pass out. My vision was blurred in a foggy haze. Something wasn’t right but I was so out of it that I could only manage to bring my weakened body to my bed before I immediately fell forward as the darkness overcame me.

  *******************************************************

It felt like I was dreaming. My head heavy and reeling almost as if in a fog. The haunting slow-burning melody of In This Moment’s song Sexual Hallucination was playing from some unknown location.

What the fuck kind of dream is this? Did I leave my iPod on?

My head felt like it was underwater. I couldn’t focus. My body felt like a limp noodle. This couldn’t be real.

“Wake up Sammie. WAKE UP!” I pleaded with myself desperately.

Out of the darkness, the sound of light footsteps caught my attention. I turned my head and my field of vision darted over to the now open doors of my balcony. There in the moonlight, watching me with those piercing blue cobalt eyes, a dark figure now stood.

  Jareth…

I scrunched my eyebrows. It couldn’t be. Now I know I must be dreaming.

I studied his svelte form as he approached where I lay on my bed almost as if his feet never touched the ground.

He stopped at the edge of my bed and extended his hand. Warily I took hold of his cool grip as he gently helped me to stand. We stood face to face mere inches apart.

I stared at him in awe, confused, as I studied his striking face. Without even realizing it, I lifted my hand and slowly traced over every part of his chiseled visage allowing his features to blaze once again within my memory. He was just as incredible as I remembered. My beautiful vampire.

“Is this a dream?” I whispered.

  “Perhaps.”

  “I missed you so much.”

  “Did you?”

  “Why are you here?”

“You called for me do you not remember?”

  “No.”

He let out a quiet chuckle.

“No? Then should I leave you back to your dreams where I no longer exist Samantha?”

He turned to leave, and my hand instantly clasped onto his wrist to stop him. I looked at him with a pleading look in my eyes.

  “No … please … don’t leave.”

“And if I stay here with you love?” He arched his perfectly shaped dark brow as he tilted his head to the side almost as if contemplating whether or not he wanted to remain.

His hesitance immediately resulted in an immense feeling of panic which overtook my rationality and seeped into my bones.

I felt sick at the thought of his disappearing from my sight again.

  He wants to leave me.

I knew that everything I was feeling was in the wrong. Some part of me, the part that loved Devon, knew that I shouldn’t be dreaming of Jareth. But the part of me that would always belong to Jareth was selfish. That part of me wanted to enjoy one more moment with him real or not. And that was the part that was winning.

I released my hold of his arm and began to step back, bumping my legs against the soft duvet of my bed. Without warning, his strong arms grabbed me around my waist and his soft lips crashed down onto mine.

For a second I hesitated, but my instincts took over, and I reciprocated with a hunger for him that I had held back for so long. If this was a dream, then I wanted to embrace it just once.

I wrapped my arms securely around his neck and ran my fingers through his soft blond tresses as he continued to ravage my mouth with his tongue. I could feel the sharp tips of his fangs graze my lips. He broke our kiss as his piercing eyes stared into my own before he began softly kissing my jaw, then along my neck, sending shivers down my spine. He began kissing me again as he slowly maneuvered our bodies forward until we were laying on my bed.

I could feel my insides burning, begging for more as I arched my back and let out a throaty moan. He let out a low snarl as his hands began to roam teasingly all along my sweltering frame.

Goddess I wanted him so badly, please don’t judge me. This is only a dream, but it feels so fucking real.

Without even realizing it, we were suddenly free from the confines of our clothes, and I was under him feeling his manhood at my glistening entrance. I shuddered in anticipation as if it were our first time. He swiftly thrust deep inside me causing me to gasp in pleasure. “Fuck … I need you so much Jareth.” I breathily moaned as he continued to plunge deep inside my tightened walls. Wanting more. Begging for him like someone who had been lost in a barren wasteland for centuries.

  He was my oasis.

I flipped our entwined bodies while over kissing him, tasting him as I unremittingly rode his hard member. He leaned his torso forward so that I was soon straddling him, and our tongues were entangled in deep hungry kisses. I felt myself climax twice already and I was once again on the precipice of yet another when I heard him moan my name.

“You feel so fucking amazing Samantha …I can’t hold back my release any longer. “

I held his face in my hands and stared at his lust-filled black orbs. “Don’t ever hold back with me Jareth.”

No sooner had I said that. when I felt Jareth’s sharp fangs pierce my n
eck causing me to do the same; tasting each other as an explosion of his warm exudations discharged deep within my core.

I shrieked in pleasure as I immediately bolted upright in my bed panting, clutching my chest. I scanned my room looking for any signs that what I had experienced wasn’t just a cruel trick of my imagination and there was none. I was alone, in my room with no trace of any other person lingering. I was completely nude, and my entrance was quite saturated. I looked at my sweat-soaked sheets and facepalmed falling back on my pillows sighing. I can’t believe I just had a fucking wet dream about Jareth. Goddess, it felt so real too.

I touched the part of my neck where I had felt his fangs puncture my tender flesh, it tingled but nothing was there.

I needed a very cold shower.

  Chapter 9

  Unknown POV

I returned to the compound feeling pleasantly drained from using so much of my energy this evening. Regrettably, my tranquil deportment was soon thwarted by the twat.

  “You smell like her.”

He was such an imbecile. I rolled my eyes. “Was that meant to be a question?”

“You fucking bloodsucker! You fucked her didn’t you?”

“And if I did?” I asked dismissively looking at my nails.

“You fucking cocksucker! You knew that I wanted her for myself!” He growled in a pitiful attempt to intimidate me.

Without warning, I wrapped my hand around his profuse neck and held him against the cement wall; lifting his burly frame a good foot above the ground as if he weighed nothing.

“SHE will NEVER be yours! She was and ALWAYS will be MINE to do with as I please! She would never bother to waste herself with the pathetic likes of you.”

“Fuck you! She’s not yours either. She’s with the mutt. So, who’s pathe- “

I tightened my grip, my sharp claws penetrating his flesh drawing blood. I extended my sharp fangs snarling. “I highly recommend you think twice before finishing that statement boy.”
