He groaned. “Are you trying to kill me?”

I kept my gaze locked on his cock. His hand glided with practiced ease, and I scrutinized his movements, studying what made him feel good. He released his shaft. “Come here.”

I stepped forward, and he enveloped me in his arms. His cock pressed against my skin, branding me as his. My legs wobbled, and if he hadn’t been holding me, I would have fallen.

Prickling sensations washed over me, rinsing away any remnants of doubt. “I’ve never been with anyone. No one I dated compared to you, so I held back.”

His eyes glittered. “I’m glad you did. After today, the only man you’ll ever be with is me.”

Love soared in my chest, lifting me as high as the clouds. The rain grew heavier, but the canopy above our heads protected us from most of the downpour. The pitter patter of the rain and the muffled sounds of the forest were a perfect backdrop for what was about to happen.

Theo entwined his fingers with mine and guided me down to the blanket. We lay on our sides, our bodies inches apart. He stroked a finger up and down the curve of my waist, electrifying my skin.

“Lie on your back,” he whispered. “I’m going to kiss every inch of you.”

I did as he asked. He moved to my feet and kissed his way up, skimming kisses over every inch of skin. I moaned and squirmed beneath him, needing more from him. When he reached the apex of my thighs, he pushed my legs apart and swiped his tongue over my waiting clit. My hips surged higher, urging him to do more.

  “Spread your legs.”

Without hesitation, I opened my legs, inviting him in.

“Everything about you is perfect, Addy.” Using his fingers, he opened me up. I should have been embarrassed-no one had seen me so intimately before-but I wasn’t.

For what seemed like an eternity, he didn’t move, didn’t kiss me. I lay back and closed my eyes. I wiggled my hips, silently begging him for more. He chuckled. He circled the tip of his tongue around and around my clit, making me gasp, and need, and want.

  “Oh, Theo.”

He became more demanding and my body sang in response. Why had I denied myself this bliss, this pleasure? He slid his finger to my opening and eased it inside. Nothing, not even my fingers, had breached my body. Automatically I tensed, readying myself for the expected pain.

“I promise I won’t hurt you. Relax.” His sincere words eased my anxiety, and I melted onto the blanket. He eased his finger in farther and farther until he was knuckle deep. As he promised, it didn’t hurt. He returned his attention to my clit, sucking and licking my aching bud. The feel of his finger inside me while his mouth pleasured me left me delirious.

Taking his time, he slid his fingers in and out, thrusting into me deeper and deeper. Swirls of desire created a hurricane of yearning. Cool rain continued to fall, splashing off my bare limbs, off Theo’s back.

Pleasure piled on top of pleasure until I couldn’t stand it. “Please, no more. I can’t.” The sensations were overwhelming. Theo slid his finger from me and glanced up, his eyes dark and dangerous. He clamped his hands on the inside of my thighs and spread my legs farther apart. He didn’t stop; if anything, his mouth became more demanding, taking everything he wanted from me. Leaning on my elbows, I raised my body, my head thrown back, my spine arched.

“Oh, God. Please. No more.” Even as the words left my lips, I knew they were a lie. Undulating waves took over, and I was no longer in control. Theo owned me. Blood rushed through my ears, pleasure coiled in my stomach, and arousal clenched my body.

He fixed his lips over my clit and flicked his tongue back and forth. There was nowhere I could go, nothing I could do but give myself to the feelings assaulting my body. My orgasm hit. I screamed and thrashed. Theo held my thighs, not allowing me to escape from his torturous mouth. Wave after wave of pure bliss flowed from that one spot, bathing me in pleasure. Moaning sobs tumbled from my lips. Gasping breath whooshed from my lungs, but he still didn’t stop. Incapable of giving him anymore, I fell onto the blanket in a coma of contentment.

He inched back and brushed light kisses across my inner thighs and against the tip of my still fluttering clit.

“Addy, Addy, Addy,” he whispered against my skin. “What have you done to me?” Once again, he slid a finger inside of me. My inner walls clamped down as he pulled pleasure I didn’t know possible from my depths. Shocks shook me, and I twisted and writhed beneath his touch. I gazed down at him, his glazed eyes rapt. No matter how long I lived or where life took me, I would never love another man. He slid his finger from me and kissed his way up to my lips.

“You’re everything I want and more, beautiful Addy.”

I reached for him, placed my palm on his scalp and drew him into a hungry kiss. His tongue made leisurely strokes around my lips and mouth. I crushed my body against him, his hardness searing my skin.

“Take me. Make me yours.” I nipped his neck, his bottom lip, grazing my teeth along his stubbled jaw. I wrapped my legs around his waist, trapping him against my body. The heavens opened, and rain poured through the canopy, soaking us.

Reaching down, he guided the head of his cock to my entrance. Both of us hissed out a breath. Thunder bellowed from above; lightning illuminated the grove. Theo pushed inside of me; I opened up for him, inviting him in. He pressed deeper. A slight burn shocked me, but it was over as soon as it arrived. Concentration lined his face, and sweat beaded across his forehead.

“You’re fucking killing me.” Still he didn’t fully enter me.

I hooked my legs around him, urging him to go deeper. “I want you,” I gasped. “Take me like you’ve always imagined.”

Theo growled and slid to the hilt. Both of us groaned, the rain and thunder drowning our cries. He moved his hips at a slow, steady pace. But I wanted more. I wanted fast and deep and hard. I wanted him to make the rest of the world melt away. With his back arched, he balanced himself on his hands; I balanced myself on my elbows and licked from his neck to his mouth.

  “Fuck,” he growled.

“Harder, please.” My words came out in sobs as I begged him to take me. “Give me everything you have.”

The pulse in his neck thudded against his skin. Beads of sweat dripped from him. His hips worked harder, faster, thrusting at a ferocious tempo.

Thunder boomed and lightning flashed. His thrusts became demanding, punishing, and I matched him, movement for movement. Every time he moved, his pelvis brushed off my clit. The rise of a second orgasm built within me, possessing me, turning me into a crazed woman.

“I can’t hold on, Addy.” His face twisted with pleasure, he cried out and came deep inside. The heat of his cum sent me over the edge, and the power of my climax claimed me.

  Chapter Five

Summer heat thickened the attic air, warming my lungs when I breathed. All the windows hung open in the hope of alleviating some of the early-evening mugginess.

“Get back down here.” Theo made a grab for my ankle, but I skipped out of his way, my naked breasts jiggling. “I wasn’t done kissing you.”

“I’m hanging hearts.” I strung twine between the low rafters and threaded the ends through crimson construction paper, tying knots to keep the hearts secure.

Theo lay on his back, his hands entwined behind his head, lengthening his sinewy muscles. His naked body was something I would never tire of. “What if someone comes up here and sees them?”

“Everyone knows I sometimes hide up here, they won’t think anything of it.” I dropped down beside him and placed a kiss on his lips. “I love you.”

  “I love you, too.”

I flopped onto my back. “Only two more weeks until I leave this place. Two more weeks until I leave your father’s nonstop judgment.”

“Two more weeks until you leave me, you mean. Sick of me already.”

I angled my head to face him. “As if. I have to be somewhere where I’m not constantly glancing over my shoulders wondering if anyone will notice the way I look at you.
Notice the way we always sneak off together.”

He interwove his fingers through mine. “We should tell them. They’re going to wonder why I’ve requested a transfer to Fort Benning. They’re going to guess it’s because I want to be close to you.”

I balanced myself on my elbow. “Do you really think your father’s going to be happy that his golden boy is sleeping with his step sister? Someone he considers inferior in every way possible?”

“I’ll make him understand. He’ll have to accept it. ” Theo’s excited words rushed out. “We’re both adults. What can he do?”

I sighed and fell onto my back and watched the hearts flutter in the gentle breeze. “He can do a lot. Your dad has a lot of power and a lot of friends. You know he could make our lives hell.”

Theo swept his fingertips over my taut nipples. “He won’t. I know he doesn’t show it, but he loves you.”

I snorted. “He loves you, you mean. He wouldn’t care if I disappeared into the ether.”

“Your mom would never allow him to do anything drastic. You’re her only family and no matter what, she wouldn’t give up on you.”

“My mom will do whatever your father tells her to do.” I gestured my hands around the open space. “Losing all of this would kill her. There’s no way she can go back to poverty. Her hands aren’t made for cleaning dishes and mopping floors.”

“You underestimate her.” He flicked his finger over my nipple. “No more talk about our parents. I have other things I want to talk about… or do.”

“What do you want to talk about?” I glanced down at his cock, hard and waiting.

“Maybe we should talk about the weather.” He leaned over and caught my nipple between his teeth.

I gasped and smiled. “It does seem to be getting hotter in here.”

“Mm mm.” He reached for my other breast and fondled it with a gentle caress. Waves of bliss shuddered through me.

He released my nipple, lay on top of me and grasped my hands. His cock scalded my skin. I tried to shift so his shaft would fall between my legs, but he was too strong and wouldn’t move.

“Want something?” he asked, a smile playing at the corners of his lips.

  “Yeah, you.”

He lifted my hands so they were above my head, stretching both of our bodies. Using the tip of is tongue, he licked around my lips, teasing me but not kissing me. He was an expert at teasing until I thought I would explode.

  “Kiss me,” I whispered.

He brought his lips down to mine and gave me the gentlest kiss filled with more passion than should be possible from such a subtle movement. I leaned up, needing more.

“Ah, ah.” He brushed his lips back and forth over mine. “Nice and slow. We have all the time in the world.”

I moaned. “I can’t help it, you drive me crazy.” I wanted him all the time, every minute of every day, and it took superhuman willpower to keep my hands off him. I would watch him do the most mundane things and find it fascinating. Yesterday, he hung a picture in the cottage and I marveled at the way his back muscles bunched around his spine when he lifted his arms.

He adjusted his body until his legs lay between mine and the length of his cock pressed against my clit. Moving up and down, he rubbed himself against me. Lifting me higher and higher. When I didn’t think I could take anymore, he slid inside my warmth and we began to make love.

“Addison, where are you? Are you up there?” my mom called. The attic door creaked open. Theo jumped up, grabbed his clothes and ran into the dark recesses behind a chest of drawers.

I yanked on my underwear, ran to a trunk and threw open the lid. I grabbed a dress that must have belonged to Charles’ grandmother and shoved it on. My heart thundered and adrenaline tore through my body, shaking me to the core. Rushing to a full-length mirror by the side of the stairs, I examined my reflection. Rows and rows of tiny gold and silver pearls decorated the bodice and swept around the back, which draped to the middle of my spine. The velvet and silk paneled skirt fell to the floor and covered my toes. The dress should be in a museum, not stuffed away in an airless attic.

  Mom thudded up the stairs.

“Mom,” I said, acting surprised to see her. “Thought I’d spend the day trying on old dresses and searching through the attic.” My words tumbled out, tripping over each other. “Do you have any idea how much old stuff’s here? Instead of rifling through antique stores, you should come up here. It’s another world.” My mouth dried and my words stopped.

She raised an eyebrow and stared at me as if I’d escaped a mental institution, or as if she was thinking about committing me to one. “You’ve been here all day? I got worried; you weren’t answering your phone.”

“The battery must have died. As I said, I was preoccupied.”

She strode over to the trunk and peered in. Her nose wrinkled and she sneezed. “You’ve been trying these on?” Her words were doubtful. “God knows how long they’ve been here.”

“I can just see myself at a roaring 20’s party drinking champagne, and smoking cigarettes.”

“Oh for heaven’s sake Addison, they look like they’re ready to fall apart, and God knows what microbes live in them.” She shuddered and glanced around the attic, taking a step toward where Theo hid.

“Mom, you have to look at this.” I grabbed her hand and dragged her over to a veneered art deco dressing table with sliding glass doors. “Isn’t it beautiful? I think it would go well in my room. You know I’ve been thinking, maybe we can go antique hunting. Spend time together before I leave.”

Her eyes lit up. “We could go this weekend. There’s a fair near Pigeon Forge. They’re selling old plantation furniture. I would love to get my hands on some and restore it. Are you sure?”

The last thing I wanted to do was spend my Saturday trawling through a warehouse which sold old furniture, but the hope on her face was too much to dash. “Of course I’m sure. When was the last time we did anything that was just the two of us. We can talk, have lunch and you can explain all about the pieces you’re interested in. Girl time. It might be a while before we get a chance to spend some time together again.”

She pulled me into her arms and squeezed. “You have no idea how much this means to me.” She released me and clapped her hands like an excited first grader. “Dinner is in ten minutes. Eddie and Alex are already here. Charles wants everyone there.” She stepped onto the stairs but stalled. “Have you seen Theo? No one’s been able to find him all day. One of the maids said she saw you two together earlier.”

I shook my head and pressed my lips together. “Nope. Haven’t seen him since breakfast. Maybe he’s hiking. There’s no reception in the woods.”

“I hope he makes it home in time for dinner, you know how Charles gets if things don’t go to plan.”

  “Oh, I know.”

“Pretty hearts, by the way. Makes the place seem less… decrepit.” When the attic door closed, Theo came out from his hiding spot. He yanked on his jeans and t-shirt and laughed nervously. “That was close.”

“Too close.” I rubbed my sweaty hands against my thighs. “I thought you said you wanted them to know.”

“Having her find us naked in the attic is not how I want her to find out. Telling her when we’re fully clothed, and not sweaty and smelling of sex, is a better plan.” He smiled and inclined his head. “Pretty dress.”

“Why, this old thang?” I twirled around and around, enjoying how the skirt swished around my legs. After a few whirls, I stopped spinning and fell about as if I’d drank too many beers. Theo caught me and kissed me hard on the lips.

“Don’t start that again,” I said. “If you do, I won’t be able to stop. Charles doesn’t need any more ammunition.”

“I’m going to be late, too, so he’s going to be mad at both of us.”

“You could burn the house down and he’d still worship the ground you walked on.”

  Chapter Six

A few days after almost getting busted by my mom,
we sat in the middle of the maze eating a picnic I’d prepared. Peanut and butter sandwiches were my specialty.

“Damn, girl, you make the best sandwiches.” Theo took a dramatic bite and smiled as he chewed.

“I can also make buttered pasta, hot dogs, and chicken nuggets.”

“My five-year-old self wants to marry you.”

I laughed and pushed his arm. “You’re not with me for my culinary skills.”

“No, I’m with you for your blowjob skills.”

“Theo!” Heat scorched my skin. When we were lost in the moment, I was never embarrassed, but afterward the things we did together flamed my cheeks.

“What? You do have impeccable skills.”

I pushed him to the ground and giggled. “Stop.”

The wicked look in his eyes told me he had no intention of stopping. “When you’re on top of me and your tits bounce up and down, I’m in heaven.”

I screamed and cupped my hands over my ears. “No more.”

He rushed me, pinned my thighs to the blanket with his knees, and pulled my hands away from my ears. “When I go down on you and lick your sweet, sweet pussy, angels sing.”

I squeezed my eyes shut and rolled my head from side to side. “La la la. I can’t hear you.”

“When I fuck you and you come around my cock, screaming my name. I swear I’m going to die.”

I squirmed and kicked until he fell off me laughing.

“You’re evil. If I didn’t love you so much, I’d hate you.” I snuggled into the crook of his neck and whispered. “If you catch me, I’ll give you one of my amazing blowjobs.”

I jumped up and began running in my bare feet.

  “And if I don’t.”

“Use your imagination,” I called back.

Breathlessly, I ran faster than I ever had. I wanted him to catch me, but I wouldn’t make it easy. I heard him thudding after me. My heart thundered and I kept up my fast pace, fueled by peanut butter and soda.

Every day since our first time by the waterfall had been glorious. He made my life perfect and I couldn’t imagine him never being there. The one obstacle we had to overcome was our parents. I was getting closer and closer to telling them. I couldn’t deny how I felt about Theo. I wanted to shout it from the top of the house so everyone in Tennessee could hear my declaration of love for the bravest, sexiest, most wonderful man alive. But I was terrified by the consequences of that declaration.
