“You did say I could use it on you,” I tease, blood trickling down my neck as I pant breathlessly. He snarls, pulling against the restraint like an animal, all signs of humanity and control fleeing his eyes. Why does the thought excite me so much? I am about to see the real Dray. With a shout, he pulls and the whip uncoils from the table. I freeze as a smile contorts his face, down on all fours he looks like a fucking animal. So why is my blood pumping and heart racing? He leaps at me and I scramble backwards to try and avoid him, more for the sake of it rather than being scared. I manage to nearly get away, but he grabs a hold of my feet and yanks. My shirt rides up as the carpet rubs against my back, burning as I am dragged under him.
Grinning down at me, I take a cheap shot while he is distracted. Wrapping my legs around his waist I see his eyes flare, and when I wrap my arms around his neck, I wink. He goes to kiss me again, but I quickly push up and twist until he is on the bottom. He doesn't waste any time but reaches up and cuts through my top. Glaring down at him, I pull off the ruined shirt.
“That’s better,” he coos, his cold hands reaching up and covering my breasts. I see his blade shine in the light as he tries to cut away my bra and I twist away, but not fast enough. I watch, my anger growing, as it falls down my shoulders and joins my ruined shirt on the floor. He lays back with his blade in his hand looking fucking happy with himself.
I decide to give him a taste of his own medicine, crawling back onto him I slam our lips together, one hand reaching for the blade at my waist while I distract him. I can’t help but grin against his lips as I cut through his pants. I have to lean back to make sure I don’t cut him as I saw through the top bits. He looks down and then back to me. “You could have just asked,” he says casually.
Breathing hard we watch each other. Fuck it. I throw the knife and I hear it imbed in the wall as we meet each other in the middle. He sweeps in, claiming my mouth as I fumble with his trousers. He lifts his hips, and I have to lift up so he can shimmy them down. I don’t bother trying to take the blade off him, I doubt he would let me have the time.
His hands drop to my hips and he pulls away slightly. “Off or I will cut them,” he warns, tugging on my trousers.
Narrowing my eyes, I quickly stand and shuck them off, including my panties. I yelp as he drags me back down and rolls me under him. It’s not soft or sweet and he doesn’t ask me if I am sure like my other guys, he knows if I wasn’t, I would just get rid of him myself. I can see the knowledge in his eyes as his hand drops between my legs and buries in my waiting wet pussy. I groan as his other hand comes up and tweaks my nipple. The blood is still running freely from my neck and it drips onto my breast. I watch as he rubs his fingers in it then rubs it around my nipple, it’s crude, filthy, and I fucking love it.
His fingers ram into me as his thumb rubs my clit, I lift my hips, so fucking needy for everything he gives me.
“I knew you would be mine, but I never thought I would be yours,” he murmurs as he drops his mouth to my skin, leaving open-mouthed kisses until he sucks my nipple, blood and all.
Arching my back, I start to ride his fingers, and when he rubs inside of me, I almost scream. He is as good with his hands as he is with his blades, but I need more. I need Dray, I almost feel like he is holding back now, and I won’t have that. Reluctantly, I pull away and while he sits back confused, I pounce on him. I see that same bloodlust enter his eyes as I grab his blade from across his chest. I can see he is about to fight me again, so I place it against his neck in warning. Sitting up, I line up his cock and lower myself onto him making us both groan, especially when something cold nudges my bundle of nerves inside. My eyes widen, and he grins at me, that crazy light dancing in his eyes.
“Like that, soulmate? I pierced my cock for you, I noticed your obsession with steel.” He rams up as the steel he was just talking about rubs me inside, making me moan even as I shake my head.
“You pierced your cock because I like knives?” I ask slowly, stopping his movements by bracing my legs on the floor.
He looks at me as if that is obvious and I just gape at him. I shouldn’t be surprised but, sands below, that is a new level of crazy even for Dray.
“Did it hurt?” I ask curiously, tilting my head to the side.
He shrugs, “I liked it.”
Of fucking course he did, I bet the fucking dirty bastard got off on it. He grins as if he can hear my thoughts. “Yes, I did touch myself after. I closed my eyes and remembered that time I caught you here with that boy of yours.” He twists his hips as he talks, rubbing inside, making me squirm.
“I want to see.” I gasp, trying to control my breathing. I sit back, and he slides out of me, leaving an empty needy feeling, but it is all worth it when I spot the steel bar piercing through the head of his cock. Bloody crazy bastard even had it shaped like a knife.
“I would do a lot worse for you,” he admits with no shame before grabbing my hips and helping me slip back over him. He enters me again. I realise during that whole conversation I held the blade to this throat and he didn’t even flinch. It sort of feels like a layer of protection, that I need it there to control his beast.
I brace one hand on his chest, the other with the knife against his throat, as I slowly start to move. I ride him with my knife pressed against his vulnerable neck, almost drawing blood. He’s like a wild animal beneath me, his eyes filled with predatory hunger and the blade only seems to spur him on as he moves against it. I fuck him like that, me holding him, taming him with my knife. He moves his head forward and I snatch the knife away, so I don’t cut him, it’s all the opening he needs because he flips me before picking me up and throwing me, my back landing hard against the table as he towers over me. He shows me the blade in his hand before he runs it down my body. It reminds me of my first time with Jax, but where that was duelling for control, his is pure animal lust. Our blood lust and desire for each other mingling and bringing out our primal side. Seeing him standing naked over me with cuts along him and blood welling at his neck, my knife in his hand and an insane smile on his face, has me moaning and almost coming then and there. The cold blade hovers over my pussy before he uses the non-serrated side and gently rubs it on me. I cry out and try not to move so he doesn’t cut me, sex with Dray is like the man himself––dangerous, but oh so good.
My eyes widen and my chest heaves as he pulls the knife away, and keeping eye contact with me, he brings it up to his mouth. His tongue darts out from his swollen lips and he drags it along the flat side of the blade, licking the blood and sex away.
“Fuck, little warrior, you taste like the best fight you can imagine.”
Dropping the knife on the table he buries his face in my pussy, his tongue spearing through my folds as his fingers slam into me again. He has me screaming in no time, my pussy clenching around his fingers. Pulling away, he steps back and watches me as he sucks all the juices from them, making me groan.
“Dray…” I moan, and he grins.
“Say it,” he demands, dropping his hands to my thighs.
“Say what?” I sulk, trying to pull him to me.
“Say you are mine,” he demands, his cool eyes watching me, waiting for an answer.
“No.” I swallow hard but grin anyway, if he wants me to say it, he will have a fight on his hands.
Wrapping his hands around my throat he squeezes. “Say it,” he growls.
I keep that same sarcastic smile on my face as he lines himself up and slams into me. My eyes nearly roll back in my head, but he squeezes and shakes me until I look at him.
“Say it,” he grits out.
“No,” I gasp.
He lets go of my neck and slams into me again, smashing our hips together as he buries in as far as he can go.
“Make me,” I taunt.
“Oh, I will soulmate,” he growls, pulling out before slamming back into me again. Wrapping my legs around him, I hold on as he fucks me hard and fast, brutal and unyielding like the man himself.
T
he table creaks under our weight as he fucks me into oblivion, our hips slamming together each time. His hands are everywhere, touching, caressing, nipping. It’s too much and I explode with a yell. He carries on smashing into me until I lean up and kiss his lips, he shudders and pulls his mouth away to let out a long moan as he comes.
Panting, we stare at each other. We crossed a line, one we can’t come back from. I have always tried to keep him at arm’s length because I know he has the power to destroy me, but I can see in his eyes that I also have the power to destroy him. It works both ways, you can only cut as deep as you cut yourself.
“I am yours,” I whisper, and I watch his eyes flare in shock. “But you are also mine,” I finish, feeling territorial. He grins at me, blood smeared around his face and on his chest. Looking down I see I am also covered in blood, but at least we didn’t kill each other. Peering over his shoulder I see the room didn’t fare so well though, broken bits of chair scatter the floor, as does blood and clothing. A knife is embedded in the wall and I hate to think about what the table looks like.
The door smashes open and we both snap our heads around, already moving to reach for weapons when we spot one panicked, out of breath Seeker. He pales when he spots us still together.
“Sorry!” the man yells, trying to back away as a naked Dray stalks towards him. I watch the ungodly fear bloom in the man’s eyes as he tries to stutter out a message, his eyes pointedly staying away from me.
“There’s been an attack, people are dead,” he stammers out. Dray falters before carrying on stalking him.
“Where?”
“The Seekers… your land,” he gasps as his back meets the wall, cowering before him. I watch as Dray freezes, his body deathly still.
“Who?” he demands.
The man whimpers as Dray unleashes himself.
“Who dares attack me?!” he screams.
The man lets out a cry and I watch as he pisses himself.
“Be–be–berserker!” he manages to get out. I freeze before jumping up and pulling on my trousers and weapons. Swearing at my lack of shirt I grab the two ripped halves of mine and tie it together to at least cover myself. When I am done, I still see Dray rooted in the same spot, his back heaving from his breathing, his hands clenching and unclenching. Careful not to startle him, I go to his side. I don’t even spare the other man a look as I dismiss him.
“Go, tell Major and all the leaders.”
The last words are not even out of my mouth before he is sprinting from the room like the beasts of hell are on his tail. I walk around to face Dray. His face is closed down and cold.
“Dray?” I say softly. I see his jaw clench, but he doesn’t answer me. Fuck this, we don’t have time.
I slap him square across the face, his head swings to me with a snarl, ready to kill, but I don’t back down. He slams me back into the wall and I keep my calm mask on, arching my eyebrow at him as he growls in my face.
“We need to warn the others, and then we need to go to Seeker land...your land.” I leave no room for questioning and he nods, some of his sanity returning to his eyes. If I didn’t know he loved his people before, I do now.
“Then we kill them all,” he pushes out through gritted teeth.
I nod. “Then we kill them all,” I repeat certain, now more than ever, that death is the only way. He growls out something else before smashing our lips together again, biting my lip hard and leaving me panting and needy again. Fuck, what have I unleashed?
War Party
Everything moves fast after that. Dray finds trousers from somewhere, and I follow him out of the building to see the Seekers he has brought with him amassing on the steps, the stink of desperation, anger and need for blood humming through their group.
Major jogs around the corner with my men at his back, he takes in the awaiting Seekers before joining us on the steps.
“You okay, kid?” he asks, thumbing the blood at my neck.
I nod and turn away, not giving my back to the eyes staring at me. Nan saunters around the corner with a rumpled looking Reeves behind her.
When everyone is present, I step up next to Dray. He gives me a searching look before turning to his people. Holding his hand up he settles them down, they don’t even move, their eyes are locked on their leader, waiting for orders. Looking around at the men present, I know some of them will have family back home, some will be wondering what is left to go back to. Yet they wait, trusting Dray with their lives.
“There was an attack. I do not know how bad, I do not know how many are dead. What I do know is every single person who laid a hand on a Seeker will die before the week is through.” The crowd cheers and stomps their feet as he carries on. “We will have their blood after we bury our dead.” Screams come from the crowd as Dray quiets again.
Blowing out a breath, I address his men. “The Summit is postponed. We will journey to Seeker land, we will help you clear your lands and mourn your people. Then we kill them all. Ivar must die!” I finish, my last words for the other leader’s present. Cheers start up as I feel Dray look at me.
“You coming with me, soulmate?” he asks.
“We stick together, we will need each other’s strength before this war is through,” I reply, looking around at the warriors, their faces etched with anger and ready for war. I have a feeling this is only just the beginning.
We pack up quickly, everyone’s thoughts on what we might find when we reach Seeker territory. I have never been before, but I know it will be even more dangerous now.
“You know he will have left warriors behind, little queen. Spies and killers,” Vasilisy inserts as he stares at two weapons before adding both to his rapidly filling bag.
“I know.” I shove another knife in my bag as I look around for anything I have missed.
“They will all be looking for you,” he says.
Sighing, I stare down at my bag. “I know, let them come. I am tired of hiding.” Turning around I run into a hard chest. Drax glances down at me, a fierce look in his eyes.
“And if she can’t kill them, we will,” he tells Vasilisy without looking at him. I hear movement and a bag being thrown out of the door.
“I will give you some time alone, eh.” I hear the Berserker say before he shuts the door behind him.
Sighing again, I lean my face into Drax’s awaiting chest. I know all my men know what happened between me and Dray, yet they don’t seem bothered. Not that it’s important right now, with a Berserker threat looming.
“Am I right to go?” I ask, unsure for once.
“Yes. Dray is one of yours, he needs you. His people need you, and you will show them the wrath of the Champion and prove the Berserker threat is real, so when you get back, the other leaders will agree.” I blink at his logic, a surprised laugh escaping me.
“I didn’t even think of that,” I add.
“I know, you were too busy trying to think of everything else.” He leans forward and drops a gentle kiss on my lips. It feels like forever since I got some time with my men, just running from one thing to another. “I see the shadows in your eyes baby, everything else can wait.”
“He’s right,” Thorn says, coming up behind me and wrapping his arms around me. Jax and Maxen are readying the bikes, so I let my two other men hold me for a moment.
“You’re not mad?” I ask eventually, it’s weak and needy, but fuck it, I would rather know.
“No,” Drax says with a smile.
“Why?” I ask generally curious.
“We told you before, he was already one of your men. You just didn’t know it. Plus, that bastard is crazy, he will protect you as fiercely as we will, and I reckon not even Ivar will want to tangle with an enraged Seeker,” Thorn answers.
A smile forms on my lips at that, he is right in a way. Ivar always had respect for the Seekers and tried to stay out of trouble with them, frowning I wonder why he attacked them out of all the clans. Maybe because they are closer, or maybe because they are the strongest?
No, it doesn’t feel right, it feels personal, like he is trying to hit me, weaken me...but the only way he would know to hit the Seekers to do that was if we had a traitor.
“I can hear the wheels in your head turning, what is it?” Thorn asks, his arms tightening.
It can’t be, who would betray me, us? Who would be stupid enough to go against the Seekers? The obvious choice would be Vasilisy, but I saw the shock in his eyes at the attack’s announcement and I can feel the hate pouring off him when it comes to Ivar. No, I trust him, maybe a stupid move, but my gut is telling me it’s true.
There were only a few other people who knew about The Summit, namely the people here… and my father.
My face contorts in anger, surely, he wouldn’t? But even as I think that, I know that if it came to saving his people or giving away something he deems insignificant, like a piece of information, he would do it in a heartbeat. But he should know how damning words can be and wouldn’t he want to try and protect me? Didn’t he say he wishes he could protect me or was that all pretty lies?
I can’t be sure, but all I know is that I need to watch my back and trust no one but my men.
“I think we have a traitor,” I say as my brain whirs and a plan forms.
I feel them stiffen. “You think one of us?” they growl in unison.
Blinking stupidly, I bring myself back to the here and now, and rerun my words through my head, wincing when I realise how bad they sounded. “No, never. But someone tipped off Ivar, we can’t be sure who. I want you both to watch everyone like hawks. Trust no one but each other...I couldn’t bear to lose you,” I finish softly.
“You never will,” Thorn declares, his promise rattling through the air, making my chest tight. I want to warn him not to promise things he can’t keep, after all, war means death.
