Kiss Me Here (Working Men Love #2)

by Hayden Wolfe

Ronnie worried her bottom lip. “She wants to meet you.”

Iona had intended to visit the rest of Wyn’s family later in the week. It would’ve given her the chance to plan some safe topics, ones that didn’t involve Wyn. “I thought we were going there for dinner on Friday.”

“She couldn’t wait, I guess.” Ronnie turned imploring eyes on her. “You don’t mind cutting our evening short, do you?”

Iona glanced at Wyn. He studied Ronnie with narrowed eyes. Did he suspect the same thing she did? His mother had found out about them.

“Umm…I guess not.” What else was she supposed to say?

“Great.” Ronnie grabbed her hand and tugged. “Let’s go, then. You won’t be sorry. Nothing is better than Eliza Sander’s chocolate cheesecake.”

Iona wasn’t so sure. She could think of a lot of things better than sweets. They all involved a tall, built mechanic who was quickly becoming important to her. She cut a quick look over her shoulder. Wyn met her gaze. The same stark hunger he’d had in his eyes since their encounter at the lake simmered in his brown depths. The look promised passion and ecstasy beyond her wildest dreams.

Oh yes, Wyn would meet her cravings much better than a sinful dessert she’d have to work off tomorrow. Then again, he might be able to help her burn the extra calories she consumed.

“Do you think she’ll let me have two pieces?”

“I don’t see why not. I’m having double. I am eating for two.”

“Perfect.” Iona grinned. Indulging herself over the next month sounded wonderful.

  Chapter 9

Wyn couldn’t stop staring at Iona. Everything about her fascinated him, but the needs she stirred weren’t ones he could embrace while having dessert at his parents’ house.

Iona sat on the couch between Ronnie and his mom. They’d long since finished their cheesecake and had fallen into a discussion of wedding favors. He’d retreated to the other end of the room before he got sucked into the conversation he couldn’t care less about.

He couldn’t bring himself to leave, though. His dad and brothers had escaped to the deck. Wyn opted to lean against the fireplace and watch the way Iona’s eyes lit up when she laughed. She chuckled at something Ronnie said. He didn’t catch what, but the sound of her amusement swept through him, igniting his desire. All he wanted was to get her alone. Kiss her. Love her. Just freaking hold her. No such luck. His mama hadn’t let her out of her sight.

“You know she’s doing this on purpose.”

Wyn tensed at the sound of Kyle’s voice. He hadn’t realized his brother stood next to him. Wyn’s focus had centered on Iona. He forced his gaze from her and met Kyle’s. “You told Mom, didn’t you?”

“Nope, but anyone at your house today would’ve come to the same conclusion Jack had about the two of you.”

“She doesn’t want anyone to know about us yet.”

“Us, huh?” Kyle snorted. “Damn, you work fast.”

  Wyn shrugged. “She’s different.”

“No shit. I heard about your little show of jealousy. Levi thought he’d have to save Eric from you.”

“If Eric hadn’t backed away from my girl, he would’ve needed someone to save his sorry ass.”

Kyle raised a brow. “Your girl?”

Wyn stole another glance at Iona, then strode for the kitchen. Kyle followed—not surprising. He wanted details. Wyn needed advice. He knew jack shit about relationships.

He grabbed the remaining cheesecake from the fridge, found a fork, and then straddled a chair. “I like her. A lot. But she’s made it clear she doesn’t want to get involved with anyone.”

Kyle hopped onto a kitchen stool and propped his elbows on the counter behind him. A deep vee formed between his brows. “She only wants sex, then?”

  “Yep. Well, she did yesterday.”

  “Today she wants more?”

Wyn took a bite and swallowed. “Think so, but she still says she doesn’t want anyone to know. Not quite sure what to do about it other than play her game and sneak around.”

  “Might be fun.”

The memory of Iona biting him as she came apart around his fingers returned. Lust surged. He shifted in his seat. “Sure, but she’s only here a month. That’s not a long time to start a relationship.”

Kyle grabbed his chest in a pathetic sign of mock surprise. A grin spread over his face. “Jesus, I never thought I’d hear that word come out of your mouth.”

“Never thought I’d say it, but I can’t stop thinking about Iona. I want to carry her home and keep her there.”

Kyle stared at him for a long moment, then shook his head. “You know what this means. You might be falling in love.”

Wyn cringed. The word implied a hell of a lot more than he could deal with at the moment. He simply wanted to wake up and know Iona’s brown eyes would greet him. “Don’t go jumping to conclusions, but I do want her around for more than a month.”

“Which is why Mom invited us here.”

“And how is stopping me from getting her alone going to help?”

“Ronnie talked to Mom about it, and they came up with a plan to get Iona so involved with life in Sander’s Valley, she’ll find it hard to leave.”

Guess he’d have to thank them. Wyn’s gaze drifted to the door blocking him from Iona. “I’m not worthy of her, you know.”

“And I’m not worthy of Ronnie, but I’m what she needs.”

“I don’t know Iona well enough to know what kind of man she wants or needs.”

Kyle shrugged. “Then be yourself. If it’s meant to be, it’ll work out.”

Wyn grunted. Considering he had a way of pissing off women, he didn’t know how well that plan would work. Kyle must’ve taken Wyn’s grumble as an agreement. Kyle dipped his head and slipped out onto the deck.

Wyn made his way back to Iona. The door leading to the family room opened before he reached it. She stepped through. Her gaze zeroed in on him. The door banged shut behind her. He went to her, pulled her into his arms, and captured her mouth with his, kissing her hard.

She relaxed in his embrace, letting him support her weight, and opened herself to him. He took her invitation. Strokes of his tongue with hers tore soft whimpers from her. He swallowed the sounds and delved deeper, craving more of her. She met him thrust for thrust.

Her passion undid him. He shoved up her shirt, needing to touch her, possess her, own her. She arched into him, and he ran his hands over her back. Soft, silky skin tempted him to take more. He shouldn’t. He knew that. Damn if it would stop him.

He popped the hook on her bra and slid his hand around her chest to capture a tempting breast. Her nipple hardened under his palm, and she moaned into his mouth. He tweaked the erect bud. More of her throaty sounds encouraged him.

He backed her into the wall next to the door and pushed a knee between her legs. She clamped down around his thigh and squirmed over him. So damn good. He couldn’t get enough. Wyn rubbed her jeans-covered center, needing her as crazed as him. She gave him the response he sought with a primitive sound that spoke of her increasing desire. A rough tug on the back of his head, and she pulled him closer, kissed him harder, and made him wild.

Iona matched him better than any woman ever had. He had to get her alone, somewhere his family wouldn’t stumble upon them. A few minutes, that was all. He’d shove her shirt out of the way and worship her breasts. Maybe push her up against the nearest hard object and fuck her hard. Or tongue her clit until she creamed all over his face. Anything, as long as she came for him. He tore his mouth from hers and snagged her hand.

He glanced between the door to the deck and the one for the basement. The barn would give them more privacy, but the basement was closer.

She pressed her body flush to his and slid her hands from his waist to his ass. Breath caught, he stilled and waited to see what she’d do. Iona didn’t disappoint him. She caressed his ass cheeks, then squeezed them. His cock jerked. She snuggled closer, and a low noi
se crawled up her throat, like a contented purr.

  Best fucking sound ever.

Wyn twisted her hair around his palm and tugged. She offered him another throaty sound, but it was the look of desire slackening her features that made his choice.

He wanted her. Now. He yanked the stairwell door open.

She jerked her hand from his. “Where are we going?”

“Basement. Need you.” He reached for her.

She backed up. “We can’t. Your mom—”

He drew her against him. “You feel that? How hard I am?”

A soft sigh escaped her lips, his only answer.

He brushed his fingertip across them. “I ache.”

She turned her head and sucked one of his fingers into her mouth. The tug connected with his balls. He wrenched his finger free and cupped her face between his hands.

“I’m going to take you downstairs and fuck you. Hard and fast.” Her eyes widened. He loved the shock displayed in them. He brushed his lips over hers. “Then tonight, you’re coming home with me, and I’m going to love you real slow, until you beg me to fill you up.”

She shook her head. “No sleepovers. No commitments. I told you that. Besides, your mom is picking me up early. We’re going shopping.”

Her words danced through his head. Disappointment hit first, then excitement flared. “You didn’t say no to now.”

She swallowed hard. “I don’t know. I want you, but…”

  “But what?”

She glanced in the direction of the living room. “What if somebody walks in on us? Your family will assume we’re in a relationship.”

“Nobody will catch us.” With a single finger, he turned her face toward him. “Do you trust me?”

  Her cautious nod answered him.

“Good.” That was all he needed to know. He lifted her, a hand on her bottom.

  “Wyn—”

He nipped her lip. “Quiet. We only have a few minutes.” He pulled the basement door shut behind them and turned the lock. “And I’m not wasting them talking.”

“You’re serious.” Her whisper matched her widened eyes.

He hurried down the stairs and dropped her bottom on the back of the sofa. “Yeah. I don’t think I’ll survive a whole day without you.”

She clutched at his shirt. “Oh.”

One word. Damn he loved how she reacted to him. He popped the button on her shorts and tugged the zipper. She lifted her bottom. No hesitation. No denial. He held her acceptance close.

“Next time, I’ll worship you. Head to toe. Eat you out. Lick your breasts. Give you everything.” Hand fisted around her waistband, he glanced at her. “You want that?”

She nodded. “Yes. I want that.”

“Good, but tonight I need you. Just like this.”

He worked her snug shorts down. Her panties joined the denim pooled at her ankles. She lifted one foot from the confines of her discarded clothes and spread her legs. Her cleft glistened. He groaned at the sight, wanted to drape her legs over his shoulders, and hated knowing he couldn’t worship her properly. The need to touch her and feel how much she wanted him couldn’t be denied, however.

He dragged a finger through her wet folds. Her eyelids fluttered on a low gasp. He pulled his hand back before he tore any louder cries from her. She’d proven she couldn’t keep quiet. He loved her inability to stifle her pleasured sounds around him, but he couldn’t have her alerting everyone to what they were doing. He needed to come. His dick hurt, had all damn day. Her teasing him at the bar had made it worse.

Hands on her hips, he spun her and clamped a hand over her mouth to muffle her gasp. Her warm air bathed his palm. He skimmed his hand to cup her cheek and rubbed his thumb over the corner of her parted lips. She flicked her tongue out and licked the tip of his finger. The wet swipe pushed his lust higher.

“Quiet.” He used his other hand to free his cock. The rigid length slipped between her thighs. She tightened her legs, cradling his erection against her hot cleft. His eyes rolled back in his head. So damn good. Her touch, the way she welcomed him, her wildness. “Or we will get caught.”

“No, that wouldn’t be good at all.” Her eyes took on a wicked glint. “Maybe we should stop.”

He froze. “You don’t really mean that, do you?”

She laughed softly. “No. I want you.”

“And I want you. I crave you. Can’t think of anything else.” He slid his dick along her drenched folds. The head of his cock slipped into her opening. He froze. The urge to thrust deep, joining them completely, gripped him. Instead, he eased back with a hand on her waist. “I’m going to come inside you. Are you ready for me that way?”

  She nodded. “Yes, please.”

A tilt of his hips, and he drove into her. She inhaled roughly while his air escaped on a long exhale through clenched teeth. She was wet enough for him but tight. Fucking tight. Better than anything he’d ever felt. He dropped his head to her shoulder.

“Feels good, love.” He rolled his hips, working more of his length inside her. Arousal bathed his dick. He pushed deeper, and his groin met her bottom.

  “Iona.”

A question, a plea, a reminder of who made him crazed? He wasn’t sure what he meant by saying her name. He didn’t get the chance to figure it out. Iona rocked over him. He followed her lead but kept the pace agonizingly slow. He had to. Already small waves rippled over his dick, and with each full stroke, her moans deepened. Damn, he wanted a quick fuck, but with the way her sex quivered, she’d milk him dry before he even had the chance to enjoy her tight body.

He dragged his dick back, her inner muscles strangling him, and drove forward. He repeated the hard stroke before her orgasm took hold. He’d make her ride the edge as long as he could. She tipped her head, her hair tickling his arms, and lifted her hips. Their bodies smacked with each of his thrusts.

“Like that.” He nipped her neck. “Fuck me back. Give me everything you have.”

She ground herself over his cock. He pressed his free hand to her belly and helped her. The screwing motion of her hips added to his rolling thrusts. She held his dick in a tight grip, a perfect glove. He relished the hot slide of her core over his throbbing length. Each stroke came quicker than the last. He had to move faster, harder, rougher.

Tingles spread—down his spine, across his chest, up his arm. Everywhere they touched, he burned. His dick, though, ached with the need to explode. It swelled more, and his balls drew up.

It was too much. He needed to come but wouldn’t orgasm without Iona. He pressed his thumb to her clit. One touch clenched her muscles. A flick arched her back. Fuck yes. He rubbed the hard bud. Her release hit. Squeezing waves danced over his dick. He grunted and let go. Each jerk of his cock spilled his seed inside her, and Iona kept coming, pulling him deeper, massaging him, milking him, making him…hers. Right in that moment, he knew she owned him. No other woman would ever replace her.

Finally, the waves eased to ripples. Their breathing returned to normal. He would’ve welcomed sleep. It couldn’t happen. They had to get back upstairs before anyone missed them. Still, he couldn’t pull away quite yet. He turned her head for his kiss. She opened for him on a sigh. He slipped his tongue between her parted lips and kissed her, slowly and deeply.

  “Thank you, love.”

She chuckled. The husky sound made his cock twitch. “You’re welcome.”

He pressed his lips to her temple. “I’ll make up for this. Next time, I’ll make it last.”

“Mmm…that sounds wonderful, but so was this. It was naughty and wild. I can’t say I’ve ever sneaked away for sex before.”

Hell, he liked the sound of that.

“Then we’ll have to do it again.” A hand at the base of her spine, he dragged his dick free of her welcoming body and dropped his forehead to her back. The loss of her wet heat left him feeling hollow. He wanted to stay inside her all night. Couldn’t happen. “We’ve got to hurry. Okay?”

  She nodded.

He pointed to the closed door on the other side of the bar. “There’s the bathroom. Get dressed, and we’ll sneak out onto the lower patio.”

“Okay.” She snatched her clothes and hurried to the half bath.

He cleaned up, then unlocked the basement door. She joined him at the bar a few moments later. A healthy flush gave her skin a delicious glow. He ran his fingertips over her cheek. Her eyelashes fluttered closed. She leaned into him, and his heart raced. The tightness in his chest grew. Emotions, confusing ones—those were what tangled him up inside. He pushed them away for the moment. He didn’t have time to figure them all out.

“Come on.” He led her to the patio. Blinds blocked the view to outside. He breathed a sigh. He’d been so focused on getting inside Iona that he hadn’t even checked to make sure they had complete privacy.

Wyn opened the door. Sounds of laughter carried over the quiet of the night. He followed them. Jack and Levi leaned against the side of the house, beers in hand.

Jack turned at their approach. “There you are. Ronnie thought you two already left.”

“Nope. Just went for a walk.” Wyn tugged Iona closer. “Are they still here?”

Jack nodded. A knowing smile spread over his face. “I told them I saw you down by the barn. Figured you took Iona out to see the puppies.”

Wyn chuckled, glad his older brother had covered for him. Wyn had done so enough times for him. “Yep. Boxer puppies. Too bad they were sleeping. We’ll have to visit them tomorrow.”

She shook her head. A smile lit up her face. “A shame too. I was looking forward to it. I’ve never been around puppies.” Her grin faltered. “Or any animals, for that matter.”

“No pets as a kid?” He couldn’t imagine growing up without one. The unconditional love an animal offered was priceless.

“I wasn’t allowed any.” She dropped her gaze. “Too dirty, and they smell.”

He tipped up her chin. “And now?”

She shrugged. “Maybe, but honestly, I know nothing about pets. I wouldn’t know what kind to get or how to take care of one. It’d be a disaster.”
