  “What will ye decide?”

  “Time will tell,” he answered.

  Izzy breathed in the musky scent of his sweat. She licked her lips, enjoying the delicious taste of him. This was heaven, and she was determined to show him the best a woman of the Highlands can do.

  “Bull, I swear I will do my best to make ye never want to leave.”

  I had not planned to start a new series. I did not intend to use characters from my last series, Highland Games Through Time. I wanted to write short, sexy novellas.

  Plans changed. The characters screamed for a full-length book! I listened, and the Kilted Athletes Through Time series was born. I had chosen a title and started working on a cover long before I even began to write the first chapter, so I feel fate intervened, in a good way!

  I would like to thank my characters for disturbing my sleep, and for bringing along new characters: people to love, or hate. I also want to thank my editors, R-G, Audrey Beegle, and Kathy Rothenberger. I appreciate friends such as Pamela Means, and Valrie Horton, as well as fellow writers who assisted with research. I want to thank kilt-wearing athletes and performers at various Highland Games. Every time I visit I get goose bumps!

  ABOUT THE AUTHOR

  Nancy Lee Badger loves chocolate-chip shortbread, wool plaids wrapped around the trim waist of a Scottish Highlander, the clang of broadswords, and the sound of bagpipes in the air. After growing up in Huntington, New York, and raising two handsome sons in New Hampshire, Nancy moved to North Carolina where she writes full-time.
