Breakaways: Reverse Harem Romance (The Challenge Book 5)

“Don’t you worry about that,” Mason said. “We have ways of heating you up.”
She raised her eyebrows at him. He’d stripped off his top, something he didn’t do often if the sun was out because of his pale skin. But when he did she enjoyed admiring his broad shoulders, perfect abs, and his dense tattoo.
She was one lucky woman to have so many seriously sexy husbands.
One game didn’t seem to be enough, and after several, with various winners, it was announced the last game would decide.
Olivia had been half dosing, but her interest was captured and she sat on the edge of the sofa to watch.
“Ha, read it and weep.” Mason slammed his cards down. “No sofa for me tonight.”
Chapter Nineteen
“Damn it.” Harry frowned. “How’d you do that, Mason?”
“Luck of the devil.” Lucas tutted.
Mason was grinning as he stood. “Sorry, guys. This is one win I’m not going to apologize for.” He stepped up to Olivia, stooped, and slipped one hand beneath her legs and the other around her back.
The next thing she knew, she was in the air and pressed up against his hard chest. Quickly, she wrapped her arms around his neck. “Mason.” She giggled. “I’m not sure if I approve of being a prize.”
“Ah, you will, hen, give me ten minutes.”
She frowned, pretending to be angry. “How would you like it, to be a sex prize?”
He tipped his head back and laughed. “I’m a bloke, I’m never going to complain about getting some action.”
He strode to the door. “See you all in the morning. Sleep well in here.”
“Cocky bastard,” Lucas muttered.
“What was that?” Mason said, still grinning.
“I said you’re a cocky bastard,” Lucas said louder.
Mason winked at him, then turned and headed into the hallway.
“You shouldn’t carry me up the stairs, I’m heavy.”
“Heavy, don’t be ridiculous.” He took the steps two at a time as if to prove his point. “And for the record, if you want to just go to sleep, that’s fine by me. I know you’re tired. Forgive me a bit of bravado in front of the fellas.”
She smiled. “I’m not too tired for you, Mason. I love you.”
“And I love you.”
They went quietly past the silent children’s rooms, then into the master bedroom. Mason set her down and flicked a lock on the door.
“I’m going to take a shower,” she said. “I haven’t had a chance since we landed.”
“Sure, go ahead. I took one earlier.” He walked to the huge window and looked out. “It’s bloody gorgeous here, don’t you think?”
“Yes, I think I could grow to love it. It has the potential to be a lovely family home.”
“That potential is going to hit the ground running tomorrow.”
“What do you mean?”
“I heard Harry on the phone to Riley. There’s going to be no expense spared. This place is getting the billionaire treatment, and it’s all going to start at eight a.m. tomorrow morning.”
“The billionaire treatment?”
“Aye. There’s the new kitchen, fully stocked, obviously.”
“Obviously.”
“He’s got painters and decorators, bathroom installers, gardeners, interior designers, the lot. His list was extensive, and Riley seemed to be throwing ideas at him, too.”
She shook her head. “Well I guess it is a bit sparse at the moment.” She looked around the big room, which felt empty with so few pieces of furniture.
“And they’re on a strict timescale.”
“They are?”
“Yes, it’s all to be done in a day.”
“Phew. When money is talking, anything is possible.”
“It sure is.”
“It’s kind of him, Harry, to do all this.”
“We’re a family now.” Mason shrugged. “He’s providing for his family in his way. We all have something to give, his has zeros on the end.”
“Harry is about so much more than his money.” She frowned.
“I didn’t mean that. You know I didn’t. The real Harrington Vidal could and has survived without it, and is still a bloody decent bloke to have around. But he doesn’t want you or the kids living without things you need. Truth is…” He paused.
“What?”
“Lucas and I aren’t short of a bob or two. We’ll happily contribute. Perhaps we’ll get the car sorted, we’ll need some kind of minibus, plus something smaller, too. Bound to need two modes of transport. Bus and car.”
She laughed. “Yes, you’re right about the bus. I’ll go and have a shower.”
“Don’t be ages, or I’ll come and get you.”
Olivia didn’t take long to jump through the shower. She used the coconut shampoo. Slathered her limbs and torso in sweet-smelling body lotion, brushed her teeth and hair, then, still naked, walked into the bedroom.
Mason was lying on the bed, also naked, and lazily stroking his erection.
The last of the day’s sunshine spilled onto him, highlighting his strength, and the perfect dips and curves of his body.
She paused and once again admired him. He was the picture of confidence, so comfortable in his own skin. Powerful but controlled. Strong but gentle. Fast but graceful.
“Hey, sexy,” he said with a smirk. “Wanna come here and suck my cock?”
She burst out laughing then pressed her fingers over her lips, worried she’d been too loud. That wasn’t what she’d been expecting him to say. “What has got into you tonight, Mason?”
“Happy, I guess. Got everything I wanted and more.” He grinned.
She walked over the large expanse of wooden flooring, loving the way his gaze roamed her body, lingering on her breasts.
“I’m pleased about that.” She sat and wrapped her hand over his, mimicked his movements on his cock.
He parted his lips and blew out a long low breath. “I need you, but I’ll be gentle, I promise. Don’t want to disturb your precious cargo.”
“Precious cargo will be fine.” She peeled his fingers from around his shaft.
He was so hard, his glans shiny, and the long straight vein, which ran down the underside, was dark with blood.
She licked her lips, tipped forward, and swiped her tongue over his slit.
He hissed in a breath. “Fuck.”
She smiled and did it again. After that, she traced the vein with the tip of her tongue, enjoying the heat and flavor of him.
“Ah, hen, you’re gonna make me come so fast.” He slotted his fingers into her hair. “God help me.”
She opened her mouth, sank onto him, and cupped his balls at the same time.
He hunched forward, his toes curling and his fingers tugging her hair roots. “Olivia!”
She pulled up. “Don’t you like it?” She knew damn well he did.
“Aye, but turn around, I want to lick you at the same time.”
She hesitated.
“Come on, like this.” He wriggled down the bed, so he was flat on his back. “It’s easy, just sit on my face.”
A tremble went through her pussy.
“You haven’t gone shy, have you?” He ran his hand down her back.
“No.”
“Come on, you know it’ll be good.”
She didn’t need any more convincing. Mason always made it good.
Crawling on her hands and knees, she straddled his head and tipped forward, her breast pressing against his abdomen.
He gripped her hips and pulled her pussy to his mouth.
She took hold of his cock and slid him deep again.
When he flicked her clit then pushed his hot tongue into her entrance, she groaned around his shaft.
Quickly, she set up a rhythm, working him within the taut circle of her lips.
He was building her up just as fast. He’d added two fingers, gently fucking her with them as the flat of his tongue massaged her clit.
She clenched
her ass cheeks and shifted her hips so she was grinding on him, rubbing her pubic hair over his nose. The want was growing, as was the need for release.
Pre-cum slid over her palate. He was getting close.
She cupped his balls, massaged them, but it was hard to concentrate. He was wickedly good with his mouth. And the way he was gently stimulating her internally had her back bowing and sweat pricking over her brow and between her breasts.
She increased the speed.
He tensed further, drawing his knees up.
It became a battle of who could make the other come first. She was determined to win, but the harder she worked him, the closer he pushed her to the edge.
Then he released her hip and stroked over her anus. Tickling over the tight wrinkled circle of skin.
She gave in to her orgasm. Him touching her there, with everything else, tipped her over the edge. She sank as deep as she could onto his cock, groaned, and bucked against his face.
He didn’t let up, even as a shot of cum spurted from his slit. Still he lashed her clit with his tongue even through his moans of pleasure.
She writhed, sweat slicking over her body. She felt so damn good and didn’t care that she was humping his face.
Eventually her climax abated, and she lifted up, then flopped onto the bed.
Almost effortlessly, he spun her around, carefully pulling her into his arms.
“Fuck, that was hot,” he said, kissing her and spreading her own taste against her lips.
She was breathless. “First time I’ve ever done it like that.”
He grinned, his eyes narrowing as his cheeks balled. “Nice to know I’m your first for something.”
She spread her palm on his chest and absorbed his heartbeat. It was quickly coming back to normal.
“You know how special you are to me, right, Mason?”
“Of course, hen. The way you are to me.” He slid his hand over her breast then to her belly. “Is the little one okay?”
“Sex is good for pregnant women.”
He raised his eyebrows. “Is it now?”
“Yes.” She grinned.
Suddenly he was on top of her, slotted between her legs and his lips hovering over hers. “In that case, give me five minutes and I’ll give you some more of what’s good for you.”
Olivia woke to the rumble of vehicles outside the bedroom window. After pulling a sheet around her naked body, she slipped from the bed and looked out.
Three huge trucks were parked up near the barn. One had Jackson Winter: Professional Kitchens written down the side. Another had Ro Brothers: Decorators You Can Trust. The final one was plain white but bigger than the others.
“Mason,” she said. “Come and check this out.”
He groaned and stretched, the duvet slipping to his thighs. “What?”
“Looks like Riley has been busy. The things Harry ordered are here, including Raul’s kitchen.”
“Bloody hell, that’s quick.” He sat.
“Let’s go and see.” She was about to turn but paused and looked into the distance. “And there’s more on the way.” From where she stood she could see down the long straight drive. At least another five trucks and vans were driving toward the homestead, dust trailing behind them.
“Yeah, come on. With a bit of luck they’ll bring a new bed for in here. I’ve got damn spring marks on my arse.”
She giggled. “I agree, it’s not the most comfortable.”
“That’s because it’s a few centuries old.”
“But we’ve slept on worse.”
“True.”
Quickly, she slipped into the shower. She felt okay until the smell of the coconut shampoo went into her nostrils, then a familiar wave of nausea washed through her.
“What the heck?” she muttered, “That smelled nice yesterday.”
After she’d dried off, she paused for a moment. Was she going to be sick?
Opening the window, she took a few deep breaths. The air was warm but fresh; a lingering hint of the night lurked within it.
She found the scents soothing, and after brushing her teeth, felt as if she could face the day without embarrassing herself.
“You okay?” Mason said when she came out. “You’re a wee bit pale.”
“I felt a bit icky for a moment there, but I’m okay now… I think.”
He squeezed her hand. “Why don’t you go and get a bit of toast while I shower and before they rip out the kitchen?”
“Yes, I’ll do that.”
“Mi niña hermosa, are you awake?” Raul’s voice came through the door.
“Yes, come in.” Quickly she unlocked it.
Raul stepped in, holding a glass of iced water and a dry biscuit. “I brought you this. Best for the morning, si?”
“Perfect, thanks.” She took it gratefully.
Mason slipped into the bathroom and shut the door.
“What’s going on?” she asked, stepping up to the window again.
Harry was speaking to a man in a black cap and overalls.
“It is all happening already.” Raul slid his arm around her waist. “The kitchen designer is top rate. I have told him what I want and he has an army of installers with him. It is going to be perfect for providing good food for my family.”
“That’s great news.”
“And the decorators have been given instructions, by Banna, Amal, and Darius on the color sheme of their bedrooms.”
“They have? Already?”
“Si, Evan was keen to get that sorted out first. He wants it a priority. The children should feel at home and settled as soon as possible.”
“That’s true.” She paused, nibbled her biscuit, then, “Let me guess, Banna has gone for a Frozen theme.”
“Nearly.” He grinned. “Disney princesses, but strict instructions on no wicked witches or magic mirrors. She doesn’t like them.”
“No, she doesn’t.” The dry biscuit was settling her stomach. “And the boys?”
“A combination of planes, trains, boats, and helicopters with a few dinosaurs thrown in.”
She smiled. “I can’t wait to see it.”
“And this room…” Raul spun around. “Is going to have a huge bed, so big they’ve brought it in bits, it will have to be constructed in here.”
She laughed. “Really?”
“Si, good, don’t you think, for us all.”
“I do.”
“But plenty of other beds, too. When you get big like this.” He drew a huge arc from his flat belly. “You might want to sleep alone.”
“Hey, I won’t get that big?”
“Mmm, but maybe you will.” He grinned. “Come, let’s see if Evan set up the appointments.”
“What appointments?”
“The plan is the house will be decorated and revampired within the day which means we should leave them to it and not be in the way.”
She didn’t bother to correct his use of the word revamp.
“Evan has organized for the children to meet their new teachers at the school,” he went on, “and he was booking an appointment at the clinic for you.”
“The clinic?”
“Si, it is in the town, near to the school. They will do a scan.”
She bit on her bottom lip. Seeing the baby on a scan would make it all the more real. “Do you think they’ll let you all in with me?”
“If that’s what Mommy wants, then yes.” He took her hand. “Come on. It is big day for the crew, and the captain is keen to get the balls rolling.”
Chapter Twenty
When Olivia went downstairs to the hallway, Banna, Amal, and Darius were all dressed and eating croissants by the front door.
“We’re going to meet our new teacher,” Amal said, grinning at Olivia.
“That’s very exciting.” She flattened down the back of his hair, which was sticking up. It sprang back to where it had been the moment she lifted her palm. She gave up.
“And you, babe, are going for a check-up.”
Evan slipped his arm around her and kissed her cheek.
“Raul said something about that.” She paused. “They can fit me in at short notice?”
He chuckled. “Valley Point is not a busy place. Some towns out here are sleepy, this one is unconscious.”
“Oh, really?”
“Yeah, but the people are friendly. The school is nice.”
“Is it where you went?”
“Yeah, there’s only two classes, one for under elevens and one for over elevens.”
“So they’ll be in the same class to start with. That’s nice.”
He smiled. “Yeah, for a little while.’
“I hope they settle in okay,” Lucas said, then pressed his lips together and frowned.
Olivia knew what he was worrying about. Their three children were different. Not only were they behind academically, they’d also had such an unsettled time it was bound to show when they started interacting with local kids.
Evan wafted his hand in the air. “It’s a nice school, like I said. Same headmistress as when I was there. She’s firm but fair, doesn’t go along with political correctness. If a child needs a hug, they’ll get one.”
“That sounds perfect.” Olivia smiled. “And if it’s as small as you say, then it should be easy for ours to get some extra attention and bring their reading and writing up to speed.”
“And we can practice after school, isn’t that right?” Harry strolled into the hallway.
“Harry.” Amal reached his arms high.
Harry scooped him up, not seeming to notice the shower of croissant crumbs that floated over his Armani t-shirt. “I’ve spoken to the project manager. He was well informed, thanks to Riley, of everything we want doing and what our timescale is.”
“I can’t believe it’s all getting done in a day.” Mason was now leaning against the wall, spinning his thumb ring. “I mean, is that even possible?”
Harry shrugged. “It is if you pay enough people to come and do it. There’ll be four men per room, including all the bathrooms. The kitchen has eight, plus two guys who’ve brought the granite for the worktops—they’ll be cutting it to size outside.”
Mason nodded. “Cool. So we’re going to get out from under their feet, right?”
Evan nodded at the grandfather clock. “Yeah, we should get going.”
