Her words crashed over him and he froze. The head of his cock throbbed, and his dick grew harder. He couldn’t believe this. Couldn’t believe it was happening like this. He blew out a breath. “More. Tell me more, mo chroí.”

“I want it now. Give it to me, but nice and slow. I want to feel every inch of your length as you stretch my cunt.”

Fuck yeah! Jimmy nodded, cupped her jaw in one hand and kissed her, keeping his eyes open and locked with hers.

  And did what she commanded.

Slow, working the head in and back out, only to press a little deeper inside her tight heat. Sonja moaned into his mouth and he swallowed it. Sucking her tongue, he groaned when her cunt spasmed around his cock.

She gripped his ass, dug her nails in and tightened her legs around his waist. Then she broke the kiss. “Move inside me, James. Now.”

“God yes. Yes! Anything you want.” Jimmy slid out and back in again. He rolled his hips when his pelvis met hers, and ground against her clit.

And with each pass, she raised her ass from the mattress and met his thrust, rubbing against him. The base of his spine tingled with his impending orgasm. Every muscle in his body stretched tighter than a suspension wire.

“Faster.” She licked up the side of his neck. “Harder, James. Fuck me harder.”

Jimmy cupped her ass in his palms. Tilting her hips off the bed, he slid his length out to the tip and then slammed back inside her. “Your cunt is so sweet and hot. Your words are making my dick harder than it’s ever been before. Please, don’t stop.”

Sonja cried out with each thrust and raised her legs higher on his back. He pounded into her, but she felt so delicate and small in his arms, it worried him it might be uncomfortable for her. Slowing, he moved his lips to her ear. “Am I hurting you?”

“No. Why? Don’t stop. I’m fine.” She bit his shoulder.

The sting from her teeth shot through him like a bolt of lightning. The head of his dick pulsed and he growled. Holy shit, she was killing him. “Because you’re s—”

She grabbed him by the back of his hair, pulled his head up and glared into his eyes. Hers were blazing with lust and need. “I said don’t stop. I meant it. You feel incredible. Move your ass, James. I want to feel you pound into me. I need you pounding into me.”

“Oh my God.” Jimmy gritted his teeth, took her legs and hiked them high and over his forearms. Rising to his knees, he gripped her hips, slid his cock out and then drove back in, hard.

“Yes! Yes! Again.” She panted, fisting her hands in the sheets.

Jimmy stared down her body and almost lost his mind. Her tight cunt swallowed his prick and the sound of his pelvis slapping against hers filled his ears. Each time he slammed deep, her tits bounced and she groaned or whimpered in pleasure. She liked it. No, she loved it.

The look on her face sent a tremble through his body. Fuck, he was getting close. He needed to make her orgasm again before he lost control and couldn’t stop himself from coming. Dropping her legs from his arms, he pushed her knees up high and moved over her body again. She spread her legs wider, tilted her pelvis up and took him deeper.

  Jimmy lost his control.

Mindless and wild from the feel of her clenching around his shaft, heat spread through his body, his balls tightened and his orgasm crept up his shaft.

“Oh God, James. Yes, baby. Like that. Don’t stop, I’m going to come.”

“With me.” He sucked in a breath and rocketed into her. “Come with me, mo chroí. I can feel how close you are.” Sonja arched on the bed. Her blonde hair fanned out around her like a halo. A damn angel was what she looked like. “I want your eyes on me when we come.”

Her gaze moved back to his and he continued to fuck her. Hard. Fast, and without mercy. Their bodies, slick with sweat, slid against one another. Her tight nipples grazed his chest. He rolled his hips, grinding against her clit. Sonja dug her nails into his ass and her pussy clenched, spasming around his dick. Barely able to breathe, he stared into her eyes. Her lips parted and she let out a high-pitched moan, nearing a scream, before her lids fluttered closed.

“Eyes, Sonja.” He grunted and rode her harder. Her walls clenched again, and he gritted his teeth. Still in the throes of her climax, she opened her eyes and held his gaze. Jimmy’s orgasm exploded out of him. He stopped moving, and breathing, while his dick pulsed inside her.

“I feel you.” She tightened her arms around him. “James, I feel you.”

“I feel you too, mo chroí.” He swallowed, trying to catch his breath.

His heart pounded in his ears, and he knew, without a doubt, he never wanted to have another woman in his bed again. Sonja was the best he’d ever had, and once a person had the best, they sure as hell didn’t let it go. Ever.

  Chapter Eighteen

Sunlight glared harsh through Jimmy’s loft windows. Rolling over and untangling himself from the sheets, he sat up and called out her name. He glanced over at the bathroom. The door was open, the light off. Damn. “Sonja, you downstairs?”

  Silence.

At least until Norton jumped onto the bed and answered with a purr-filled mmmrrwaawww. Jimmy ran his palm over the cat’s sleek black fur. “You’re certainly not the pussy I was looking for, but good morning to you too.”

Falling back to the pillows, he pressed the heels of his hands to his eyes. When the hell had she left? And how had he not felt her go? Jimmy grabbed the pillow she’d slept on. Pressing it to his face, he inhaled. Yeah, there it was…the lingering scent of her shampoo and perfume. He might never wash the stupid thing again. Which meant he needed to get up right now and put the bedding in the machine. The idea of trying to preserve her scent on his sheets was way too chick-lit for him to even allow.

Norton meowed again and nudged Jimmy’s leg. “Some help you are. Why didn’t you tell me she was leaving?” The cat gave him a disinterested look before curling up next to him. Jimmy tucked the pillow under his cheek and closed his eyes. Images of the night with her flooded his mind. His sensory memory went into overdrive. Her taste, her scent, the way her skin felt beneath his hands. Her body wrapped around his while he buried himself inside her heat. All of if flowed through him, drawing a groan from his throat. His body tensed and his cock twitched, coming to life.

But that wasn’t even the half of it. The way she’d been—the way she took control—had knocked him on his ass for sure. Sonja burst from her Upper East Side upbringing, and in doing so, took him to a place he never knew he wanted to go. In all his sexually active life, he’d never felt anything like it. After round one, Jimmy believed he’d died and gone to heaven. Then she completely let loose on him for round two, taking him higher than he’d ever been before.

Sonja had directed him to keep his hands above his head, not allowing him to touch her as she stroked his skin with her fingers and tongue. But then the situation went into overdrive. With his cock buried in the warmth of her mouth, Sonja drove him to the brink of pleasure-induced insanity, refusing to allow him to come. And as Jimmy was swept into a storm of physical bliss, he’d begged and pleaded for her to let him orgasm.

“Please” was the only word he’d been capable of saying. Until finally she granted permission and he exploded, spurting his climax down her throat.

Jimmy died a thousand deaths, only to be revived again and again with the sweet power of her words, mouth and hands. The road back from heaven led straight to hell. And what a sweet, carnal trip it’d been.

He burned for her, was still burning. The woman lit an inferno inside him no one had ever struck before. And he knew he’d burn for her forever. There’d be no stopping it now.

A loud bang at the front door ripped him from his thoughts, and also the bed. Jimmy was up and moving toward the stairs before thinking twice. Half way down the spiral staircase, he remembered he was buck-ass naked. Shit. Pivoting, he barreled back up and retrieved his sleep short
s.

The pounding resumed, echoing through the loft in a methodic beat. “I’m coming!” Jimmy hopped down two and three steps at a time, somehow managing to pull his shorts up over his ass. He didn’t bother checking the peephole, just threw the door open.

Andy blew past him and hung a left into his kitchen. “’Bout time you opened up. Jesus.”

“Come on in.” With a shake of his head, Jimmy closed the door and followed after her.

“So?” Andy pulled a couple of bagels from a brown paper bag, sliced them and popped them in the toaster. Jimmy leaned against the doorframe and crossed his arms. She glanced at him with one eyebrow raised before moving to his empty coffee pot.

“I’ll get it.” Entering his small kitchen, he pulled the filters and coffee from the cabinet.

“Ooh, nice perfume.” Andy grinned and pulled a small tub of cream cheese from the bag. “She’s got good taste. Tell me what happened.”

“Of course she’s got good taste. She’s with me.” He chuckled and set the pot to brew.

  “With you, huh? Spill.”

“After I’ve had some caffeine and a shower.”

“Dude, I’m not waiting for you to shower before you tell me what happened. Yeah, obviously you fucked her. That much I can smell.” Andy scrunched up her nose and laughed. “On second thought, maybe you should shower first.”

  “Andy, you’re such a girl. And yet…not.”

  “Dick.”

He grinned and pulled two plates from the upper cabinet. “In your mouth.”

Andy gagged. “Fucking wrong, dude. Just wrong.”

“Hey, don’t knock what you haven’t tried.”

She rolled her eyes, pulled the hot bagels out of the toaster and tossed them down on the plates. Using a butter knife, she slathered each of the halves with a liberal amount of spread. His best friend knew he was kidding, and likely her silence meant she was contemplating her response. Knowing her, she’d wait until he had a mouthful of coffee or bagel before tossing a smart-ass comment his way, ensuring he’d almost choke to death.

The coffee pot beeped. Jimmy poured them each a cup. Andy took her plate and mug and headed toward his little dinette set in the living room area. Jimmy followed. Sitting across from her, he watched her with caution while she took a sip from her mug, and he took a bite of his bagel.

“A dick is a dick, is a strap-on, is a dick. Whatever works.” She shrugged and took another sip of coffee.

There it was. Shit. Jimmy laughed around his mouthful of food, covered his mouth with the napkin and did his damnedest not to choke. He swallowed. “I knew it was coming. Only a matter of time.” He chuckled. “And thanks for the visual. Christ, Andy.”

“Hey, what can I say? You asked for it.” She bit into her bagel. “So, are you officially off the market?”

He nodded and added a wink. “Consider me a taken man.”

“Noted. But tell me…” She leaned forward on her elbows. “Does your dream girl know this?”

Jimmy stared at his best friend, trying to figure out how best to answer the ten-million-dollar question. Leave it to her to ask him the one thing he didn’t know the answer to.

Andy raised her brows. “Go shower. You can think about your answer while you’re in there.”

  “It’s complicated.”

“Now who sounds like a girl?”

Jimmy grunted and stood. “Eat your bagel. I’ll be back in ten.”

She grinned up at him. “Yes, dear.”

It wasn’t a hard question, and one he should know the answer to. How could Sonja not know she’d stolen his heart? Figuratively updating his Facebook status to “In a relationship with…” without him having to do it himself? She must know. And if she didn’t, he guessed his next move was to make sure she understood exactly what the deal was between them.

He was a man, after all. Men were hunters by nature and instinctively went for what they wanted. Jimmy wanted Sonja—had wanted her from the moment he met her. Okay, maybe not the exact moment he met her. Technically he thought she was a bitch when they first met, but about five minutes after, and once he’d started plying her with shots of Jäger, getting her to loosen up, he knew he wanted her.

Problem was, he still wasn’t sure if she wanted him.

After spending the afternoon with Andy, Jimmy settled on his sofa, his phone pressed to his ear, listening to it ring for what felt like a thousand times.

  “Hello, James.”

Her sweet voice through the phone line was a balm to the anxiety knotting his stomach in fear she wouldn’t answer. Jimmy blew out a breath he hadn’t realized he was holding. “How’s your Saturday been?”

  “Overall it’s been okay. You?”

Slouching down on the couch, Jimmy propped his feet up on his coffee table, crossing them at the ankle. “After waking up in an empty bed, which kinda sucked, I have to say, it got better. Hung out with my best friend for most of the day.”

“Surely you didn’t expect to wake up next to me. I would think you’d prefer to wake alone. After all, isn’t that how things work when you’re single?”

Jimmy closed his eyes. She didn’t get it. “Yeah, I guess, except…”

  “Except what?”

Screw it. He may as well hit her with it straight. “Except I would rather have woken up with you there, that’s all.”

“I can say your answer both surprises and confuses me.”

He chuckled before letting out a loud sigh. Nope, Sonja-the-lawyer did not get it. “And I can say your reaction, sadly, does not surprise me.”

“I’m not sure why or what to do with you.”

Jimmy dropped his feet to the floor and straightened, rubbing the spot between his brows. “No need to be sure. I have plenty of ideas.”

She let out a soft laugh. “Oh yeah, like what?”

Memories of the prior night with her played through his mind—vivid images of her naked body. Her voice echoing in his ears… Bliss. It’d been fucking bliss. But really, could you call something you hadn’t stopped thinking about since it happened a memory? It was more like a steady stream of awareness of an event he for sure wanted to repeat. He lowered his voice. “Liiiiike…what you did with me last night. That’s a fine place to start.”

“Hmm…so your desire is to have more than a one-night fling with me?” Her tone was matter of fact, almost threaded with disbelief, nowhere near inquisitive.

“Desire? No, Sonja. I intend to have much more than a one-night fling with you.”

“You sound quite sure of yourself.”

“I am.” He stood and walked to the loft’s big windows. “I know last night was more than a fling for you too, so don’t try and deny it. That kind of chemistry and being in sync with another person is rare and it will happen again.”

Silence stretched over the cellular waves between them. Her soft breaths in his ear were the only indication she was still on the line, until finally she spoke. “I can’t deny there was chemistry between us, but I’m not sure it’s wise to continue.”

“Wise?” He laughed. “Of course it’s wise. It’d be the smartest thing you’ve ever done. Trust me on that.”

“You love to annoy me. You love to pick fights with me. Why on earth should I trust you, James?”

“Tell you what. Come have a drink with me tonight and I’ll explain all the many reasons why you should trust me.”

  “No.”

“No? That’s it? Just…no?” Jimmy pinched the bridge of his nose and paced in front of the windows. Jesus, she was stubborn.

“No is a complete sentence, James.”

“Yeah, you’ve said that before and, yeah, it is, but I don’t get it. Your favorite word to say to me is no. But last night you said yes. Finally. And you have to admit you’re grateful you did. The many orgasms we shared are proof of that.

“I can admit I’m very grateful for the experience of last night.”

“Come have a drink with me, Sonja.”

“No. But if you must know, I have other commitments tonight I have to attend to.”

  “Okay fine, you win. Tomorrow.”

“Sunday has its own set of commitments.”

Defeat and disappointment warred for first place in Jimmy’s heart. Resuming his spot on the couch, he rested his head back on the cushions and closed his eyes again. He thought for sure after last night, they’d be past the constant problem of her pushing him off. But, no. “No” was still her favorite answer when it came to him. And that fucking sucked. “You’re not going to make this easy, even a little bit, are you?”

“I’m sure I don’t know what you mean.”

Jimmy blew out an exasperated breath. “Oh, I think you do, but I’ll let it go for now.”

“Look, I had a very nice time last night.”

“Sonja, don’t. I’m not going anywhere. No matter how many times you tell me no, I’m not giving up. So, although I’ll concede defeat tonight, be ready for me to call tomorrow.”

“Fine. Have a good evening, James.”

“You too.” Jimmy tossed his phone on the couch beside him.

It was clear Sonja intended to keep him at a distance. Being patient wasn’t going to be easy for him, but he’d give it hell. He would show her, at every turn, he was serious. He’d found something that lit his world on fire—he knew it lit hers up just the same.

There was no way in hell he was going to let her rob either of them of that.

  Chapter Nineteen

Sonja looked up from the file she was reading at her desk to find James standing in her office doorway. Damn.

He smiled that wicked smile of his, holding up a large paper sack for her to see. “Care for some lunch?”

She blinked, straightening in her seat. “Um…”

James strolled into her office as if it were perfectly normal for him to be there. A black T-shirt, with some sort of white skeleton-and-angel design on it, clung to his chest. A pair of faded blue jeans with a few faint stains on them—might be paint or actual stain—hugged his long legs. Crap, he looked really good.
