My peak is already getting close and there is no point in arguing with him. He knows my body better than I do and he can do whatever he wants with it. “God, Damon, I love you so much.”

  “I love you, Cassandra. Always.”

He kisses me softly and then we’re both lost in the sensations he’s creating, the feel of our connected bodies, the sound of our hard breathing and the love that pulses between us. Every kiss and caress, every thrust and moan is our way of showing each other what we mean, what we are together.

He brings me close to the edge and pulls back, doing as he promised and prolonging my orgasm. He does that three times before I whimper in frustration. “You want to come, baby?”

  “Please.”

“Come with me,” he commands and picks up his pace. A few thrusts later his hand over my mouth is muffling my screams and he’s groaning in my neck as we fall over the edge together.

Damon’s fingers are tapping on the steering wheel incessantly. We’re on our way to pick up Alana right now. We left Emma home with our housekeeper to give Alana some time to prepare for her. Her enthusiasm is a little over the top.

Damon told me he wanted us to adopt a child almost two years after Emma was born. I agreed immediately. Why not offer a home to another child when we had the means to do it? And it would mean Emma would have a brother or sister. Of course it took two more years for the adoption to be approved and the whole process to be completed but now we were here. And of course we hadn’t expected for me to get pregnant with twins during that time but it still didn’t change our choice.

“You’re nervous, aren’t you?” I ask my wonderful husband.

He gives me a sheepish smile before looking back at the road. “You can tell, huh? I just want everything to be okay.”

I place my hand on his thigh. “And it will be.”

“I want to be a good father to her,” he whispers so low that I almost miss it.

“Baby, you are a great father. Just ask Emma. Why would it be any different for Alana?”

He exhales slowly. “I guess you’re right.” We reach the adoption agency and he parks right outside. Before I can reach for the door handle, he grabs my hand and brings it to his lips. He just holds it there.

“Hey, I have an idea,” I tell him as I remove my seatbelt and lean towards him. “Every time you feel nervous you kiss me. That will take your mind off things.”

He chuckles and leans closer to bring his face right over mine. “One, that is a very devious plan to get me to kiss you more and completely unnecessary since you know I’m addicted to your taste.”

  I grin devilishly. “I know!”

“Two, that will give me a hard-on since I’m always halfway there when you’re near me. And it’s very inappropriate right now.”

  My smile turns sheepish. “True.”

He turns serious. “And three, I love you. I’ll be okay as long as you’re with me.”

“Always,” I promise instantaneously. And then blink up at him coyly. “As long as you find me a bathroom stat because your sons are sitting on my bladder.”

He laughs heartily. “Got it, boss. Let’s get inside, get you to the bathroom and get our daughter.”
