I stroked down his chest, over his tattoos, down to the band on his briefs, hooking my thumbs in it and pulling it down slowly to his ankles. I stood up equally as slow, making sure to linger near his already hardening cock before I stood up completely straight.

‘Now get on the bed,’ I said.

He did as I asked. I got out the bedpost extensions, letting him watch me as I set everything up, putting his ankle and wrist straps on. I stood in front of him, watching him spread on the bed completely naked. I enjoyed the sight, knowing it was my time to shine, my time to tease.

I stood at the end of the bed, pulling off my shirt slowly. I tossed it to the floor, turning so my back was to him. I undid my bra, dropping it on top of my shirt. I then undid my jeans, my panties coming off last, the entire time my back to him.

I stood for a moment, smiling to myself before turning for him, letting him get a good view. My eyes went to his hard on, which was getting stiffer.

‘And now the blindfold,’ I said, grabbing it from the end of the bed and climbing on top of him. I straddled him as I put the blindfold on him. ‘Let the fun begin.’

I kissed him sweetly, grabbing his bottom lip with my teeth. He eagerly kissed me back, his tongue diving into my mouth. I smiled as I pulled away, kissing his collarbone, down to his pecs. I kissed around his nipple, his skin tingling as I gave it a little lick.

I moved to the centre of his chest, trailing kisses down to his stomach. I kissed all over before I moved to his hip bone, which made him flinch.

‘Ah, a sensitive spot,’ I said with a smile.

I kissed it again, getting another flinch and a little moan. I looked up to see his face, his mouth parted and his breathing picking up. I moved towards his groin area, kissing down to his thigh, moving from one leg to the other, kissing my way back up.

I continued up and down, changing things up, not letting him know where I was going to go, what I was going to do. Was it going to be a little kiss, or was I going to use my tongue? I deliberately avoided his now throbbing cock, his little whimpers and moans starting to sound like pleas for help, to make it stop, in the most amazing way.

I decided it was time to give him a little relief. I grabbed his cock gently, his whole body tensing. I then got an idea, letting go and diving for my lube, lubing up my fingers. I made an ‘OK’ sign with my thumb and forefinger, gently squeezing the base of his shaft. I then licked from the base to the tip, which made him shudder and call out.

‘I’m not going to be able to hold on long,’ he panted.

‘Shh,’ I said, looking back to his cock, fixing my grip so I was just using my hand to stroke gently.

I then leaned forward, putting him entirely in my mouth, his moan loud in my ears. I sucked all the way up, stopping with the head still in my mouth, licking at the sensitive frenulum. His breathing picked up intensely, panting loudly.

I pulled away, tasting the precum in my mouth as I got on top of him, slowly pushing him into me. I gasped, putting my hands on his chest for stability as I began slowly thrusting. I started to pick up the pace, his whimpers turning into loud moans.

‘Ah, God,’ he managed, tugging on the restraints hard as his body started moving in time with mine. I stopped, letting him thrust.

He was going fast, obviously eager to come, so I stopped him, putting my hand on his chest. ‘Wait.’

  He stopped, panting loudly. ‘What?’

‘Just wait,’ I said, running my hands up and down his chest and kissing it. ‘Just relax.’

I waited until his breathing evened out before I started to thrust again, going nice and slow before I picked up the pace. I then stopped, his grip on his restraints tightening as he let out a groan of aggravation.

‘Uh, you’re such a fucking tease,’ he said, arching his back and letting out another groan.

I smiled, letting him calm down before starting up a rhythm once again, really getting him moaning. I then stopped once again, getting that aggravated groan from him.

  ‘God, Christ,’ he said.

I stroked his chest, deciding I would give him what I knew he wanted. I started up once again, going as fast as I could, his moans getting louder as he realized I wasn’t going to stop. He yanked on the restraints hard as he came, his whole body jerking.

I leaned forward, kissing him as I took off the blindfold, tossing it on the side table. I ran my fingers through my hair, getting the sweaty strands off my neck and back.

‘How was that?’ I asked breathlessly.

  ‘Shit,’ he said, swallowing hard.

‘That good, huh?’ I asked. I leaned forward, undoing the restraints around his wrists.

‘It drove me crazy not feeling your body,’ he said, grabbing hold of me, sitting up, and kissing my chest and neck.

‘That was the point,’ I said, running my fingers through his hair, tickling at his neck.

  ‘Your turn,’ he said.

‘I think I need a nap first,’ I said. ‘That took a lot out of me. I did all the work.’

‘I tried, you made me stop,’ he said.

I laughed. ‘Because that was the point, I was supposed to be doing all the work. You were to lie back and enjoy. I think you enjoyed.’

‘If I was able to see you and touch you it would have been better,’ he said, leaning back on his arms.

‘Well, you get to see and touch next time,’ I said, getting off and undoing the restraints around his ankles. ‘Now we nap. We cuddle.’

‘What is it with women and cuddling?’ he asked, tossing the restraints away.

‘What is your deal with cuddling?’ I asked, climbing up the bed and beside him, laying on my side.

  ‘How do you mean?’

‘I remember when we first started sleeping together you made the biggest deal out of the way I slept and cuddled,’ I said, my head resting on the pillow. ‘Now you seem to enjoy it. Yet you also whine about it.’

‘I don’t whine,’ he said, laying on his back beside me. ‘I enjoy cuddling... with my girlfriend.’

‘And you’ve only really had one, right?’ I asked with a smirk.

‘One I’ve cuddled with, yeah,’ he said.

‘Aww, I’m the only one you’ve cuddled with?’ I asked.

‘I’m the only one you’ve cuddled with,’ he said.

‘You’re my only for a lot of things,’ I said, shuffling towards him and resting my head on his chest.

‘Plan on keeping it that way?’ he asked.

I looked up to him. ‘Why would I want it to be any other way? Do you want it to be any other way?’

  ‘Of course not,’ he said.

‘Well, there you go,’ I said. ‘Is this because of Anita and Jack last night?’

He sighed. ‘No. I... I don’t know why I asked.’

‘Killing your own buzz, wow,’ I said. ‘Weird.’

‘You ready for tomorrow?’ he asked.

I nodded. ‘Yup. As ready as I possibly can be. Are you?’

  ‘I think so,’ he said.

‘Oh boy,’ I said. ‘Being unsure is going to get you eaten alive.’

‘You think your family is as bad as mine?’

I shrugged. ‘My brothers are going to be ruthless. I’m sure they’ll squeeze in a few fat jokes while we’re there. I’m not worried about my parents, you already met them.’

‘Just your brothers,’ he said, nodding.

‘Yup. Just my brothers,’ I said with a sigh. ‘I guess we should be prepared for anything.’

  Chapter Eight

It was a long ride to Whitby, so I decided on taking Gravol. It helped considerably; I had no nausea even though I noticed nervous jitters in my stomach at the thought of Quinn meeting my family. My entire family. The part of my family I didn’t want him to meet, but I guess I had little choice in it. He had to meet them eventually.

We pulled up to the Victorian-style home, which looked different from when I last saw it a few months ago when it was a little winter wonderland, the tree
in the front covered in snow. Now, it was full and lush with leaves on the little front lawn, the flowers in the garden in front of the house prettily turned up into the sun’s rays.

It looks safe... little do they know that there’s a bunch of snakes hiding inside.

I frowned, seeing my brothers’ cars in the drive.

‘Looks like we’ll need to park in front,’ Quinn said. ‘I don’t think the Lincoln is small enough to fit.’

‘I guess it’ll be all right,’ I said, looking around to the other houses that had cars parked in front of them. ‘Everyone else seems to be doing it.’

  ‘You OK?’ he asked.

I looked him over, seeing how nicely he was dressed, no tie, but a black silk shirt, a suit jacket over the top, and black slacks. I was wearing a light pink sundress, my hair tied up to keep it out of the way. I thought I looked pretty, but I knew Liz, my brother’s wife, would find some problem with me, probably because I looked pretty.

I tried to smile. ‘I’m fine. We should get in, get this over with.’

He nodded, undoing his seatbelt and getting out. I followed, taking a deep breath as I did so.

‘You want me to bring your sweater?’ he asked, pointing to the back seat.

‘Nah, it gives me a good reason to escape if things get tense,’ I said. When things get tense.

‘All right,’ he said, taking my hand and leading me up to the door.

I swallowed hard as I knocked, pursing my lips a little, feeling the pink lipstick on them. My father answered the door, wearing his usual plaid flannel shirt and jeans, smiling.

‘Hi, sweetie!’ he said happily, grabbing and hugging me, kissing my cheek, his black moustache tickling me.

‘Hi, Daddy,’ I said, smiling. I couldn’t help it.

He pulled away from me, looking up to Quinn, since my father was only about two inches taller than me. ‘Sir,’ he said, his hand out.

‘Great to be here,’ Quinn said, giving a little smile.

‘Well, come on out back, your mother and brothers are there,’ he said, signalling for us to follow him.

‘Oh boy,’ I said under my breath, holding Quinn’s hand firmly as we headed through the house, passing the living room and the staircase, and out to the backyard.

I stopped at the threshold for the screen door, looking out into the yard, the wooden deck holding the barbeque off to my left, a large glass table off to the right with the eight seats around it, the chairs not all matching.

‘Oh boy,’ I repeated, my mother seeing me and smiling.

‘There you are,’ she said, walking up to us. ‘I thought you’d gotten lost.’

I tried to smile. ‘Yeah, no. Just had to wait until the Gravol kicked in before we set off.’

She frowned. ‘Still having problems with the anxiety?’

  I nodded. ‘A little. But I’m OK.’

She looked to Quinn. ‘And how are you today, Mister Quinlan?’

He smiled, nodding. ‘I’m quite all right, Mrs. Fournier.’

‘Great, why don’t you come out and meet everyone?’ she said, turning towards the barbeque where my two brothers stood, beers in their hands as they laughed.

‘Oh boy,’ I said, shaking my head.

  ‘What’s wrong?’ Quinn asked.

‘They’ve been drinking,’ I said, my face feeling hot from an embarrassed blush.

‘I’m sure it’ll be all right,’ he said, tugging on my hand and leading me towards them.

My brother John was first to turn, looking from me to Quinn, surprise on his face. He was the same height as Quinn, though his hair was black and cropped short, since he hated having it long, his eyes hazel, like my father’s, a little squinty, like my great-grandfather, who he was named after. I was a little disappointed that he was wearing a Chevrolet T-shirt and jeans, a black baseball cap on his head.

  ‘Um, hi,’ I said.

  ‘Hey,’ he said, nodding.

‘Um, John, this is Robert Quinlan. Quinn, this is my eldest brother John,’ I said.

John put out his free hand, shaking Quinn’s. ‘Hey.’

‘Nice to meet you,’ Quinn said politely.

I looked to my other brother, Michael. I was surprised that he had put on a little weight, his face no longer thin and chiselled as it once was, but round and swollen, his hair a buzz cut under his Toronto Maple Leafs cap. One thing about my brothers, they liked baseball caps. He also wore a simple T-shirt and jeans, making Quinn and I look out of place in our Sunday best.

‘Michael, this is Robert Quinlan,’ I said. ‘Quinn, this is my other brother Michael.’

‘Mike,’ he said, looking to Quinn but not shaking his hand. Quinn didn’t even bother putting out his to be snubbed, a saving grace.

‘Ma said you were seeing someone,’ John said.

I nodded. ‘For a while now.’

Michael looked to Quinn. ‘What do you do for a living?’

‘I work on Bay Street. I own the Trask Building and a few of the companies in it,’ Quinn replied. ‘Stephanie didn’t mention what you do.’

‘Classic car repair,’ Michael said, obviously not interested, instead looking to me. ‘You missed your nephew’s birthday.’

  ‘I wasn’t invited,’ I said crisply.

‘Like you would have come,’ he said, leaning on the edge of the deck.

I took a deep breath. ‘I didn’t really have the option to decline or accept. I was at Christmas, wasn’t I? I go where I’m welcome.’

‘Honey,’ Liz said, walking up the steps of the deck with her youngest son in her arms.

  ‘Yeah?’ Michael said.

‘I think Mikey needs a change,’ she said, handing the kid to my brother, who put his beer down and took him into the house.

I looked to Liz, who wasn’t any different from the last time I saw her; she still had a long, horse-like face with buck teeth, her eyes large and always glassy, high-looking since she did her fair share of drugs in her youth. She was extremely skinny with a horrible posture, curling like a question mark.

  ‘Who’s this?’ Liz asked.

‘Quinn, this is Michael’s wife, Liz,’ I said. ‘Liz, this is my boyfriend, Quinn.’

‘Boyfriend,’ she repeated, one brow raised in disbelief.

I didn’t appreciate it, nodding as confidently as I could, my hand in Quinn’s. ‘Yes. My boyfriend.’

‘How long has that been going on?’ she asked, grabbing Michael’s beer, which he had left beside the barbeque.

  ‘Since January,’ Quinn said.

So he counts from when we first slept together. I smiled a little. I guess I really did have him from the start.

‘Where did you meet?’ she asked.

‘Stephanie worked for my law firm,’ Quinn said.

‘Oh yeah,’ she said, ‘the one that you were fired from?’

My eyes narrowed on her. ‘I quit; I wasn’t fired.’

‘Stephanie was offered literary representation. We were living together, so it made sense for her to quit the firm,’ Quinn said, obviously not shaken.

‘You already live together?’ she asked, her face curled in disgust. It wasn’t an attractive look.

I nodded. ‘Yup. A condo downtown. Quinn owns it as well.’

She went quiet, obviously not knowing what to say. It felt awkward; something I knew John hated. He broke the tension, adding more by looking to Quinn. ‘You want a beer?’

‘No thanks, I don’t drink,’ Quinn replied.

My mother walked up from the yard; she had been playing with her grandchildren. ‘Anyone want some iced tea?’ she asked.

I nodded, tugging on Quinn’s hand and bringing him over to the table where the pitcher of iced tea was sitting. My mother poured out a glass for me, looking to Quinn, who shook his head. The light from the sunny day hit off her auburn hair, making it blaze like fire.

‘How are things going?’ she asked me, her hazel eyes coming to me.

‘Liz and Michael are being bitches, as usua
l,’ I said, taking the glass from the table.

‘Are you going to come see your nephews?’ she asked.

I shook my head. ‘No thanks. I’ll stick with grownups.’

She frowned. ‘Everyone was a little disappointed that you weren’t at Matty’s birthday party.’

‘I wasn’t invited,’ I whispered angrily. ‘If I’m not invited, I’m not going out of my way to come to a child’s birthday party. No one shows up for my birthday. Michelle took me out for dinner and I just got a phone call from you and Dad.’

‘He had to work,’ she said. ‘I know it upset you, but –’

‘No buts,’ I said, shaking my head. ‘Everyone in this family is concerned with everyone else but me.’

‘Stephanie, I am not getting into this, not today,’ she said.

‘You asked for it, inviting me here,’ I said, crossing my arms. ‘When was the last time you invited me over for dinner? I know you have the boys here at least once a week. Why am I never invited?’

‘You have your own life,’ she said. ‘You have your man; you’re in the city.’

‘So because I have a boyfriend I’m not invited to family functions?’ I asked. ‘I wasn’t invited before either, for the entire year I didn’t live here.’

‘Stephanie,’ she said angrily. ‘I am not doing this. If you don’t want to be here, then leave.’

I felt as if I had been slapped. I let go of Quinn’s hand, marching into the house. I debated waiting for Quinn by the car, but instead walked to my old bedroom, which was the same as when I lived there over a year ago, still painted a light lavender pink.

I sat down on the end of the bed, tears in my eyes.

I heard footsteps on the stairs, expecting it to be my father, but instead it was Quinn, who walked in, closing the door behind him.

  ‘You OK?’ he asked.

I shook my head, sniffling. ‘They all treat me like shit.’

‘I think your mother and father are the exception, but your brothers don’t seem too interested in you being here,’ he said. ‘I thought you would have run out to the car.’

‘I debated on it, but decided I don’t want them to win,’ I said, wiping my face.

He sat beside me on the bed. ‘We can leave if you want to.’
