“He loves you still. And always,” she told him. “It flows from heaven to your heart and back again.”
Donovan’s kiss was gentle, reverent. “You had dreams when I met you.”
“I still do. You’re in every one of them.”
“You’ve taught me how to dream again. And I do. Of you. Every day,” he said, kissing her eyes. “Every night.” He kissed her nose. “Sweet dreams,” he said as he kissed her on the mouth.
Anna smiled up at him. “Donovan, do you realize you’re kissing your housekeeper again? What will people say?” she teased.
“I imagine they’ll say that I’m a very lucky man,” he told her, amusement lighting his eyes.
“You’re a wonderful man, my love,” she said.
Then neither of them said anything more, for she was in his arms and that was all that mattered.
