Samuel raised his hands over the two of them. "Do you hupo take this lolo to be your bride?"
"Did he just call me stupid?" Michaela asked.
"You are marrying him," Samuel pointed out.
"Yes," Marcus snapped.
"Sistah, are you sure about dis?"
"Yes."
"Well, then kiss her and I don't wanna see any tongue."
"Close your eyes then," Marcus said, pulling Michaela to him.
As usual, she melted into his arms and everything faded away. She was home. It was perfect.
"Since you pledged your eternal alohas to each other, by da mana I possess, I pronounce you Pilikua and Pilialo.” Dude finished with a flourish. "Now let's go eat. Dey gonna be a while."
"Aloha au 'ia 'oe," Michaela whispered to Marcus.
"I love you too." Marcus kissed his bride again.
