But whatever came next, they would get through it together.

And so Bear followed Jordan through the Bubbledoor, intent on finding Alex and Kaiden—and facing whatever challenges were ahead.

No matter what, he would keep fighting.

For his family, for his friends, for the humans of Medora…

… And most of all, for his dad.

The greatest man he had ever known.

  ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

This book came as a surprise to everyone, including me. I started writing Jordan’s novella because I wanted to understand how he might have recovered from what happened to him in Raelia and Draekora. His story was intended for me alone, but his healing transformation ended up being so powerful that I decided to share it with my publishers. While they were reading it, I was compelled to see how Bear might have felt during the events of Graevale… and after that, I was desperate to learn why D.C. was so difficult when we first met her in Akarnae.

By the time my publishers offered to release Scars and Silence, I had two extra novellas to surprise them with, which ultimately led to the production of We Three Heroes.

The unexpected creation of this book means that releasing it is such a gift to me, so I want to say an enormous thank you to everyone at Pantera Press for allowing my “five-book series” to become a “five-point-five (but really six-book) series.” To Ali Green, thank you for continuing to be so amazing that I basically say the same gushing things in all of my acknowledgements. (FYI, you can visit me in Canada anytime you want.) To James Read, I’m beyond grateful for all the hours you spend helping to shape this series into perfection. To Anabel Pandiella, thank you for all the excitingness that’s to come. (Part of which will likely include a mention that ‘excitingness’ isn’t a real word…) To Marty and Elly and Anna and literally everyone at Pantera—you’re all incredible.

I’d have little to no sanity without my superhero agent, Victoria Wells Arms, so thank you for always being there for me. Also to my ever-magical cover designers at XOU Creative, along with my meticulous proofreader, Desanka Vukelich—thank you.

As with every book I write, huge gratitude to God, my family and friends for sticking with me on this rollercoaster ride that just keeps becoming even more unbelievable. Who’d have thought we’d get here, huh? :-P

To my critique readers—especially Krystal Gagen-Spriggs, Jenna Harper, Catriona Feeney and Alison Elzayed—thank you for loving these characters and wanting to experience Medora from their eyes. Your passion for this series and your encouragement along the way means the world to me.

Finally, to all my readers… I truly can’t express just how much I adore you all. Thank you, thank you, thank you. *Unending hugs*

Lynette Noni grew up on a farm in outback Australia until she moved to the beautiful Sunshine Coast and swapped her mud-stained boots for sand-splashed flip-flops. She has always been an avid reader and most of her childhood was spent lost in daydreams of far-off places and magical worlds. She was devastated when her Hogwarts letter didn’t arrive, but she consoled herself by looking inside every wardrobe she could find, and she’s still determined to find her way to Narnia one day. While waiting for that to happen, she creates her own fantasy worlds and enjoys spending time with the characters she meets along the way.

We Three Heroes is a novella collection in Lynette’s bestselling YA fantasy series, The Medoran Chronicles.
