  More than anything, doing things differently in this series made me think differently and develop new skills. It is my hope that these things will help me become a better writer, more versatile in the stories I tell. I plan on doing this for a long time and I have dozens of stories just waiting to be released, so changing things up is healthy.

  It makes me a little sad that the series is finished, as it always does when I finish a project. I may be writing more in this world, but whether the stories are standalone or other series, I don’t know. I have plans for a fairly long series, though not in this world. I’m excited to play in the worlds I’ve created.

  For now, I’ll check this series off my list and move onto the next one. It’s all a lot of work, but there’s nothing else I’d rather be doing.

  A chemical engineer by degree and at various times an air quality engineer, a process control engineer, and a regulatory specialist by vocation, USA Today bestselling author P.E. Padilla learned long ago that crunching numbers and designing solutions was not enough to satisfy his creative urges.
