Making Over Maris

  But she could get enough.

  She’d had enough.

Not that she didn’t absolutely love this but she had another need. A need that could not be denied.

  She spread her legs.

It took him a moment—he was rather distracted—but then he noticed. He stared at her nest.

Just in case he hadn’t picked up on the invitation, she spread her pussy lips for him. “Lick it, Jack.” A whisper, a plea, a demand.

“Oh yeah.” He crawled up the sofa, up the length of her body, hooking her knee over his shoulder as he approached. “Oh Sara.”

“I loved when you ate me out last time. Do you remember that?”

He gaped at her. “Um. Yes. I remember.”

  “Do it again, Jack.”

And again, just in case he hadn’t picked up on the blatant invitation, she wound her fingers through his hair and guided his head down and down.

His breath touched her first, a soft huff, like a sigh. But then he found her and she lost all reason.

His mouth was warm, hot, as he encased her clit. He nudged it with his tongue and then sucked. She tightened her muscles to keep from mashing her cunt into his face but couldn’t help gripping his ears to hold him in place.

And God! As he had worshipped her feet, he paid decadent homage to her holiest of holies. Licking, lapping, nibbling, stroking, tasting. Each touch was delicate and delightful.

Somehow he knew just what she wanted, just what she needed. Skillfully, he drew her closer and closer to orgasm, edging up the sensation at precisely the right time, increasing the friction, escalating the pace.

She opened the robe farther so she could toy with her nipples. They were swollen and fat.

“Yes,” she panted, closing her legs around his head. “Yes.”

  He stopped.

She released him from his prison. So she could glare at him.

His eyes were wide, his jaw slack. “I want…”

  “What, Jack?”

“May I touch you…here?” He dandled a finger at the mouth of her cunt.

“Yes.” This, she hissed. Because seriously? He had to ask?

On one level, she loved that he asked because—well, just because. On the other, it was annoying because—damn it—yes! She wanted him in her. She wanted something in her.

  Needed it.

She was so close to the precipice she could explode at any second.

And when he eased into her, when he slipped two fingers into her weeping pussy, she did.

His thrust was tentative but filling and he paired it with another well-placed suck and a flick.

A lovely little orgasm trickled through her.

  It was pleasant. Nice.

  She thought she was done.

  But he wasn’t.

He nudged deeper. Wiggled around. Explored her inner—

  Oh God!

He found a place, massaged a spot that sent shards of electricity dancing along every nerve. And once he found it, he refused to let it go. He played with it, came at it from this angle and that, stroking and rubbing and driving her wild.

“Oh Jack!” She clutched at his head, buried in her lap as it was, ground into his intimate kiss, writhing and shuddering and howling as he simultaneously stroked that spot and sucked her clit and plucked at her nipples.

Ah yes, he had found those too.

This time when the crisis took her, her destruction was absolute.

Ecstasy, agony, mind-fucking-blowing pleasure flooded her.

She dissolved into insensible bliss, shaking and crying and thrilling to the exquisite torment he drew upon her.

  It seemed to last forever.

When she returned to herself, panting and whimpering, he was still lapping at her cunt. As though he never wanted to stop.

  She pulled him back.

She hated to pull him back—his ministrations were still sending ripples of pleasure through her—but there was something else she wanted.

  “Fuck me.”

  “What?”

“Fuck me, Jack. Your cock. Now.”

“Oh God.” He leaped up and ran from the room.

Sara froze. Her heart took a painful dive and landed flat on the pavement.

Todd had run, exactly like that.

  What the fuck?

Was there something that wrong with her?

Had she scared him that mu—

But he was back before her thoughts had time to take hold and in his hand… Ah. A foil packet.

  He remembered.

  Thank God.

Relief and delight and a fresh wave of anticipation inundated her.

He rearranged himself between her legs and bent his head again, soothing her pussy with long, slow strokes as he pulled down his sweatpants, releasing his cock—heavy, full and ready. He slipped on the condom and looked up at her.

His lips were damp—she loved that they were damp with her dew. His eyes were wide. Intent. The muscles of his cheeks bunched. “Are-are you ready?”

“Yes, Jack,” she said. “I’ve been ready for a while.” She spread her legs wider.

He rearranged her a bit and levered up on the sofa and took his cock in his hand, staring at it as he guided it to her channel.

She knew his length. Knew his girth. She’d measured him with her mouth earlier. But seeing it now—she shivered. He was quite well-endowed. She couldn’t wait to feel him inside her.

“God,” he hissed as the tip kissed her slick skin. “God.”

  He slipped in.

She groaned as he stretched her and then she garbled something incomprehensible as he filled her. It was… He was…

  “Oh Jack.”

“Yeah. Oh Sara. Yeah. Oh my God. So long. So fucking long.”

She had no idea what he was talking about but she hardly cared because he pulled out, a quick, desperate withdrawal, then shoved in. And again. And again. It felt so good she started to drool.

With each thrust, he reawakened that spot, the spot no one had ever found before, never touched. To her surprise, she felt it, the beast that had taken her before, hunting her again. Like a feral predator on the Serengeti, pleasure stalked her.

“Jack. Yes. Like that.” She wrapped her legs around his waist, guided him, urged him on.

He complied. His strokes became shorter, faster. Unbelievably, his cock swelled to an even greater girth inside her. Pleasure rained through her as he plagued that bundle of screaming nerves, rasping over it, teasing.

And then he changed angles, measured his plunges.

  And hit it.

  Head-on.

She exploded, fractured, spiraled out of control.

  It was so fucking good.

  Better than—anything.

As she came, he lost control as well. He stiffened, thrust again, hard. As his cum erupted, his cock jerked and railed and shuddered inside her. He groaned—a rumbling rattle of agony and bliss, hot against her neck—and collapsed.

She held him close though she was feeling boneless as well. They stayed that way for quite a while.

He recovered first, lifted his head and kissed her. “Sara.”

That one word said it all.

But she had the urge to add one more thing before they drifted off into a drowsy mist, wrapped in each other’s arms, tangled there on the comfy couch. “I’m so glad,” she said, “I didn’t go for the cheesecake instead.”

  Because seriously.

  Low-fat.

  Chapter Ten

Jack was late for work on Monday. He was never late. It kind of stuck in his craw.

But considering the reason he was late—waking up with Sara snoring in his arms and having to take her home so she could change her clothes…

  Yeah.

  Totally worth it.

After they’d made love on the couch the night before and snoozed there for a while, they’d moved the party into the bedroom. Like a love-starved swain—which he kind of was—he’d managed to make her come two more ti
mes and enjoyed a third glorious eruption of his own.

He kept running the list through his mind. Yeah. Three. First the blowjob in the hot tub. Then that time on the couch. Then once again in the bed—

Oh wait. Then the thing in the shower.

  Holy hell.

He’d never come so much. It was amazing he wasn’t dehydrated.

He couldn’t seem to get enough of her. Couldn’t get over the fact that this was real. It was really happening. Now. To him.

  It boggled the mind.

So it hardly mattered that for the first time ever he was late for work.

Sara was going to be late too. Jack had dropped her off at her place before heading for the office. They’d agreed it wasn’t a good idea to come in late together. Hopefully no one would notice and put two and two together.

Jack lucked out. He met no one on his way to the lab. He hunkered down on his ab ball and logged on to his laptop and tried to dive into his work, but he couldn’t focus. He kept thinking about Sara.

Tristan wandered into his office around ten with a pile of papers. Jack glanced up and offered a nod.

“Hi,” Tristan said with a distracted smile as if he’d forgotten something. Or was grappling with a thorny conundrum. “Have you…um…seen Jack?”

  Jack blinked. “What?”

“Jack Maris. You’re in his office.” Tristan’s eyes narrowed. He opened his mouth to say something else but Adam entered the lab just then.

“Hey, Jack—” He, also, stopped short. “Who the hell are you?”

They stared at him as though they’d never seen him before. Which was totally weird. They’d been friends for years. Seen each other every day for a decade.

  “Dudes. It’s me.”

Adam and Tristan exchanged a glance and then gawked at him some more.

  “Holy shit,” Adam hissed.

Tristan snorted and shook his head. “What the hell happened to you?”

Jack crossed his arms over his chest and glared at them. He didn’t like this attention. Besides, he didn’t look that different. “I got a haircut,” he grumbled.

Adam barked a laugh. “Dude, you got shorn.”

Tristan leaned in and thumbed his eyebrows. “These puppies are practically manicured.”

  “They were a little wild…”

Adam shook his head. “No. It’s more than a haircut. You’ve lost a lot of weight. How could you lose so much weight without anyone noticing?”

Tristan sucked his teeth. “Is that an argyle sweater?”

Jack ignored his business partners’ ribbing and broached a topic that had been bugging him for a while. About a month, in fact. “Have you ever thought about putting a workout room in the office?”

Adam’s and Tristan’s chins dropped. “That’s what it is,” Adam crowed. “You’ve been working out.”

Tristan was far more responsible and responded to Jack’s query. “There’s no room in the suite for a gym. We’re packed to the gills as it is.”

“The suite next door is for lease. They have a shower.”

“A gym?” Adam grunted in a tone Jack did not appreciate. His glare became a glower. Adam ignored it. “Holy crap, Jack. What’s happened to you?”

“Can’t you tell?” Tristan grinned like a monkey. “He’s getting laid.”

Adam gave Jack the once-over. “Oh. My. God. You’re right. Who?”

  “No clue but…good for her—”

Sara chose this moment to waltz into the lab. “Hey, Jack—” Adam and Tristan turned in tandem. Her steps faltered. A red tide rushed up her cheeks. “Oh. Sorry. I’ll come back later.”

She was gone before Jack could call her back.

Like evil twins, Adam and Tristan spun around to fix their gazes on him.

  “Sara?” Adam hissed. “Holy shit.”

“Is that what you called me about? Was she your date?”

Jack put out a lip. “MYOB.”

Tristan frowned. “This is my business. She’s my employee. Jack—you know the rules.”

He was referring to the rule that prohibited interoffice romance—a rule both Adam and Tristan had broken.

“Don’t even go there, Tris.” Jack stood and straightened his shoulders, making himself as tall as he could. He tipped back his head and peered down his nose at them both.

Tristan took a step back. “I’m not sayin’ nothin’.”

  “I should hope not.”

  “Just—be careful.”

Seriously? This from a guy who got so hot and bothered over his secretary that when he fucked her he forgot to slip on a condom? As her rounded belly proved? “Dude. I’m always careful.”

He was. He had used a condom.

He stilled. He’d used one the first time. Kinda forgotten in the heat of the night. And in the shower… But it didn’t matter. Unlike Shannon, Sara had the good sense to be on the Pill.

His thoughts stalled. He was pretty sure she was. He hoped she was. He made a mental note to ask her later.

Tristan shuffled his feet. “Well, okay then.”

“Yeah. Okay.” Jack tapped his toe. “Did you want something?”

The brothers exchanged a befuddled glance. “Oh yeah. Harper,” Adam said.

Tristan nodded. “Yeah. We wanted to talk about Harper.”

“Yeah. And we have a staff meeting.”

  “Yeah.”

  “Yeah.”

  * * * * *

Sara sat at the conference table, pretending to check messages on her phone. She was really watching for Jack.

They’d spent the night together, in each other’s arms. They’d only been apart for an hour or two and already she was getting impatient to see him.

Damn Adam and Tristan. They had lousy timing. She’d been dying to talk to Jack again and they’d been in his office.

And the three of them were late.

No one was supposed to be late to a Trillo-Maris staff meeting. Not unless they were bleeding from more than one orifice.

Or maybe Sara was early. She glanced at her watch but forgot to take note of the time.

  Where was he?

She nodded to Katherine and Shannon as they entered the room and made their way to the coffee bar but when Jenny floated in wearing a flowery sundress with no bra, thank you very much, Sara almost growled.

She watched Jenny surreptitiously, grappling with the prickling knowledge that Jack found her attractive. Of course he did. Jenny was footloose and wild. She was much prettier than Sara. Certainly skinnier. What would she think when she saw the new Jack? More to the point, how would he react when he saw that hunger in her eyes—for him?

If Jenny fell all over Jack, Sara might have to step in. And scratch her eyes out. She flexed her fingers in preparation.

When Jack entered the room with Adam and Tristan, Sara didn’t need to be told. She heard it, that great gushing sound as breaths around the table were simultaneously sucked in.

She looked up and saw him. And her heart stalled. Damn. He was hot. He shuffled to the coffee bar and got a cup of joe and then, as he always did, took the seat by her side.

Sara tried not to shoot a triumphant smirk at Jenny but failed.

Jenny didn’t notice. She was staring at Jack. “Jack,” she murmured. “You look so…different.”

Jack barely glanced at her but then he wouldn’t, as he was painfully shy around women. Well, some women. Women he wanted. He seemed fine around Sara. She frowned at the thought.

“Yeah, Jack.” Shannon’s lashes fluttered. Sara wanted to smack that expression out of her eyes. Even if she was pregnant. “Nice makeover.”

  “Thanks.”

Shannon shook her head. “How did you manage to lose so much weight?”

Jack turned to Sara, mutely asking for her permission. She nodded. “Sara gave me a regimen.”

  All eyes snapped to her.

  “A regimen?”

“Yeah.” He cleared his throat. “You know. Diet and exercise.”

&n
bsp; Jenny licked her lips. She appeared somewhat normal today. Her hair was kind of yellow and only a few studs speckled her nose. “How long have you been at it?”

  “A couple months.”

“Damn it!” Shannon grumbled. “It would take me a year to lose that much weight.”

Kat frowned. “You don’t need to lose weight.”

Shannon put a hand over her belly. “I will soon.”

Kat laughed And Sara tried to join in but Jenny was gaping at Jack and stroking her neck and the rage kind of distracted her.

“Hey, Jack,” Jenny said, and not in a normal way. It was “Hey, Jack” as in “I want to fuck you, Jack”, an I-want-to-crawl-over-the-table-and-put-my-mouth-on-you voice.

Sara didn’t like it. Not one bit.

“Yeah?” Jack didn’t sound enthralled. But that was Jack. He always pretended indifference with women he thought were hot.

Jenny fluttered her lashes. “After the meeting, can you help me configure Skype on my computer?”

Puh-leese. Like Jenny couldn’t do that herself? Sara snorted. Loudly enough, apparently, to catch Jack’s attention. He glanced at her.

“Sure.” He said the word slowly, as though tasting it. As he spoke he watched Sara’s face. Saw her frown…and he smiled. “After lunch maybe?”

And as easy as that, Sara’s day was ruined.

“What is going on?” With no preamble, Kat plopped down in Sara’s office chair and glared at her across the desk.

  “What?”

“What’s going on? Between you and Jack?”

  Sara blinked. “Nothing.”

“Nothing? Come on. I saw the way you were tracking his every move. I saw the way he was watching you.”

  “He was watching me?”

  “Um, like a hawk.”

The skin on the back of her neck prickled. “Was he watching Jenny too?”

“Jenny? What are you talking about? He’s always watched you. But today…something was different.”

He’d always watched her? Sara found that fascinating.

  But wait…

  “What was different today?”

“Like when Tristan put his hand on your shoulder when you were talking about Hansen?”

  “He did?”

“He did. And I thought Jack was going to bite it off.”

Sara didn’t remember any such thing. “Are you sure he wasn’t watching Jenny?”
