Diary of Jenny Parker

  As Jenny’s mother drives through the front passage that leads to their new house, Jenny spotted a young man in the neighborhood. He was staring from his window. He has shinning blue-white eyes like her father. He also has her father’s dimple cheeks too. Behold! As Jenny’s eyes met with his eyes, the young man gave a very handsomely warmth smile. And Jenny felt welcomed from afar. Jenny felt a wave of deep hearted love towards him. But whether it’s because he seems to possess her father’s facial look, or it’s just some platonic love, or her first love, she cannot tell! Perhaps, her love for him is all put together and should reveal it various colors in the future!

  Soon after Jenny and her mother walked into their new house with some of their personal luggage, Tom ran out. He ran to Mat’s house. Tom knocks on mat’s door. Mat opened.

  “Tom what the hell is chasing you this beautiful morning?”

  “A beautiful angel has come to our neighborhood, isn’t that wonderful that our wish has suddenly come to reality!” replied Tom.

  “I don’t understand Tom, how you mean?” asked Mat.

  “Now I know that you are dully. What there fuck you doesn’t understand. I mean a beautiful girl and her mother have arrived in the only unoccupied new house left in this neighborhood. And I think she likes me!” Tom replied.

  “How do you mean she likes you? Have you met with her?” asked Mat.

  “I just know that moron. It’s called love at first sight,” replied Tom. “Let’s go and break the good news to Sky. He must be very thrill,” said Tom.

  “Tom, I think you are saying she likes you just to keep Sky and I from her. It’s not fair!” said Mat.

  But Tom was silent. They got to Sky’s house and knock on the door. Sky came out.

  “What’s up guys? Ask Sky.

  “Sky, said Mat. Can you believe it”, Mat continued. “A beautiful girl just arrive the neighborhood. But Tom wants us to stay away from her that she likes him!”

  “Whoa!” Sky exclaimed. “You don’t mean it! do you say … a beautiful girl… in our neighborhood.”

  “And what’s that about Tom?” She belongs to us all till she can make her own choice among us right”, Sky demanded.

  So they all agreed to Sky’s terms.

  In that neighborhood, they are five new houses. The first house belongs to a young man of 25years called Mr. Frank Moore. The second house belongs to Mrs. Babera. The third house belongs to the Scot. The fourth house belongs to the Morgan. And the fifth house belongs to the Rice. Later that same night the mother of Tom, Mat and sky visited Mrs. Babera and Jenny. They went to extend their friendship.

  “We the mothers of this new neighborhood haves come to greet you madam”, said Tom’s mother.

  “I’m Mrs. Tina scot and my house is right next to yours.”

  “I’m Mrs. Mary Morgan and my house is the fourth block in this new neighborhood.”

  I’m Mrs. Betty Rice and my house is the last block in this new neighborhood.

  “I’m Mrs. Babera Parker and she is Jenny my daughter. You are all welcome to my house.”

  “What about your husband Mrs. Babera?” asked Tina.

  “My Husband just passed away”, answered Mrs. Babera.

  “We are very sorrow for your loss, Mrs. Babera”, the other women offered their condolences.

  “Your daughter is very pretty, Mrs. Babera”, said Mrs. Rice. “She is also of the same age with our boys who shall be entering senior high school this fall.”

  So too, is my Daughter Jenny,” replied Mrs. Babera. “As a matter of fact, she will be attending the city’s senior high school next fall.”

  “Very well then, Mrs. Babera and Jenny, we should be taking our leave now”, said Mrs. Morgan. “Our families must be waiting for us all.”

  “Goodnight!” replied Mrs. Babera and Jenny.

  On that same night, Tom is lying down. He’s thinking so much about this beautiful angel who’ve arrived the neighborhood.

  Tom is a very fairy white skin, white-brown hair and shining white eyes with fascinating dimples. He’s very inquisitive, curious and always eager to know like his mother. But unlike his mother, he’s very sensitive.

  Mat is at his study desk writing his music lyrics. He is very passionate about his music. He hopes to finish high school soonest. Then he shall travel to Los Angeles to make music for a career.

  Mat is small in size and an Africa American decent.

  Sky is keeping himself good looking for bed. He is creaming his self-proclaim precious skin. Combing is dark good looking curly hair and perfuming his night-clothing. All these, he must do before goings to bed. He’s such a funny Jack.

  Sky is tall. He’s well built in stature and good looking. He’s a very sensual individual, who believes he can get any girl he so desire.

  Now, the window of Jenny’s room is directly opposite that of Tom’s. They are both eager to see each other. Jenny is even more eager to known about this strange mystery of a boy. He’s got her father’s eyes and this is even like a trance to her. So she took that particular room, hoping she can at least see him tonight!

  And so as fate would have it, Tom was hoping the same thing. Always staring through his window, hoping to catch a glimpse of this beautify girl then he can go to bed with that image of her in his dreams!

  After many countless attempts, Tom never stopped hoping; hoping till sleep conquers his quest.

  Just about when sleep was gaining stronger momentum over Tom’s dying hope for the night, he forced himself to stare one last time.

  Behold! This time, Tom could see light coming from the room. His curiosity ignites and re-awakens his once seemingly dying hope. And his sleepiness was conquered.

  Then, Tom carefully studies the impact of the light.

  “Perhaps she just entered her room and put on the light”, Tom said to himself.

  But, after a while, the light goes off. So, Tom quickly puts on his light, “hoping that she might want to see what was happening at his end”, he thought.

  And behold! Tom could see the window curtain being pulled sideway from his opposite end.

  Tom tried extremely to catch any glimpse of person behind the curtain’s movement. He hoped it be her.

  Now, Tom had been staring empty shadows for about five to ten minutes, not giving up hope to see who is behind these shadows.

  Then, knowing his frustrations, Jenny puts on her light to see his reaction.

  As soon as Tom’s shinning blue white eyes meets Jenny’s big black eyes like Katy Perry, he melted. Tom realizing that this beautiful face had been watching him all these while he suddenly felt shy. Then, he quickly shut his window curtain.

  But, Jenny in her amusement kept looking at his window to see what next?

  Tom actually want to express his emotions with or without shame so when he realizes it, he quickly re-open his window curtain wide enough. Then he gave a gracious smile of being punked!

  But, Jenny stares focus at his beautiful smiles. Then she made signs to him to come over!

  “Oh, good God” Tom exclaimed “You’ve blessed my effort tonight”.

  Tom quickly puts on sweater on his pajamas. And he put on shoes on his already stocking feet. He gets himself out through his window. And he walks carefully and quickly to her window. When he got to Jenny’s window, she opened it for him to climb over into her room. But he stumbles into her room, hurting his right arm as he cloddishly allowed himself to fall on the floor.

  “Sorry dear! How you hurt?” she asked. But, Tom wanted to feel tough, so he responded by saying; “I can’t be hurt with an angel like you around me”.

  Nonetheless, Jenny insisted to rub his right arm with healing bam.

  “You don’t have to be tough, being simple and mature is better”, Jenny murmured.

  “I want to be the one robbing those beautiful arms of yours, not the other way round”, Tom replied teasingly. “I don’t know your name boy?” asked Jenny.

  “Forgive my manner” replied Tom. “I’
m Tom Scot. And it will be a wonderful reality to know you”.

  “That’s sweet”, she replied. “I’m Jenny Parker. I think I like your countenance and aura”.

  But Tom hasn’t stop staring at the beautiful big black eyes of Jenny since he enter her room. And when Jenny notices how much he’s being staring, she asked ironically. “Do my eyes scare you, Tom?”

  “Your eyes are too beautiful to scare me” replied Tom. “On the contrary, they inspire me to you”.

  “Your shinning white eyes caught my mind the first time I saw you”, Jenny confessed. “And when you smiled, your dimples caught my mind even more. I must say you have a fire burning eyes and I love it because they were like my father’s too”.

  “Are you saying I’m like a brother to you?” Tom asked for he isn’t that happy to be like a brother to her so he quickly said: “I want to be more than a brother, can’t you see?”

  When Jenny realized Tom’s deep love emotions, she simply said:

  “You’re many things to me Tom!”

  Now, Jenny wanted to change the mood of Tom, so she made a conscious game proposal to him:

  “Now, you and I can have a little night secret by sleeping at each other’s room at night, without the world knowing.

  “Whoa!” Tom exclaimed with a deep excitement. “No one should ever know just you and me.”

  When Jenny finished robbing Tom’s wrist she took off his sweater and shoes. She kept his shoes under her bed. Then she went behind her door and hung his sweater. But as she was about to pad-lock her door, suddenly, Tom exclaimed’ Gosh! I forgot to pad-lock mine!”

  “Whoa! This’d be interesting!” replied Jenny. “Tom, Let’s put our little night secret to the test of fate?’

  “How Jenny?” asked Tom.

  “Yo, I’m gonna leave my door unlock like you left yours unlock”, replied Jenny.

  “And if by morning our little night secret remains a secret, then fate is on our side. What do you think?”

  “I think it’s fabulous!” replied Tom. “Though I believed our hearts are meant for each other but it’s important that fate reconciles destiny. The destiny I feel for you!”

  And so it was that fate is on their side. Early next morning, Tom went back to his room. Day after day they continued their little night secret.

  In the fall, Jenny and Tom happen to be in the same science class. Mat and sky are in the social science class.

  Jenny and Tom also share the same career dream in the medical profession. They are particularly close in many ways. Tom is emotionally obsessed with their closeness, but Jenny is not at all emotional over Tom yet she likes him deeply. She enjoys spending time with him more than anybody else since they both met. She even calls him Tommy as a pet name sometimes, and Tom loved it.

  Chapter Four

  Three years on, and Jenny has become her good old looking self once again. She’s become very sweet and likeable by all in the neighborhood, all call her their daughter. She’s become the daughter they never had. They always want to have her in their homes any time, any day.

  And the boys are very pleased with her popularity and likeness in the neighborhood. They even instigate their mothers to invite her to their homes. Then, they get to want to be closer to her personally.

  Mr. Frank Moore and the other men in the neighborhood are also very fun of her too. The other men, all love her more like their daughter. But, Mr. Frank Moore loves her much more like his very own baby-sister. One, he never had because he’s also the only child of his parents back in Ohio.

  Mr. Frank grew up in Ohio where his parents live. He’s a soccer star and plies his trade with the L.A Galaxy. He’s a determine Midfielder and a very skillful one at that.

  He bought this place a year ago, where he can keep off from the game when the season ends.

  Jenny and the boys like him around because he very much inspires them to do exercises. Every morning at 6:00am to 6:30am, they exercise. They all set their alarms at six on the dot, accompany by his massive whistling calling them to come out for some exercise.

  On Saturday morning and Sunday evening, they play soccer at the plane field opposite their neighborhood. Jenny also plays with them by teaming up with Mr. Frank, up against the boys on small post.

  Mat is particularly attracted to him because of L.A. He also wishes to travel to L.A. to fulfill his career in music. He enjoys asking him about news and trends of musicians and movie stars. Mr. Frank is such an out-door guy who enjoys music and entertainment, especially hip hop.

  At school, Jenny has become Miss popular like Sky has become Mr. popular. Jenny’s likability has affected the entire school. Even teachers and the school authority like her. Sky’s sensual attraction has sparked wave across the female students in the school. And other male students are inspired by him as their role model of attracting the female students. Even girls desire him. And he very much enjoys the sensual powers which he possesses, and to be desired.

  Though, sky does not necessarily take undue advantages over girls because they so much like him. Or does he rob the guys of their girlfriends? No. But he does enjoy the glamour it creates for him.

  Yet this sensual reputation of his seems threatened by Jenny. Being Mr. Popularity while Jenny is Miss Popularity would arouse a relationship expectation by the entire school. But, Jenny never seems to be carried away by it, nor does she show any emotions for Tom in spite of their closeness.

  Now, sky is very much challenged by the fact that Jenny seems to be off the hook of sensual personality. He’s also challenge to bring out Jenny from the cocoon of her lockdown love emotions. Hopefully, if he can achieve that, then he can win her heart over Tom. Then she can be his idea girl friend at the prom. And this would most importantly protect and satisfy his ego more than anything else.

  Mat is the hip hop prodigy in school. He’s the second Mr. popular in school I suppose.

  He always roars the student populations with hip hop Jams and his own personal freestyles. He can rap hip hop songs both old and new very well. He enjoys entertaining the students if and when asked any time any day, with utmost pleasure and enthusiasm. Although he may not be as brilliant as the others, and for this reason he may not have attracted popularity among the teachers and school authority. He’s just an average students but with a prodigious ambition in music and entertainment.

  Tom is a very brilliant dude. He’s very committed to his studies. He’s a simple but conservative individual. He’s not a much socialized person; therefore, he’s not very popular among the students. Nonetheless, he’s very popular among teachers and the school authority.

  But for Sky and Jenny, they’ve earned their Mr. & Miss. Popularity in school because they are brilliant. And they are the leaders of the football team and cheer-leader team respectively.

  However, Tom is not at all troubled by the popularity-tie of Jenny and Sky. He’s not all bothered because at their neighborhood this misconception seized to exist. It’s like in the imagination of the beautiful mind Jenny and Sky are considered the ‘beautiful match’. But in the reality of the beautiful heart Jenny and Tom are considered the ‘good match’.

  These are two worlds, one is the ‘beautiful mind’ and the other is the ‘reality heart’.

  And now Sky desires this beautiful mind where he and Jenny can actually fulfill the expectations of the entire school of becoming the role model love birds. But most importantly, his sensual pride will be protected before all the female and male students alike.

  On the contrary, for the first time in his life he’s afraid of asking a woman like Jenny out, for fear of her rejection. She isn’t infatuated by his sensual attraction. She doesn’t show her emotions of soft spot at all. Perhaps, she knows how to hide them from everyone.

  Sky’s ego has consumed him like never before. It’s driving him to the possible point of hate on Tom, which for God knows why he thinks Tom actually is the problem.

  “For God’s sake”, cried Sky. “What magic does Tom has on Jen
ny that she seems to be closer to him than Mat and I”.

  “Tom is never known in school like the three of us. People just think he’s a hand bag among us because we all live in the same neighborhood. What an irony at home! He’s more of a friend to her than Mat and I. but at school it’s different? Jenny is a two face girl at home and at school. And she is playing her game so naturally and perfectly”.

  Later that night, Sky situation gave him sleepless night. “I’m really threatened by Jenny’s personality. It’s all telling that I can’t sleep!

  My Pride in school is very much at stake! Now I get to find a way to exploit her personality, or at least gain some control over her. Perhaps, this was exactly what Tom did. And now he seems to gain some control over her at home than at school.

  What kind of control is that? I’m pretty confusing myself. But it does worth something for him I guess.

  Come to think of it, Jenny is not Tom’s girlfriend. The world knows that if she was then Tom should be bothered about everyone’s remark about us in school.

  Whoa! I know what to do”, Sky rethought a way forward.

  The next morning Sky looks his very best attraction. He’s so blooming with excitement. He’s first to get ready for school for he woke up quite early to prepare. He couldn’t wait on table for breakfast!

  Quickly, He goes to wait on the others at Jenny’s place when they used to wait on him at his. He gets to Jenny’s house, and knocks at the door. Jenny comes and opens the door.

  “Sky! Are you crazing ready for school this early morning?”

  “I bet you that I’m”, replied Sky. “Common, don’t you like my new attitude, and check outs my new looks” for overnight, this dude has change his hair color to that of Tom’s.

  “You can come in Sky”, said Jenny. “Thank you and thank you once more if you do like my new hair”, replied Sky.

  And when Tom came in to Jenny’s house, he’s pretty surprise to see Sky already there. He became even more surprise at Sky’s new look.

  “Man! Are you alright this morning, Sky?” asked Tom. “How do you mean dude”, replied Sky (sarcastically).
