Mad About The Dragon: A Paranormal Shifter Romance (Dragon In My Heart Series Book 1)

Utterly naked before him as he came to his knees, Maia looked down at her lover with all the desire in the world resting in her eyes. She tenderly bit her bottom lip, watching as Ignacio placed kiss after gentle kiss to her hip bones. A wash of goosebumps covering her skin when his lips began to find purchase even lower.
He closed his eyes, his mind focused on the feel of her body against his lips. He felt the curve of her hip bones, moving lower inch by inch until he found himself between her thighs. His hands slid up along her legs and around to her ass, his fingers gripping her firmly as he buried his face between her thighs. Maia responded with a soft, moaning gasp and spread her legs for him, her hand at his head gripping a fistful of his short, dark hair. She felt his tongue slip out and slide faintly along her pussy, teasing with the promise of searching deeper.
“Oh, Ignacio…” She breathed, closing her eyes as she felt his tongue probe deeper into her, searching for that tender little pink mound even as she moaned softly already.
She felt herself growing wet at his touch, her body aching for more as his mouth both teased her and gave her pleasure like she had never felt. His lips knew just where to kiss, his tongue knew just where to lick, and her body trembled each time. When his tongue found her clit, he moaned in pleasure himself, the vibration of it sending a thrill up through Maia that escaped in the form of yet another gasp. Her body tensed, and she held his head all the firmer.
He worked her with his mouth for some time, pressing his tongue flat against that sensitive mound to rub long and slow…making her moan and beg him to never stop. He then brought one hand around from its place of holding firm to her ass, sliding it up along her inner thigh so his fingers might join the fun. Gently, they slipped along that wet slit, slowly drawing back and forth as his tongue pressed and stroked her clit. When he felt her hips begin to rock against him, he slid two fingers up into her, gently massaging her from the inside as he coaxed her towards greater and greater pleasure. Her knees grew weak and she moaned low and long.
“I need you inside of me, Ignacio,” Maia gasped, opening her eyes to look down at him. “Make love to me.”
Her request was a command he would follow until the day he died. With one last little moan against her pussy, he slid his fingers from her, flicked his tongue against that tender, swollen mound one more time and then leaned back. Those amber eyes rose up to look at her, enamored with the breathless look of pleasure on her face. Reaching up, he took her hand and guided her down to the ground with him.
He lay back, and Maia lowered herself on top of him. As she did, her eyes fell across his body, licking her lips at the sight of his chest, his strong stomach and the line of desire drawn by his hipbones. When her eyes landed on his dick, she purred a little, a smile settling across her face. He was perfect. Large enough to touch every single inch of her but not a bit more than she could handle. Her knees came down on either side of his hips, her hands reaching to slid along his chest as she lowered herself towards him.
She felt the tip of his dick brush and rub against her wet and ready slit and she moaned, curling her bottom lip in to bite down on it as she slowly began to rock her hips…rubbing herself against him. The feel of that thick, solid member sliding against her clit slowly made her shudder and lean down close against his chest. His hands went to her hips, holding her as she rocked against him, his own hips falling into sync as he watched her moan and writhe in pleasure on top of him.
Maia couldn’t take it any longer and shifted her hips, bringing the tip of his cock up against her before slowly sinking herself down onto him. She felt a burst of ecstasy when the head of his dick pushed into her and cried out in pleasure as he slid into her up to the hilt. Staying there a moment, his cock buried deep inside of her as she shuddered and slowly sat up straight. Her eyes opened, and she just stared down at him, a pleased little smile on her face.
“I love you,” she said, her hips slowly starting to rock against him.
“And I love you, Maia,” he rumbled in response.
His hands slowly slid up the curve of her hips, moving up her slender waist until they found those pert breasts. He gently held them, rubbing and caressing as their hips moved in rhythm with one another. His thumbs found her nipples and gently teased them, brushing across them with the faintest of touches.
Maia threw back her head and moaned, his hands across her body combined with the feel of his rock-solid dick sliding in and out of her was almost overwhelming and she wanted as much of it as she could possibly get. At the sight of her desire, Ignacio slid his hands around to her back and slowly sat up, his hips never faltering as they thrust upward to drive himself into her over and over. He loved the feel of her on top of him, riding him as she rolled her hips and ground herself down hard against him. He needed to taste her, and leaned close to bring his lips to the curve of her neck. She thrilled at his touch, letting her arms fall around his shoulders as she continued to ride him, the mountains surrounding them and the morning light bathing the landscape in soft pinks and oranges. The moment was perfect, their pleasure was intense and the love they felt for one another seemed to be painted in the sky as the rising sun splashed across it.

As Maia lay in his arms under the early morning clouds, she began to wonder what their next step was going to be. She had no idea where they were exactly and that wasn’t even the worst of their situation. She lay in his arms and simply worried. Worried that they wouldn’t find their happy ending anytime soon.
Ignacio could tell something was bothering her as they lay in one another’s arms, simply by the way she twitched and shifted her feet around against his. Turning his head a bit, he glanced down towards her for a moment before finally speaking up in a soft, warm voice.
“Everything alright?” He knew it was a stupid question the moment he asked it.
“No,” she answered, her voice slightly strained. “No, everything's not alright. What are we going to do now?”
He was about to answer but she didn’t give him much of a chance before she was sitting up and looking down at him, answering her own question with more questions. Each one seemed to upset her more and more.
“We have no idea where we are,” she stated. “We have no money, no food and barely one set of clothing between the two of us.”
Her voice was growing unsteady, wavering as her emotions started to well up in her throat. With each thought and worry that passed through her mind she felt herself growing more and more uneasy. She clung to hope, but it was threatening to slip from her grasp.
“How are we going to do this, Ignacio?” She asked in a whisper, her eyes finding his. “How are we going to survive and not get caught again? What happens if we do get caught? Those fucks who abducted us aren’t going to be happy the next time they get their hands on us.”
He sat up slowly, bracing his weight with one arm as he reached to brush his hand across her cheek with the other. The pain on her face and in her voice almost ripped him apart and he wanted nothing more than to take away the worry that plagued her.
“I won’t let that happen, Maia,” he said, whispering it to her as a promise. “We’re going to be safe.”
“How?” She begged, getting the sense that his calm nature was because he knew something.
“I know people down here. People who will helps us, hide us and make sure we stay safe,” he told her, sitting up fully beside her in order to slide an arm around her waist.
“People? What people?” She asked, turning to look at him. “Don’t leave me in the dark. I need to know…who are you talking about?”
He hesitated a moment, but he knew she was right. It would do neither of them any good for him to keep it from her. The only way they were going to manage surviving and securing a happy life to one another was if they shared everything.
“My brother, Rafael,” he told her. “My older brother, to be specific.”
Maia just looked at him, patiently waiting for more.
She wondered if his brother was a dragon as well…or if Ignacio’s talents were unique to him alone. It was a curious question, but she knew if she just stared at him long enough he would answer it on his own. She was right.
“Normally, we try not to spend too much time around one another since things tend to…get a bit heated,” he told her, trying to joke but not really feeling it. “Too much fire in one place isn’t a very good thing. But he will help us, give us what we need to keep on moving and find a place all our own.”
She sat there silently for a brief time, her eyes lowering to the ground as she thought over everything he had just told her. The reality of the situation came rushing to her as she sat there. She was in love with a man who was a dragon, a real dragon, and they were on the run from what she could only guess was the US Government because her lover had created a massive desert of glass for her. Now, across the border in Mexico, they sat naked in the mountains discussing plans to meet with yet another dragon to continue their trek to…somewhere. She had no idea. Her eyes went wide and she brought a hand to her forehead and laughed softly.
“Wow,” she said before she even realized it. “I never thought I would be traveling through Mexico to look for a dragon…”
He laughed, slipping both of his arms around her now in a warm embrace. Resting his head against her shoulder he simply sat there with her for a moment, breathing deeply against her hair. He loved her strength, even in the strangest of circumstances, she remained herself. He doubted he would ever find the words to express how deep his love for her was.
“Well, at least you have a dragon of your own,” he told her. “I think it’s time we start moving. The city of Ensenada is going to take us a day to reach from here.”
“Ensenada?” She asked him, starting to climb to her feet as he released his arms from around her. “Is that the city along the coast I saw when we landed?”
“Yea.” He nodded. “Nice little place. My brother has lived here for a long time now. He has the connections to help us better than anyone.”
The way he spoke of his brother made Maia wonder if he was at all happy to be tracking him down. Ignacio seemed less than thrilled from his tone. Sibling rivalry? Was Ignacio just the baby of the family and his big brother was kind of a dick? She wouldn’t be surprised, considering how sweet Ignacio was.
They rose from the ground and brushed themselves off best they could. But they still had the problem of only one set of ‘scrubs’ between them. It wouldn’t do them much good to have either her or Ignacio walking into town buck naked. But, she thought, it wouldn’t be too out of the ordinary for them to be…half naked. Right?
The next hour was spent with Ignacio pacing around in the nude while Maia ripped and tied that set of scrubs into something totally new. Taking a semester of costume design had been a huge help throughout her life and was proving itself right now all the more. When she was done, Ignacio had himself a pair of shorts, Maia sported a cute mini skirt that tied at both of her hips and a tube top. They looked like a cute couple in home-made bathing suits and considering it was a coastal town they were headed to, it would totally work. Proud of herself, she beamed at her lover, giving him a twirl before striking a pose with her hands on her hips and a giant grin on her face.
“Well,” she said. “What do you think? I’m pretty sure no one will bat an eye so long as we act casual. Like we’re supposed to be here, yanno?”
He just smiled. She was beautiful, as always, and she continued to surprise him with her talents and how utterly amazing she was. He realized he would give anything to keep by her side. No questions asked.
“They look amazing, Maia. I’m sure a couple of the tourist ladies will want to know where we bought them.” He paid her the compliment with a bright smile on his face. A smile she returned with a little mock curtsey.
Ignacio held out his hand to her and she took it, their fingers intertwining with a gentle squeeze of reassurance from both of them. In their new duds, hand in hand, they started their trek down from the mountains and into the city of Ensenada. Maia hoped that what they were able to find there would truly be able to help them. Ignacio’s brother, Rafael. Even though he didn’t seem excited about it, Ignacio hadn’t shown any signs of apprehension about going to see him and so Maia trusted that it would be safe. Besides, if Rafael was a Dragon just like Ignacio…he would need to have his own safety precautions. It shouldn’t be that difficult for them to borrow a bit of that safety for a short time.
The sun continued to rise against their backs, sending their shadows reaching out ahead of them towards the coastal city. The warmth of the sunlight lifted their spirits as they walked. Ensenada could be a city of freedom for them. A place that represented the gates leading towards their new life. A life that they could spend together, without fear or worry, in love and happiness. Maia held tight to her lover’s hand, her heart swelling and her mood growing happier with each step closer to the pacific. The sight of this ocean had signaled new beginnings and a better life for so many others in the past. Why couldn’t it be the same for them? It would be. There was no question because Maia was determined to have that kind of happiness for them. If anyone deserved it, they did.
