My phone dinged softly beside us. With my eyes closed, I reached out and grabbed it, looking at who had texted.

I could have sworn I felt Adam tense as I read Matt’s name and number. I swallowed dryly as I unlocked the screen and stared at the text message. I was going to feel like a douche if he wanted to hang out. Right now, it was just the usual “hi, how’s it going,” sorta thing, but if that led to “do you wanna hang?” and I had to turn him down for the third week in a row, I knew Matt wasn’t going to forgive me for it. Last weekend, he hadn’t been happy at all, but I couldn’t risk just up and leaving Adam; it had been right after we ran into Kurt.

“Boyfriend texting?” he asked, his voice strained.

“Last I checked my boyfriend is beside me.” It came out before really thinking about it, and I knew the second I said it that it had been a stupid thing to say, but it was too late. I couldn’t take it back. I stiffened, holding my breath as I waited to see what he would say or do. He did nothing. He didn’t say a word, and he didn’t move at all. He just sat there for several seconds.

“You’ve never been camping, right? I knew it was a rhetorical question, so I just nodded. I looked up, pushing myself away from him. His eyes sparkled. “Come on,” he said as he stood up and held his hand out for me.

I took it. “Where are we going?”

Without saying a word, he led me to the door and outside. The sun was long gone, and the stars were out. I stared out into the sky, taking everything in. “Wow.” I looked around. It was amazing how many stars were out there. I’d never had a chance to see anything like this. It was amazing.

I let him pull me along, not really paying attention to where we were going. I felt sand against my bare feet, still staring up at the sky. The soft sound of water was what made me finally look down.

We were at the beach. I looked around. “What’s up?” I asked as he let go of my hand and reached for his shirt. I watched as he pulled it over his head and dropped it on the ground.

He turned to face me. “Have you ever been skinny dipping?” His eyes sparkled.

“Uh, what? No.” My cheeks burned as I watched him reach for his jeans. I looked away from him.

“Well, are you going to come with me?”

I swallowed dryly. Was I? I mean, it was something I’d always said I wanted to do … but with him? I bit my lip. I should. I’d regret it if I didn’t. Anyways, did it matter if he saw me naked? I mean, it’s not like he hadn’t seen loads of naked girls before. I pulled my shirt off without thinking. I’d always been confident enough in my upper body, it was my lower body I wasn’t so confident in.

My bra came off in a fraction of a second, and I glanced up just in time to see his jeans hit the sandy beach. My heart skipped a beat, and I didn’t dare look at him as I undid my jeans. This is fucking crazy. But it was going to be an experience, right? And really, would I ever have this chance again? I shoved my jeans down my body and stepped out of them, my thumbs hooking around my panties.

They were the only thing keeping me close to clothed, and once I shed them …

“Are you coming?” he called, already at the edge of the water.

“Yes!” I shoved my panties down my legs, jumped out of them and rushed for the water where I could be slightly covered. He was already wet and waiting for me a few yards into the water when I jumped in. I swam out to meet him, my heart racing. His eyes sparkled in the moonlight as he trod water.

The truth was, I was so focused on treading water myself that I wasn’t paying any attention to him at all, even though I knew he was naked.

“I have to admit, this is something I’ve wanted to cross off my bucket list.”

“I never actually thought I’d do this,” I admitted.

“I’m glad I had someone to do it with.” He gave me a wide grin, his eyes locking on mine.

Despite the fact that I was naked under the water, I didn’t see his eyes waver. My heart raced as we trod water.

We didn’t stay in the water for very long. The truth was, with the sun gone, it was cold in the water, and while the idea of skinny dipping seemed fun, it wasn’t while you were freezing your naked ass off.

“Alright, I’m getting out,” I said, “been there, done it. Cool, but I’m cold.”

Adam laughed as he fell into pace with me and we made our way slowly back to the shore. We swam in silence, but it wasn’t awkward. It was actually really nice.

When I hit ground, I made my way out of the lake as fast as I could. It wasn’t until the air touched my bare skin that I remembered I was naked and that he was standing right beside me.

“Not to be a perv, but you’ve got a really nice ass.”

My heart skipped a beat. I wasn’t sure if I was thrilled about the compliment or if I should smack him over the head. “Saying ‘not to be a perv’ doesn’t make it any better. But … uh, thanks.”

He laughed softly as he picked up our clothes, and we headed for the house, walking a little faster than either of us usually did. When we got inside, we were met with warmth. A shiver ran down my spine as I stood there, dripping wet.

“Hang on ... I’ll grab us a towel.”

  “Yea.”

I watched as he padded into the bathroom. When he came back, it was impossible not to stare. Despite the fact that he had a towel on, it wasn’t hard to tell—he was hard. I swallowed, forcing myself to look away from him. It’s not like he’d like you staring at him. I reminded myself. I caught his eye for a fraction of a second, and his gaze roamed over my body. To my surprise, I didn’t mind that he was staring at me. He handed me a towel.

“Thanks,” I said, wrapping it around himself. I bit my lip, still looking away from him.

He stepped towards me. My heart skipped a beat as he stood there, so close to me. My eyes locked on his, and for a fraction of a second, I thought he was going to reach out and touch me.

I won’t lie, a small part of me was disappointed when he didn’t.

“That was fun,” I said, trying to break the silence that consumed us.

“I know, I had a lot of fun, and a great view.” His eyes sparkled. I was utterly aware that he had seen every inch of me naked. My cheeks flushed. Maybe I shouldn’t have done it, I thought, already second guessing my choices. “Go warm up by the fire. I’ll be right there.”

I did as I was told as he headed for the bedroom that I’d put our bags in. My heart raced as I thought about the way he had looked at me.

I sat down in front of the fire, my towel undoing itself a little but still staying up. The heat warmed my front as I stared at the flames. All in all, this would actually be a romantic date if we were actually dating. I mean, a fire and skinny dipping? Isn’t that the stuff movies were made up of? The only thing that had been missing was the walk along the beach at sunset. Something I would gladly pass on.

I felt something warm against my shoulder and turned to see Adam sitting down beside me. A blanket covered my shoulders. He reached out, pulling some over for himself and joining me under them. Yup, romantic is one word for it.

He stared at me for several seconds, and I stared back. The longer he looked at me, the faster my heart raced.

“What?” Finally, I couldn’t take it any longer.

“What? Oh, um …” his cheeks flushed. Why is he blushing? “Look, I know that … we’re not actually together … but …” He trailed off as he looked away from me. I watched for him to finish his sentence. The longer he took, the faster my heart raced.

  Thump. Thump. Thump.

He turned back to face me, his fingers brushing over my cheek. He moved closer to me. So close that our lips were a fraction of an inch away from each other.

“Fiona, I know you’re just my pretend girlfriend, but can I kiss you?”

My heart did a backflip. “Yes,” I answered before really thinking about it.

His fingers tangled into my damp hair, and his eyes locked on mine as he pulled me closer to him, our lips meeting.

White hot passion flooded through his lips. He hadn’t asked to kiss me before. He’d just done it. My heart raced as I reached out, my hand touching his muscular chest softly. A moan passed through my lips as our kiss deepened.

His free hand traced over the curves of my body. This time, he didn’t stay a respectable distance from anywhere too mature. His hand traced over my hips and down my legs. His skin warm against mine. My moan deepened as his teeth grazed my lower lip.

Wait. What was I doing? This was … Adam. My brother’s friend, my employer’s son. What was I getting myself into?

Adam pulled away from our kiss, and his hands tightened on my thigh. Our eyes locked as he pulled me onto his lap.

I could feel his hard on through the fabric of the towel. My towel fell, pooling around my hips as my legs shifted, straddling Adam.

His eyes tore away from mine, staring at my breast. I swallowed dryly as his hand traced up the curves of my body to my breast. I moaned as he grabbed one softly, massaging gently.

My fingers pressed into his skin as desire pooled in the pit of my stomach. His lips touched my neck, trailing softly. I moaned louder.

I pulled away from him, pushing him softly down onto the floor. His eyes sparkled as he stared at me.

“Two weeks ago, you told me to leave you alone unless I was going to suck you off.” His cheeks turned a deep shade of red. I hadn’t been trying to make him blush. I shifted against his legs, reaching for the towel and pulling it away from him. I looked up at him, my eyes locking on his. I smirked. “I don’t plan on leaving you alone this time.”

My lips lowered to his hard cock.

He gasped as I took him into my mouth. His fingers tangled into my hair as his hips arched. I didn’t have much experience with boyfriends, but it’s not like I’d never watched porn. I sorta had an idea what I was doing here. I took him as deep as I could, moaning softly.

  “Fuck, Fiona,” he rasped.

His fingers tightened in my hair, and my heart raced as I mouthed him. He took over, guiding my head up and down. Faster and faster. Something close to a growl passed through his lips softly. He stopped, his body tensing.

I pulled away from him. His eyes locked on mine as he reached for my hand, his fingers curling around my wrist and pulling me towards him. His lips crashing against mine, heart racing.

He shifted under me. I could feel his hard cock against my folds. “What if I’d rather you ride it?” His teeth grazed my lip softly. I moaned.

My heart did a double backflip. I never thought he would be the one. I hadn’t thought about that in a long time.

My heart raced faster as I felt him press into me, and I bit back a cry as pleasure and pain overwhelmed me. My eyes closed as I tried to force myself to relax.

He paused, and I pulled away from him.

I opened my eyes to see him staring at me, watching me carefully. I took a couple of breaths, trying to still my racing heart.

His eyes locked on mine, but I couldn’t meet his gaze. “Fiona … how many guys have you been with?”

My cheeks burned, answering his question for me. I didn’t dare meet his gaze.

  “Does it matter?”

He grabbed my wrist, pulling me down towards his chest. I gasped as he rolled me onto my stomach. “Yes.” He settled between my legs. I could feel his head against my folds.

“Why?” I snapped. “So you can gloat?”

He stood without a word, and I watched as he walked away. My heart raced. I didn’t get it. I lay there utterly still, unable to think about what he was doing. He strode into the bedroom without a word to me.

Seconds later, he came out holding a small blue foil package. Relief filled my body as it all made sense. He settled down between my legs again and tore into the package. I watched as he slipped the condom on. “I’m guessing it’s safe to assume you’re not on anything?” He raised an eyebrow but didn’t wait to get an answer. “Either way, this will make it easier if you’re not used to it.” His hands traced over my thigh towards my pussy. He slipped a single finger inside me, and I gasped as my hips arched. “Though you shouldn’t need any extra lube,” his eyes sparkled as his finger slipped out of me, “and it does matter.”

He grabbed my hand, our fingers entwining as he pinned my hand down softly against the wood floors. His head pressed against my folds again, and this time he slid into me softly.

A moan passed through my lips. It wasn’t as painful this time. More pleasure.

His lips touched my neck softly. “Everyone deserves to have a good first time. If I hadn’t known, I might have gotten too self-centered. Too rough with you.”

  “Who says I mind rough?”

He pulled away from me and thrust back in softly. Each thrust was measured and gentle.

“We’ll have lots of time to work out all your kinks.” His eyes shone.

  My heart skipped a beat.

  Stroke. Stroke. Stroke.

Soft and slow but getting harder and faster. With each thrust my body relaxed, getting more accustomed to the new feeling. Each thrust brought less pain and more pleasure.

  I bit back a moan.

His lips touched my jawline softly. “Moan for me,” he whispered, “it’s okay to be as loud as you want.”

His words set my heart racing. I moaned, louder than I ever thought I would. My cheeks flushed.

  Stroke. Stroke. Stroke.

He thrust into me faster and faster. Harder and harder.

There was no more pain. It was all pleasure.

I reached up with my free hand, my fingers digging into his muscular chest. He sucked in a deep breath, his eyes rolling back.

He took my hand from my chest and moved it. For a split second, I thought I’d done something wrong, but that wasn’t it at all.

“Play with yourself.” He whispered, his eyes locking on mine.

  “What about you?”

“What about me?” His eyes sparkled. “You don’t think I’ll get off on watching you touch yourself?”

I honestly had no clue what he would get off on. My fingers circled my clit. I moaned, my eyes rolling back.

  “Oh fuck,” I gasped.

My hips rose to meet his every thrust, my fingers massaging my clit in rhythm with his thrusts. Everything went a hazy white.

  Stroke. Stroke. Stroke.

Faster and faster. Harder and harder.

The new pace was enough to send me over the edge. I gasped, my fingers squeezing his as a wave of pleasure surged through my body. My hips arched, bucking against his as my toes curled.

  Stroke. Stroke. Stroke.

  Faster and faster.

Wave after wave of pleasure surged through me. His free hand reached out and grabbed my hip, pulling me closer to him.

He crashed into me, letting out a gasp. Again. And again.

As the waves of pleasure subsided inside me, Adam came to a stop, still inside me. My eyes flickered open just as his did. A soft grin spread over his lips. He pulled away from me and stood up, heading for the garbage. I bit my lip, watching him.

How is this going to change things? I wondered. I honestly wasn’t too sure I wanted an answer to that, but I knew that, in a way, it was too late to worry too much about what had just happened. It had happened and now … now things had changed, no matter how much I wanted to deny it. He came back over to me and lay down on the blankets that had once been covering us. He reached out, his hands tracing over my belly as I lay there. His eyes sparkled as he stared at me. I couldn’t tell what he was thinking, and that annoyed the hell out of me. What if he were thinking about how bad I’d been? Or what if he were thinking about a way to use this to his advantage? Is he really that low a person? I wondered. I mean, I honestly had no clue, but he did have his nice moments. He did come to take care of me while I was sick, right? That had been him being nice. There hadn’t been any other motive there, had there?

Finally, I couldn’t take it anymore.

  “What?”

&n
bsp; He just smiled. “I was thinking about you.”

  “What about me.”

  “That I hadn’t realized you were …”

“Well, it wasn’t really something you asked before you asked me to become your pretend girlfriend,” I pointed out.

“I know, I just figured …” He trailed off and looked away from me. “I mean, it’s not like you’re ugly or something.”

“Have you met my brother? I mean, he knows the deal with us, and he’s still checking in.”

  “He knows everything?”

“Well, not everything, but he knows we’re not together. He knows it’s just an act.” I paused, “He sure won’t be knowing everything about this weekend,” I muttered.

“That … would be very much appreciated.” I gave him a soft smile as he paused for a couple of seconds. “But, I mean you’re really not ugly. I mean, you’re …” he sighed, “you’re beautiful, so I can’t imagine why a guy would let your brother get in the way of that. It’s not like guys aren’t used to dealing with crazy brothers from time to time.”

  He thought I was beautiful?

It shocked me. Not because it was Adam who had said it, but because no one had. I mean sure, Josh had, but he was my brother. It was his job to say shit like that, right? I stared at him. That shouldn’t be the only thing I take away from what he just said. I knew it should have been the least important thing I paid attention to.

I shrugged. “I guess guys aren’t willing to deal with it.”

“Still, it’s not like you have a sign on your head that says ‘Beware: Crazy brother’ you would think …”

“I guess a lot of guys don’t think I’m pretty.” I shrugged. Anyways, I didn’t have time for boyfriends. I mean, it was just a waste of time. Something that would only get in my way. Although the sex would be a nice aspect to it, I thought, not even slightly embarrassed. What I’d felt … it had been unlike anything I’d felt before, and I wasn’t ashamed to admit that.

I turned to Adam and gave him a soft smile. “So why don’t you have a real girlfriend?”

  “What?”
