Claiming Addison: 69 Bottles #1
Page 25
“We don’t pay Eddie now.”
“That’s my point. Thought it might be something to discuss with the guys. Eddie busts his ass around the venues. Might want to make it official.”
“Yeah, okay, I’ll think about it. Anything else?” he asks, which is what I was waiting for.
“I don’t know whether to tell you now or wait for Addison.”
He gives me that look like I’ve lost my mind and I know I have because that’s hot. “Well, you seem to be better at convincing her than I can. So I’ll tell you then you can tell her.”
“Tell me what.” Busted.
“Nothing.” I look up and fall to my knees, yes, I’m being dramatic, but fuck me.
“Fuck me!” Talon breathes harshly.
Addison blushes but does a twirl around and I blink rapidly.
“You’re damn lucky we have to go,” I growl at her.
She’s wearing the open back purple number, skin tight black skinny jeans accented by the purple Louboutins. “Come on, it’s not that…”
“Shut up,” Talon growls playfully at her. “You’re fucking gorgeous.” He turns to me. “We need to get out of here before we rip that off of her.”
“Down, boys,” she says very commandingly and something about the way she does it is very settling to me. Talon too. “So what are you not telling me?” She looks very pointedly at me.
I can’t deny her anything. “They want 69 Bottles in New York the day after the Boston show.”
“We’re already going to be there for a week.” She scrunches her eyebrows at me, puzzled.
“Yes, but we have Sunday through the first show on Thursday as down time, it is the only significant down time we have until the tenth week. Which is being cut short by Denver.”
“So why New York?” Talon asks, moving me along.
“Because they refuse to wait any longer than that to put the two of you in the studio for ‘Your Eyes’.”
“No fucking way,” Talon balks with excitement.
Addison rolls her eyes. “They’re never going to give up, are they?”
“Hey, you should be lucky they’re letting you wait that long.”
“Why?” She asks.
“Because ‘Your Eyes’ is currently sitting at number one on Billboard,” I say with a big ass fucking grin on my face. Talon on the other hand is stunned stiff. Addison collapses onto the couch in front of her desk.
“I bet they’re disappointed it’s only Talon singing,” she teases.
I smile. “Probably, which is why the label wants you in the studio as soon as possible. They’re emailing a contract to Cami, I have no doubt that she will discuss it with you tonight.” She nods her understanding and we both stare at Talon who hasn’t moved.
“Hey, big man.” Addison says getting up from the couch and going to stand in front of him. “Hey there,” she says when she falls into his line of sight. “You with me?” She waits for a reply and doesn’t get one. “Talon, baby, look at me.” I watch his eyes shift. “Hi there, big guy. How you doing?”
“I, fuck, did he really just say what I thought he said?” Talon squeezes out on one breath.
“Which part, baby? The recording or the Billboard ranking?”
“Billboard.”
“Yes, Talon. 69 Bottles has a number one hit.”
Just like that he unfreezes, scooping her up into his arms, wrapping them tightly around her midsection. She winces in pain because he’s got her right on the ribs. “Ow! Baby, you’re amazing and I’m so proud of you, but ow.”
“Shit shit shit, I’m sorry, I, fuck, are you okay?” He looks so flustered, a first for Talon.
She laughs. “I’m fine. Let’s go tell the boys.”
She tugs him toward the door. “No.” He stops her. “I’ll clear it with Cami, but I want to tell them tonight at dinner.”
She nods. “Well then, let’s go.” He pulls her back, wraps his arm around her back and kisses the top of her head.
“I love the shoes,” he says. “I don’t have to lean over so far to kiss you.”
She smacks him playfully. “I’m not that short.”
Talon and I both huff together and she busts out laughing.
We leave the suite to find the bodyguards, Peacock and Mouse. After a few heartbeats, Dex comes out of his room. He looks beat up. No doubt the last couple of days have been tough on him. I put my arm around his shoulders.
“You alright?” I ask.
“Yeah, mate. I’ll be alright.”
Mills goes over our plan for tonight. Since we’re all going together, Mills has agreed to let us stay in the hotel for tonight, but without exception everyone has to be downstairs ready for the cars to take us to the buses at five a.m.
Everyone agrees and we set off for the dinner party with Cami and Tristan. With excellent news in our hands, I refuse to share the bad news I’ve just received today. It’s too good of a day to bring down the high.

Sandwiched in between a sexy as hell rock god and his equally sexy and sweet manager…yup that’s where I sit right now. We’re on our way to a dinner party. In a Suburban, packed with the members of the band 69 Bottles, along with their manager, and four - yes I said four - members of their bodyguard staff. I feel bad for Dex - the band’s drummer; Eric, also known as Peacock - the band’s bassist and Calvin, better known as Mouse - the bands lead guitarist - because the three of them are sandwiched more than I am between Talon and Kyle, the band’s manager. They’re some big guys and well, it’s a Suburban. In the middle seat, behind me, are Beck and Rusty, two of the four body guards, and sitting in the front passenger seat is Leroy, the dude is frickin’ huge, and Mills, lead bodyguard extraordinaire is behind the wheel.
We’re on our way to Cami and Tristan Michaels’ house for a dinner party that is promised to be not only us, but a few of their friends as well. Which should be great, a chance to be normal, sort of.
Normal is hardly in my vocabulary anymore. Not since five days ago.
Five days ago I stepped onto a tour bus that belongs to America’s hottest alternative rock band, 69 Bottles. And five days ago, everything I thought I knew about myself has been turned upside down.
I hit that bus with a fierce determination to be professional, to do my job, and to have a good time doing it. But what I didn’t expect was the hotness that would surround me. Dex, the drummer, he’s a dick, but still very attractive, living up to the rock god name in every stretch of the imagination possible.
Then there is Mouse, why do we call him Mouse? Well for his size, he has a tiny ass voice that resembles Mickey Mouse in a strange way. Though when he sings backup for Talon, he actually has a very low register. It’s kinda strange to watch.
And finally we have Peacock, who is aptly named for his wild hair color choices and his mad mohawk skills. His hair is colored to be hawked, so on nights like this, when it’s pulled back, it looks like a mosaic of color. He’s very good looking too, little on the heavier side when compared to the guys, but he’s solid underneath.
Ironically, I’ve yet to see any of them use the gym, so how they keep their figures is way beyond me.
My hotness meter landed on Talon, the bands lead singer. He’s just all around yummy to look at with his shaggy light brown hair and the sexiest scruffiest beard worn by any one man. Now before you go all, ewe beard, or OhMyGod beard on me, it’s scruffy, short, and deliciously perfect. He basically just looks like he hasn’t shaved in a week. He keeps it that way and it’s fucking delectable. He has these vibrant green eyes. Similar to my own, though mine are blue and bright, Talon’s nearly glow. Just thinking about them when he looks at me with sex on his mind makes my entire body v
ibrate with sexual promise.
On my other side is Kyle, the band’s manager, who is equally as sexy as Talon is, in a much softer kind of way. He’s built and tall, not quite as tall as Talon is, but close. Kyle has beautiful blue-green eyes that open straight into his soul. Though he isn’t an open book, he’s incapable of hiding who it is that he is on the inside. Which is one of the reasons why I love is passion. He has dirty blond hair that has a little length to it, but he’s more of the pretty boy between him and Talon. He keeps his go-t trimmed and he has that small, perfectly shaved line of hair that runs along his very strong, masculine jawline. Tonight he’s wearing a dress shirt, boots and jeans. All he needs is a cowboy hat and he’d make the perfect country specimen. But he’s far from that, though cowboy seems like an appropriate nickname for him.
Just this last Sunday morning, waking up in Vegas, Talon, Kyle and I crossed a line that I never intended to cross, but was unable to resist any longer. They refuse to make me choose between the two of them, which is a good thing, because there is no way that I could have. They’re the perfect balance of salty and sweet. Talon’s rough around the edges, a little crass at times, and loves taking control and taking me roughly. I shiver. Reminded of not so long ago, when he took me, hard, fast and rough. It was the perfect antidote to the shit day I’d had. He pushed me to let go, to surrender my body to him, thus taking my mind off of everything else. It was amazing.
Then you have Kyle, who is the polar opposite of Talon. Though not at all bashful about speaking his mind, he’s softer and more controlled and very passionate about me and things in general. I don’t think he realizes just how sweet he really is.
With the two of them, it’s the perfect balance. Good and evil. Salty and sweet. Loud and quiet. Hard and soft. And I am sandwiched in the middle of both of them. Engulfed with their own personal need to be near me, to hold me and to have me.
They’ve claimed me as theirs and I wouldn’t change it for the world. They’re proving to be everything I need all rolled up into two nicely kept packages for me to unwrap at any time of my choosing.

New Friends...
During our entire time on the red carpet his hand never leaves my back, a gesture that is both erotic and comforting. He pauses to talk to a few of the reporters and we spend no more than ten minutes on the carpet, until all the attention drifts from us to the newest arrivals. “Mr. Michaels…Mrs. Michaels…” I feel my heart rate increase and excitement flutters through my veins like a wild butterfly. Is it possible?
Once we cross the threshold, I can’t help but blink more than a few times to dispel the crazy flashes from my eyes.
“Remember what I said about being a fan girl?”
“Yes.” His tone is soft but still a growl.
“I lied. At least if those that arrived after us are who I think they are.”
He smiles at me. “Are you referring to Tristan?”
I slump. “How did you…?”
Before I can finish, Derek gestures around the room. It is wide, the ballroom is massive and there are no less than eighty tables spread around the room with chairs and fancy place settings, but what captures my attention is what’s on the walls. Massive posters with the charities slogan, “We Are One” emblazoned over various shots of both Tristan and his wife Cameron.
“Tristan and Cami are founders of ‘We Are One’ an equal rights charity organization.” My heart melts at the fact that Derek is using their first names and that he is a major benefactor of this charity. “They will be dining with us, so I will do my best to introduce you so you can take a deep breath. Believe me when I tell you, they are both amazing people, and very kind, and they will do anyth
ing they can to make you feel welcome.”
“Have you told them about me?”
He doesn’t answer, but there is a playful smirk on his lips and my heart is turning into butter; he talks about me.
“Remember to breathe,” he whispers.
“Derek.” I follow his line of sight and coming straight toward us are none other than Tristan Michaels and his wife Cameron.
“Tristan,” he greets him and they shake hands. It feels like I’ve walked into a dream. “How are you, Cami?” I watch as Derek leans down, kissing Cami on the cheek.
“I’m fabulous, you?” Cami is gorgeous, though I’ve seen her pictures; they’ve never done her justice. Or Tristan for that matter.
“Wonderful. Tristan, Cami, I’d like you to meet Dacotah.” What, no.
“Hi.” I extend my hand, and Tristan takes it. “It’s an honor to meet you.”
“Same to you.” He cocks his head, similarly to what Derek does when he’s trying to read me. “Dacotah, this is my wife Cami.” He places his hand on the small of Cami’s back, similarly to the way Derek is holding me. I extend my hand and we shake.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you.” She gives an all-knowing wink to Derek. “We’ve heard a lot about you.” I elbow Derek and both Tristan and Cami laugh. My fan girl moment is effectively broken.
