His to Ruin

With the devil in his smile, he answered immediately, “You already belong to me.”

  Chapter Twelve

The smug bastard said those words like a man so confident of his ownership that it rendered Sasha speechless for a few moments. She couldn’t put her thoughts in order, not in time. The jerk of his zipper sounded harsh to her ears. Nikolai exposed his cock, stroking it.

She yanked her pants down, and he paused, letting her slip out of them. Eyes wide, she didn't protest when he nudged her legs further apart. Sasha craved him inside her. He pinned his hand on her throat, the other on her hip, keeping her in place. It was a possessive move, but she knew he’d never hurt her, that she could put a stop to this anytime she wanted.

Except Sasha didn’t want him to stop. He lowered his mouth to hers, kiss all rough and bite. She leaned into the kiss, moan muffled when he reached under his shirt to give her nipple a twist. Releasing her mouth, he seemed amused when she chose to lock her arms around his neck.

“You want me to fuck you senseless against this wall, baby?” he asked, nipping her ear.

  “Yes.”

Nikolai settled his huge hands on the globes of her ass, lifting her without visible effort. Instinctively, she wrapped her legs around his waist. Looking down, she saw his engorged cock, every vein standing out.

“Next time, you’ll be on your knees, begging for my cock,” he said.

“Next time,” she agreed, then boldly leaned forward to nip at his bottom lip, biting hard enough to draw blood.

“Fuck,” he muttered, those green eyes full of lust for her, as if he saw only her.

That seemed to rile him up. He drove his dick inside her wet slick folds, all the way to the hilt. She cried out, adding more half-crescent marks on his back muscles. Sasha thought she liked that, seeing her marks on her man, the way he liked to leave souvenirs on her body. That would dissuade other women from looking at her man wrong.

  Her man.

Her heart threatened to burst out of her chest as if it wanted to grow wings. Could she call Nikolai that?

Nikolai broke her line of thought as he began thrusting in and out of her, rutting her like an animal. Her nipples tightened to sharp points, clashing with his chest. Her core heated up, as she willed her inner pussy muscles to clamp down on his shaft.

He groaned, choosing that moment to press his mouth on the side of her neck. Nikolai bit her there, right at her pulse point. Sasha left scratches on his back. He let out a little growl, his strokes fast and deep, rendering her breathless for a few moments. Breathing hard, she shut her eyes, aware of her building orgasm that was about to sweep her away.

  “Look at me,” he ordered.

She snapped her eyes opened, gasping as each thrust of his brushed against the swollen bud between her legs.

  “Come for me, baby.”

He pinched her tits, making her cry out. Once more, he shoved her over the edge of oblivion. Her mind flew as every muscle in her body relaxed. To muffle her scream, she bit into his shoulder while he thrust over and over inside her until she felt him explode. He set her down, and she felt his cum dribbling down her leg.

Sasha felt dirty and satiated at the same time.

Then Nikolai uttered one word that dispelled all the new fears she began to harbor in her head. “Mine.”

  ****

Nikolai couldn’t keep his attention on the road. He snuck occasional glances at Sasha, now dressed in a plain green shirt and new ripped jeans. She seemed to like that kind of jeans, but they suited her.

Sasha’s expression hadn’t changed during the drive. She kept her gaze pointed towards the window, silent wonder in her eyes. She reminded him a little of a wonderstruck child, despite all she’d seen and been through.

Now that he had her taste and scent on him, he only wanted more. Sasha reminded him of a drug he could easily get addicted to. Never trust junkies, Aleksander always told him. His uncle didn’t just mean druggies, but men who became slaves to their obsession.

What the hell. Nikolai only had one life. He’d lived most of it in darkness. If he went down because one woman made him weak, then fuck. So be it. Did Sasha deserve to be dragged down with him? Certainly not, but Nikolai was exactly the bastard she thought he was. He’d never let her go.

  “Nikolai.”

“What?” He studied the tempting curve of her sweet mouth, touching his own and remembering how she’d bitten him during sex. Fuck. She had a wild streak in her, too, and he liked that, loved how she could handle him when few women could.

“The light’s green,” she said. This reminded him of their conversation yesterday.

He started the engine, not seeing the other car that slid behind him until he heard the telltale sound of gunfire. Alert now, he stepped on the accelerator. Sasha screamed as a hail of bullets shattered the windows at the back.

  Chapter Thirteen

  “Get down,” Nikolai yelled.

Keeping one hand on the wheel, he didn’t have time to see if she heard him.

“God,” Sasha muttered, telling him she was alive. As he snuck a look at her, relief washed over him when he noticed she hadn’t sustained any injuries. She had turned pale. Fear lingered in those eyes, but she hadn’t fainted or panicked. Good signs. Of course. For a moment he’d forgotten she’d been raised in the same world.

His relief proved short-lived as he glanced at the mirror. The black car would catch up to them in moments. One window had been rolled down, and a bastard with a shaved head pointed his gun at them. The shooter.

They were on an empty stretch of road. No cop in sight. Nikolai chose these secluded small roads for a reason. He thought he covered their tracks well, except he’d been sidetracked. They shouldn’t have stopped for the night after the gas station incident, but he figured they both needed rest. Besides, he’d also been too distracted, too eager to claim his prize.

Shit. He only had himself to blame. He silently swore under his breath. It wasn’t just this life on the line but also Sasha’s.

Nikolai swerved to the left to avoid the bullets only to hear the telltale hiss of one of his tires being hit. Smart fucker. He drove as fast as it could take him, then abruptly stopped the car once certain he had some distance between him and their pursuers. Better to confront the fuckers than let the car crash.

  “Nikolai,” Sasha whispered in alarm.

“Open that compartment in front of you. Hand me the gun,” he said.

“How can you be so calm?” She didn’t stall though, merely did as he asked and carefully handed the spare revolver he kept there. Good to know she didn’t break apart in a situation like this.

Nikolai wasn’t calm. Fear for her life was replaced by ice-cold rage. Anger crippled some men into doing reckless things. Not him. Nikolai entered that eerily silent killing place in his head.

“Stay here,” he told her. She gripped his arm. Nikolai flashed her a reassuring grin. “Don’t worry, baby. I know what I’m doing.”

Sasha released him, biting down on her lower lip. The worry in her eyes didn’t surprise him anymore, not after the incident at the gas station and when she tended to the cut on his arm.

Nikolai couldn’t change the past, the fact he’d killed Maxim, but he’d make things better. Nikolai would be a better man for her, but first, they needed to live through this.

Nikolai planned on sending a message, to prove his point. He opened the car door and stepped out. Bullets hit the back of his car. Nikolai calmly aimed his gun. The first few shots missed. The next bounced off the bullet-proof glass. He caught the shooter in the face, watching in satisfaction as the fucker’s body hit the side of the car, gun clattering on the road.

Another window lowered, and another shooter leaned up, but this one seemed less experienced than the first. Nikolai emptied the last of his cartridge, not at the new bastard, but at the car’s wheels. The vehicle skidded to one side.

Nikolai took advantage of the lapse in time to stride to the trunk. He flipp
ed it open, taking out the mini-Uzi in the duffel. Nikolai never went out with back-up. More arsenal in his trunk meant increasing his chances of survival.

Always come prepared. That had been another of his uncle’s favorite quotes. Nikolai took off the safety and unleashed his fury. The first storm of bullets ended the second shooter. Two more men stumbled out—their mistake. He gunned the first one down, hitting the other in the leg. The last man screamed and began to crawl away. Nikolai walked towards the remaining survivor, keeping his gun pointed at the bastard, who now began to plead for his life.

  “Stop moving,” he ordered.

The man in the cheap suit was smart enough to listen.

“Please,” the man whispered, staring up at him with fear-filled eyes.

Disgusted as the man wet himself, Nikolai asked, “Are there more? Tell me the fucking truth and I might just spare your life.”

The man shook his head furiously.

“The boss—” The coward screamed when Nikolai calmly kicked at the injured leg. The guy went down, and he patiently let him go on for a few seconds.

  “Which boss?” he asked.

  “Anatoly,” the suit whispered.

One of Maxim’s lieutenants, not the smartest one and from the looks of it, Anatoly’s men were second-rate cutthroats. He recalled Sasha mentioning his name, too, but he hadn’t listened.

“And what did Anatoly want you to do?” he asked.

“Find Maxim’s killer and his daughter, if the bitch’s still alive.”

“She won’t be after I’m done with her.”

The man nervously swallowed, looking at him the way the most potential dead man did—like he was the devil in human flesh. “I believe you.”

“How did you find me?” he asked.

“The cameras in the apartment caught footage of you,” the hired suit whispered.

Nikolai didn’t even need to resort to torture. “Go on. You’re a smart fucker, aren’t you? Don’t keep me waiting. Talk.”

“One of the men saw you driving off.”

Nikolai pointed the barrel at the bastard’s head. The suit wasn’t telling him everything. He’d done a couple of interrogations in his time. When Aleksander had still been alive, he always called for Nikolai when he needed someone to talk.

Nikolai might have acted recklessly in taking his prize, but he’d made sure no one had tailed him. He gripped the man’s neck, shoving the barrel down his throat. Tears appeared in the prick’s eyes. The man gagged, and Nikolai pulled the gun back so he could talk.

“M-maxim put a tracker on the bitch’s arm. That’s how one of my guys tracked you two at a nearby gas station. When he didn’t return, I figured you found him out and killed him.”

He scowled. What kind of father tagged his own daughter as if she were some animal? Nikolai didn't let the rage show on his face though.

“Please,” the man uttered. “You promised.”

“I did. Tell Anatoly this. Call off the hunt and he wouldn’t expect a secret visit from me at night. Tell him if he values the lives of his wife and daughters—” He let the threat hang as the suit’s eyes widened at the knowledge he knew.

“And the bitch?” the suit dared ask.

  Time stood to a standstill.

  Chapter Fourteen

“She’s my toy now. I discard my toys after they’ve outlived their usefulness,” he said in a bored tone of voice. Let Anatoly think he didn’t give two shits about Sasha. The first thing he’d do was get that fucking tracker out of her arm.

“Don’t make me repeat myself,” he added.

He didn’t turn his back, merely watched the man crawl back to the car. The bastard let out a little scream as he reached him. Nikolai only dropped a burner phone in front of him.

“Call Anatoly in half an hour. If you don’t, well. You’re just one cockroach, and you’ve already given me what I want to know.”

The man stared at him. “I’ll wait.”

Another kick to his leg made him faint.

“Good cockroach.” Nikolai returned to his own car. Sasha opened the car door, practically sprinting to him. She halted, staring at the carnage, then back at him. Nikolai waited for the moment when the truth would sink in, that she now belonged to a monster who had no conscience.

Sasha did the last thing Nikolai expected. She crossed those last few steps and wrapped her arms around him.

“You’re alive. You’re safe.” She repeated those words over and over again as if she were trying to convince herself.

The last of his rage ebbed away. He gripped her ass, giving it a squeeze as she looked up at him, eyes slightly wide as he pressed his erection against her.

“You’re thinking about sex now?” she asked with some surprise. Then to his amusement, she slammed her fist into his shoulder. “I was scared for you.”

  “Really, baby?” he asked.

“This isn’t a time for jokes. I lost my father. He was a hateful bastard, but he was the only one I had. You’re the only one I have now and nothing like what I expected. Nikolai, you’re a good man, even though you said you aren’t. You’ve protected me twice now, and if I lose you, too—” She faltered.

Stumped, Nikolai pressed her curvy, warm frame to him. His woman had managed to hand him the gun in a life and death situation, yet crumbled at the prospect of losing him. This was new. No one had ever been concerned whether he lived or died. Aleksander kept him around because Nikolai turned out to be a useful tool.

“Please,” she uttered, clutching at his shirt. “Don’t scare me like that again.”

He cupped her cheek, leaning in close to kiss her. Nikolai thrust his tongue down her throat, savoring the taste of her. Releasing her, he licked her tears away.

“I can handle myself. I’ll promise you one thing though, baby. I’m never leaving you. You’re mine now, and I protect what’s mine even if that means fucking up the rest of the world.”

Nikolai kept waiting for the moment she’d wake up and realize she’d fallen for a beast, a monster beyond redemption. Sasha only surprised him at every turn. She rested her head on his chest for a few moments.

  “What next?” she asked.

“I got a spare tire in the back.”

  “Can I help?”

He nodded. “I want you to keep your eye on him. Warn me if he wakes up,” he said, nodding to the remaining suit still slumped on the road.

She bit her lip as he pulled out a smaller gun from the duffel in the trunk and handed it to her. The mini-Uzi he shouldered, just in case the fucker lied about having no back-up.

“You’re trusting me with this?” Sasha asked, accepting the gun. “Aren’t you worried I’ll—I don’t know. Shoot you?”

He smiled. “Do that, and you’ll never get to feel my cock inside that tight pussy of yours.”

She scowled. Fuck, she looked adorable as hell. Pride filled him as she studied the gun and tested the safety.

“Is sex all you really think about?” she finally asked him.

  “Watch that mouth, baby.”

“Or what?” Challenge blazed in her eyes, but she didn’t keep her gaze from the still unconscious suit on the road.

“I’ll gag you with my cock.” Nikolai took out his tools and the spare tire from the trunk. Nikolai went on, “Then after you’ve prepped my dick, I’ll sink it into your wet cunt, then your ass.”

Satisfied he stunned her into silence, he went to fix the tire. In less than an hour, he’d replaced the busted tire with a new one. He gave Sasha’s ass a slap as she climbed into the car again and handed him the gun back. Tucking the gun in his belt, he went into the driver’s seat.

“He didn’t wake up,” she told him.

“Doesn’t matter.” Before he started the engine, he said. “Anatoly would get the message soon enough.”

Nikolai told her about the tracker, watching her face twist to anger. Sasha clenched her fists.

“That bastard,” she whispered. “I think I remembered that ti
me. He brought in a doctor, telling me the doctor needed to put me down a while to administer some kind of shot.”

“Hey. Look at me, baby.” She did, blinking as he placed his hand over hers. “We’ll fucking fix this. First priority? Get that shit out of your arm. After that, they won’t be able to track you or me for that matter. I know how to cover my tracks.”

“And,” she ventured, sounding hesitant. “What’s going to happen after that?”

He smiled. “You know the answer to that.”

  Chapter Fifteen

Nikolai silently dropped into the second-floor bathroom window left opened for him by his mole, Benny. He doubted the Petrovich man would open his trap to his superiors. They’d never met in person. Everything had been agreed upon online.

All the fucker cared about was the cold, hard cash Nikolai offered in return for completing two simple tasks, leaving one window in Anatoly’s house open and adding sleeping pills into a pet’s dog dish. Loyalty seemed to be in short supply these days.

With the men divided, Maxim’s living lieutenants didn’t mind hiring outside help.

Checking his mask remained intact, he slipped out of the bathroom, gun in hand and the blueprint of the house in his mind. Nikolai listened for sounds downstairs. Men’s voices came from the living room, occasionally muffled by a woman’s laugh and the sound of poker chips clattering on the table. Benny’s information was solid.

All the men in Anatoly’s employ cared about was fucking their bitches and gambling on a Friday night. Footsteps made Nikolai take cover inside an empty closet. Anatoly only left one guard patrolling the second floor.

Nikolai tucked his gun in his belt. Once the bastard passed the closet, Nikolai slipped out, lunged, wrapping his gloved hands around the fucker’s neck. The man gasped. Nikolai shoved a hand over the bastard’s mouth, muffling his cry.

All the muscles in his arms strained as he waited, gritting his teeth until all fight went out of the man. Nikolai set him down on the ground, careful not to make a sound. He grabbed his gun again, passing the rooms where Anatoly’s twins slept and his wife’s room. According to Benny, Anatoly kept separate bedrooms from his wife. Fucking perfect. Nikolai turned the knob to Anatoly’s room.
