In fact over the last 6 months she had started an Information Technology Consultancy business, and he wasn’t surprised that it had been a success she was both clever and determined.

Just thinking about last night made him sweat, he couldn’t believe the things he said to her, it wasn’t that the things he had said weren’t true but in the cold light of the morning, he knew he had sounded like a jealous ass, which of course he was. However it gotten him a taste of Imogen and for that he had no issues with acting jealous.

Closing his eyes he ran the scene with Imogen last night through his brain again, remembering the touch of her; that smooth creamy skin, the feel of her breasts, he moved his hand down to grip his hard, throbbing penis and stroked himself, her mouth tasted sweet and soft and when she lapped the blood off his cut lip, well he thought he would explode, he increased the momentum as he thought about her luscious breasts, flat tummy and long, long legs wrapped around his body, he gripped himself a little harder as he felt his body stiffen when he came. Hell what would it be like to get inside her, to possess her and join together as one?

He showered and dressed, before heading next door, he wanted to check on Celia, it was an added bonus that he would see Imogen. He knocked on the door and walked in; he could smell coffee and roses when he opened the front door. He could hear Imogen humming in the kitchen and as he got to the open door, he saw her, wearing an oversized t-shirt, with those long luscious legs on display.

When she saw him, she smiled and her face lit up. The kitchen was the hub of the house, with its yellow walls, wooden units and large round table in the middle; it was the complete opposite to his white units and stainless steel room. This room always made him feel warm and welcome.

"Morning, sweetheart" he was pleased when she blushed, watching her cheeks pinken, she looked at his swollen lip.

  "God I marked you, I would say I’m sorry…."

Laughing at her "but you aren’t, do you know most people would quake at the thought of upsetting me, let alone causing me an injury. I am sure you have no sense of self preservation. About last night I was a bit of an ass but I am not sorry with what happened after" he stopped laughing and looked at her, he was praying she didn’t regret it but when she tilted her head and looked at him, he knew she didn’t regret it especially when he saw the heat in her eyes.

"I can’t say I am either, I have been waiting for that for a long time" as he took a deep breath and moved towards her, he bent his head and dropped the lightest kiss on her lips, she laughed at him.

"It was worth the wait. I won’t break Theo" he leaned his head into the crook of her neck.

"I know that Imogen but I don’t want to hurt you ever."

"I might not have had sex for a long time, but before I was taken I had some experiences" he growled into her neck.

"I don’t want to know about previous experiences baby, let me pretend you have never seen a man before me" she laughed again as she wrapped her arms around him.

"What I was going to say was, I knew what I liked and didn’t like, I don’t want to be petted and wrapped in cotton wool, I can handle and will definitely enjoy whatever you throw at me."

He closed his eyes as he thought of the right thing to say, he didn’t want to screw this up "I don’t want to be too rough and make you remember the past."

She lifted his head by his hair and looked him straight in the eye.

"The difference Theo is that I want this and I want you. Believe me when I say I will never associate you with them, I never have."

That was enough for him, he pinned her against the sink and kissed her hard, as his tongue darted into her mouth he could taste the grapefruit she had been eating, he plundered her mouth wishing it was his penis, the scent of roses made his head dizzy, he knew she loved her rose soap and he now associated this with her. Their teeth clashed as he deepened the kiss, running his hands down to her bottom as he lifted her up so she balanced on the sink, he ground his penis against her soft, warm clit and he groaned when she let out a little moan.

  "Mmmhhhmmm."

They looked up to see the Celia stood there, Theo knew it was his turn to be embarrassed, Celia however didn’t seem concerned as she walked through the kitchen to fridge. She must have noticed the complete silence and turned back to face them with a huge smile on his face.

"What? Oh do you need me to comment, sure I can do that. About god damn time, now we can be a real family. Although I have to say the kitchen is not the most appropriate place to be and I would prefer not to see you almost having sex when I would like my breakfast."

He saw Imogen's eyes widen at Celia frank statement. Theo wanted to hug her, so he did just that before he too sat down "Celia tell me what happened last night, are you sure your drink wasn’t spiked, did something happen? Did anyone upset you?"

Now it was Imogen’s turn to laugh "while you start the Spanish inquisition I am going to shower," she left the room with her heart and body feeling all warm and mushy.

Her bedroom was her haven, all reds and browns, it always seemed warm and tranquil, the large bed dominated the room even though it saw absolutely no action but hopefully it would soon, just the thought made her quiver. As she climbed into the shower and let the cold water run over her she wasn’t sure how she could still feel so hot and tingly while cold water was running down her body.

When she came down the stairs, Theo and Celia were still eating breakfast and looked so sweet, "well I am sorry to leave you two but I have an appointment in the City."

"I can take you" In theory that sounded good, Theo would often come with her but with what was happening between them Imogen wasn’t convinced they would get to the appointment. The man was setting her on fire, she actually wanted him inside her, until she didn’t know where she started and he ended.

As she picked up her keys, Theo took them and handed her the keys to his sports car.

"It’s quicker than your 70’s throwback" she laughed, he had ridiculed her little Beetle from the day she had brought it, it was bright blue and her baby. But she knew he worried about it not being secure or fast enough so she took his keys, she didn’t want to argue with him today.

As she slid into the leather seats and set the music, she drove away from the house, for the first time in a long time she was excited, she was looking forward to the future, things were looking up and her heart soared in a way she never thought would happen again.

She slowed down as she went past Lucky chasing the boys and waved. She beeped her horn at Sylvia tending her garden, she and Sylvia were quite close and she had helped her with Celia when they had arrived at Silver's. As the mother of Ben and Nicky, her and Lucky had supported Imogen when she was in hell after arriving at Silver’s and they would always be her friends, she would forever be grateful to them for their time and patience.

When she turned onto the highway, Imogen cranked up the radio, she was in the mood for music blaring out of the stereo. Heading into New York City she wasn’t surprised to be stuck in traffic and was pleased she had left enough time to dawdle her way through the City. Parking in the city was a nightmare but eventually she had managed to get parked in a side street, it was just past a small private car park, she could have parked in there but it was at the risk of Theo’s car getting towed, she laughed at the thought.

Walter’s Inc. was a firm of Lawyers specializing in corporate business, from the information she had been provided, a recently fired employee had threatened to hack into their systems and leak confidential information. Imogen was there to update and increase their computer security. It was a small firm and she expected to be there no longer than 4 hours, she would also check to see if there had been any attempts to breach the current security. When she arrived it was Arthur who met her; he was the senior partner and the person who had commissioned her services.

"Lovely to meet you Miss Evan’s" he was in his late 50’s with bald greying hair, he was somewhat overweight but with his beard he looked like a jolly
Santa just wearing a black suit instead of the red suit.

"I have to say your references were impeccable, especially the ones from Silver Inc. what was it like working for wolves, were they scary? I have to say I am a little fascinated."

Imogen smiled, she was used to this, since the outing of other species about 25 years ago, people had become more accustomed to meeting vampires, wolves and other shifters but there was still this unknown quality to them. Which was why she didn’t tend to get into the, I live with the wolves conversation, too many questions tended to follow. Even though she had impeccable references from many firms, Silver Inc. was a large and well known company so people tended to notice them.

As she looked over the current computer systems, she settled in, her finger’s flying over the keyboard at such speed she knew most people wouldn’t be able to see what she was doing, Arthur had left her alone. It didn’t take long but she found that someone had indeed been trying to breach the firewalls, it was a somewhat clumsy attempt, she was able to identify them by following their ISPN address, after printing the details off, she set to work updating them to her own system. She loved this part of her job, the creating of software, knowing her stamp was there, and after this was done she would provide ongoing support to them, for a small fee of course.

When she was finished she spent a further hour taking Arthur through what she had done, leaving him a user guide and contact number’s for technical support, which went through to her or Simon, a pack member, who was a pretty good IT technician and was being trained by her. As she left she stretched her legs, stopping at a bakery to pick up a donut, she suspected she would need the sugar. Imogen was still feeling a little naughty and horny, prompting her to send Theo a text.

"On my way back, if you’re not too busy we could start where we left off."

Within seconds she received a reply, "already waiting, my place, hurry" she smiled as she turned into the side street.

She was distracted so didn’t initially notice how quiet it was, but when she did, she slid her hand into her bag where her knife was. It paid to be cautious, so much so that when she walked past the entrance to the private car park she managed not to freak when a hand came out and grabbed her round the throat.

"Don’t panic, it’s alright little lady we won’t hurt you,,, much" she couldn’t really smell him, his voice was low whispering in her ear, when she noticed that he actually didn’t have a scent she grasped that this meant he was likely to be a vampire, shit.

She knew she could attempt disable him but it was the "WE" in his words that worried her, he was strong, dragging her into the car park, so she decided to move fast. Imogen’s heart was racing, her legs threatened to fall under her, she had to stay calm and remember everything Theo had taught her. Her hand was still in her bag, her knife gripped, she slid it out and twisted her arm backwards and she connected with his rib cage. When she felt the knife break through the skin, he grunted and let go of her, she ran towards Theo’s car but as she neared the entrance a second man stepped in front of her then suddenly another 2 followed, all were laughing.

"Well Simon, you didn’t see that coming" the 3 circled her, and then Simon stepped forward and barged them out of the way; she knew she was in trouble, they were all vampires.

Simon hit her, her head swam but he caught her as she went down, she bit his arm at the top and he hit her again, as he stepped closer she fought like a wolf, kicking out, scratching, screaming, but still it wasn’t enough, she felt the first bite as it pierced her neck, she felt the second bite as she was passed to another, and then another. Then she felt nothing.

When they had finished, they dropped her to the ground, she still had her bag around her so when one bent over her she decided she wasn’t going out alone, as she pulled a pen out she pierced it through his heart. Her eyes closed, when she opened them they were gone, she groped in her bag, she couldn’t see, her head was too heavy but she felt the keys as she sent one final message to Theo.

  Chapter 4

His heart was stuttering, he kept moving things around, he wasn’t sure which way would looked better, chilled wine on the dresser or next to the bed, curtains open or closed, candles or the dimmer? God this shouldn’t be hard, it was Imogen, she wouldn't even notice, he sat down and got back up, she should be here any minute.

As he heard the beep of the phone he smiled, that was probably her now telling him to be ready, he had waited so long for her to be ready, picking up the phone, he opened the message and his heart stopped.

"Sorry didn train hard nough I love you take care of Celi not you flt" he pressed the number to dial her back while getting his shoes and racing out of the door, but all he got was a ringing, he was shouting in his head, using the telepathic link to Ben and the pack.

"BEN GET DEAN TO TRACK THE LOCATION OF MY CAR AND IMOGEN’S PHONE NOW, I AM ON MY WAY."

He left the house, already in wolf form, this was quicker, he felt the wild wolves following him, feeling his distress.

"Theo’s what going on" the pack were able to talk telepathically, some had heard him scream at Ben and he knew they would be waiting at the old gym, where Imogen had set up her business. He was right there where at least 12 men and wolves were waiting for him. As he transformed back, he thrust his phone into Ben’s hands with the message still on the screen. he steamed past everyone into where Dean was sat printing off data, which he handed straight to Theo, these are the co-ordinates, both the car and phone are within 100 yards of each other.

"Is she okay? Can I do anything else?" Theo shook his head as he left, committing the details to memory before shifting back into wolf form and heading out to find her, he would bring her home. If she was hurt someone would pay.

He could hear and smell at least 6 other wolves following him including Ben and Connor, they were his closest friends and they would stand by him. There wouldn’t be much point if she was gone, just the thought made his wolf howl in pain, as Nicky dropped in next to him, he nodded. Nicky was Ben’s brother and a couple of years ago he had nearly lost the life of his mate in a fight for her life, thankfully Morgan is now his wife. The Goddess of War had saved Morgan and since then his life had transformed for the better, he had never seen Nicky so happy. Nicky was the fastest wolf in the pack and was able to keep up with Theo as they entered the busy streets of New York. Pedestrian moved as they raced through the busy streets.

It took them a further 30 minutes to reach the location. As they rounded the corner he saw his car, but no Imogen, his wolf picked up her scent immediately where he followed it into a small car park. His wolf growled when he saw the pool of blood, a large pool of blood. He also saw her mobile lying on the floor, but there was no Imogen, the other wolves waited at the top of the street allowing Theo to track both the scent and her energy signature.

Theo was unusual for a wolf, he had all the extra’s a wolf had, including the ability to hunt, the speed, the strength, but his mother had been a witch and he was also born able to see a person’s energy signature. He could see where a certain person was and where they had been and gone through their energy, a bit like seeing auras.

He could see Imogen’s, to him it had always been a swirling mass of blues, when he first found her and Celia it was a dark almost black colour, but as she recovered the blues had lightened. This morning her energy signature had been the brightest he had ever seen, but what was left was a dull sort of blue.

Looking around he could see hundreds of signatures but it was the most recent ones that interested him, these were stronger colours than the others, several were greens tinged with greys and blacks. He knew these had been the people who had hurt Imogen, greys and blacks tended to mix with colours when a person was dangerous and contained evil inside.

There was an even more recent one, this one was a purple, strong and vibrant he knew this one but couldn’t remember where from. There was no evil in it. There was strength and a very dark purple swirl through it, Theo knew the dark swirl meant that the p
erson wasn’t evil per se but he had the ability to do evil, then he recalled where he had seen it.

"Ben, Vlad was here. Where do I find him?"
