Tank (Book 2) Page 8

by Belle, Kimberly I.

“Morning, darling, I didn’t want to wake ya since you were sleeping so peacefully but you wrapped yourself on me. You even snored a bit,” he says smiling.

“Oh my gosh, I do not snore.” I slap him on the chest. “I’m sorry I took over your space.” I’m about to move when I feel something hard on my leg. Oh god, he’s hard. I freeze for a moment and look up at him.

“Please don’t panic, I can’t help it.” He moves to get up but I stop him. We both sit up with our backs against the headboard.

“Tank, it’s okay. I’m surprised. I’ve never been around a man who didn’t want me for revenge. The only guys I’ve been with drugged me to have sex with them. They used to inject me with sedatives and paralytics. I would be awake but couldn’t move, so I would feel and hear everything they did. The tattoo on my back, was done after they drugged me.”

He rubs a hand over his face. “Jesus, Sky that’s terrible. I’m so sorry that happened to you. No one deserves to go through that. Did they ever mention why?”

“No, but I figured it out. They used me to get to my brother. They told me he was dead but now I know he was held captive and they streamed my abuse to him. If you think about it, it was smart, what’s the worst way to hurt someone?”

“Hurt the ones they love most,” he says.

“Yup, Sam’s my twin. We’re all the family we have left, there’s no one else.” I say as a tear falls.

Tank wipes a tear away from my face with his thumb. He cradles my face in both hands. “Listen to me Sky, as long as you’re here and around me, no one will ever hurt you. I’ll make sure no one as much as looks at you funny.”

“Why would you do that? We barely know each other.”

“Because you’re a good person in a shitty situation, and I feel like I’ve known you for a while. I feel comfortable around you, and I feel like I can let you in, you’re letting me in for god knows why. I feel different around you then I do other women.”

  “Thank you.” His phone rings.

  “Tank,” he answers.

I move off the bed and go to the bathroom, taking the bag of clothes Charlie brought. She put in a bunch of leggings and tank tops. The only problem is that the tank tops show off the Death Riders Tattoo on my back. When I emerge from the bathroom dressed in leggings and a tank top, Tank is putting on his shirt.

“We need to get going.” He says, I can’t help but think this man is walking sex. He has that v-cut dipping into his pants, his ass is perky and round, his legs are muscular and strong. I feel having real desire towards a man.

“I need a jacket or something. Charlie only gave me tank tops and they all show off the disgusting tattoo on my back. Do you have a shirt I can put over this? I don’t think your club will enjoy seeing this tattoo.”

“I might have something.” He moves to the closet and pulls out a flannel button up shirt. “Here, I think this should fit you if you roll up the sleeves.”

“Thanks.” I pull on the shirt and roll up the sleeves. I actually feel somewhat normal. “I’m going to grab the laptop and we can go.” I grab the laptop and follow him out of the room. He leads me to a giant room with a big table. I see Breaker, Rock, Buzz and another guy sitting at the table. He looks scary, I shrink back behind Tank.

“What the hell, Winger, what are you doing here?” Tank says.

The unfamiliar guy says, “I kept bugging them at the hospital to let me out and Charlie came by and said I was stable. She told me to take it easy, I can’t ride my bike but as long as I’m out of that hospital, I’m happy. Who is she?”

“I’m Sky.” I say out from behind Tank.

“I’m sure they have filled you in, she’s Sam’s sister and a hacker like Rock, she might be better than him and she’s prettier.” Tank says smiling at Rock.

  “Is that so, little lady?”

“I’m okay, Rock is pretty good.” I say.

“Oh, no she’s way better than me. Wait, until you see the program she developed to track that shithead Rabbit,” Rock says.

“I’m Winger, darlin’.” He nods his head.

“Nice to meet you Winger.” I try to smile at him.

“Alright, you pecker heads and lady, let’s start church. We don’t ever have outsiders in here but she has information that will help, right Sky?” Breaker says.

“Yes, I was running my data to track Rabbit, and there are a few coordinates that stand out. It looks like he has been going to a strip club called the Dancing Kitty routinely. He also called this number,” I show him on the computer, “after you called him and they have been messaging back and forth.” They have all gathered around me. “I’m able to plug this number into a database, that I’m not supposed to have access to, and it comes up with…” I plug the number in and wait. “The number that comes up is,” I become silent, the photo and number that pops up is the President of the Death Riders MC. “That’s the president of the Death Riders. He has been calling him.”

“That motherfucker, I knew it, now we have the proof. We need to make sure the other brothers are in on this and we’re going to set up a trap,” says Breaker.

“Can we find out what’s in those text messages?” Buzz asks.

“Give me a minute, Rock do you have the code we used to unscramble the videos?”

  “Yeah, why?”

“I want to use the code to unscramble the security on his phone. We shouldn’t be able to do this, but it’s all I did when I worked for dear Uncle Sam.” I begin trying to decode his texts. It takes me a minute, all the guys are watching me. “Ah ha, okay so it seems like Rabbit, told him you had a job. Then the Pres said to give him details of the job so they could intercept. Rabbit, said he would let him know, and will meet at DK for more details.”

  “Rabbit is dead.” Winger says.

“You aren’t going anywhere Winger, you will chill or I will have my woman admit you back into the hospital,” Breaker says.

  “You wouldn’t.”

“Try me, I’m the President and you’re gonna listen. We’re already losing enough brothers because they are rats. You will rest and heal, and that’s final.”

“What do you want to do Pres?” asks Buzz. Damn, all these men are ridiculously good looking. Buzz looks like an Abercrombie model, he has such a baby face.

“I want to meet with him and tell him we have a delivery, one of the biggest jobs we have ever had, guns and money. We will create a trap and take them out. I want Winger to come up with the details, and Buzz and Rock, I want logistics. We will have the clubhouse on lockdown, and I want all brothers on hand. I want to know who is loyal. Once we clean house of the rats and get Sky’s brothers club back, we can get back to normal. Any questions or objections?”

  There’s a cumulative “Nay.”

“I have a question. What am I supposed to do? I finished what you wanted. Can I leave?” I ask.

“Sky, you were never held captive, you could come and go as you please. We kept you close because we wanted to give your protection. You have given us more than we could have ever asked, and we would love to keep you on to help us and Rock with all that computer shit you do.” Breaker replies.

“I know, it’s just that I feel like I owe you a debt still.” I admitted.

“You owe us nothing, if anything we owe you.” Breaker says.

“Please, just give my brother his club back. I want to move on with my life.” I know they are going to kill Death Riders, I wish I left before they discussed specifics. They may seem like good guys for helping me but they aren’t called Corrupted Saints for nothing.

“Meeting adjourned.” Breaker hits his gable.

Tank didn’t say a word during the meeting. “Can I leave now?” I ask.

“Yes, give me a minute to talk to Pres and we can go. You aren’t to be left unprotected,” Tank says.

“Alright, I’ll wait out in the bar.” I walk out into the clubhouse’s main room, I figure I can’t be unsafe her
e. I walk over to the bar and see the prospect that watched my door a night or two ago.

“Hey Sky, what can I get ya?”

“Oh, hi, um can I just get water? You know my name but I don’t know yours.”

He moves to get my water, “I’m Lee, and here is your water.”

  “Thanks.”

He moves away to help a brother that walked up to the bar. I can feel a lot of eyes on me.

I see a club whore that was with Tank walking towards me. “You know he is mine, right bitch?”

  “Excuse me?”

“Tank, he’s mine. He promised me that I would be his old lady.” She flips her hair.

This girl is annoying, I want nothing to do with her. “Leave her alone Melanie. She has nothing to do with you,” says Lee.

“Look, you can have Tank, he isn’t mine and I have no claim on him. I’m just helping the club out.” I tell her.

“Of course, I can have him and he wants me, who would want a fat bitch like you anyway.”

“I may be a fat bitch, but at least I don’t have to spread my legs to get their attention. Now leave me alone. Go find a dick to suck.” I know how to deal with club whores, my whole life was lived as one, unwillingly.

“You’re gonna pay for that, you fat Bitch, I know what you are, I know what is on your back. I know who you used to belong to. You will stay away from Tank, otherwise I will tell them what’s on your back and that you’re a spy.”

“You think they don’t know what is on my back, they are the ones who brought me here. Whereas you, you’re replaceable. Now, run away, I don’t want to talk to you.” I can’t stand club whores. They used to give me flack at the Death Riders MC about how I would take all the attention away from them. This one though is getting on my last nerve. I used to fight the girls at the Death Riders clubhouse. I’m not afraid to hit another girl but I would rather not to.

She keeps standing there, clenching her fists, flipping her hair, “Tank is mine, why would he want your fat ass when he has all of this,” she motions with her hand, “He is just using you for blow jobs, I hear fat girls give the best ones since they are always putting shit in their mouth.” I’m about to say something when Tank walks up.

“What the fuck are you talking about? You’re not my old lady, you’re nothing to me. You better get the fuck out of my sight or you’re out. Sky is more of a woman than you will ever be. If I ever hear you call her fat or say something nasty in her direction you’re out. If you as much as look at her funny, you are out. Now get the fuck out of my sight and never talk to her again.” He scolds.

The Melanie girl leaves in a huff. “Wow, you didn’t need to do that. I’m used to dealing with catty women.”

“Well, I told you I would protect you and I will.” I notice some of the brothers looking at me funny. Tank turns to them and yells “What the fuck are you looking at? If you have a problem with her being here, then you have a problem with me.”

“And me,” adds in Rock and Breaker who just walked up to the bar.

The brothers all nod their heads and look away. I can’t believe Tank and Breaker and Rock just defended me.

“You guys didn’t have to do that.” I say.

“Yeah, we want them to know that you’re off limits.”

“If I didn’t know any better, I would think you staking claim on me Tank,” I laugh it off and walk back to the kitchen, I’m hungry.

“Sky,” it’s Tank. He walks right up to me as I’m looking through the fridge.

I turn and I’m enclosed between him and the refrigerator. “Tank,” I swallow.

“What if we went out to lunch?”

“Okay.” He is really close, I want to kiss him. I close my eyes and I feel him moving in, he kisses my forehead again.

“Let’s go then, darlin’ I’m starving and want something sweet. We’re gonna go to Liz’s. You okay riding bitch on my bike?”

“Yeah, I haven’t been on a bike in a long time. I used to have my own. She’s probably still the clubhouse. My brother bought me her.”

  “No shit, you ride?”

  “Yes. Does that surprise you?”

  “Yes, yes it does.”

I follow Tank to his bike. He hands me a helmet and helps me get on. I have my hands wrapped around his waist and can feel his tight abs. I’ve always felt so free riding on a bike. Twenty minutes later we pull up to Liz’s. Tank helps me off and hold his hand out, we walk hand in hand to the store. I’m not sure why we’re holding hands, but I don’t mind it.

We walk into the bakery and it’s busy. “Tank, maybe we should go somewhere else, it’s too full here.”

“Nah, don’t worry about it, Liz saved a table for us. I called her ahead of time.”

“Tank, Sky, it is so good to see you guys. How are you?” It was Liz. She looks swamped.

“Hey, Liz,” she comes over for a hug.

“I saved you a table over by the window. Just come up and tell me what you want when you’re ready to order. It is a zoo today.”

Tank leads me to the table and pulls out my chair for me. “Thank you.”

We take a seat and look over our menus. I think I want a clam chowder.

Tank looks over his menu, “Have you decided what you want?”

“Yeah, I think I’ll go for a cup of soup, if that’s alright?”

“Of course it is, you’re not ordering the cheapest thing on the menu right?”

“Uh, no, I just don’t want to eat too much,” I say. Dammit how did he catch on to that?

“Order what you want Sky. You don’t have to worry about your weight. Your body is perfect as it is.” He says looking into my eyes.

“Um, thank you for that, but you really don’t need to say that. I know what I look like, I am not a thin person. I want a soup and that’s that. I’ll pay you back when I get my accounts set up.”

“Stop. That’s not what I’m saying. I find your body, from what I’ve seen, sexy. I may be crossing a line but I don’t want you to change the way you look, and you’re not paying me back. My momma did not raise me to be a jerk. Women don’t pay when they are with me, got it?”

“Yes.” I blush a bright red.

“I see you blushing Sky. I’m just being honest. I’m going to put our orders in, are you sure you only want a soup?” He stands.

“Fine, I want a BLTA, a clam chowder and I want a bear claw.”

He smiles, “Atta girl that’s what I like to hear. I love a girl that doesn’t just chomp on air.” He places the order. I have never been on a date, but I imagine this is what it would be like. It can’t be though, a guy like Tank would never take a girl like me out.

“What‘s going on in the pretty head of yours?” He sets down two cups of water.

“Nothing, I was just thinking that I have never been on a date before.”

“How can that be? You’re beautiful.”

“Well, not every man likes a girl like me. Thank you.”

“I know, if I had a girl like you, I would never let her go. You’re beautiful, curvy and you’re smart. You have it all going on.”

“So, why don’t you have an old lady? You’re a good-looking guy and you seem to have plenty of girls wanting to be claimed as yours.”

“I don’t want to get too close to a girl because they can use her against me, just how they used you against your brother. I don’t want to be with a hang around. I also happen to like curvy girls and all the girls at the club are sticks. Seeing Charlie and Breaker though is changing my mind. I may want a family of my own after all.”

“Yeah, that’s understandable. I hope to get as far away from here as possible where no one knows who I am. Hopefully, I can find a guy and maybe have a family.”

“I didn’t mean to offend you by what I said. I just mean they are choosing to share their bodies with all these guys and I don’t want that. I want someone pickier so to speak.”

  “At least you g
uys treat them well.”

“We do. So, there’s no chance of you staying close?”

“I don’t think so. There’s nothing keeping me here.” One of Liz’s employees brings over our food. “Wow this looks great. Thank you.”

We sit and eat for what feels like hours. I enjoy being in his company. I can see Liz looking over at us. I smile at her and she smiles huge.

“Are you ready to get out of here?” asks Tank as he leaves a big tip on the table.

“Yeah, I’m stuffed. I could use a walk if that’s okay?”

“Definitely. I know of a park around here. I once chased a girl down near a park. I thought she was stealing scones from Liz.” He teasingly says, reminding me of when he chased me away from the store. I was so pissed at him. We walk down the street towards the park.

I playfully punch him. “You know I wasn’t stealing from her. I was hungry and this giant oaf chased me.”

“Hey, I’m not an oaf, I am a Tank. I am a sexy Tank at that.” He flashes his pearly whites at me.

  “Why did you chase me?”

“I wanted to make sure you weren’t stealing from her and you took off so fast.”

“I’m sorry. I was scared you would take me to the cops or do worse. I didn’t know what the club was like. I only had the impression of how the Death Riders are.” We end up on a park bench watching ducks. I notice two teenagers making out nearby.

“Tank, Can I ask a favor of you? You can say no if you want.”

“Sure thing, darlin’ what can I do for you?”

“Can you kiss me? On the lips, a real kiss?”

“Um, why are you asking that Sky?” He looks confused.

“I have never been kissed or touched by a man because I wanted it to happen. It has always been forced on me.”

“What about before they took you? Didn’t you have boyfriends?”

“No. I was never with a guy before that. I just want to feel what it would feel like to have some control. To know what it’s like to kiss someone because I want it to happen.” I say looking away.

“Look at me Sky, are you sure you want me to be that guy?”
