The Chinese Tiger Ying

Today as I walked out of the doctor’s office, I hoped Mike would pop the question soon. I knew my mum would feel heaps better about it when I rang her later to tell her my bit of news. My doctor had just confirmed the positive home test had been bang on. I was in my fifth week of pregnancy. Mike would be in for a surprise when he arrived home from work this evening. I hadn’t mentioned it when I stopped taking the pill. But, I knew how much Mike longed to be a dad, and he’d be the happiest man alive when I told him about our baby. I knew Mike would be a wonderful dad.

Climbing onto my motorbike, I rode home contemplating what it would feel like to be a mum. It seemed amazing I found the idea so exciting. But, I was so looking forward to joining the ranks of the pram pushers. For a long while I hadn’t been sure I even wanted to have kids. Now all I wanted was to be the best mum ever. After all, no child with Mike Young as his or her father deserved anything less than a great mum to go along with a great dad.

  If You Liked This Book

You can make a difference. Book reviews can make or break a book in this electronic age. Without reviews, a book doesn't get the necessary visibility on online bookseller platforms that make it easy for readers to find. Independent authors and publishers don't have the financial resources of the big New York publishing houses. That's why honest reviews and word of mouth are so important in helping them bring their books to the attention of new readers.

If you enjoyed this book, I would be so grateful if you would take a few minutes to write and post a review. And, please tell any of your friends and family members about it who you believe might also enjoy the adventures of T.J. O'Sullivan, Honolulu private eye.

  About the Author
