The Panty Whisperer: The Complete Series
Page 24
Fighting, f***ing, and winning. It's what I do and nobody will stand in my way. It's how I live my life on the field and in the bedroom. I make hitters fear me. If they're scared, it gives me an advantage, and I capitalize on it. People say I have an attitude problem, that I'm a bad boy. It's exactly what I want them to think.
Until I meet Elizabeth, the psychiatrist Coach makes me see. She specializes in pro athletes. There's something about her. Maybe she'll be the one who finally cuts through my layers and sees the real me. Who knows?

This anthology has been quite the ride. Producing a book is not easy, and it takes a team of people to do it properly. If I thanked every person individually, this section could be its own novel. The one thing I fear more than a gaping plot hole in a book that I've published, is forgetting to thank someone. If I do forget, I sincerely apologize. It's not intentional. I'm just so blessed to have so many people who help me out.
Family is first, and I could not do this without Mrs H and the boy. They get me through everything. They ARE everything. I love you so much and thank you! Also, I suppose I'll throw Lil Bro in the family section. Thanks buddy. Your "buy his shit" mantra is pure marketing genius. Love you!
Celia Aaron, my writing bestie. You're the shit. You know this. You'll remind me of this. I'm quite certain. I couldn't get through some of the hard days without you. You are a workhorse and the best writer I know. And you make me better. Thank you!
My publicist and PR rep, Neda Amini, with Ardent Prose PR. She is the best. Literally. When I worked with small businesses before becoming a full-time author, I would always start to pick up on patterns. Every single successful client always had a few traits in common. They surrounded themselves with people who were experts at things they weren't. But not only that, they surrounded themselves with experts who shared the same goals and visions as they did. I feel so comfortable knowing I have a publicist who has my back at all times, and also shares the same loves and visions as I do: reading (even though her tastes are not as refined as my own, *runs*), not forgetting where you came from, building your brand organically through hard work and personal relationships and not throwing money at it for temporary gains, helping others who are just starting out. She's taught me so much and I can't see myself anywhere else but with Ardent, as long as they'll have me. Thank you!
Stacey Broadbent at Spell Bound. The greatest proofreader of all time who also happens to be an author and a fan. But more importantly, a friend. Thank you so much! You're a rock star.
Rachel at The Saucy Owl and Vivian at Beaute de Livres. KSBAFCM! You ladies are amazing! Seriously. I don't have words to describe how, in Rachel's terms, motherfrikkin shiznitting awesome both of you are. The teasers, organization, book trailers, swag planning… I could go on and on. They still find time to read my own and others' books and write reviews, serving the indie community without asking anything in return. You both mean the world to me. I'm sure you already know that. But thank you!
Laura McHale and Lauren Lascola-Lesczynski. My other duo who are admins in my group and inseparable. I heart both of you so hard. Day in and day out, I can always count on them spreading the word about my books (and others), keeping the group interesting and hilarious while I'm busy with things, or hanging out with boy or Mrs H for the day. Lauren constantly finds new ways to promote my books, or she's raising money for charities near and dear to me. Laura is always posting something somewhere about my books, or on her Facebook blog page. This is on top of everything they already do. They're both just incredible. Thank you!
My ninja pimps, Ciara Hunter and Paro. My god, these two. They are freaking machines. We have a chat and a ninja pimp group that Rachel and Viv set up. It's super organized and amazing. Ciara and Paro show up in the chat and it's like I'm reading the news wire at the stock exchange it's moving so fast. And it's not just release day, it's every single day. They are out there hustling for Celia and I, rounding up others, entering us in contests, posting teasers, making teasers, making gifs. I just want to hug you both so hard. Thank you for all of your hard work. I can't say enough good things to do you justice.
Thank you to Mr. Aaron. Not only is he Celia's husband, giving up time with her for us to work on our books, but he's a graphic design virtuoso. He did the cover for this book and also does most of Celia's. Cleat Chaser is his design too. He's like the digital Da Vinci of romance covers and ab pictures. Thank you, sir. You saved my ass last minute on the PW cover and it's fucking incredible.
Stacey Broadbent at Spell Bound. She's the greatest proofreader in the world, as well as an author, blogger, fan, and most importantly a friend. Thank you so much. You made this book better!
All of my good friends at the Harem. I just wanna hug all of you. There are too many to list out, but thank you so very much. I have so much fun daily and it's the best group I could hope for. You are amazing, and I don't think I can say enough about all of you. My heart is so happy that you all take the time to read my books and help spread the word about them. I'm going to leave it at that, at the risk of crying at two a.m. as I write this. I love you all, so very much! You aren't fans. You're friends. I truly mean that. When one person is down, we pick them up. When one person is up, we lift them up higher. It's just what we do. You're just incredible and lovely. Every last one of you.
Helena Hunting and Christina Santos over in the den. Thanks for letting the wood hang out (see what I did there?) and fangirl all over Helena. I love that group so much. It's a place where I can escape being an author (most of the time) and just be a fan like everyone else that loves to read and gush over books they love. And do it with an often inappropriate sense of humor. *insert heart emojis and shit*
To all the bloggers who work so hard for so little to spread the word about my books. Thank you so much! Cecily Bonney, Sissy, Smuttt, Ellie and Petra at Love N. Books, Morgan Cross, Holly Shields, Avephoenix, Laura Martinez, JP Uvalle, and many more. All the Shhluts, SueBee, Warhawke, Ebru, Jabby, Kay, CC, Carlene, Snow, Timitra, Dawn, Lloyda, Kay, Elizabeth… Gahhh, I know I'm forgetting some, and I'm so sorry. All the bloggahs. Much love from this guy over here. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You make this industry! You are the industry! Thank you!
All my fans... I often don't know
what you see in my writing sometimes, but you see it, and I thank you for it. Maybe the self-doubt just comes with the job. But you are amazing and I can't thank you enough. You make it possible for me to stay at home and do what I love. For that, I am eternally grateful.
To anyone I have forgotten, thank you so much! I will get you next go around. I promise.
