After he got done saying what he had to say, the room was deadly quiet. I don’t know if everyone else was in as much of a shock as I was because that shit was crazy. Lady, a setup bitch?

“How we know you ain’t make that shit up off the top of your head?” Ry asked.

“Come on now, man, do you think I would really have my ass down here if I feel like she didn’t owe me something? Fucking around with Lady, I went into debt and owe a lot of niggas some money that I don’t have. She got the shit and I want it. I don’t have to fucking lie, I know that girl better than she knows herself, like I said, I groomed her. She does this whole little innocent act, acts like she’s shy or whatever, you fall for it, you get a dose of that sweet, wet, tight pussy and it’s a wrap. She’ll act like she’s there for you and so in love with you, until she gets what she wants from you and then she brings it home to daddy. As many times as she’s tried to leave, she always found her way back home. With me,” this nigga said like he was trying to prove a point.

I know my mama said take everything he said with a grain of salt, but this shit was sounding too good not to be true. The whole thing he described about Lady’s routine, is how I got caught up with her ass so I couldn’t help but to think if I was just another pawn in this fucking scheme she was running. Even looking at my brother, he was looking like he wasn’t too sure about Lady at this point.

  Twenty Seven – Lady

I had something I wanted to share with Sire and I wasn’t sure how he was going to take it, so I did something romantic for him to make things go smoother. I had candles lit, Champagne chilling on ice, soft slow jams and lingerie. I knew he would be home any minute but the longer I waited, the more nervous I got. Finally, I heard the security system beep to let me know he was home so I decided to meet him halfway.

When I got to the bottom of the stairs, I damn near passed out at the sight before.

  “Wh…what are you doing here?”

“Surprise baby, you miss me?” Omar asked with a smile. “Damn you look good, all this for me?”

I was in so much shock that I couldn’t even talk. I was just standing there looking stuck on stupid as my present and my past stared me down. It wasn’t even registering to me how the hell these two knew each other. Was I being played the whole time?

“Oh damn, y’all do know each other, huh? And here I was thinking that this nigga was lying on you and just throwing salt on your name because there was no way in hell the Lady he talked about was the Lady I knew,” Sire said.

“What the fuck did you tell him?” I asked through gritted teeth as I fought back my tears.

There was no way in hell that this was happening to me. It seemed that no matter what I did, I just couldn’t get rid of Omar. Not even in a whole other state and city. This man had been toxic to my life since I started fucking high school. No matter how far I tried to get away from him, he just seemed to keep finding me and fucking up my life more and more.

  “Sire, please I—”

I put my head down because I didn’t want to answer that question. That was a part of my life that I worked hard to forget about. I wasn’t that girl anymore. I left the old Lady in that motel room back in Detroit all those months ago. I wasn’t her anymore, I didn’t want to be her anymore.

“I guess that would be a yes,” Omar said.

  “ANSWER ME!” Sire’s voice boomed.

I damn near jumped out of my skin at the sound of Sire’s voice.

“Yes,” I said just above a whisper.

“Wow, you’re good. I mean you’re really good. You had my ass fooled. Here I am thinking I found a woman that I actually wanted to build with and the whole time you were playing my ass. I’m just happy I know what it is now before shit got too late and I ended up with my brains blown out in the middle of the night.”

I wasn’t going to lie, I felt the sting of his words. That was a touchy subject for me because that was the first man that I actually cared about. He made me really want to stop this shit I was doing with Omar and get my life together. Then Omar killed him for no reason, that was never part of the plan and he knew it. He had no reason to kill him.

  “What? Sire, no, I never—”

“You can have her,” he told Omar, cutting me off.

“Gladly,” Omar said as he walked towards me.

“No! Sire nooooo!” I yelled as I fought with all my might to get away from Omar.

I was swinging wildly at him but it never deterred him from doing what he came here to do and that was get ahold of me.

“Calm your ass down!” Omar gritted.

“Sire, please! He’s going to kill me! I…” Omar muffled up my mouth so I couldn’t say what I had to say.

All my attempts to get Sire to change his mind were of no use. He looked at me with emotionless eyes as he shut the door, while Omar carried me out as I continued to kick and try to fight him off me. The last thing I remembered was being thrown in the back of a truck and hitting my head on something that knocked me out instantly.

When I came to, I was in a room tied to a bed so that I couldn’t move. I had no idea where I was at and I knew his ass didn’t get me back to Detroit that damn fast. I let out a groan as I felt an excruciating pain in my head. The door to the room opened and the devil himself walked in. I swear if I had a gun and could reach out, I would put a few bullets in his head.

He walked over to the bed and just stared down at me. I turned my head, refusing to even look at him. I was pissed off, hurt, disgusted, and frustrated all at the same time. I just couldn’t understand why he won’t just leave me alone.

“Damn Lady Love,” Omar sighed, calling me the name he loved calling me. “Look how you got me out here acting. This shit ain’t even me. You gave that nigga a taste of my pussy, didn’t you?” he asked as he ran his hands over my thighs and tried to touch my personal place.

I jerked my leg away from him as best as I could, seeing as how he had my ass tied up like I wasn’t shit.

“Fuck you, bitch, and die slow. You’re just pissed off about the fact that I love and have feelings for a nigga that ain’t you. You ain’t never meant shit to me and you know that, that’s why you killed Michael,” I read his ass.

I wasn’t about to give his ass the satisfaction of seeing me shed one tear or beg. That’s exactly what his ass wanted and he thrives off that shit. I saw his jaw twitching and I knew I had his ass. They say the truth hurts and right now this nigga was hurting like hell.

“That’s cute and all Lady, but where that nigga at now? Right, he fed your ass to the wolves and bout won’t give a damn about you after I’m done with you. He’ll just have the next bitch sitting in your spot. Or should I say the one you thought you had. Don’t worry though baby, we’ll be back in Detroit soon. Maybe only one of us will make it alive,” he said before walking out of the room.

I laid my head back and sighed as I closed my eyes and prayed. I asked God to would help me make it out of this one alive.

  Twenty Eight – Omar

“What you gonna do with her, man? You had her ass sitting in here for three days straight and we ain’t made no moves yet. We came down here to get her and the money. We got her so where’s the money?” Shooter asked.

I had been trying everything in my power to break Lady but her ass was still putting on that tough girl act. The shit was pissing me off because usually I would be able to get what I want out of her by now. She done get down here with this new nigga and got to feeling herself or some shit. She wanted to be so tough but I knew she wasn’t as tough as she was trying to act.

“I got it man, just chill out,” I said as I got up.

I walked to the room where we had been holding her and opened the door. She was laid out on the bed looking like she was close to giving in. Her ass hadn’t eaten shit since she’d been here, and I’ve only been giving her enough water to keep her alive until she told me where the fuck the money was.

“Wake the fuck up,” I said
as I slapped her.

  “Bitch,” she said.

“Where the fuck is my money?” I asked, ignoring the fact that she had just called me out of my name.

“I don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about,” she said through dry and cracked lips.

“Don’t fucking play with me Lady, alright?” I gritted. “Where the fuck is my $45,000 you stole from me, bitch?” I asked as I grabbed her face.

Next thing I knew, she hawked a wad of spit right in my face. I bit my lip and to contain my anger as I used the hem of my shirt to wipe my face. My patience with this bitch was getting thinner and thinner. I was two seconds away from just killing her ass and saying to hell with it.

“Fuck you! After everything I did to get that money, that shit belonged to me. Get the fuck out my face with that bullshit,” she spat.

“What’s the word, man?” Shooter asked as he came to the door. “This bitch got the money or what?”

“She ain’t saying shit,” I told him.

“Well, I got something that will light a fire under her ass,” Shooter said as he pulled his gun out and grabbed Lady by her hair.

He went to say something but was halted when he got the same result that I did. Lady spit right in his face, but I knew her ass was about to be done for because Shooter wasn’t about to play with her ass.

“Dumb bitch,” Shooter said as he wiped her face.

  “Aye man, do—”

“Fuck that!” he said as he pointed his gun at her and pulled the trigger.

  POW

I stood there stuck as I looked at the bullet hole that was in Lady’s chest. Oh shit, I thought as I watched her head fall back on the bed and her body go limp.
