Stepbrothers Stepping Out: With His Friends

He opened his arms, accepting my weight as I straddled his lap and sank on his cock. “Got anything left for me?” he said with his one-sided smile.

Face to face, we fucked while the other two watched. Over his shoulder, I caught Caleb’s gaze and held it. He had yet to come, was waiting for something, maybe to have me to himself.

Bradley held my hips as I moved fast, up and down his cock. I was still slick inside, my inner walls still engorged. It wouldn’t take much to come again. Planting my hands on his shoulders I increased my depth and speed, my breasts bouncing, the tips catching in his chest hair.

He lifted a hand and brought it down hard on one cheek of my ass, and I gave a yelp, but I didn’t pause, so he did it again and again, until my cheek burned as hot as my channel. I couldn’t catch my breath, couldn’t speak. But sound poured from me, strange keening moans, that broke each time he slapped.

And then John Wayne was there against my back, his hand sliding over my hip and around my belly. He flicked my clit with a callused tip, and I cried out one last time and rode the cresting wave with Bradley jerking against me as he came.

When I came back, I lay on the platform, cradled between both men who were talking to each other while their hands stroked my breasts and hips.

“We too much for you?” John Wayne whispered in my ear.

A snort was all the answer I had the energy to give.

  They both chuckled.

Bradley tweaked my breast. “I’m going for a swim.” He glanced over his shoulder at Caleb who still sat quietly, watching us. “Can you get her back to the cabin by yourself?”

I gave a little growl, not liking they thought I was some helpless little thing, but I was sleepy and sore. Maybe they had a point.

“I’ll get her to bed,” Caleb said, nothing in his even voice telling me how he was feeling about this now that it had happened.

The men disentangled themselves from me and dove into the water.

Caleb pushed up and stood, then bent to take my hand. He pulled me up and held me against his chest. “Wasn’t as much fun as I thought it would be.”

I held still, not looking upward. Had my enthusiasm repulsed him somehow? Should I have shown more resistance? “This was your idea,” I whispered.

  “Yeah, but I didn’t know…”

  “What?”

  “That I’d be jealous.”

Forcing my expression to remain neutral, I glanced upward. “Should I leave?”

His eyebrows lowered. “I’m not angry with you. I’m mad at myself. I did this. I joined in.”

Anger built inside my chest, and I pushed against him, trying to pull away, but he wouldn’t let go. “I need a bath.”

  “Yes, you do.”

  “You’re a bastard.”

“And you’re…” He took a deep breath and glanced skyward. “You’re hot as hell, Tamara. Fucking beautiful.” When he looked down again, his gaze cut like a knife. “But I can’t do this again.” His arms fell away.

I took a step backward then quickly turned and leapt into the water.

When I’d finished showering, I straightened my shoulders and headed into the living area of the cabin. It was quiet. Growing dark. Light shone from the kitchen. The aroma of steaks cooking made my stomach rumble, and I remembered I hadn’t eaten since that morning when I’d stopped for a breakfast sandwich at a drive thru before leaving Houston.

When I entered the kitchen, it was to find Caleb there, tending two steaks on the grill, frowning at the stovetop. “Where are the guys?”

  “They left.”

I blew out a breath and looked at my toes. “Are you okay? Are they?”

“We talked. They understand.” Something clinked against the counter. “Look at me, Tamara.”

I glanced upward, blinking rapidly because tears were beginning to fill my eyes.

His voice lost its edginess, and he sighed. “Dammit, come here.”

I came to his side, and wrapped my arms around him, breathing in his scent—a mixture of soap and him. “They’re your best friends.”

“And they still are. But they both told me to get my head screwed on right. To tell you that I love you.”

  “What?”

He grunted, and some of the tension in his mouth eased as he gave me a crooked smile. “They said I love you and you love me. And then they asked me what the fuck I was doing?”

  “They said I love you?”

  “Don’t you?”

My glance fell away. “Of course, I do—”

“Don’t you dare say it’s because I’m your brother.”

“I wasn’t.” I lifted my head to lock my gaze with his. “I was going to add, that I don’t expect you to feel the same way I do.”

“You barely blinked when I said I wanted to share you with them.”

“Because I was already mad as hell they were here. And then…I figured, if it was something you really needed…I should be all right with it.”

  “You weren’t?”

I rolled my eyes. “In the moment, I was. But as soon as it was over…” Tears burned my eyes again. “It felt like a mistake. The way you looked at me, I thought you were done with me.”

Caleb turned off the stove and keeping one arm around me, used tongs to pick up the steaks and set them on a platter. “These are going to get cold.”

I didn’t question him as he took hold of my hand and led me through the cabin to his bedroom. Once inside, I stood without speaking as he peeled away his clothing, and then quickly removed mine. Then he drew me to the bed, tugging me down to lie beside him, both of us on our sides facing each other.

Shadows deepened around us as the dusk turned to night. He was faced away from the window, so I couldn’t see his expression. No doubt the moonlight shining on mine allowed him to see everything. I took a big breath. “What are we doing, Caleb?”

He laid his palm alongside my cheek. “I wanted this to be a week you’d never forget.”

I made a little huffing sound. “Well, you succeeded.”

“We won’t have this place anymore to come to during our breaks. We won’t have holidays to bring us together. Your mom’s in San Antonio. My dad’s staying in Austin.”

“Which isn’t far. We could still manage to see each other.”

  “But we won’t be together.”

I gave a short laugh although my chest was tightening. Was this his way of saying goodbye? “Caleb…what are you trying to tell me?”

He moved his hand, reaching for mine, then brought it to his mouth. He kissed my fingers, then laid my palm against his chest, over his heart. “I don’t want us to end. For this to be it.”

“And you needed your friends to fuck me before you told me that?” So, my voice was rising. He was an idiot!

“I…I wasn’t lying when I said I got off remembering every time I caught you with one of them. But what I didn’t say was I always imagined I was the one with you.”

I frowned, knowing there wasn’t any way he could miss how angry I was getting. “I came here to spend the week with you. I could have gone anywhere. Hell, my roommate’s on a cruise. I could have been on a damn boat sipping mojitos, but I chose to be here, with you!”

  “Your point?”

Was he laughing at me? “My point, moron, is that I’ve loved you for years. And while you liked playing Peeping Perv, I let you watch because I wanted you!”

  “Peeping Perv?”

I began to roll away, ready to jump off the bed and stomp away, but he laid his hand on my hip right on top of one of the tender spots Bradley had left. I gasped.

But he didn’t move his hand. Instead, he stroked my hip, seeming to find every single hot finger mark his buddy had made. “You wanted me. Even in high school?”

“Since the minute our parents introduced us, then promptly left us alone while they went on their honeymoon.”

“I thought you were pretty cute. But I wondered if your face was always red.”

  “You told
me I was pretty for a redhead.”

His smile flashed white in the shadows. “You’re angry.”

I didn’t like his self-satisfied tone. “That doesn’t mean I’m going to let you fuck me this time.”

“You don’t fuck everyone who pisses you off?”

I gave him my deadliest glare. “Just your friends.”

He pinched one of the welts on my ass. “Because you know it pisses me off.”

  “I didn’t know that.”

“Of course you did. It’s why I didn’t break their necks. If I couldn’t have you, I wanted to watch.”

“But you could have. We’ve never… I never…thought of you as my brother.”

“But we were. By marriage. And that’s about to end.”

Say it. Please say it, Caleb.

“Baby, there’s nothing keeping us apart. Not anymore. We don’t have to sneak around. Don’t have to pretend we aren’t…together.”

“But we won’t be. I’m in Houston; you’re in Austin.”

  “I’m transferring.”

He said it so quietly, I thought I’d only imagined it. “To Rice?”

His hand gripped my cheek harder, and he pulled me against his body. His cock was thick and jutting against my belly. “To Rice. It’s already in the works.”

“You decided this? Before speaking to me?” I slapped his shoulder. “Because you want to make sure you have a fuck buddy before you come?”

Before I could draw another breath, he had my wrists stretched above my head and was rolling on top of me. He nudged between my legs, found my entrance, and pushed inside.

I tried to resist, squeezing to keep him out, but he was insistent, driving all the way up until I was full. Stretched. And now he knew how wet I was.

“I had to take the chance. See if you felt the same way I do. And if you didn’t, I wasn’t going to give up.” He rested his forehead against mine. “I’m crazy about you. Tell me you don’t feel the same way, too.”

And then he began to move inside me, shallow movements. At first. Rubbing inside my walls, building that sweet heat.

Tears leaked from my eyes into my hair. I lifted my head and kissed him. And then he moved faster, thrust harder. Soon he was cupping my ass to bring me closer and I was wound around him, arms and legs, hugging him so tightly neither of us could breathe.

When we came, we didn’t make a sound. We simply sighed into each other’s mouths. Sharing our breaths. Our tears.

We rested for a while, bodies still connected.

Caleb rubbed his cheek against mine. “Dad’s springing for an apartment. Part of the settlement he promised your mom. She insisted. Said it was plain as day we belonged together.”

  I laughed. “They know?”

“Of course. They both sat me down for the talk last Thanksgiving when you were out with friends. To make sure I was using protection.”

  “I’m on the pill.”

“I told them that. It’s why your mom didn’t say a word. I told her you’d feel awkward if they let on.”

  “And you didn’t?”

I felt him shrug. “I wouldn’t have cared if the whole world knew.” He kissed my cheek. “Still don’t.”

“And…what happened today. Does it change anything?”

He held me tighter. “I’m sorry about how I reacted. I knew exactly what buttons to push. But I think I was…nervous. I wasn’t sure you were in the same place I was. I thought I could show you that being with me wouldn’t be…confining.”

“And if I want more? If I want this to be…exclusive? Just you and me?”

  “Baby, I’m yours.”

“I don’t need anyone else. Never did.”

Something hard nudged my hip. I turned and let him nudge toward my center. “I’m starting to see the advantages of us living together.”

  “Are you?”

  “Maybe you could remind me.”

When he drove into me, I may have winced, but that didn’t stop me from digging my nails into his back to urge him on. We had a week to learn to be a couple. I had a week to make sure he’d have no regrets. Starting now.

“But what about your friends?” I asked. “I hate the way they left.”

Without changing rhythm, Caleb chuckled. “They’ll be back tomorrow. They wanted to know whether you’d blow a gasket when I told you about my plans. Oh, and they’re bringing Danny with them. You remember him?”

I couldn’t help it. I started to laugh. “Did you invite everyone I ever dated to spend the weekend with us?”

Caleb gave me a hard kiss then rolled to his back, taking me with him. “Only the ones who’ve had this privilege. Just wanted to make sure they all know you’re taken. I didn’t miss anyone, did I?”

I didn’t answer. After today, he deserved to sweat for a minute or two.

  Excerpt from DREAM OF ME

Ash stared after his disappearing figure. Sam Blalock seemed nice enough, on the surface. And he’d been a friend of Marc’s. She knew she should trust him. But something about the way he’d studied her with his short glances throughout the drive irritated. She’d noted them from the corner of her eye while she’d pretended not to notice.

An element about him was familiar. Something that drew her toward him. And she resented the fact he was attractive, if not overtly handsome. He was too rugged, his jaw too square and stubborn, his nose bumpy from being broken. And his voice was too inviting—warm and deep, a little raspy.

Maybe she resented him because he felt familiar, because several aspects about him reminded her of Marc. That realization had her stiffening against his friendly overtures, almost from the start. Her attraction felt like a betrayal—of Marc, of her own body.

She set her duffel on the soft, flower-sprigged duvet covering the king-sized bed and jerked open the zipper. Her clothing and toiletries were a wild jumble. She’d simply tossed items into her bag, hurrying to escape her apartment. Sighing, she lifted the bag and emptied the contents onto the bed.

Her navy and white, two-piece swimsuit landed on top of the pile. Of course, she wasn’t going swimming in the middle of the night with a stranger. That was plain crazy.

But through the glass door, she could hear the gentle lapping of the waves and smell the sea-fresh air. And moonlight glinted silver on the porch railing and over the crests of the distant waves. She fingered the suit. A swim would feel lovely. How long since she’d swam in salt water? Years. Which was why even the mention of the less-than-pristine beaches of Grand Isle hadn’t seemed so bad when Marc had teased her.

Marc had wanted to bring her here. He’d still want her to enjoy the accommodations he’d arranged. She knew that for a fact. And she would be safer with his friend’s company, at least while swimming in a dark ocean.

Just as she had in her apartment, she quit thinking, and instead moved in jerking dashes, grabbing her suit and heading to the bathroom to change. Inside a minute, she walked barefoot out the French doors, down the wooden steps to the paved path that lead through a tiny garden and to the gate that opened onto the sand.

Sam had been faster. She saw his frame outlined by the moonlight, a large dark shadow that caused her bre
ath to catch. From the back, his build was so like Marc’s that she pressed a hand to a painful twinge twisting in her chest.

He stood at the edge of the water, waves lapping at his ankles. Her feet made soft crunching sounds in the sand, so he turned and smiled. “You can swim, right?”

“Think an ex-SEAL would tolerate a girlfriend who couldn’t?” she quipped, then blinked in surprise that she’d dredged up a barb.

His teeth flashed white. “After you,” he said, turning to the side as she strode closer.

A long strip of beach offered plenty of room to play, but her inner minx coaxed her into passing close by his body as she walked into the waves. Maybe she wanted to see if she could make him uncomfortable. Maybe she just wanted a closer look at what the moonlight defined in silver and shadow.

For months, she hadn’t felt a spark of curiosity about another human being. But here she was, wondering about this man who stood so still she couldn’t detect the rise and fall of his chest as she passed.

A foamy wave lapped at her toes, and she almost groaned. The sensation was like wet silk. Glorious. And now she wanted it wrapped around her entire body. She took several more steps then dove into an oncoming wave.

She swam to the middle of the inlet, then rolled to her back and floated, letting the gentle swells lift and lower her body while she stared at the starry sky above. It seemed like all the stars of the Milky Way winked down on her. What would this night have been like if Marc had lived?

She had no doubt he’d have cajoled her into a swim upon their arrival. And maybe talked her into making love in the shallows. Lord, how she missed his spontaneity. His joy of simple pleasures. Mostly, she missed the way he looked at her—like she was something beautiful and mysterious. How often had he asked what she was thinking, because he wanted to know how her mind worked, to learn what made her happy. He was always so observant—of her and their surroundings. How had he missed the figure hidden behind the door?

Chilled now, she dropped her feet and dog-paddled, staring at the light blinking in the window of the cottage Marc had secured for their getaway. She was glad of the darkness that hid the tears welling in her eyes. She dipped her head backward, and then shook her hair.
