TWISTED MAYHEM (A Devil Call MC Book) (Talon & Everly Book Four) (Devil Call MC Talon & Everly 4)

I looked beyond Layne, waiting for more guys to come through. But the doors shut and that was it.
“Where’s…” I looked at Layne and froze.
“Don’t worry,” he said. “I’m fine.”
He walked right by me, obviously hurt that I didn’t ask about him over Talon.
Men were fucking babies.
But it didn’t help that my heart, mind, and body were twisted together.
“Buzzy, what the hell happened?” I asked.
Layne stormed to the bar, slammed a fist down, and demanded a drink. A beer appeared a second later. He grabbed it and walked away.
Buzzy looked down at me. “Austin got all fucked up.”
“What? Is he okay?”
“We got him to the hospital,” Buzzy said. “Prospects are watching until we can gather and talk.”
Buzzy turned and grabbed his leather. He spun, twisted his arm, and then grabbed me. He showed his teeth, his eyes flared.
“Careful,” he whispered. “Your little boyfriends aren’t here to protect you.”
“What happened out there?”
“Easy now,” Buzzy said. “The blood isn’t Layne’s. It’s Austin’s. And as for Talon? I don’t know where he is right now. He was stopped by that detective. Is that good enough for you?”
“Fucking asshole.”
“That’s right. Now if we’re done talking, you can either walk away or turn around and bend over.”
I growled and swung my hand. I slapped Buzzy right across the face. And damn, did that feel good. Buzzy stared at me, debating what to do to me. Before Talon was out of prison, he would have cracked me across the face. He would have taken me by the throat and done whatever his heart desired. But not anymore. Not with Talon out and Talon having power within the MC. While Talon wasn’t wearing the President’s patch, he still had more command in the clubhouse than anyone else.
I walked away from Buzzy and made a line for the hallway. I didn’t stop until I was at Layne’s door. Maybe I should have knocked, considering I wasn’t actually in his room anymore, but I didn’t care. I opened the door and went right inside. I caught Layne as he peeled a bloody white shirt off his massive body. He quickly rolled it up and turned around, facing me. My eyes couldn’t help but look at the cuts of thick muscle on his beautiful body. My mind went back to think about snow and cold, knowing that Layne’s big body would definitely keep me warm all night.
“What’s wrong?” he asked.
“You tell me,” I said. “You’re covered in blood. Are you okay?”
“Now you give a shit?”
“I always give a shit, Layne. You left as a group and didn’t return that way. What do you want to me think?”
Layne held the shirt out. “It’s not my blood. Austin’s blood. Rilen Lost got him and were probably going to kill him. We broke it up at the last second, but his mouth was all fucked up.”
“His mouth?”
“He had a hole in his cheek.”
I covered my mouth and my stomach gurgled. “Oh…”
“Yeah. He was able to stand. He rode on the back of my ride. Detective John was waiting for us in the middle of the road. I went by, not needing him to see what had happened. Talon hung back and I kept going. I got Austin to the hospital and as I carried him in, his face was rubbing against my body. That’s where the blood came from.”
My stomach flipped again.
“Christ,” I whispered. “Where’s Talon?”
“I don’t know. I thought he’d be back by now. He’ll be back soon. Don’t worry.”
“I’m…”
“Don’t lie to me,” Layne said. “You’re worried.”
“I’m always worried,” I cried out. “About you. About him. About this club. It’s all engraved in my fucking mind, Layne.”
Layne swallowed. He threw the shirt into a trashcan and then stepped toward me. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to act jealous.”
“It’s okay,” I whispered. In fact, it was better than okay. It was cute. It was sexy. It kind of made me feel like he wanted me… “I was worried about you too, Layne. I don’t like blood anymore.”
“Anymore?”
“I never liked blood,” I said with a grin. “But it’s just worse now. There’s so much, Layne.”
“I know. That’s how it goes in this life. The ups and downs. It’s bad. Right now it’s going to keep that way until things settle.”
“What’s going to make it settle?”
That question fell with silence. Layne stared at me and didn’t respond. I knew what the answer probably was. Talon. It was all about Talon. He killed Tommy. He attracted the attention of Detective John. He embarrassed Hollis and now Hollis was dead. He almost killed Gabel. He was at war with Layne over the President’s patch. It was all a mess because of Talon. Yet, it seemed that Talon was the only one who could truly lead Devil Call MC.
“I hate all this,” I said.
“I wish I could do something about it,” Layne said. “For you.”
“You can, Layne.”
Silence again.
In the back of my mind I was tempted to say her name. To say Anneliese. The last two times I did it, Layne kissed me. We ended up with our lips and tongues battling so hot. We were so close to ending up on the bed. So close to Layne being inside me.
“Layne… I have to ask you something…”
“Jesus Christ, Everly,” he said, shaking his head. “I can’t do this again.”
“Do what?”
“You’re going to ask questions. Questions that I don’t feel like answering.”
“It’s not about Anneliese,” I said.
Layne’s eyes flared. “Don’t…”
“What? Say her name? I just did.”
Layne turned his head. He shut his eyes. I watched him breathe. The thickness of his body. That warm muscle. That intense strength.
“Fuck, Everly, you can’t go there… not with all this going on. We have debts to settle. Revenge to enact upon. And the club needs to vote a President. We need a path. We need a purpose. Then we could take some time and sit around, worrying about the past.”
“You try to be so hard and tough,” I said. “But I see it in your eyes, Layne. How hurt you are. How confused you are.”
“Maybe I am,” Layne growled. He stepped toward me. There was just a few inches between me and his body. “So fucking what? I don’t have time to deal with all that shit right now.”
I slowly lifted my hands and touched Layne’s chest. My fingers curled, nails dug a little into him. I scratched at him, feeling his flesh. My lips were hungry. My insides warm and gooey. I could’ve melted right then, right for Layne.
“You need to deal with all that shit,” I whispered. “It’s going to hurt you. It’s going to kill you on the inside. You’re going to explode someday, Layne. You have to deal with it all. Whatever you feel. It’s okay… whatever happened with Anneliese…”
I did it again and I did it on purpose.
Layne reached up and put his hands to mine. He squeezed them and then he came at me. His lips pressing to mine, tasting delicious. I parted my mouth, my tongue flickering to his lips. Layne exhaled a breath and opened his mouth. Our heads turned and our mouths were then locked tight.
Holy fuck…
My dream. That’s all I could think about. My fucking dream. Layne commanding me. Throwing me around. Slapping his cock off my body. The size. The thickness. The wild intensity of the dream.
We kissed for just a few seconds before Layne turned his head and broke it off. He peeled my nails and fingers from his chest and took a step back. I looked and saw that I had left marks on his body.
Was this really so wrong? No. Talon did whatever the fuck he wanted, when he wanted. After he confessed the secret that he killed Layne’s girlfriend, I needed space for a minute. In that minute he had some whore in the shower with him, jerking him off. So what was the difference now? I needed someone to hold me and touch me. Layne was here, Talon wasn’t.
“Christ, Everly,” Layne said. “Just…”
“I have to ask you something still.”
“Fuck, I’m not talking…”
“It’s not about her,” I said. “Just listen to me.”
“What?” Layne asked. He stepped away and opened a drawer, taking out a shirt.
“I have something to show you,” I said. I reached into my back pocket and took out the picture Detective John had given me. I unfolded it and held it out. “Look at this. Does this mean anything to you?”
Layne looked at the picture and looked at me. “Where the fuck did you get this?”
“Do you know who that is?”
“That’s Talon.”
“Shit.”
“Where did you fucking get this?” Layne asked.
“Did you know him then?”
“Everly…”
“Answer the question,” I said. I grabbed the picture back out of his hand, folded it up, and tucked it away. “Please, Layne…”
“Of course I knew him,” Layne said. “I was about two feet out of the picture. I’ve known Talon for almost my entire life.”
“Christ,” I whispered.
I lowered my head. I knew Layne and Talon were close and had known each other for a long time. I didn’t realize it went back that far though. It only served to make the thought of Talon killing Layne’s girlfriend seem worse. Let alone the fact that Talon confessed to me that he fucked Anneliese at some point too.
“Holy Christ,” I said. “Layne…”
“Where did you get that? Fuck, Everly, you can’t be the one with secrets around here. That shit will get you killed.”
I looked at Layne and felt tears in my eyes. “So then you know about Detective John.”
Layne tensed right up. He had been keeping a secret of his own.
“Everly…”
“Fuck,” I said. “You do have your own secrets then.”
“We all do.”
“Detective John gave me the picture,” I said. “And then he told me…”
“No… Everly…”
I nodded. “He told me… I just want to know if it’s true. What it means. Is Detective John…”
The bedroom door opened. Buzzy came barreling into the room and froze when he saw Layne without a shirt on.
“Whoa,” Buzzy said.
“What?” Layne bellowed.
“You might want to put a shirt on and come out here.”
“What’s wrong now?”
“Talon… he didn’t come back, Layne. He was taken…”
“Taken?” Layne asked.
Layne looked at me.
Taken?
My heart dropped.

4.
(Talon)
The car made a left turn and Jade let her body fall toward me. Her hand touched my leg, slid down and she cupped my cock. Her hand squeezed and she let out a flirty giggle.
“Whoops,” she whispered and took her hand away.
She was dressed to kill. A black dress that must have taken her hours to get into. Blood red heels that matched her blood red lipstick. Whatever makeup she put around her eyes made them look darker, sleeker, and goddamn sexy.
I didn’t want to be turned on, but Jade had something about her.
Sitting across from us, Vaughn adjusted his tie and sipped from a glass.
“You realize taking me like that only brings heat,” I said. “My club…”
“Your club,” Vaughn said with a grin. “The club that’s running wild. The club that has no leader.”
“I’m taking care of things,” I said.
Vaughn leaned forward and pointed. “Where’s your patch then?”
I curled my lip. I leaned toward Vaughn. “Where’s yours?”
Vaughn grinned. “I don’t need one.”
“Neither do I.”
“But you do,” Vaughn said. “You have no power, Talon. You have no control over your MC. You have no control over me. You can’t control Jade.”
“Bite your tongue,” Jade purred. “He could control me. With his tongue, his fingers, his cock…”
Jade’s hand slipped back between my legs. I grabbed her hand and twisted her wrist. She let out a moan and bit her lip.
“Yes, baby,” she said. “Twist harder. Break my fucking wrist.”
“Christ,” I said.
“She’s intense,” Vaughn said.
Jade bent down and kissed my hand, leaving a perfect print of her lips. I twisted her wrist again, wondering what would happen if I actually did break it.
But Jade was smart, sexy, and seductive. She turned and toppled to her knees in the backseat of the car. She put herself at a perfect position, right between my legs. She twisted her hand free and then placed her hands to my knees. Of course, her nails matched her lips and heels.
I swallowed hard, trying to stay focused. Right now I needed to take this ride and find my out in this situation. If it meant letting Jade think she had something with me, so be it. My main concern was going to be how to kill Vaughn.
I looked at him and he lifted his tie and threw it over his shoulder.
“See that position?” he asked with a grin.
“Yes,” Jade groaned. “Oh, yes. Please… let’s do this right now.”
“What the fuck are you talking about?” I asked.
“She wants to suck you off,” Vaughn said. “While I fuck her.”
“You’re her brother,” I said.
“By marriage,” Vaughn said. He winked at me.
I looked down at Jade. She was licking her lips. Her hands crept up my pants until both hands were touching me.
“What the fuck do you both want right now?” I asked. “And not that…” I slapped Jade’s hands away.
She propped up on her knees and pouted.
“Just making sure you know we’re here,” Vaughn said. “Our last meeting went so bad so fast.”
“Maybe you shouldn’t put a fucking gun to the back of my head,” I said. “Just a word of warning.”
“Noted,” Vaughn said.
“We’re still left with a problem,” Jade said. She slowly stood up, bending over as her head approached the roof of the car. As she bent, her breasts tried to pour from her dress. “We lost a really good earner.”
“I’m sure you make enough as it is,” I said. “One loss…”
“That’s not how business works,” Jade said. “We’re all greedy. For one thing or another.”
Jade smiled. She slowly turned and bent over even more. Her face was close to Vaughn’s face. They looked at each for a few seconds and then Jade reached back and hiked up her skirt.
I expected to see panties that matched everything else on Jade. But to my surprise there were no panties. Just bare skin. Silky folds that looked wet. Within seconds I could damn smell her. That sweetness flooded my nose and I looked away.
“What do you want from me?” I asked.
Jade looked over her shoulder. She reached back and placed her middle finger to her center. She made small circles, her blood red nail sliding along her folds, sometimes disappearing into herself.
“You do it,” Jade purred.
“Don’t make her wait,” Vaughn said. “We’ll keep going round and round. All day long, Talon. What do you think your club is going to do right now? Come find you? Come attack us? They don’t know what we’re capable of.”
“I haven’t told them…”
“Of course not,” Vaughn said. “Because we have the power. We have the security footage that could send you away for the rest of your life. And Jade here… oh, can she cry. She’ll make it seem like our dumb uncle was the greatest man to ever live.”
I reached up with a hand and placed it to Jade’s ass. Jade let out a whimper. I brought my hand down and let my thumb flirt with her sex. The wet outer folds of her body. My thumb flicked up and down.
“Fuck,” Jade said. “I can’t just have this. I need it all. I need his cock, Vaughn. Let me ha
ve his cock. Please.”
I moved my hand and grabbed Jade by her hip and pushed her away. She turned and fell back on the seat, now sitting next to Vaughn.
“Fuck,” Jade said. “You can’t just stop.”
Vaughn opened his jacket to reveal a gun.
“What are you doing to do?” I asked. I opened my leather cut to show my gun. Then my knife. Then my second gun. Then my second knife.
“He’s packing,” Vaughn said.
“I can see that,” Jade said and pointed. She giggled.
I couldn’t help the bulge in my jeans. Jade was beautiful. Her pussy was smooth and glistening. I was a man and I had instinctive needs.
“Look, I don’t want a war,” Vaughn said. “That’s not why we’re all here together. In fact, if I wanted you dead, you’d be long gone by now. The security footage is, well, security. For myself. My sweet sister here. Our operation. There is no such thing as posting a loss in our business. There is no such thing as a slowdown. There’s no economic recession because addiction feeds upon itself. Over and over. Growing bigger. There’s no stopping it.” Vaughn rubbed his chin. “Well, with the exception of one thing.”
“A disruption in supply,” Jade said.
“And I caused it,” I said. “I get that.”
“And you’re going to fix it,” Vaughn said.
“After you fuck me first,” Jade said.
“Jade…”
Jade reached for Vaughn’s tie and pulled at him seductively. “What? I want something out of this too.” Jade pouted and slowly pulled at Vaughn’s tie, bringing him closer.
They were inches from kissing when I reached forward and pulled Jade away from Vaughn. I didn’t want her near me, but I didn’t want to see her and Vaughn tongue fuck each other.
Whatever game this was, it was wild and sick. Even for me.
“So what’s the end game here?” I asked. “What exactly do you want from me?”
“We’ll get to all that soon,” Vaughn said. “Just wanted to pay a visit to you. Make sure it’s well known that we are watching.”
The car came to a stop and the backdoor opened. Vaughn tugged at his tie and started to get out. He paused and looked at me, a concerned look on his face.
“I’m sorry about Austin. That was… sick. You guys were close.”
