Insufferable Proximity 2

by Stefani, Z.

She slid down the wall until she was almost on her knees. Julian grabbed her hips and spread her ass. He gave her no warning before thrusting his cock into her.

“Oh god,” she grunted as he slammed into her.

“You think I’d give this up willingly?” he hissed into her ear as he bent over her body. “I would kill for this.”

He began to drive his manhood into her, forcing her body to slide up and down the wall. He wrapped his hand around her body to work on her clit, and circled it with his fingers as he continued to plow into her.

It didn’t take long before Heaven felt the tide break within her. Julian could feel her response and increased the pressure as he slid his hand over her mouth.

Heaven screamed below his hand as the pressure exploded throughout her body. She moaned low in her throat as the orgasm flowed, her body paralyzed by the intense stimulation.

Seeing her response forced him to come. He held her tight as he spewed his seed inside of her.

He pulled out of her, sat on the floor, and pulled her down to sit in his lap. Her back was to his chest, and her legs were sprawled on either side of his thighs.

“Why didn’t you leave when you found out my father wasn’t coming?” he asked her, now that his rage had subsided.

“I thought he was coming; I waited for him before I even started the meeting. Mr. Baker said he would be there soon,” she answered breathlessly.

“He lied to you. He told my father the meeting had been rescheduled.”

“I believed him; I really thought your father was coming,” she frowned in disgust.

“You have to stop working with him, I can’t take it. I’m not used to this—I don’t know how to control it yet,” he admitted. He had enough trouble controlling his rampant sex drive. Now he was supposed to tame his jealousy? It was impossible. There was a lot more to this whole love thing than even he’d realized. One thing he did know—he had no self-control when it came to his emotions.

“I noticed,” she said after she turned around on his lap to face him. “I’m going to stop working with him, but I will be there for Susan when she takes the stand.”

“Well hello, Juliette.” Ronny walked towards her.

“Hello Ronnie,” Juliette cooed as the smile spread across her face.

“I wanted to ask you something.”

  “Sure, what is it?”

“Did you get an invite to the engagement party?”

She nodded. “Yes, I believe everyone did.” She realized that she wasn’t heartbroken over the mention of Julian King’s engagement party. For the first time, she questioned how sincere her obsession with Julian was.

“I was wondering if we could go together.”

“You mean as friends?” Juliette tried not to appear desperate, although she hoped that he meant something more.

  “No, I mean together.”

“Ronnie, are you asking me to be your date for the engagement party?” she gasped and put her hand to her chest.

“Yes, I am. I understand if you don’t want to,” Ronnie began to babble.

“Ronnie,” Juliette tried to get his attention, but he kept talking.

“Trust me, I won’t be offended; I would understand. I would be hurt, but I would understand.”

Juliette smiled. “I would love to be your date for the party.”

  “Really?”

  “Yes.”

  “You’re not joking?”

  “No.”

“Yes!” He jumped up and clapped his hands, gaining the attention of the nearby employees. “You’ve made me a very happy man, Juliette; a very happy man indeed.”

Juliette couldn’t stop the giggles, as Ronnie’s excitement was contagious.

  ***

“You’re going on a date with Ronnie?” Lila asked. Even though she had sex with Ronnie, she didn’t particularly care about him. Ronnie was virtually harmless with the exception of his mouth. His loose tongue would be the death of him.

  Or her.

Juliette was the last person that Lila wanted to know her secrets. Although Lila was very careful around Ronnie, there were things that she couldn’t prevent him from seeing.

  “Yes.”

“I’d advise against it, dear. Ronnie is cheap, and he’s terrible in bed,” Lila said candidly.

“Well, since I have my own money, and I don’t put out on the first date, that shouldn’t be a problem,” Juliette answered as she raised her chin.

“I just assumed that you had higher standards than to settle for your friend’s…“ she paused with a look of concern, “…how shall I put it without being crude…” she looked down her nose at Juliette, “…your friend’s leftovers. I mean, it’s a bit like chewing my regurgitated food, isn’t it?””

Juliette raised her brows. “Well, that would leave slim pickings since my friend has so many leftovers.”

“What are you insinuating, Juliette dear?”

“Nothing, Lila dear,” Juliette said insincerely, “if you’ll excuse me.”

Lila frowned as she watched Juliette leave.

Gloria was sitting alone in the cafeteria when Juliette sat down next to her. She set a plate of cookies on the table.

“Have one, I made them fresh this morning,” Juliette said and then scoffed. “Actually, I bought them at the bakery by my house this morning, but freshly-baked cookies sound so much better. Doesn’t it?”

  “What do you want, Juliette?”

“Nothing.” She shrugged and grabbed a cookie. “You’re secret is safe with me.”

  “Is it?”

“Yes, it is. I think the two of you are a good match. His wife hates him, she always has. You should have heard some of the evil things that she’s said to him over the years. Truly despicable.”

“Why are you doing this? What do you want in return?”

“What do you know about Ronnie?” Juliette got to the point.

“The security guard for the building?”

  “Yes.”

“I know he had something going with Lila during the saboteur days.”

  “The whole time?”

“No, just towards the end, I think. Why?”

“He’s nice,” Juliette looked sad for a moment, “but I’ve heard so many bad things about him.”

  “From Lila?”

  “Among others.”

“Don’t believe everything everyone tells you; especially if it’s from Lila Strain. Lila’s poison.”

“I’m finding that out.” Juliette slid the plate of cookies to Gloria, “They’re for you.”

  “Poison?”

“No, more a peace offering,” she replied as she rose from the table

Gloria watched her leave and wondered how the little green aliens were able to overpower Juliette’s brain. Whatever their choice of weapon, they had done a good job—because that was not Juliette. It looked like Juliette and sounded like Juliette. It even had the same bad taste in clothing as Juliette, but that was not Juliette.

“I’m in the fucking twilight zone,” Gloria exhaled as she shook her head.

  The Engagement party

Heaven walked down the stairs and Julian inhaled sharply, stunned by her beauty. Her hair was fashioned in tousled curls and bounced with each step. Her red dress hugged her curves in an illicit way that put him in beast mode. He suddenly wanted to attack her and drag her back to his den for the rest of the night.

“I can’t let you leave in that dress,” he said as she stood on the steps before him.

  “You don’t like it?”

“I like it too much. If you wear that dress tonight, I can guarantee a million trips to our private room,” he said with a grin before he kissed her neck.

  “You got a private room?”

“Of course I did.” He kissed her lips and groaned when he pulled back, “Let’s reschedule this party.”

“Everyone is already there waiting for our grand entrance.”

>   “Let them wait.”

“No,” she pouted as she shook her head.

“No?” he gave her his best puppy-dog eyes.

She kissed him. “No. I’m too excited to announce our engagement. I can’t wait to tell everyone.”

“Then we should get out of here now before I change my mind and call off the party,” he joked. He picked her up and carried her out of the house.

“You look amazing tonight, Sevigne,” Alice said as she opened the back of the limousine for them.

“Why are you driving the limo? You’re a guest at the party, Alice,” Heaven frowned.

Alice smiled broadly. “I prefer to drive the two of you. I didn’t like the look of the temporary driver. He seemed a little sketchy. I’ll get you there safely.”

“You’re the best limo driver in the world. You need to give her a raise, Julian,” Heaven declared.

“Already done,” he nodded as he sat Heaven in the car.

  ***

The banquet hall was decorated in white, and lightly accented in red. That was what Heaven wanted, and Julian made it happen. The day before, he’d called Stevie Zell, one of NY’s hottest interior and fashion designers. He had asked her to redo the room for his engagement party and to meet with Heaven. After talking to Heaven for 15 minutes, Stevie Zell had drawn up a design that brought tears to Heaven’s eyes.

Heaven once again felt the sting of unshed tears as she walked into her engagement party. Stevie Zell had brought the picture to life.

“It’s perfect.” Heaven smiled and kissed Julian on the cheek.

“I deserve more than a kiss on the damn cheek,” he whispered in her ear.

“You’re so right.” She grabbed his face and laid a big kiss on his lips. “Wait until I get you alone.”

Sybille smiled as she ran over to them. “You look beautiful, darling.”

  “Thank you, Mother.”

“And you are looking mighty dapper, my handsome boy,” Sybille squealed as she patted Julian’s shoulder.

  Julian grinned. “Thank you.”

“Coco is grabbing our drinks; I ordered a special batch for us. Oh, there’s Ayden.” Sybille waved to him.

“I’ll be right back,” Julian kissed Heaven again before he headed over to his father.

Heaven leaned in to hug her mother and whispered in her ear, “Remember, no brothel talk, and if anyone asks, you’re not a Madame.”

“What shall I say? Who shall I be?” Sybille was ready to put her acting chops to good use.

  Heaven smiled widely. “You pick.”

“I’ve always wanted to be a clothing designer or a nurse. Or maybe a chef,” Sybille chuckled as her eyes widened.

“Well hello, Ms. Deville.” Heaven and her mother turned to see Gloria standing there.

“Gloria, darling?” Sybille squealed as she grabbed the girl in a big hug. “Where have you been, you just disappeared?”

“You were right about that guy,” Gloria said with sadness in her eyes.

“That evil bastard! Did he hurt you?” Sybille was alarmed.

“Let’s just say that I learned my lesson, and I should have listened to you,” Gloria admitted.

“I didn’t know the two of you were so close,” Heaven smirked at their reunion.

“Yes, dear; I’m surprised you don’t remember her. Glowey Jean?” Sybille raised her perfectly arched brow.

“Glowey Jean? That girl whom I found unconscious on the front steps?” Heaven asked her mother as she recalled the day. She looked at Gloria with shock and horror written all over her face.

Sybille grinned. “The one and only.”

“Sevigne!” The women turned to see Petal running towards them.

Petal wore a cotton-candy pink gown that shimmered with each step. The bright light from the chandelier bounced off the mounds of crystal-infused costume jewelry and gave her a glowing appearance.

“I’ll be right back,” Heaven informed her mother before walking towards Petal.

“Congratulations, lovey.” Petal hugged Heaven and kissed her cheek.

“Thank you. Remember, no brothel talk,” she felt it was important to remind her.

“Of course not. I got you a special engagement present.” She handed her the small red suitcase, “But don’t open it until you’re alone. You’re liable to send your guests into cardiac arrest.”

“I can only imagine.” Heaven smiled as Petal giggled.

“Trust me; you are going to love this. You’ll be thanking me later,” she purred as she winked at her.

“Oh, there’s Sybille and Coco.” Petal rushed over to them.

  “Sevigne?”

Heaven turned to see Juliette with a present in her hand.

  “Yes.”

“I wanted to give this to you.” She handed her the white box with the big red bow.

  “Thank you.”

“I also wanted to apologize for any trouble,” she shrugged her shoulders awkwardly.

Heaven smiled. “It’s water under the bridge; thank you for coming.”

  ***

“You’re looking lovely tonight,’ Ian said as he stood next to Gloria.

“Thank, Mr. King, you’re looking spectacular yourself.”

“I thought you were going to stop calling me Mr. King?” he asked as he took a step closer to her.

“I thought you preferred that I did?”

“I prefer Ian.” He brought her hand up to his lips and kissed it.

There was a loud collective gasp as the secretaries watched Ian kiss Gloria’s hand.

“You’re drunk.” It was a statement, not a question.

  “A little,” Ian shrugged.

  ***

Julian was looking for Heaven when he saw Lila coming towards him. She was trying to be sexy, but she was too drunk. She looked more like a staggering drunkard with twitchy hips.

“What are you doing here?” he asked.

“I thought everyone from work was invited.”

  “You weren’t invited.”

“I thought maybe you’d want to see me. You know—maybe one last time before your wedding.”

“No, I don’t want to see you, get out of here,” Julian barked at her. He was feeling disrespected.

“Just one last time, King. No one will ever find out, no one will ever know.” She tried to rub against him, but he stepped away from her.

  “It will never happen.”

“If it weren’t for that bitch, you’d still want me, wouldn’t you. Just admit it.”

“Don’t you fucking call her that! I want you out of here.” He shook his head and took a step to leave.

“Wait!” Lila grabbed his arm “Are you sure you don’t want one last taste, King; you know how submissive I can be. I’ll let you do whatever your heart desires. Don’t forget how good we are together.” She pressed her body tightly against his and grabbed his cock.

“Get the fuck off me!” He grabbed her arms and yanked them back. He was ready to toss her across the room when he heard Heaven’s voice.

“Really Lila? At my engagement party? I didn’t think anyone could be as desperate as you, but you managed even to outdo yourself. Bravo,” Heaven taunted her as she walked towards them.

  “You’re just jealous, Sevigne Deville.”

  “Jealous of what?”

“That I had him first, and you know in your heart that he still wants me.”

“Get out of here! You’re delusional!” Julian roared.

“No, let her keep going…this is hilarious,” Heaven smirked mockingly. “Why should we stop her from making a fool of herself when she’s doing such a phenomenal job at it?”

“This thing between the two of you won’t last,” she slurred at Heaven, angered by her mocking disregard.
