“Hello Nadia, are you ok?” I said.

“Great! Finally you answer. Can I come over to your house now?” she asked.

“Sure if you want to,” I said excited.

“I really need to see you,” Nadia said sounding anxious.

“Ok,” is all I had the chance to say in response, as Nadia ended the call.

  ***

Vlad pulled up to the driveway of Cyrus’s house. It was just past 10 a.m. He felt awkward about the early morning visit, but Nadia’s sense of urgency and passion had made it difficult to say no. Susanne had accompanied them relishing the opportunity to meet Cyrus’s family.

Vlad, Susanne and Nadia got out of the car and walked up the path to the entrance of the house.

“What a beautiful house and elegant front garden,” Susanne observed. Vlad nodded in agreement.

The house was large and semi-detached with three bedrooms. It was immaculately maintained, reflecting Megan’s house-proud nature. Before Vlad could knock, the door was opened.

“Good morning everyone! Please come in,” Megan said standing by the open door.

Vlad and Susanne entered the house and stood in the hallway. Aiyana smiled at them both mischievously. Vlad smiled back, adding a wink.

“Megan, it is good to see you again. Sorry it is so early!” Nadia said choked with emotion as she entered the house after her parents.

“You are welcome anytime,” Megan replied. The two women stood facing each other and then embraced.

“This is my father Vlad and my mother Susanne,” Nadia said to Megan.

Everyone exchanged warm greetings. Then all eyes shifted to Cyrus as he came down the stairs.

  ***

My heart was pounding at the sight of Nadia with my family. I had not seen her for over a month and my eyes took her beauty in greedily. I smiled at Vlad and Susanne as I reached the foot of the stairs.

“Great to see you both again,” I said shaking hands and then I walked to Nadia.

“I missed you so much,” I whispered to her as I took her in my arms.

“I never want to be apart again,” she replied. After a longing embrace I turned and looked at Megan.

“Mum why don’t you take Nadia’s parents out for some coffee in town? Nadia and I need to talk,” I said.

My mum looked at Susanne and she nodded agreement.

“Of course Cyrus, you and Nadia have much to discuss,” Vlad said graciously. I really liked Nadia’s father, he was so cordial.

“Go back upstairs and talk darling, take as long as you need. We will be fine,” my mum added.

The others left us in the hallway as my mum ushered them into the front room for a quick tour of the house before they set off for town.

“Let’s go upstairs,” I whispered to Nadia, “you can see my room.”

We ran up the stairs like excited children.

“This is the room I grew up in,” I told Nadia, as I made an over-elaborate gesture inviting her to enter my bedroom.

“It is how I imagined it – very tidy,” she said, as she looked around the walls taking in the posters and neatly stacked books and CDs. Then she went and sat down on my bed. Nadia stared intently at me.

“You know something about the past don’t you?” I asked.

“Yes I know who you are. I saw you as you were when you destroyed my planet,” Nadia replied factually. I was stunned.

“How did you find out?” I asked.

“My dreams, plus I did some additional research,” she answered.

I heard the front door downstairs shut. I walked over and looked out of the window of my bedroom to see my mother and the others leaving.

I went and sat on my bed opposite Nadia. I took her hand and kissed her deeply. I could hear her heart racing. Then I began to tell her everything I had learnt from the Akashic records: how I had witnessed the creation and evolution of my energy, about the Ari-an Empire and how I had seen her as she was in a previous life. I also told her of my suicide. Some of the things I told her she already knew, while other information was new to her. Nadia reciprocated by sharing her dreams in detail and telling me what she had learnt from her own research. We filled in the gaps for each other. We knew who we were now and that our connection went back into the mists of time.

“What do we do now?” I asked Nadia.

“The earth is coming to the end of a cycle that is why we must be here at this time. We have encountered the dark forces on this planet so there will be forces of light somewhere. We need to contact them,” Nadia said, looking at me searchingly.

“A light vortex – we can try to locate one out of body,” I said.

“Let’s find one together,” Nadia suggested.

“I have learnt how to leave my body at will, when should we try?” I said.

“No time like the present,” Nadia replied lying down on the bed.

I lay back on the bed as well. We were both facing the ceiling. We held hands.

“I am not sure if we can interact easily when we are both in energy form so if you cannot see me or communicate with me, just think ‘light vortex’ and you should appear before one,” I said to Nadia.

“If only I knew it was that simple; I was so terrified when I used to leave my body. The most adventurous I ever got was floating around my room,” she replied.

I relaxed by taking deep breaths of air. After a few minutes of concentration I felt the bed shudder. The fear of leaving my body had lessened considerably. I was getting used to the sensation. My energy was released to float free of my body. I looked across at Nadia. She was shaking. Then I perceived her energy as it emerged from her body. She appeared as a sphere of brilliant light.

“I see the real you, Cyrus,” came Nadia’s voice in my head.

“I see the real you, too,” I thought back. Then Nadia’s energy vanished.

I want to go to a light vortex I thought. In an instant I was before a magnificent column of light. I floated in air thousands of feet above the earth opposite the column. The column was atop a mountain and pierced the clouds of the sky. The sight was awe-inspiring. I knew innately I was somewhere in North America. I sensed Nadia near me also floating near the column of light. I willed my energy towards the column, but could not get any closer. There was a force field protecting it.

“YOU CANNOT ENTER HERE, WHILE YOU STILL HAVE DARKNESS IN YOUR BEING,” a powerful collective voice blasted in my mind.

“I want to know what my purpose is now!” I shouted.

A bolt of energy fired from the column and struck me. I was sent reeling backwards hundreds of metres. I could now see the column far away in the distance. I willed myself back towards it. I tried to enter it again. It was useless. I was sent reeling back. Nadia appeared near me.

“I can enter Cyrus,” came her voice in my mind.

“Go and find out what you can. I will return to my body and wait for you,” I sent back my thought.

I was above my body again and re-entered. I opened my eyes. Next to me Nadia still looked asleep. I felt lost and lonely, I knew my past now, but I didn’t grasp my future path. In the service of darkness all I pursued was my own aggrandisement. I achieved this by subjugating and crushing others. In this life I had glimpsed another way, but what was my purpose now?

I waited deep in thought. A few minutes passed and then Nadia opened her eyes.

“That was quick,” I said looking at her.

“I felt like I was in the vortex of light for hours, time must work differently in the energy realm,” Nadia said sitting up.

“Well what did you learn?” I inquired.

“We need to help the people of this planet,” she answered, penetrating me with an intense look.

“Why? The human world will soon be destroyed then an invasion force of the Ari-an will enslave all the survivors. It is just a universal cycle repeating itself,” I said in a resigned tone.

“Cyrus we both know what is imminent, but we have to try and overcome the darkness by spreading light,
so those who seek it can find it,” Nadia said taking my hand and looking deeply into my eyes.

“Nadia I love you and my family, but beyond that…” I looked back at Nadia, what I meant to say was I didn’t see the purpose of helping any other people, it all seemed futile. As far as I could see humans were a destructive and divided species.

“Cyrus you made a choice in Valletta. You chose love when you rescued me. Whether you like it or not, by wanting to be with me you have joined the side of light. You have to see your decision through to the end. I will help you,” Nadia’s voice and words soothed me. I was still disgruntled from being prohibited to enter the light vortex. My pride was bruised.

“I will try to learn from you and follow your path,” I said feeling unsure of what I was agreeing to and dubious as to whether I could meet the challenge. My energy was still largely steeped in darkness.

“We need to give ourselves and the people around us some happiness before what comes. Let’s get married,” Nadia said smiling.

My spirit immediately lifted. I heard the front door open and commotion downstairs as our families returned from their trip.

  ***

Our families were discussing the exquisiteness of the town when we entered the living room. Vlad and Aiyana were seated on the sofa, while Susanne and Megan were sat at the dining table. They looked up at us expectedly sensing we had something to say.

“We have decided to get married!” Nadia shouted with unreserved excitement.

Vlad jumped up like he had just been given an electric shock with a cattle prod. He knocked his teacup over as he did. Susanne and Megan regarded us open mouthed.

Aiyana as usual was the first to speak. “About time, I want a niece,” she said, adding, “or nephew.”

“Congratulations! When is the big day, or have you not got that far yet in the few hours you had to discuss the rest of your lives?” Megan said with a sarcastic grin, as she got up and walked over to us.

“We admit we still need to work out the exact details,” I said.

Megan hugged us both tenderly. Susanne came over and did the same. Then they took Nadia away to gossip and get further details.

Vlad looked at me a while as if assessing something in his mind. Then his large face lit up into an enormous smile. He walked over and shook my hand.

“Cyrus you make me a very happy man,” he said. I was pleased by his reaction.

“Thank you. I will look after Nadia,” I replied looking at Vlad’s hard, but grinning face.

“You better bro, she is brilliant,” Aiyana added punching me in the arm and then hugging me.

We talked and laughed for ages that afternoon. We even called my poor father on his business trip to Paris and told him the news. After getting over the fact he was not there for the drama, he expressed his joy at the news. Every now and then Nadia and I exchanged glances as we took in the happiness of those around us.

We knew what would come, but moments like these provided welcome and much needed distraction.

Dajjal stood waiting inside the chamber of the dark vortex. Poisonous fumes slowly filled and polluted the atmosphere around him. The gases invaded his nostrils; he coughed an inhuman cough as his lungs filled with noxious air. He staggered around seeking respite, his eyes streaming. He fought violently for breath, the instinct to survive overwhelming him. He stumbled to the wall and banged it angrily with his fists. The strength in his body diminished with each painful cough. His sharp talons scraped the wall as he collapsed to the floor. He writhed around frantically on the ground holding his burning throat. He tried to scream but only a soft whimper came out. Then his body lay still and lifeless. Dajjal had chosen to die this way as he wanted to savour the pain of physical death.

The dark energy that was Dajjal fled the dead body in the gas chamber. The malign energy moved towards the hole in the far corner of the chamber and began descending downwards to the innards of the earth. The energy known as Dajjal floated down eventually reaching a platform upon which lay a powerful reptilian body with black glistening scales. Dajjal could perceive the presence of massive energy beings circling around the platform in that deep, dark hellish pit.

“Take the Draco body and conquer the Earth for us,” the Dark Gods of the Black Circle commanded.

Dajjal approached the physical body. The Dark Gods hovered around in a circle above the platform and performed ancient magic unknown across the physical universe. They fashioned a cord to connect Dajjal’s energy to the reptilian body. Then with an unholy shudder the body began to move as Dajjal’s energy slowly entered through the connecting cord. The body tossed and turned as the energy began to animate it. Inhuman screams that would chill any soul filled the dark oppressive air as the body flowed with life and Dajjal was reborn. The reptilian body sat up. The red eyes opened and began surveying the darkness of the pit. Then came evil laughter laced with cruelty and malice.

“I will destroy the forces of light and enslave all who live on this planet!” shouted Dajjal with furious rage as he stood up like a phantom of doom within the dark bowels of the earth.

  Chapter 7

  “Mount Shasta”

We learnt our purpose on this world

  Destined to cause a ripple

  Breaking through the limited consciousness

From the universal impulse we gained inspiration

Upon a mountain peak of glistening white

We began to create, seeds of hope…

Then we wished them out unto the world

  As ripples of swirling light

Guiding others from darkness and limited minds…

We looked around and saw thousands like us

  Making ripples to break free…

Cyrus and Nadia got married as they had promised their families. The wedding was a private affair with only immediate family invited. Vlad, Susanne, Paymon and Megan had beamed with pride and happiness on the day. They had all watched the ceremony with reflective faces, as Cyrus and Nadia exchanged the vows they themselves had taken years earlier. They reminisced on what it had been like to commit themselves for life to another person mind, body and soul. Vlad looked upon his daughter with fresh eyes, she was no longer the little girl who used to sit on his shoulders laughing; Nadia was a woman now. Susanne watched her daughter give her heart away to the strange man who had stolen it, she wept knowing she had lost her best friend, but also managed a smile as Cyrus spoke realising she had gained a son.

Paymon and Megan held hands tightly. They had overcome many barriers to be together. They had endured resentments; their wedding had caused division as cultural barriers had been eroded. They had vowed they would embrace whoever their children chose, no matter what their background or origins. Their eyes swelled with tears from happiness as their son Cyrus had chosen so very well. The experience was all new to Aiyana and she found herself overwhelmed with powerful emotions. She sobbed with joy laced by sorrow as she watched her older brother promise his heart till the end of his mortal life to the woman he loved.

Throughout the day Nadia radiated like a lone star in the darkest voids of space. Both Cyrus and Nadia glided that day. For them the physical act of marriage was the culmination of a promise that transcended time, as well as something memorable to share with their immediate loved ones. Cyrus forgot himself as he floated high in the clouds amidst love’s sweet embrace. He looked in Nadia’s eyes and glimpsed the promise of what he could become. He found a renewed purpose.

For Nadia it was a precursor to their spiritual union. She had not told Cyrus everything she had learnt in the vortex of light. She knew that they needed to travel to the United States and make physical contact with the Council of Light on the peaks of Mount Shasta. The ‘White Mountain’ was located at the southern end of the cascades in Siskiyou County, California. Before the mighty beings of light accepted Cyrus, Nadia knew that a great sacrifice would be required from her. Cyrus would soon understand what was expected of him now he had chosen the
path of light. It was beyond Nadia to explain his purpose to him; she did not have the words. Nadia realised she had been a catalyst for a magnificent and rare transformation, by helping Cyrus exit darkness and enter light.

  ***

I looked at my watch; I was early, it would be some time still before Aiyana came out of her martial arts class. I felt relaxed as I sat and waited in the car. It was a bright, sunny and glorious day near the end of August. Summer would be over soon. Nadia and I were setting off to America for our honeymoon the following afternoon. The plan was to visit her grandparents who lived in Los Angeles California, but first Nadia wanted us to go to Mount Shasta. She had told me that was the earthly location of the light vortex she had entered when we went out of our bodies.

My mum had been intrigued by our decision to visit Mount Shasta. She had told us it was regarded as a sacred site by Native Americans. She said Mount Shasta was intertwined with the legend of Lemuria. My mum had always been interested in legends. Lemuria was supposedly a lost continent that had once flourished in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and sunk, similar to the legend of Atlantis. It was believed to be home to an advanced civilization and when the continent was flooding; the people escaped through underground volcanic tunnels and ended up at Mount Shasta. Once there, they established a huge underground society, which allegedly existed to this day. I had been fascinated by my mum’s knowledge and had almost blurted out that Nadia and I were intending to make contact with beings of light residing within that mountain!

I sighed as I thought about how little the majority of humanity knew regarding the true history of their planet. Only a small fraction was consciously aware of the struggle for dominion over earth. The Lemurian civilisation had indeed existed thousands of years ago, eventually being destroyed during the culmination of a prior cycle of evolution. Nadia and I had figured out that a cycle of evolution on earth lasted around 26,000 years. At the culmination of a cycle severe geophysical and environmental adjustment occurred as the planet cleared stagnant energy in preparation for a new cycle to begin. At the culmination of a cycle there would normally be an overt struggle between the beings of light and darkness for complete ownership of the neutral energy on the planet. So far earth and the human species had not definitively tilted to either light or darkness, so previous overt confrontations had ended in a stalemate.
