by Andrew Wood

Lord Willem rode eastward ahead of his army. Two thousand infantry and archers, as well as over five hundred light and heavy cavalry in addition to the numerous wagons and packhorses followed him onwards towards Bashek. The capital of their nation was still in the hands of the Darekians who had caused all this misery, and it was up to each and every one of them to win it back.

In another two days, the forward scouts should be within view of the city walls. An advance party was to push ahead of the main army to ensure the vicinity around the city was clear. These were also to signal their men working inside the walls, to let them know the time had come for liberation.
