Unspoken Endings

“I’m not going,” I say, throwing a glare at him. He opens his mouth to most likely give me his usual cocky response, but I cut him off by declaring, “I don’t care if it’s part of my job.” Walking away, I don’t give him the opportunity to argue.

“Damn that was hot,” Matt says as we walk away.

Within minutes, we near the car and Julio is already waiting with the door open for us to enter. I’m climbing in when I hear Matt ask him, “Is everything ready?”

  “Almost,” he replies to Matt.

“Have the driver take the long way back then,” Matt tells Julio before he climbs in after me.

“What was that about?” I ask, wondering what Matt has up his sleeve. With a smug expression, he shrugs his shoulders.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

My mind is swiftly distracted when Matt pulls my body to straddle his hips and I immediately feel his erection brushing up into me. I can’t resist digging my hands into his hair as I deeply kiss him, making us both moan as our tongues meet. His hands fasten on my hips as he grinds me harder against him. Impatiently, my hands reach down to unbutton his pants and my hand digs inside to wrap around the silky warm skin to start stroking him.

“I can’t wait to get back to the hotel tonight,” I mumble against his lips as I continue to tantalize Matt. Unbuttoning my pants, he reaches into them and starts rubbing my clit.

“Maybe I like the idea of you not wearing any underwear after all,” he says before pushing his finger inside of me, but just as rapidly he’s yanking his hand out and starts shoving his pants down.

“Matt, we can’t do this in here,” I frantically let out, looking behind me to the closed patrician knowing Julio and the driver are on the other side.

“I’m not waiting until we get back. Take these fucking pants off now,” he demands, pushing me off him and throwing me onto the seat next to him so he can push down his own pants. My pants are barely around my knees as Matt growls, “That’s good enough,” and I’m yanked back on top of him, this time facing forward.

“Matt, I don’t think this is going to—” I try to say, but I’m unable to finish what I’m thinking as he brings me down onto him, filling me completely. The groan we both let out was most likely heard in the front seat.

“Shhh!” Matt warns. Biting down on my lip to try to contain my moans doesn’t help much as he wildly lifts and lowers me onto his cock. We suddenly stop when the driver slams on the brakes, causing Matt to slam deeper into me. This time I uncontrollably let out a loud moan of pleasure.

“I warned you,” he says before his hand covers my mouth to stifle my groans.

The dominating feeling of his hand tightly clasped on my mouth while he uses the other to lift and pull me down on his hips sends me spiraling higher and higher until the walls of my core are clamping around him and I’m screaming into his hand. Matt continues his unmerciful thrusts, building me up to another climax, this one feeling stronger than the first as I explode around him and continue screaming into his hand. From the grunting vibrating into my back, I know Matt has also found his release. Seconds later, I feel his warmth releasing into me.

Exhausted and my mind spiraling out of control, I slump back onto Matt’s chest trying to recover my breath. He removes his hand from my mouth, allowing me to take a deep breath. The same hand glides down my body to wrap around my waist.

“I love when you give me what I want.”

I’m still too incoherent to understand his meaning as I mumble. “Hmm?”

My whole body shakes as Matt lets out a laugh; my thoughts are still jumbled. “You screaming my name.”

Now understanding what he meant, I laugh along with him. He’s right. I do like giving him what he wants, especially if it means I get rewarded as well.

I’M FULL OF nerves, hoping everything is perfect and Abigail likes it. I’ve been planning this dinner for over a month, but it was supposed to take place at home. Instead, I’ve had to improvise and make do with what I have here. Regardless, the end result is to have a smile on her face at the end of a memorable night.

The ding of the elevator breaks my thought and I hold Abigail back in the hallway while Julio goes and checks the room. I’ve already spoken to him and he knows the plan. He’s to complete his sweep of the room, leaving afterwards to allow us some privacy. I’ve already rented him another smaller room in the building so he’s still nearby if needed. I wanted the entire suite completely to ourselves, not having to worry if Julio feels awkward if I want to spontaneously do something in the dining room.

Abigail’s eyes follow Julio as he disappears into the room while I keep her leaning against the hallway wall with me. “Why aren’t we following Julio?” she asks, shyly smiling back at me. “Does it have something to with my birthday?” she suspiciously asks with a smirk, most likely already aware I have a surprise waiting for her.

“You’ll just have to wait to find out.” Her lips go into a pout. I’m about to kiss it away when I see Julio exiting.

“All clear,” he relays with a quick nod.

Pulling away from the wall, I lead us both to the door. “Thanks man,” I tell him with a smile as he leaves us. Gradually, I push open the hotel door Julio left ajar and allow Abigail to enter first. She immediately lets out a gasp as she enters. Quickly closing the door to shut out the light of the hallway, we’re engulfed by the illumination from the glow of the candles. Rose petals have been spread randomly across the floor and several bouquets fill the room, the bedroom mirroring a similar appearance.

She looks over to me with a look of astonishment in her eyes, but an elated smile on her lips. “Oh, Matt,” she whispers, taking me into her arms and kissing me. “Thank you,” she says before giving me another kiss.

“You’re welcome, beautiful. I knew you’d probably want to eat in instead of going out,” I say, nodding my head in the direction of the dinner waiting on the table. I’ve learned when it comes to Abigail that she would much rather stay home than go out most of the time. I’ve offered plenty of times in the past to take her out to dinner on a date, but her answer was always, “Can we just stay home instead? I’d rather just be alone with you.”

She slowly takes in the room again, growing more excited as she takes in every inch. I give her another couple of seconds to take it all in before I lead her over to the dinner table. I stand there with her in my arms, cherishing how lucky I am to have her in my life.

“You hungry?” I quietly ask her. Eagerly, she nods while craning her head around to curiously look over what’s on the table. “Come. Let me feed you.”

Taking a seat, I pull her into my lap. I want her as close to me as possible. Lifting the lid off the plate, her eyes light up at what’s underneath.

“Pancakes!” she excitedly says, making me laugh.

“Yes, that’s why I made extra this morning. I knew you would have earned them tonight.”

“But I usually only earn them either running,”—she lowers her head—“or in bed,” she hoarsely says into my ear. Gripping her thighs, I attempt to help control the carnal images coursing through my head.

“Would you prefer to go earn them first?” I ask her as my hand glides up in between her legs. She squirms in my lap, making me grow hard.

She bites her lips, contemplating her answer. Her eyes avert to the pancakes with a yearning, letting me know she’s hungry. “How about we burn them off instead,” I suggest instead, making her smile. Ripping a piece of pancake, I offer it to her. Her lips wrap around my fingers. “Sorry if they don’t taste fresh.”

Quickly chewing and swallowing the piece in her mouth, she’s soon answering, “It’s okay. Even if they were days old, they’re your pancakes.” Her statement pleases me. Tearing off another piece of pancake and feeding it to her, she gladly takes it as before. She does the same with me and soon the stack I’d saved for us is completely gone.

“That’s it?” she disappointingly asks, lifting up another cover
and pouting when she doesn’t find pancakes. Instead, she finds what I planned for dessert.

Looking skeptical, she asks, “What’s this?”

  “Cronuts.”

She gives me a puzzled look. “I couldn’t get you your favorite donut from Portland, so I did some research and this is just as gooey as that one,” I explain, already reaching for one and lifting it up to her mouth. She sinks her teeth into the crusty creation and her eyes immediately close with a blissful moan. “That good?”

She pulls away, eyes still closed, and slowly chews as she nods her head. Her lips turn up into a smile as she opens her eyes to look at me then grabs for my hand to push the pastry to my mouth. Taking a bite, I now understand why she had that reaction. The mouthwatering flavors of the fruity filling within the crusty donut layers surrounding it practically explode in your mouth.

“Good, huh?” Abigail asks. I give a muffled ‘Yes’ through a mouthful of dessert. She pulls the Cronut back to her and takes the next bite.

Our mouthwatering dessert is all thanks to the concierge. I had no clue what a Cronut was until I asked him for a recommendation of the best dessert in the city. When I’d requested if he can have some delivered for tonight, he happily responded, “Of course, sir. And I’ll make sure there’s plenty. You can never eat just one.” Now I know what he meant. Had he only had one delivered, I would have had to suffer not having more than the one bite.

Abigail stuffs the last bite into my mouth before she reaches for the next Cronut. When we’ve both had our fill, she lets out a contented sigh, looking delightfully happy. She loops her arms around my neck and I contently look into her eyes. “I’ve got to be the luckiest person in the world that you found me.”

Even with the candlelight, I can see the blush creeping up her cheeks.

“I love you, Matt,” she shyly replies.

“I love you, more,” I say as I lean in to kiss her. “I’ve got your present in the room,” I say against her lips. She yanks her head back, completely surprised.

“I thought you showing up here was my present?”

“You honestly thought I wouldn’t get you something for your birthday?”

She sincerely looks at me. “But I wasn’t expecting anything,” she voices.

Pulling her to stand with me, I lead her to the bedroom. Another gasp is heard from her lips as she takes in the room, but I don’t give her enough time to fully take it in before I lead her to the bed so she can sit. Going to the desk drawer where I hid Abigail’s present when she wasn’t looking, I pull it out and walk back to her. Wrapping my arms around her from behind, I hand her the present and wait while she opens it.

Like an excited child, she starts ripping at the wrapping paper then lifts the lid to the box. “Oh, Matt,” she utters, taking in the album I’ve given her. She opens it and her hand immediately goes to her mouth to cover another gasp. She’s staring down at the picture of me holding her in my arms at the finish line for the Portland Marathon. Cautiously, she turns the page and it’s a picture of our very first race. Silently, she continues to flip through the pages one by one, taking a couple of seconds to take each one in. Most of the photographs are of our races, but many are candid pictures taken by our closest friends.

“Do you like it, beautiful?” I hesitantly ask, hoping I haven’t failed in satisfying her. Snapping her head up to look at me, she has a heartfelt smile on her lips.

  “Oh, Matt. It’s perfect.”

“I got the idea from you,” I explain, feeling pleased. “From the album you gave me of Emily and me. I wanted you to have something of the both of us.” A tear slowly trickles down her cheek. Using my thumb to brush it away, I kiss her, hoping to take her sadness away.

Turning so she can climb onto my lap, she gently places the album on the side table. “It’s perfect,” she says while wrapping her arms around my neck and pulling me in for a kiss.

Somehow, it doesn’t feel the same. “I’d planned this whole big dinner with all your favorite things we’ve shared together, but when you said you’d be here in New York, I had to modify everything. I was going to wake you up with pancakes in bed. Order your favorite pizza and have your donuts for dessert, but I had to improvise with what we had here.”

“Everything was perfect because you’re here to celebrate it with me. That’s all I could ever wish for on my birthday,” she expresses, her lips meeting mine while my hands slowly roam inside her shirt and against her skin.

Breaking our kiss and gasping for air, our hands become frantic and start tearing at our clothes, demanding they come off. Within seconds, we’re both naked, only the glow of the candlelight illuminating our skin. She pulls me back to lie above me on the bed, her hungry eyes filled with a craving I’m all too familiar with.

Usually I would thrust myself into her, impatient to be one with her, but this time I want it to feel as if it were the first time I make to love her. Her legs impatiently pull at my body, demanding I plunge myself faster, but I ignore her request, keeping my slow and steady pace. Her nails are digging into my back as she moans my name. My eyes never leave her face, wanting to take in every second of me making love to her.

She’s meant to be treasured and every second patiently taken. Needing to taste her, my mouth finds her lips. I push my tongue into her mouth and match the rhythm of my thrust. Her sweet taste is like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. She is my one and only. No one will ever compare to her.

“Oh God, Matt,” she moans, starting to grow frantic and desperate for me to send her to her release. Always wanting to satisfy Abigail’s every need, I quicken my thrusting. Her nails dig into my skin, an indication that she is nearing her climax. Reaching down to widen her legs so I can push myself deeper inside her body, my thrusts are now desperate to send us both over the edge. I can feel my balls tightening and my cock demanding I release inside of her, but I refuse to allow myself to finish without Abigail.

“Fuck. I love you, beautiful,” I groan into her ear. She responds with a grunt of my name. I feel the walls of her core squeezing me below and I can’t resist pushing harder, deeper inside of her.

She throws her head back as she screams, “Matt!” My name coming before a moan that has no resistance, making me follow her over the edge. Feeling every ounce of myself emptying inside her, I continue until I know I have nothing left.

Spent and exhausted, my body hovers above her. Taking her contented appearance in, I know there is no more beautiful sight than when she’s panting from screaming my name. Pushing her hair from her sweaty forehead, we’re both breathless, but I manage to whisper down to her, “I love you.” Watching her eyes widely beam, my lips slam down to hers to kiss her.

Her hands grip my waist, as if resisting letting me go, but I know my weight is too much for her. Landing on the bed besides her, I pull her snug to my side and give her another kiss on her temple before her slow breathing tells me she’s now falling asleep. Reaching over to grab for the album, I start flipping through the pages, reminiscing over every memory that corresponds to the matching picture.

I don’t know how much time has passed, but the glow of the candlelight is now low and my eyes are growing heavy. Placing the album back where Abigail placed it, I wrap my arms back around her, adding yet another memory to my mind. With the remaining candlelight dancing across the walls, I pray that Abigail and I will have the rest of our lives to celebrate our birthdays together… Never apart.

MATT’S RUMBLED GROAN vibrates against my cheek as my phone continues to ring. Hans is the only one designated with the basic ringtone. There are no words I can find to relay the bitterness I feel inside when he calls. At this very moment, I may just murder the man if he’s calling simply to give me a lecture for missing last night’s after party. Choosing to ignore it and let him lecture away in a voicemail, I tighten my arm wrapped around Matt’s waist as I snuggle closer to Matt, using the warmth of his body to help send me back into my slumber. However, I’m vastly disappointed when my
phone starts ringing again with the same annoying ring.

“You better answer that,” Matt suggests, shaking me awake. “It may be someone important.” With an angered grumble matching the one he had moments ago, I sit up and reach for my phone.

“This better be worth waking me up for,” I angrily say into the phone¸ not caring how the words sound. It’s Hans after all.

“It should be since it’s your career we’re talking about.”

His comment does not faze me one bit as I lie back down at Matt’s side and try to get comfortable.

“What now?” I gripe into the phone.

“There’s been a change of plans with the show.” The simple declaration already has me groaning as I think of the possibilities of what other demands they will throw at me. “The designer’s father passed away last night so she’s postponing everything for now. The show has been cancelled until further notice,” he says, completely surprising me instead.

“What does that mean?” I ask sitting up.

“It means we’ll give you a call when everything is back on.”

Unable to contain my excitement, my lips widen into a smile. I shouldn’t feel so excited under the circumstances, but I can’t resist since it means I no longer have to leave for Paris, or leave Matt behind. “No problem.”

Hans ends the call and I’m still radiating inside as I snuggle back into Matt’s arms. Throwing the phone to the other side of the bed, I lay against Matt’s chest, too excited to go back to sleep.

“Matt, what time does your flight leave?”

He doesn’t immediately answer me and now I’m the one trying to shake him awake. “Beautiful, if you want it, you have to climb on top this time. I’m too exhausted,” he mumbles, attempting to pull my body up above his. Doing as he asks, I straddle his waist, but drape myself across his chest so my mouth is next to his ear.

“Actually, I’d rather go home than fall back to sleep,” I whisper into his ear.

His body stiffens and his arms give me a shake. “What do you mean by home?”
