At that moment, twin shooting stars flared up across the zenith. Mara gasped at the sight. They ignited into fireballs as they burned across the sky. But soon they faded and disintegrated into the darkness.
Talis turned his gaze to Mara. The memory of the shooting stars lingered in his eyes.
A smile came to his face and the warmth filled her with joy.
