“This fucking hoe giving orders again,” one of the mafia members said as Amador hung up the phone. Five black Mercedes-Benzs filled with men hanging out of the windows with AK-47’s flew past Iris.

“That was fast. Amador really do own this city, huh,” she said stepping on the gas keeping up with the cars.

  CHAPTER 14

Tess looked in her rearview mirror and could see Layla making sure the girls were secure. She then looked at the driver’s side mirror and could see five cars speeding up behind them weaving through traffic. The side window exploded to pieces as a bullet slammed into it. “We got company,” Tess said while gripping the steering wheel with her right hand and grabbing her gun from her thigh holster with her left hand.

“Now these fools I can handle with no problem. Dealing with y’all is like messing with female super ninjas on crack that’s hyped the fuck up for no reason," Bless stated while cocking his MP5 machine gun making a bullet jump into the chamber. He looked at Tess and smiled.

Tess looked at him out of the corner of her eyes while still driving, “Go get 'um, daddy. Show me what you’re made of,” Tess replied sarcastically.

“I know this going to sound weird and crazy, but looking at you in control and not panicking, turns me on,” Bless replied.

“Boy, if you don’t shut up and go impress me before these fools get close enough to kill us….,” Tess said.

Bless stuck his head out of the passenger side window and could see two black Mercedes-Benz speeding down the right lane. He saw men hanging out of the passenger and side windows. Bless squeezed the trigger sending a burst of automatic fire crashing into the windshield of the first car. Bullets tore through the driver and passenger side like paper.

They hollered in pain and the backseat driver screamed in fear as the car swerved out of control. The car went from left to right then flipped over as Bless sent bullets slamming into the tires. The car rolled over repeatedly on the three lane road. Two more of the Santiago Cartel cars came rushing up the road, but was unable to dodge the flipping car, crashing into it and cracking the gas tank. The spark from the cars being pushed down the road caused all three cars to explode into pieces killing the henchmen and the other two cars instantly.

Bless pulled himself back into the car and looked at Tess with a Kool-Aid smile on his face, “Are you impressed?” he said grinning from ear to ear.

“Hmm, you still got it, but let me show you how it’s really done. Grab the wheel,” Tess said while opening the driver’s side door.

Bless looked at her strangely, “This isn’t how we use to do it,” he said out loud with his mind playing back on how they used to switch driving while the car was still moving. Bless quickly snapped out of his thoughts and grabbed the steering wheel.

“This is a new one here, baby,” Tess said with a grin on her face.

A Mercedes-Benz sped down the road on the driver’s side. The passenger hung out of the window and prepared to pull the trigger of his AK-47, but Tess beat him to it. She squeezed the trigger to her chrome 40 caliber sending a bullet into his eye. His body fell limp and he hung out of the window lifeless. “Que cono!” the driver yelled in Spanish and wasn’t prepared for what happened next.

Tess looked at Bless, “See you in a few,” she said then timed herself and jumped out of the moving limo. Tess landed on her stomach on the hood of the black Mercedes-Benz.

“What the fuck! She has lost her damn mind. All of them have completely lost their damn minds. I’m really convinced now,” Bless shouted while moving fast to sit down in the driver’s seat taking control of the long car and closing the door.

Tess's fingers were deep in the cracks of the hood. The driver panicked and began to drive crazy in hopes of shaking her off the car. He sped up and swerved left and right.

“You motherfucker!” Tess shouted and fired repeatedly into the front window.

The thick glass cracked, “Ahhhh!” the henchmen screamed as the glass pieces cut into his face.

Tess used the butt of her gun to bang a huge hole into the shattered window and slide inside with ease. She opened the passenger side door and pushed the eyeless man out of the car then shut the door.

“Ahhh!” the driver continued to holler.

“Shut the fuck up with all that hollering! My daughter is tougher than you,” Tess shouted and placed her gun to his head and blew his brains out. She grabbed the steering wheel and opened the driver’s side door to kick his body out.

“Damn, my woman is a gangster,” Bless said watching the whole thing while driving.

“That was easy,” Tess thought to herself while reaching in the backseat to grab the AK-47 that belonged to the driver.

Iris rode three cars behind watching the whole thing with her face twisted up in anger, “Fucking amateurs. They’re making this shit too easy. Sometimes I wonder how Amador is able to control a whole damn city and drug business with such weak members on his team. None of them are real killers just a bunch of street thugs with no fucking skills. Just let me get my hand on a gun and I’ll show these pussies how it’s really done,” Iris shouted staying back and discrete because she knew she had no weapons and Tess would easily kill her.

Tess cocked the gun back as the bullets slammed into the back of the car. Three more cars with henchmen were on her tail firing recklessly.

“Shit! We’re going to have to stop. Tess needs our help,” Bless turned his head to look at Layla still on the floor guarding the girls.

Layla lifted her head up cautiously and smiled seeing Tess drive the Mercedes with a long gun in her hand and the cars behind her shooting, not even aiming. She sat back down next to the girls. “Damn, you have been gone for a while Bless. I miss you though, but Tess got this. First, those guys are untrained. You can tell by the way they are shooting. Tess has come a long way from the woman you use to know. We all have,” Layla stated.

“I see. Nothing is the same,” Bless said and felt a pain in his heart knowing the life he had once was long gone. Bless continued to look out of the rearview mirror worried about Tess. The emotion was completely over powered by shock when he saw what happened next. Tess jerked the steering wheel all the way to the right making the car do a 180 turning all the way around. She threw the car in reverse and was driving it backwards. Tess stuck the AK-47 through the now broken windshield that she used to get in the car and squeezed the trigger. An orange blast came out and rapid gunshots filled the driver and passenger in the first car ripping through their flesh causing them do die immediately leaving the car to swerve off the road. Tess slowed down so that her car could get directly between the other two cars. Before they could realize what was happening, she fired at the car on the left of her aiming perfectly at the heads of both henchmen in the car. Then, she aimed for the henchmen in the car on the right side of her, but heard a clicking sound once she pulled the trigger. Tess grabbed her 40 caliber and quickly turned the car back around and was now behind the car that was to the right of her. She stepped on the gas making the Benz hit top speed and rammed into the back of the henchmen’s car.

The impact of the crash sent her flying through the windshield. She stretched her arms out directly in front of her and shot out the back window of the car making it easier for her to slide in. Tess shot the passenger in the back of the head as she sat between the two henchmen in the backseat with their faces stuck on stupid. She punched the closest one to her in the neck, “Uggh, agghh,” he gasped. Before he could catch his breath, he felt Tess’s soft, small hands on his neck and chin as she twisted with everything she had in her breaking his neck.

The sound of his neck breaking echoed throughout the car and she quickly shot the other man next to her in the head. “You fucking bitch!” the driver shouted looking in his rearview mirror watching Tess kill his friends without breaking a sweat. He did his best to keep the car straight on the road, but bumped into a car on the side of him. He stretched his arm out behind him that gripped a black 45 handgun and squeeze
d the trigger without aiming. Tess grabbed his wrist and pushed his wrist back in the direction away from her. “Ahhhhhh!” he screamed in excruciating pain and dropped the gun.

“Okay, I’ve seen more than a fucking nuff!” Iris shouted! She grabbed the knife from her holster and banged at the windshield furiously until it shattered. Iris stepped on the gas speeding up and crashed into the back of the Mercedes following Tess’s lead. She flew through the window and inside of the car to the front of the car between the driver and passenger seat. The driver held his broken wrist close to his chest in pain and looked at Iris laying between the armrest, “What the hell is wrong with you bitches?” he shouted.

“Shut the fuck up and drive!” Iris ordered then kicked Tess in the face catching her off guard.

“Did you miss me, baby?” she said while kicking Tess again.

This time Tess folded her arms in front of her face blocking the blow, “No, you grimy ass bitch! I did not miss you!” Tess shouted and hopped on Iris giving her blow after blow to the face.

“Ugggh!” Iris creamed in pain then put her arms up to protect her face.

“I fucking hate you! I hate you!” Tess screamed during her attack.

Iris felt rage and her heart began to race. While using one hand to grab her knife, Iris came up with it slicing Tess in the face on her cheek. “Bitch, you love me! Don’t ever say you hate me! You love me I know you do! Now, say it! Say it!” Iris shouted with tears in her eyes while trying to push the knife through Tess's throat. It took all of Tess's strength and both of her hands to hold Iris’s hand down trying to stop the blade from reaching her neck. “Say it! Say you love me like I love you!” Iris shouted.

Tess could feel the tip of the knife on her neck and her mind raced, knowing she was getting weak and had to do something before her life was over, “I said no! I don’t love your crazy ass!” Tess yelled and pulled the emergency break and quickly pushed herself to the backseat and got low while the car went out of control and into the guard rail.

Iris and the driver groaned in pain. Iris's head pounded and spinned from the blow she took to the head from the impact of the car hitting the rail. Her eyes opened wide from seeing Tess come up from the backseat with the black 45 handgun. Iris opened the passenger door and rolled out backwards while grabbing the dead passenger's AK-47. Tess pulled the trigger and bullets zoomed pass Iris’s head. Iris ran behind a car as Tess crawled into the front and kicked the driver out.

“Weak ass! Who dies from such a light car wreck?” Tess asked rhetorically and pulled the car off knowing that Iris had the upper hand with the machine gun.

“Where you going? You still didn’t say you love me!” Iris shouted and let off over twenty bullets to the trunk of the car Tess was in as Tess zoomed away, “Fuck! Fuck!" Iris shouted and stomped her feet having a temper tantrum. She ran up to one of the slow driving cars being nosey trying to see what was going on and opened the door to snatch a guy out of the car.

“Hey, what are you doing?” he screamed. Iris turned around and pointed the AK-47 at him. “Okay, okay. You can have the car,” the man said while backpedaling with his hands up in the air in fear.

“Next time, I bet your ass won’t be so nosey and keep it moving,” Iris said while getting into the car and pulled off.

  CHAPTER 15

It took Tess no time to catch up to the black limo. Bless had the window down and shook his head. “Follow me!” Tess shouted and cut in front of him. They drove for another ten minutes and pulled up to some buildings that had iron gates on them. Tess dug into her pocket and read the number. She drove a few feet and stopped in front of building 432. Tess put the car in park, jumped out, and walked up to the building. There was a digital code on the door. So, Tess entered the numbers that were also on the piece of paper and the door unlocked and popped open. Bless got out of the limo and walked over to her.

“Why did we stop? I thought we were going to the border,” he said.

“We are, but thanks to a close friend, we will be traveling in style and much faster,” Tess replied as she thought of Susan, “You and Layla grab the girls and let’s go.”

“Okay, but what was that about back there? You were moving mad reckless and it took you some time to get rid of them,” Bless replied.

“They weren’t the problem. It was Iris, but now is not the time to discuss it. It’s no telling how much time we have until they are on our ass again. We are at a disadvantage without Vanessa. She’s meeting up with us once we head to Haiti,” Tess stated.

Bless turned around and walked back to the limo and scooped Ayoyna’s little body up in his arms. He looked to see Layla waiting on him on the other side of the limo with Isis in her arms. Bless turned his head to the left to see Iris speeding down the storage yard in a blue car with six black Mercedes-Benz following her lead. Layla grabbed the small device from her holster belt and tossed it up under the limo as her and Bless took off running inside of the building.

“Tess, we have company. We are stuck inside this storage unit,” Bless said.

Tess looked at him and smiled, “We’re not stuck, baby. This is no ordinary storage unit. It’s a boat storage area. I told you we were traveling in style across the border,” Tess said while walking deeper into the unit and stopped at the loading dock. There was a luxury speed boat waiting. “Come on,” Tess yelled. The sound of the henchmen outside of the storage unit let them know that they have overstayed their welcome. They climbed into the speedboat. Tess started the engine backing out of the dock as the henchmen burst through the storage unit bars with guns aiming in their direction. “Now Layla!” Tess shouted.

Layla pressed a small red button that controlled the device that threw under the limo. A large explosion went destroying and killing everything within five feet. Tess exhaled with joy, “Yes, my baby and my niece are going to make it. We’ll be in Haiti in half an hour and straight to the hospital. Thank you, God and thank you, Susan,” Tess mumbled while crying tears of hope, joy, and pain as she pulled the handle on the speed boat racing it through the ocean.

Iris had let the henchmen take the lead by going towards the storage unit as she stayed back in the blue car she had stolen about twelve feet away. She was not looking at the men that survived the explosion that their cries echoed the yard. “Cleaver girl, Tess,” Iris said while walking to another storage unit. She shot the digital lock on the door and opened. When she walked inside a wicked smile came across her face,

“Oh, this some new shit, huh? You always seem to surprise me, but you won’t get away that easy,” Iris said while starting up to a cream colored speed boat.

  CHAPTER 16

In the middle of Haiti, Tess paced back and forth in the hospital waiting for the doctor to come out of surgery. She felt as if she was going to have a panic attack and did her best to fight back her tears knowing she had to be strong for Ayoyna. A short dark skinned, overweight man with salt and pepper hair walked into the waiting room. Tess rushed over to him, “So are the children okay?” Tess asked before he even got a chance to speak.

“First, let me thank you for the funds you wired to our hospital and my personal account when you came here. We are so grateful,” Doctor Berouet said in a deep creole accent feeling blessed to know that he was now a much richer man.

“Listen Doctor cut the damn small talk. I paid you and this hospital a small fortune to make sure my daughter and niece would get replacement lungs. Are they okay?” Tess asked with her heart racing. Bless stood behind her rubbing her back hoping that it would calm her down.

“Yes, both surgeries went fine. Those girls are fighters and the new lungs accepted well to their bodies. They are breathing at eighty percent on their own. We do have them on a respirator still to help them intake more oxygen. Now, they do need to rest up before you can travel with them,” Doctor Berouet said.

“Oh thank God, thank you Jesus!” Tess said with tears flooding her eyes, “When can I see them and be able to travel with them?” she a
sked.

“You can see them in two hours, but they are heavily medicated. So, they won’t be awake until tomorrow. You will be able to travel with them in three days when their wounds properly heal,” Doctor Berouet replied.

“I can’t thank you enough, Doctor Berouet,” Bless said while shaking his hand.

  “Thank you,” Tess said.

“You both are welcome,” Doctor Berouet said and went back to his business.

Bless opened his arms and Tess made her way into them feeling like the perfect fit. “Our daughter is going to be alright. God is good. You just don’t know I was about to break down, baby. I almost lost hope thinking that they weren’t able to save them both. I put our own daughter in jeopardy by not taking Isis's lung, but how could I take the life of an innocent girl,” Tess said while crying hysterically onto Bless' chest.

“I applaud you for being strong throughout this whole situation. I've never seen an inch of doubt on your face,” Bless replied while kissing her on the forehead.

“That’s because I never try to show my weaknesses,” Tess said.

“But, Tess are we safe here? What’s stopping the Santiago Cartel from coming into Haiti and finding us? I don’t think we can stay here for three days,” Bless stated.

“No, we’re good. They won’t enter Haiti,” Tess replied.

  “Why not?” Bless asked curiously.

“You really don’t know anything about Haiti, huh? Haiti is owned by Zoe Pound. These crazy ass Haitians are true killers. So, the Santiago Cartel stay in their territory and so do they. If either were to break that term, it would mean war which is something both families don’t want because it will interfere with them making money. We’re good. We have no worries. Once the girls are ready, we’ll board a plane and get the hell out of here and start our lives completely over,” Tess replied.
