by Peter Green

Their clairvoyant powers had sensed the Secret of the Alignment being revealed to the mortal realm! Too late! Time had stood still, reversed and moved forward... they had felt the life giving force... Sceine lived again!

The Witches of Hawardden were enraged! They wanted blood! They had been duped by the Sea Druid Amergin! Together with the High Priest of the Chapter of Mystics, Gonne, and the traitorous brother of the Milesian, they had been sent on a fool’s errand! Eiru blamed all of this on MacCuacht!

She had long suspected him of weakness. He had failed to intercept and slay the Sea Druid on numerous occasions... now this!

Eiru had lost her soul to the dark Sidhe long ago. Over time, she had become the darkest of all. Eiru was merciless, ruthless and vengeful. She was filled with hatred and contempt for her estranged partner. MacCuacht had failed her too many times... she now saw him as weak, pitiful and incompetent!

Amergin and Sceine live! The Prophecy will be fulfilled!

In her dark eyes MacCuacht was to blame!

The deep Woodlands of Derwydd were still cloaked in the dank, dense cooling mist. The dark one MacCuacht talked to the sinister Gonne, High Priest of the Chapter of Mystics. Eimbear the Machiavellian brother of the Sea Druid listened on. The army of lost souls hung on to his every word. MacCuacht was cursing them, trying to accuse Gonne and Eimbear of collusion with Amergin. “How could you have fallen for this deception?!” these were his last words... from the shadows of the woodlands cloaked in dense, dank mist... they struck without warning! The witches in their wolfish alter entities were in hunt mode! Slashing, lacerating, biting and clawing! Incisors and claws tearing in to MacCuacht’s deathly white flesh. His dark, infected blood poured forth, covering them and staining the ground. MacCuacht was torn limb from limb and in no time the crazed wolfish predators had devoured him...

Bone, blood and entrails, every dark morsel was consumed!

The three were empowered and strengthened. Their darkness knew no bounds now...

In that fateful moment, they transformed from their wolfish alter entities back to the raven haired Witches of Hawardden. The three raven haired beauties, in their shimmering, silver cocoon dresses, stood on the dark, blood stained earth. The evil energy of the dark Sidhe coursed through their veins! Their power was unbounded now!

All those who witnessed the awful slaughter of the dark one MacCuacht, had no doubts as to who their new mistresses were. The darkest of all, their new leader...

Gonne of the Chapter of Mystics fell to his knees, chanting, “The dark one MacCuacht is dead, long reign the darkest one of all...Eiru!!!”

Eimbear and the army of lost souls knelt before her. They chanted her name, “Eiru! Eiru! Eiru…!”

That night under the cover of darkness and the receding cold, damp mist, Eiru and her sister witches retreated to the high mountain fortress of Hawardden. Gonne and Eimbear joined the army of lost souls. Together, they would return to their fortress to retrench and gather strength.

As dawn broke, the three raven haired witches stared malevolently out from the high battlements of Hawardden... the dark forces were gathering...

  They shall return...
