I hope you'll continue down the Valerie's Elites series, and stick with me as a reader for years to come. I have BIG plans. As an author I went full-time about six months before writing this book, and therefore have time to actually write the books I want to write. Thanks to you all, I can actually pay rent and feed my children while living the dream! Being full-time means I don't have to stay up until two in the morning to get my writing in after working to make someone else rich. It means I can get rest, and not have a line of ZZzzzzzZZZZzzz across my pages from nodding off all the time while writing. Believe me, my editors love it! They used to ask me things about some of my stories, and I had been so tired when writing, I couldn't even remember what they were talking about! I feel so blessed that those days are gone, and because of that I'm going to write my heart out, put my all into these books for you all, and never stop.

A big “thank you” to all of you for reading this book.
I’ve known Justin for about a year and a half. Our friendship started not because we are both writers, but because we both have YouTube channels where we talk about books and writing. I stumbled upon one of his videos, enjoyed it, and mentioned him in one of my videos. He caught that video and dropped me a note. Now we’re writing awesome sci-fi books together.
What I’m saying is the Internet is a weird place.
Here’s another example: an hour ago, I was in the backyard with my daughter, looking through her telescope at the super moon. Then I came inside and wrote a battle scene on a moon where… Well, you’ll find out in book 2.

Storm Raiders (Age of Magic) – In a future where Etheric technology is mistaken for magic, a young woman fights for justice among a Viking-esque culture that can control the weather. This series has some cool Valerie tie-ins… and I have one really big tie-in planned for book five.
The Savage Earth – In a future where the Earth has been overrun by feral vampires, the last remnant of humanity survives by continually circumnavigating the globe in an airship, always staying in the daylight. But when the ship malfunctions, they’re all in big trouble, and it’s a race against the clock to fix the ship or be forced to survive the night on the surface.
As Justin mentioned in his author note, we have big plans for this series. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on this book. It’s going to get wild!

Hello!
First, let me thank you for not only reading the story but also Justin and PT’s author notes and now to my own, as well!
As the creator of the Kurtherian Gambit Universe, I always enjoy learning what each new collaborator wants to write into the universe based and their interests and how they ‘found’ both the Kurtherian Gambit, or me, or other collaborators.
I am celebrating one full year of collaborating with Justin Sloan on December 8th with his Reclaiming Honor Books. It seems so very long ago (way more than a year) that we put that book up for pre-order and knocked it out of the park with 2,400 pre-orders in three weeks.
Then, I almost freaked out when the final update for the book (which must be done 72 hours before release) WOULDN’T UPDATE!
If we had failed to get the update online, then all 2,400 of the readers would receive the WRONG book.
OH CRAP!
I was told on a back channel how I could get ahold of someone with some clout at Amazon and I admit, I wasn’t shy with trying to throw around ANY success I had to get the update fixed in time. I have heard HORROR stories of authors whose pre-orders were sent out incorrectly.
You RARELY ever get past that screwup.
I know of one very successful author whose book’s reviews are around a 3 star because of a messed-up pre-order.
I shiver right now thinking about it.
Anyway, I was contacted and the file (it was their fault) was fixed in time. Crises averted.
When the Age of Magic started up, Justin was right there pimping PT and we are HAPPY he joined us. His stories in the Age of Magic (Storms of Magic) are just a blast. Personally, we are going to have to change his covers, or do something as they don’t convey the magic that is in the stories, and I think that is causing us issues on the sales side of his books.
Which sucks, because they are a lot of fun to read with characters and descriptions which make you go ‘inside’ the stories.
