Wrestling for My Life: The Legend, the Reality, and the Faith of a WWE Superstar
Page 16
To me, wrestling can appear so silly in comparison to what is most important in life. Yet God took this wretch of a guy, still gifted at my job but beaten up physically, forgave me of my sins, brought me back to wrestling, and lifted me higher than I thought possible.
All glory is God’s.
ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
I have to give many thanks, so bear with me. My family — Rebecca, Cameron, and Cheyenne — who continue to support and stick by my side as we go through this journey together. My parents, brothers, and sister, who have also supported me in all I do. My WWE family, who never gave up on me and welcomed me back.
Pastors John and Matthew Hagee and everyone associated with Cornerstone Church, who selflessly offered their help in all steps of my salvation and beyond. Keith and Priscilla Parker, whose love and discipleship were such a huge help to me.
Keith Mark and my MacMillan River Adventures family, the rose is off the bloom, the luster of doing an Outdoor show with the ex-WWE guy has worn off . . . and y’all do it anyway! Thank you!
Chris Stuart (for making that phone call days after I retired from WWE) and everyone at Encore Sports and Entertainment for working so hard to get this book done.
Everyone at HarperCollins and Zondervan for taking the chance on the “Wrestling Guy” and allowing him to tell his story.
And David Thomas, who helped write this book. I appreciate your patience, dedication, and hard work in every step of the process.
