Gambler

He nodded. “And for that moment I forgot that you are a part of that very family.”
She stared at him stunned by all this then nodded. “Okay, I accept your apology.”
“But...”
Her eyes narrowed at him.
“If there are any more surprises that you hold as secrets about Cordy and her actions you need to tell them. Especially, if it might hurt the club.”
She let out a sigh herself now. “Yes, you’re right.”
He nodded and raised a brow. “Now, all is okay?”
“Yes. It is.”
He tuned and went back to the main room.
Cricket just stood there stunned.
Raine then came over and led her back to their bedroom. He could see she was wiped out from exhaustion. “Are you going to tell me what that was all about?”
She smiled. “Nope. But he made it right is all I will say.”
He laid her down on the bed and curled up behind her. “Good. He needed to. How the fuck did I get so lucky as to get you?” he whispered in her ear as he snuggled her neck.
“How did I get so lucky to get you? That’s the better question,” she whispered back.
“Sleep now, you need the rest.” He nuzzled her neck.
Gambler pulled Paige into his arms and closed his eyes. They stood there quietly just holding on to each other.
Everything would be fine now. The threat to her and Dusty had been neutralized and after dawn would be no more. Their lives would be able to move forward and all the dreams he had could now come true.
“Oh my god, please tell me this is over?’ she whimpered to his chest.
“It’s over,” Gambler confirmed.
She peered up into the face of the man she loved. Raising her hands to his jaw and brushed the bruise Sinner had given him. “Why did you fight him? Don’t you know he could have killed you?”
His eyes darkened when he remembered seeing her in Sinner’s hold. “Why didn’t you stay downstairs with Ma and Cricket? Why were you up here all alone?” He rested his forehead against hers. “I thought you were safe only to find out you weren’t. I about died when he took your hostage.”
“I’m sorry. I had to know what was going on. I had to know you and the others were ok. I never thought he’d get to me until it was too late.”
“It’s over now and you, Dusty and Cricket are safe, at least from this bastard.” He lowered his head and glared at her. “However, you are in trouble with me. You never should have put yourself in that situation.”
Paige hesitated for a moment then looked at him with a fire he hadn’t seen in her eyes before. “Do you love me?”
Gambler nodded. “You know I do.”
“And do you believe that I love you too?”
Again, Gambler nodded.
“You fought a killer for me didn’t you? You stood up, in hand to hand combat and defeated him because if you didn’t, you thought he’d come back and hurt me again didn’t you? You put your life on the line to protect me, then why do you think I would do any less for you? Don’t you see? I love you the same way you love me. If you would put your life on the line for me then why can’t I stand beside you if the circumstances are the same?”
Gambler was humbled for a moment. “Let’s go get our son and go home. I want to hold you all night.”
Paige smiled mischievously. “I was hoping for more than just holding, big guy.”
“Yeah?” Gambler smiled. “Well now, there’s holding and then there’s holding.” He wiggled his eyebrows up and down a bit.
“Yeah that sounds interesting.” She ran her fingers down his chest to the waistband of his jeans. “Interesting indeed.” Her hand dropped down to cup his package briefly. “You go get Dusty and I’ll meet you at home.”
“Maybe we should leave Dusty here tonight,” he suggested.
“At least go check on him, make sure he’s ok. I can wait for you.”
Gambler disappeared inside the clubhouse and returned a few minutes later with a smile on his face. “Let’s go home woman.”
As soon as they got through the door, Gambler grabbed his woman and tossed her over his shoulder. He raced down the hall to their bedroom and threw her down on the bed.
She bounced twice and laughed as he followed her down.
Then she wasn’t laughing anymore as he ripped her clothes off, instead she was groaning as his hands and mouth worked her body. He already knew her trigger points and he hit every single one of them.
His teeth scraped down her neck until he hit the skin covering her pulse there. Then he could feel the change in tempo as he suckled her pressure point. He could hear her groan and he smiled. He could feel her body heat increase as he nibbled his way down her chest to her hardened nipples.
“Oh my god...” she whimpered as she felt his teeth close over her breast and sucked in the tip.
His big hands crept down her body to her wet core and she opened her legs for his invasion. His hips snuggled into her cradle and he nudged the tip of his cock into her wet heat. “Are you ready?” he whispered in her ear.
“Oh god yes...” she whimpered. “I need you inside me now. I want to feel you inside me, please...” she begged.
Gambler surged deep inside her and groaned as he filled her. He fit inside her like a glove. She just fit him. He was a big man and his cock wasn’t exactly small but every time they were together, he was surprised at how well they fit. The walls of her pussy caressed his hard cock like she was made for him and him alone.
Surging inside her time and time again, he could feel her nails dig deep into his shoulders and back. The pain was part of the pleasure and it grew until he felt her explode. He followed her over the edge with a shout and could feel himself pouring into her.
He groaned as he finished and felt weak as he slumped down on top of her. He couldn’t move for a moment then rolled off and snuggled at her side.
Neither of them spoke for a long time then Paige asked, “What happens next? With Sinner I mean.”
“At dawn, he’ll face a tribunal from both clubs,” Gambler said tiredly. Rubbing his hands over his tired eyes he told her, “What that man did will guarantee him a death sentence. Once the sentence is carried out, no one will be bothered by him again.”
Paige shivered and snuggled closer to him. “I can’t say that I’ll miss him.”
“Don’t think anybody will miss that bastard,” Gambler grumbled.
“At least we’re safe now,” Paige murmured as sleep stole her away.
He held her close and didn’t want to think about the fear he’d felt earlier when he saw her being held against her will in Sinner’s hands. He thought Sinner would kill her before he got the chance to tell her how much he loved her.
Holding her a little tighter, he breathed in her scent and to him, it was like coming home. Gambler closed his own eyes and slept for a while.
Just as the dawn was breaking over the horizon a group of men silently gathered at the front door. All fifteen of the Unholy were present, as were Deke, Gator, Bones, Mountain, Black Jack, Hound, Judge, Raine and Gambler.
Other members joined them as they had two men dragging a struggling Sinner along the trail that led deep into the woods.
The Bastards had a special place to carry out tribunals. They didn’t want any of the women and children to see what they were about to do. They might know what was happening but they didn’t want or need to see it.
When the men came into the clearing, the two men dragged a kicking and screaming Sinner up to the pole where they tied his hands above his head. Sinner glared at the whole bunch of men standing there.
“Matthew Reno, otherwise known as Sinner you are here to face a tribunal for your crimes against your former MC. You were responsible for the deaths of Tate, PeeWee, Hunter and Shorty, late of the Unholy MC. You stole money from the club and were going to let us all die. You betrayed us to another MC and spilled our secrets so they could use them against us and wipe us out. You
spilled our blood and thought you could just walk away free and clear with no consequences. Well, there are always consequences for what we do.” Guenther glared at the man and asked, “How do you plead?”
Sinner glared back at the man and spat at his feet. “Do you want to know why I did what I did?”
Guenther nodded. “It won’t make any difference to your sentence but yes, tell us why?”
“When I first joined the Unholy, I believed in the club,” Sinner began. “Hell, I enjoyed being part of something bigger than life. We were running drugs and guns back then, and the women, shit, the women were great, all the willing pussy a man could want. Shit that was the life. Then it all went to hell when we decided to go legit. Even the women changed. We weren’t outlaws no more and they weren’t near as friendly anymore. We lost our way and the MC couldn’t see that, either that or they just didn’t want to see it. With the Dog Warriors I had a chance to be somebody again, but even that went south didn’t it?” He straightened his shoulder as best he could with his injuries and stared at the men around him. Then his eyes swung over to Deke and the group of the Sin’s Bastards.
Deke stepped up and proclaimed, “Sinner, you came after two of our members’ women. Instead of being a man about it, you used fear and your weapons to get what you wanted. We protect our own. By coming after them, you came after us. Only a coward does that. By your own hand, you beat a member of this club almost to death and for that you should pay but because you’re old MC has the greater need, we will defer to their sentence.”
If Guenther and the others were surprised by this, they didn’t show it.
Guenther walked over to where Sinner was restrained and announced, “Sinner, it is the sentence of this tribunal to you be sentenced to death for your crimes against the Unholy MC.” He then pulled a weapon out of his holster and brought the gun to the middle of Sinner’s forehead.
“Excuse me,” Deke interrupted the movement.
Guenther and Trapped turned to glare at the man.
Deke held up his hands. “I agree the man needs to die, but here we do it another way. A way that leaves no trace of his body to come back and bite us in the ass.”
Guenther frowned and lowered his hand. “And what might that be?”
Deke and the other Sin’s smiled. “We feed his body to the hogs. They can eat a man alive or dead in eight minutes flat.” Swinging his head to glare at Sinner, he continued, “And they’re real hungry this morning.” Tipping his head to one side he added, “Mind you, I’ve heard that this is a more painful death than just a bullet.”
“I like your idea.” Guenther chuckled as he turned to glare at Sinner. “A much more deserving end.”
Sinner paled and began to struggle against his bindings. “You can’t do that to me. It’s inhuman. I won’t be food for pigs. Shoot me, shoot me now!”
Deke nodded at his men. “Make sure he’s secure then give the hogs their breakfast.”
“You want us to gag this fool?” Wiley asked.
“No,” Guenther barked out. “I want to hear his scream until he’s dead. He deserves to feel it all.”
Deke nodded and watched as Sinner was taken down, secured and dragged away.
They went and stood by as the sentence was carried out. It wasn’t easy to watch.
Deke didn’t stay nor did his men. They knew the man would at least be gone and that was all they cared about.
Guenther, Trapper and all the Unholy did stay and watch.
Deke moved away as the screaming slowed then finally stopped.
“I will never get used to that,” Gator said as he followed.
“It works though,” Sam added from behind Gator.
Deke said nothing.
Finally, the men waited by the front of the clubhouse
Deke, Sam, Gator, Trapper and Guenther now all stood together.
Guenther held out his hand to Deke, “Thank you. You kept your word.”
Deke shook it as he nodded. “This needed to happen just the way it did. I’m glad it worked out for both of us.”
“We need to be on our way home now. At least we got justice for the brothers who died by his hand.”
“And Cricket?” Deke asked. “She’s square with your MC too?”
Trapper shook his head. “We were never after her at all. We knew who to lay the blame on. We had to ask about the money though. That belonged to the club.”
“I still can’t believe her own sister set her up like that,” Guenther said.
Sam scoffed, “Yeah, her sister was a real peach that way.”
“If I don’t have the chance to see her before we leave will you tell her thank you again from me? The night my ole lady was mugged, she took a bad beating and almost lost our son. Losing the necklace I gave her was rough but she’ll love having it back now.”
Deke smiled. “You bet.”
When they reached the compound all the members of the Unholy were waiting for their leaders. Deke watched them all leave and turned to walk back inside the club.
“I’m glad that’s over,” he told his dad.
“Me too,” Bones agreed groaning as he flopped down into a chair. “Damn, I’m getting too old for this shit anymore.”
Deke chuckled. “I hear you old man, I hear you.”
Gambler joined them and stared at Deke for a moment. “Deke, I want you and Cassie to join Paige and I at the hospital this afternoon.”
Deke glared. “And why would we do that?”
“Because if you don’t, your wife is gonna be pissed at you for making her miss Paige’s wedding,” Gambler dropped his bomb.
“What wedding?” Deke frowned.
“Our wedding, of course.” Gambler smiled. “I’m gonna marry that woman today in front of her family and mine. Her dad may not be able to walk her down the aisle but I know he’d want to be there when she gets married and I’m not waiting another day to make her my wife.”
Deke glanced over at his dad then back to Gambler. “And does the intended bride know about the wedding yet?”
“Not yet, but I think she’ll get the idea.” Gambler chuckled. He sobered up and said, “I never want to go through what we went through last night. I love her and she loves me. I need to grab her and hold onto her tight. I refuse to let her go and this is the only way I know how to do that.” He paused then asked, “Will you come?”
Deke ran his hand down the side of his face. “Cassie will kill me if she misses it so yeah, we’ll be there.”
Bones ginned and held out his hand. “Welcome to the family kid.”
Gambler shook his hand. “Two o’clock, room 342. We’ll be there.”
At two p.m. the room number 342 was overflowing with people. They not only filled the room but spilled out and down the hall. Inside the room, Deacon spoke the immortal words and both Paige and Gambler said their wedding vows to everyone standing there.
Paige, Cassie, Peggy and Max had tears in their eyes as Paige became Mrs. Quincy Moore. Dusty proudly held the rings until it was time to pass them to his father. The bride was dressed in blue jeans and the groom proudly wore the colors of his MC.
When it was over, the hospital halls almost shook with the cheering that went on.

About K.J Dahlen
Author of the bestselling, award winning Bratva Brothers and Satan Spawns MC Series...
I live in a small town (population495) in Wisconsin. From my deck, I can see the Mississippi River on one side and the bluffs, where eagles live and nest on the other side. I live with my husband Dave and dog Buddy. My two children are grown and I h
ave two grandchildren. I love to watch people and that has helped me with my writing. I often use people I watch as characters in my books and I always try to give my characters some of my own values and habits.
I love to create characters and put them in a troubling situation then sit back and let them do all the work. My characters surprise even me at times. At some point in the book, they take on a life of their own and the twists and turns they create becomes the story. Of all the stories, I could write I found I like mystery/thrillers the best. I like to keep my readers guessing until the very end of the book.
