"Well, what do you think?" I asked.
"I don't know what to think. Kayden has never given me a reason not to trust him."
"What if he did cheat, or is cheating? What do you think you would do?" I asked, showing concern.
She exhaled heavily, "Girl, I don't even know. Because it's not just me this time, it includes this baby in here. So I don't even know," she said, looking up and smiling. I turned around to see Deija walking up, and then Danielle not far behind. We all greeted each other and sat back down.
"Deija, is that what I think it is on your finger?" I frowned, stuffing a breadstick in my mouth.
"Yes. I'm still in shock myself," she smiled, touching the ring.
"So when did this happen? Like, I thought y'all were kind of rocky!" Christy asked, confused.
"Oh we were. I was this close to leaving his ass. I caught him in a motel room with two random hoes. I told his ass straight up that I was done with him, which I have never done. He begged and begged, and you know my love sick ass agreed to give him another chance. A week or so later, he bought us a new condo and proposed to me," she smiled. All our jaws were on the floor.
“Wait, let's back track. What did you do to the bitches in his motel room?" Christy frowned. She was always about beating somebodies ass. I chuckled to myself.
"I was so over him and his shit that when I arrived, I didn't even acknowledge them bitches. I been fighting hoes off the whole relationship, and it’s changed nothing," she said, sipping her lemonade.
"You think he is serious this time?" I asked, secretly hoping he was. Deija was sweet, and I hated to see her get played like that.
"Hell yeah. Kendrew has never sat and begged me to forgive him. Nor has he made any effort in the past to move forward in the relationship. Especially nothing like proposing."
"Well shit, then I'm happy for you," Christy, said making us chuckle.
"But this is literally his last chance. If he does anything else, it's over for good," she said with a serious expression. We all shook our head yes. I hoped she was for real.
"Is it weird that all y'all last names will be King? Especially you, Nic and Christy, y'all already got the same last name," Danielle joked.
"I never thought about that. That is crazy; and that our babies are cousins. Well, second cousins. But KJ and Kameko are firsts," Christy laughed, and so did the rest of us.
"That is funny. How you been, Danielle?" I asked, smiling at her pretty self.
"I been great. And Damien is perfect," she beamed.
"He must be, ‘cause you're glowing, Dani," Christy smiled at her, and so did Deija.
"But um, guys, I wanted to talk to y'all about Tia," she glanced around the table at all our faces.
"Who is Tia?" Deija asked, looking confused.
"My best friend. She was killed," Danielle answered her. Deija turned her mouth to an O shape, and shook her head yes.
"Well, what did you want to talk about regarding Tia?" I asked as the waiter sat our plates down.
"I don't think French killed her," she said, waiting on our reaction.
"Okay?" Christy frowned.
"I think July or Gina did," she continued.
"Well Gina couldn't have done it," Christy chuckled, and forked some of her food. She realized we were staring at her, "Cause she a punk, that's why," she smiled uncomfortably. Kayden must’ve killed that bitch, I thought.
"Why you say them, Danielle?" I asked.
"Well, July used to tell me all the time how she could have Tia handled for dipping on me, if I wanted her to. I always declined, but she would say it all the time," Danielle replied. "Maybe y'all should tell y'all dudes, because I think July is coming for them. She was so upset at Kendrick for killing Trenton and Harley," Danielle continued.
Christy rolled her eyes at the sound of Trenton and July. I sat and thought about what she said, and decided to tell Kendrick what she said when I got home, just in case.
Chapter Six: Christy King
I came home from lunch with Nic, Deija, and Danielle, to find no one home. I called Kayden, and it rang and rang, then went to voicemail. I never got his voicemail, unless I forgot he had a performance and I called during it. I called again and got the same thing. I called his producer, who picked right up.
"Hey Leadah. Is Kayden there?" I asked as nicely as possible, even though I was furious. No matter what I was doing, this nigga made me go to the studio with him, so if he was there and didn't tell me, I knew there was a reason why. Just like Trenton.
"Yeah, we’re here with Apr...uh we're working on that new track," he replied. Kayden must've told this nigga not to say April’s name, but too late.
"Okay, thank you," I said and hung up.
I headed out the door, and sped to his studio. I was getting out before I even parked good. I stormed down the long hallway, until I reached the room. I heard April laughing and having a good ass time, which only infuriated me more. I barged in and saw Kayden standing in front of her on the couch, lip singing his parts on her song as she smiled. I got a lump in my throat, and my stomach dropped. I instantly thought back to when Deija said she just didn't have the energy to fight and at this moment, neither did I. What I saw before me may sound small, but it was two people who were more than friends. I knew how chemistry changed once you’d been intimate with someone. Kayden realized I was standing in the doorway, and his smile faded–all the confirmation I needed. I felt like shit knowing that my presence made his smile fade.
"Christy, baby. What you doing here?" he asked while gesturing for Leadah to turn off the music.
"I uh, came to uhm, see something. And I…uhm saw so, I'm gonna head home," I said, still baffled by my thoughts.
"Hey Christy!" April beamed. I gave her a half smile, and quickly backed out of the studio. As I was walking back down the hallway, I realized Kayden was following me.
"Christy, why you leaving?" he said as he grabbed my arm, and turned me around to see tears in my eyes.
"We're done Kayden," I said calmly as I sniffled.
"Done? What? Done with what?" he frowned, like he had no fuckin idea.
"This," I said, pointing back and forth between him and I. "You and I. I don't want to be with you anymore," I continued.
"Why? What did I do Christy? What's going on?!" he asked, frantically searching my eyes like he could find the answer.
"That, in there," I pointed to his studio.
"April? Ma. Ain't nothing going on with her."
"I'm not stupid, Kayden. Either you can be a man and be honest, or you can continue to lie like a coward," I said, wiping my tears.
He pulled me close to him, "Christy. I promise there is nothing going on with April and I. Nor has anything ever happened with us."
I chuckled and softly pushed him off me. "I'm gon’ stay with my mother, Kayden," was all I said as I walked out. He followed me, calling my name, and I acted like I didn't hear him. I was done with Kayden, and I was so hurt.
I barely made it past the first stoplight before I broke down. I couldn't believe him. The Kayden I knew, loved me more than anything would never jeopardize our relationship. The Kayden I knew was always honest and upfront, one of the things I loved about him. My phone was going off like crazy, and I saw Kayden calling back to back and texting me. I put it on do not disturb, and continued home so I could pack a few things before I figured out my next move. While I was packing, Kayden came into the room. I didn't even know he came home; that was the only bad part about having a big house.
"Really Christy? What proof do you have, or valid reasoning to leave me?" he said, leaning on the door frowning.
"I saw you guys together. The way you were interacting. How your smile disappeared when you saw me," I said, not bothering to look up at him.
"Christy I–"
"Be honest, Kayden! Damn! You always saying how much of a man you are, then show me! Tell me the fucking truth! I know you! Don't forget that! The longer you keep lying to me, the worse all this i
s gonna get!" I screamed loud as fuck.
He paused and looked at my open suitcase, "Okay. Alright," he finally said in a low tone, looking back at me.
"I never slept with her, kissed her, or nothing like that,” he started while walking closer to me. “She um, she uh did give me some head, on…on the night of my birthday," he finished.
I felt like my heart was gonna burst out of my chest. I immediately started to breath heavily, and tears flooded my eyes. I felt too weak to continue packing, and I sat down on the bed slowly. I dropped my head in my hands and just got it all out. I felt Kayden wrap his arms around me and kiss my head. I begged him to tell me, knowing I couldn’t handle the truth.
"Ma I'm sorry. It meant absolutely nothing at all. I don't even know why I did that shit," he said in a low tone. “I was drunk and high as hell. I know that is no excuse, but it’s not like I was in my right mind when it happened,” he continued to explain himself.
"Kayden I can't," I said, shaking my head and sobbing hard as hell.
He dropped to his knees in front of me, "No baby. You can. You can. We're married. You can ma. Don't...don't do this, babe. It's me, Kayden, I love you, and you know it meant nothing to me," he pleaded with his voice slightly shaking. I looked up to see tears in his eyes. “Maaaa, don’t do this,” he said, shaking his head no, and looking me in my eyes.
"You don't love me Kayden," I said, unfortunately meaning every word.
He sniffled, "Christy. I do. I'm deeply in love with you, and I love you baby. Please, I'm begging you to forgive me. I stopped it from going further once I realized what I was doing. Please Christy, don't leave me. Please," he begged and begged me as I cried. He rubbed my stomach and planted kisses on it. "Don't let that break us up, we belong together Christy. For better or for worse, remember?"
"Why Kayden? I don't get it. You knew what I went through with Trenton," I cried like a damn baby. His one mistake hurt more than the hundred times Trenton cheated put together.
"I don't know ma, but let me make it up to you. I'm so sorry baby. I love you. Please let me try and fix this," he pleaded, kissing all over my face.
“No, Kayden no," I said, standing up, and then continued to pack my clothes. Once I was done, I started to head out of the bedroom.
"Please ma," Kayden begged one last time. I ignored him and put my stuff in the car.
Chapter Six: Jessica Leon
I had a doctor’s appointment, and Kendon was set on taking me. I tried every reason in the book for him not to come, but he wanted to. I had some spotting and he was happy as fuck, hoping I was pregnant; this shit was getting annoying. I was looking out the window the whole way there, hoping I wasn't pregnant because Kendon and I were not ready for a baby at all.
We arrived to the doctor, and I was sweating bullets waiting for them to call my name. Kendon was smiling and all bubbly the whole time.
"Leon," the nurse called, making Kendon and I get up to go to the back. We waited in the room for the doctor to come in.
"I already know you pregnant, ma," he smiled, biting his lip.
"No I'm not, Kendon," I shook my head.
"How you know?" he smirked.
"Cause I know, and–"
"Hello Ms. Leon!" the doctor walked in, cutting me off.
"Hello Dr. Keen. This is my boyfriend, Kendon," I replied.
"Nice to meet you Kendon. And you are comfortable discussing your medical history with Mr. Kendon here, correct?"
"Yes it's fine," I said, playfully rolling my eyes and smiling at him.
"Great," she said, scribbling on her clipboard and sitting on her stool. "Now why are we here today, Ms. Leon?" she asked, looking up at me on the examination table.
"Well, I had some spotting and I just wanted to make sure everything is okay."
"Well, they did have you give a urine specimen, so we’ve already determined that you are not pregnant. But we can pull some swabs, and make sure there are no STD's or anything serious causing the spotting," she smiled, putting on her gloves.
"I better not have any STD's, and okay that’s fine," I said, playfully glaring at Kendon and making him laugh.
She took some swabs from my cervix, and collected whatever she needed.
"Okay Ms. Leon, you are all set, and if something comes up I will call you in about a week. If nothing is wrong, you won't hear from me," she smiled.
"And you sure she isn't pregnant?!" Kendon smiled.
"Positive she isn't pregnant," Dr. Keen laughed as she stood up.
"Damn, gotta try harder!" Kendon joked, making us laugh.
"So you guys are ready for a baby this time?" she smiled.
"What do you mean, ready this time?" Kendon frowned.
"Well, last time Ms. Leon was pregnant, she felt it was best to have an abortion." As soon as the words left her mouth, my stomach dropped in fear. My mouth was dry as hell, and I just wanted to rewind time.
"Oh right, right," Kendon half smiled to play it off, like he just forgot. He glared at me when the doctor wasn't looking.
"Well Kendon, it was nice meeting you, and have a good rest of the day, Ms. Leon!" she smiled and exited the room so I could get dressed.
"I'm not fucking with you no more! We a fucking wrap!" Kendon said, pointing his finger in my face as soon as she left.
"Kendo–!" He left the room immediately. I cried for a few minutes before pulling myself together, and made sure my eyes weren't puffy.
I went to the parking lot, scrolling my contacts to call my grandmother for a ride, but I spotted Kendon's car still here. I walked up slowly and tugged on the door handle lightly. I was surprised that it was open, and then I hopped in. He immediately cranked up the car and sped home in silence. He pulled up our long driveway, and threw the car in park while it was still running.
"You not getting out?" I asked. He hit the unlock button, ignoring me. "Kendon I'm sorry! It was months ago! I didn't think we were ready!" I yelled through tears.
"Yeah, and I had no say so in that shit, hunh? It's always whatever Jessica says, goes! You right, we not ready for no baby! You too damn selfish to be anybody's mother! You can't even be a damn girlfriend!" he spat, breaking my heart into pieces.
"Kend–"
"Get out my fucking car! I have somewhere to be!" he yelled loud as hell, making me jump.
I paused, then exited his car. I stood in the driveway crying as he backed out quickly and left. I went inside and cried hard, soaking my pillow. I wish I could turn back time, and do all that shit over. I loved Kendon more than anything, and I lost him.
Chapter Six: Kendon King
I was pissed the fuck off! As far as I was concerned, Jessica and I were done. I would not be going home until I was sure she was gone. I would be staying at my condo for the time being. She was a snake, and I couldn't rock with that shit. Really? You had an abortion? Then you fucking lie to me and say it was a miscarriage? Cried with me and shit, like it was really true and everything! There was no way I could trust her! And if there was no trust, there was no relationship!
I hit up Kendrew to see if he wanted to come to KB's with me tonight, but he declined ‘cause he tryna be on his good nigga tip with Deija. I hit up Maurice and Jules, and they agreed to meet me there.
I arrived, and it was packed as usual. I was ready to go hard in the paint tonight, since I was a single man. All the bad hoes was stripping tonight, including Honey and this new bitch named Adrienne. My boys and I headed to the table that was reserved for my brothers and I whenever we dropped by. Maurice and Jules started popping bottles, and the drinks started flowing. A couple chicks came to sit with us, and I was friendly as hell tonight. Honey came over and sat in Jules' lap, kissing his neck and shit. I'm pretty sure they were a couple these days. I don't know how he was okay with the fact that she sucked Kendrick up a couple times, but whatever, every nigga is different. The new chick Adrienne kept staring at me, so I waved her fine ass over. She looked like a thicker Christina Milian, and I was definitely attract
ed to her.
"What's up with you?" she asked, flashing her pretty smile. I could tell she had some Cuban in her blood, like Jessica. Jessica looked like a darker version of that actress off Pretty Little Liars; Shay Mitchell, or something like that.
"Chilling," I said, flashing her a smile.
She sat down next to me and poured herself a drink. "Backflip" by Casey Veggies came on, and she started giving me a lap dance. My dick was hard as a rock as she twerked her fat ass on it. We continued to turn up and get fucked up until about 2 a.m.
"Can I leave with you?" she asked, smiling. I looked her up and down and shook my head yes. I grabbed her hand and led her out to the parking lot to get in my car.
"You drove here?" I asked, cranking my car up.
"Nah, my cousin dropped me off," she replied, fixing her bikini top and making my mouth water. I couldn't wait to wrap my lips around her nipples.
I sped to my condo as we smoked a couple more blunts; I was high as hell. We arrived to my spot and rushed up the stairs, where I hurriedly unlocked my door. Soon as we got in, I removed her bra and picked her up so I could suck on her nipples.
"Ahhhh. Shit," she moaned as I sucked and licked on each one. I put her on my bed and removed my jacket, shirt, and jeans. She sat up and removed my dick from my boxers. She made my shit disappear as she bobbed up and down on it. She gagged a little, making my dick even harder. I grabbed a handful of her hair and started fucking the shit out of her face, until I busted all over her it. I turned her over and tugged her panties down, only to her knees. I tapped my dick against her pussy, and it was sopping wet. I took two fingers and played with her pussy a little bit, just to make sure her smell was right; and it was. If I knew her better, I'd be eating that shit from the back. I rolled the condom down on my dick and eased into her shit. She was wet as hell, and a nigga almost came. Her pussy was virgin tight, like ain’t shit been in there. I thrusted into her hard and fast, making her cum down her inner thighs.
"Fuckkkkkk daddy!" she moaned as she shivered.
I grabbed her shoulders and plowed into her hard as hell, until I came hard as fuck. I came so hard that I collapsed on her back. After I threw the condom away, I came back to bed with her.
