Adventures of Pebble Beach

by Berger, Barbara

Jon and Adam continue to consume enormous quantities of food. Every once in a while, when Pebble is least expecting it, they reward her efforts to become Mother of the Century with a rare flash of kindness or brilliance. Sometimes, too, without her asking for it, they wash all the dishes and vacuum clean the entire apartment. When this happens, Pebble is quite sure she died and went to heaven.

Pebble’s mother, Molly, never mellows, even with age. But when her brother Mel tells her that Pebble is dating Richard Davis, and that Richard Davis could, perhaps, become a serious candidate in the life of her star daughter, Molly is instilled with new hope for the future. Her father’s only comment is, “Maybe she’ll get married and come home.”

At Roundfire we publish great stories. We lean towards the spiritual and thought-provoking. But whether it’s literary or popular, a gentle tale or a pulsating thriller, the connecting theme in all Roundfire fiction titles is that once you pick them up you won’t want to put them down.
