A Little Harmless Surprise

Page 2

by Melissa Schroeder

May took a deep breath as Evan eased the plug into her puckered hole. Once he had it in all the way, he skimmed his fingers over her sensitive flesh. The touch was so light she didn’t expect the smack he landed on her ass. She sucked in a deep breath as the sharp sting of his palm radiated out over her flesh. He smacked her again, a little harder.

Instinctively, she tightened her muscles around the plug and now she did groan. Her pussy throbbed, needy for the pleasure she knew they would give her. They had barely started and she could feel need clawing at her soul, begging to be satisfied. She bit her lower lip, trying to control herself.

Evan leaned closer to her face and she felt the brush of his mouth against her temple.

  “Ready?” he asked.

She opened her mouth, but nothing came out but a moan escaped as Rome cupped her breast. He brushed her nipple pulling gasp from her.

  “May?” Evan asked.

“Yes,” she said and even she recognized the craving in her voice.

“Well, then, let’s really get started driving you crazy.”

  Chapter Four

Hunger crawled through Evan’s system. He had to fight back the need to just call an end to the games and take May right then and there. He didn’t really give a damn at that moment what Rome thought or even that he was there. Fuck, he didn’t care if they were on display for the crowd at Rough ’n Ready. He just wanted her now.

After all this time, it still amazed him that with each passing day, his need for May grew. He didn’t think there would ever be a woman he needed this much, but right now, at this moment, he would give anything in the world to insure they would be together forever.

He pulled back in his emotions and got down to the task at hand. Driving his wife insane.

Evan handed the crop over to Rome. “Spank her red.”

His friend’s mouth quirked up as he accepted the crop. Rome slipped off the bed and stood behind May. If Evan had been worried that Rome would hesitate in their games, it vanished the moment he saw him pull back his arm and smack May on the ass. The sound of the leather hitting her flesh filled the air. It was a new experience seeing another man discipline May. And as before, he wasn’t jealous. Maybe it had more to do with the woman he was in love with than his trust in Rome.

Evan crawled up on the bed as Rome continued to spank her with slow, hard strokes. As soon as Evan was in front of her, he slipped his fingers through her hair, enjoying the way the silky strands slid against his skin. He wound the hair around his hand and gently pulled her head up. With his free hand, he positioned his cock in front of her mouth.

  “Take me in, May.”

She licked her lips and complied readily. With the first thrust into her mouth, he almost lost it. The liquid heat surrounded him, her tongue dancing over his flesh. He hadn’t told her to do that, but dammit, it felt good. It would be hard to reprimand her for that. He barely noticed that Rome had stopped his spanking and was moving to between her thighs. Her moan told him the moment Rome touched his mouth to her pussy. He could feel the vibrations move over his cock and it took every ounce of his control not to come.

May’s moans were growing. Evan pulled away then bent down until he was eye level with her. Her lips were swollen and wet. He gave her a quick kiss.

“Don’t come unless I tell you,” he ordered.

She opened her eyes. They were hazy with her arousal, and he knew she was close as he was. He gave her another kiss, the moved off the bed.

“My turn, Rome. I want to a taste of that pussy.”

Rome gave her one last lick then pulled away and got up on the bed. Evan flipped her over and she laughed when she hit the bed. He looked at her then, her hair spread out over the blue comforter, the way her eyes sparkled up at him. His heart squeezed at the sight.

I did this. I made her this happy.

He dropped to his knees in front of her, pulled her until her legs were dangling off the bed. He placed a hand on each thigh and pushed her legs further apart. It was easy to see her need. He had shaved her the night before, a duty he had taken over months ago. Her pussy glistened with her juices, her clit was hard and wanting. Without another word, he pressed his mouth against her mound. She was hot and wet and he could just imagine the way her muscles would clamp down tight on his cock as he thrust in and out of her. He did that with his tongue, teasing her clit. She shivered and moaned, but from the muffled sound he could tell that Rome had taken her mouth.

Evan slipped two fingers into her and took her clit between his teeth. He could tell she was close, and on an ordinary night, he might push her, see just how far she could go. But his control was slipping bit by bit. He pulled away and her groan of frustration had both men chuckling. Evan went to the bedside table and retrieved a couple of condoms. He tossed one to Rome then opened his own package and slipped the condom on.

He returned to the bed, anticipation skating over his nerves as he pulled her on top of him. From her surprised look, he knew she had expected him to take her from behind. He gave her a slow, long kiss.

“I want to see you when you come,” he whispered against her mouth.

She closed her eyes and shivered. When she opened them, he could see unshed tears before she blinked them away. She pulled herself up, straddling him, then took him inside of her. Slowly, she sunk down on him. By the time he was in her completely, he could feel perspiration dotting his forehead. From May’s smile, he could tell she knew she was driving him crazy. He wrapped his fingers around her forearms and tugged her closer.

  “Bad May.”

“That’s my name,” she said with a cheeky grin. She tightened her muscles around him and he groaned.

Rome had climbed up behind May gave her a hard slap on the ass. She turned to say something to him, but Evan stopped her.

“No. He’s right. You spoke without permission.”

Her frown told him she didn’t like it, but he saw the way her eyes danced. Rome eased closer then pulled out the butt plug. He coated a finger with lube. Evan watched May’s face as Rome sunk his fingers into her. She closed her eyes and shivered again. Her muscles spasmed around his cock. Soon, Rome shifted closer, his cock in his hand, waiting for Evan’s go ahead.

“May, honey, this is going to be a little different.”

She opened eyes and nodded. Evan slipped his hands down her body, enjoying the feel of her soft skin against his roughened palms. When he reached her ass, he pulled her cheeks apart to make it easier for Rome. The moment his friend moved past the first tight ring of muscle, May gasped and she closed her eyes again.

When Rome was finally all the way into her, they started moving. She groaned when they first moved out then thrust back in. He watched her face fill with wonder at the feel of being filled with two cocks. He thrust up into her, enjoying the way her muscles tightened over his cock, pulling him in. May leaned down almost blindly, and took his mouth in a deep, wet kiss. Lust and love entwined his heart.

  “Come for me, do it.”

She didn’t even hesitate. The words apparently sent her over the edge. She screamed his name as she convulsed between the two of them. Her muscles tightened on him, and he was sure on Rome. His friend smacked her ass as his movements started to increase in speed. Rome thrust into her one more time, groaning as he took his pleasure.

Evan, though, wasn’t done. It took two more thrusts before he came, pulling May into another headlong rush of ecstasy as they reached orgasm together.

  Chapter Five

An unfamiliar ringtone brought May out of deep sleep. She moved to grab her phone when she encountered another, larger hand already scooping up the phone. She knew it wasn’t Evan because he was snuggled in behind her, his body heat keeping her warm. She blinked her eyes then opened them all the way as Rome’s deep voice talked in hush tones. He was already dressed, or at least halfway there. He wore the same dress pants but he held his shirt with his free hand.

It was easy to see why so many subs gravitated to Rome. He
was one of those deep waters kind of guys. He exuded quiet confidence and domination in every move. Even half-awake, she could see that.

“Where?” he asked. She could hear the concern in his voice. He listened quietly as the other person responded. “Okay. Be there in twenty minutes or less.”

He turned off his phone and sent her an apologetic look. “Sorry.”

“No problem, Romeo.” She smiled at his dark look. Rome didn’t like anyone using his given name. “I understand with your job.”

He pulled on his shirt and buttoned it with quick movements. “I have to go.”

She could hear the regret in his voice and she felt it too. She wasn’t planning on any kind of permanent ménage and she knew for a fact, Evan would never do this again. But she had hoped to have another round before he left.

“You seem to be working a lot of late hours now that you moved to homicide.”

He shrugged. “I worked homicide in Seattle. It was much worse there.”

She could imagine it was. Honolulu was a big, little city. There was crime, but not anything compared to the mainland.

Evan’s arm snaked out, encircling her waist and pulling her tighter against him. “You get a call?”

  “Yeah. Dead girl, Makaloa Street.”

“That’s not far from the club,” Evan said.

“I know. I’ll let you know if there’s any connection. More often it is just someone in the wrong place at the wrong time. Probably has nothing to do with your business.”

Evan was already moving out of the bed. He grabbed a set of shorts, pulled them on, but Rome was already shaking his head.

“I can show myself out,” he said, then looked down at her. He hesitated, then leaned closer to brush his lips over her forehead. “Thanks.”

And, as usual, he walked quietly away. When they heard the front door shut, May sighed.

Evan pulled her back onto the mattress then covered her with his body. “That wasn’t a sigh of regret I heard, was it?”

She laughed. “No. He just seems so lonely.”

Evan rolled his eyes. “The man can have just about any sub in Rough ’n Ready, and does most of the time.”

“There’s more to it than sex and you know it,” she said playfully slapping at his shoulder. “Rome is the one person who can be in a room full of people and look, well, so singular.”

Evan nodded as he settled fully against her. “Yeah, I have a feeling he does that on purpose.”

“Of course he does. What he needs is someone in his life.”

Evan groaned and rolled off her. “No. You are not going to start fixing people up. And especially not Rome. He could make our lives hell if you piss him off.”

She snuggled up against him, seeking his warmth and comfort. “You know he would never do anything to us, or the club for that matter. He just seems like he needs a good woman. It did wonders for you.”

He kissed the top of her head. “I have to agree with that. I have something else for you.”

“Another pressie? Oh, is it that new guy from the mainland, the one with the curly blond hair and all those hard…muscles?” she asked.

He rose and smacked her ass. “Behave.”

Instead of pulling off his clothes and joining her back on the bed, Evan retrieved the box he’d held earlier. He hesitated for a second, then handed it to her. She admired the red hibiscus wrapping paper for a second before tearing into it. He chuckled in response.

“I guess you’re not going to be shy on Christmas.”

She laughed. “You know I love presents.” They shared a smile as she was sure he remembered opening their wedding presents when they returned from their honeymoon.

She tossed the paper behind her on the floor. When she opened the box she stilled. Nestled in the black tissue paper was a red leather collar. She looked up at Evan who was still standing by the bed looking very vulnerable. Oh, he had his big old macho Evan stance that she recognized, but there was something in his gaze that told her there was a part of him that worried about her reaction.

She pulled it out and sighed. She knew without a doubt Evan had it specially made for her. The leather was wonderfully crafted and soft to the touch. A heart charm made of what looked like Hawaiian gold dangled from the front of it. She turned it over.

  Kau ā kau.

  “Forever and always,” she murmured.

“Season after season,” Evan said, giving the true interpretation.

The gesture was more than she expected. They had dedicated themselves to each other months before the wedding. Then, of course, they had promised themselves in front of their family and friends. She hadn’t even thought they had another step, but apparently Evan did.

  “It’s beautiful.”

His shoulders relaxed. “You do know what it means, don’t you?”

She nodded. “But…I thought you knew I was yours. Always.”

He sat next to her on the bed and took the collar from her hands. “I do. Tonight was more about me. Do you understand?”

Tears burned the backs of her eyes as she shook her head.

He sighed as he undid the clasp. She knew that even now Evan was comfortable with explaining himself. That he took the time to do it with her meant more to her than the rings on her finger. He slipped it around her neck then refastened the clasp in the back.

“I had it custom made for you by Maui Kink. I thought you knew what I was up to.”

She shook her head. “Not a clue.”

He blew a sigh of relief. “I had it sent to Micah to make sure it didn’t arrive while I was out. I know you. You would have opened it in a heartbeat.”

She frowned at him. “You make me sound like some kind of gold digger.”

He chuckled then his smile faded. “Tonight was more about my feelings for you. I could give you this, because I trust you completely. I understand that you’re mine.”

“And you’re mine,” she said as a tear rolled down her cheek.

He cupped her face with both hands. “Don’t cry, Maylea.”

She shook her head. “Happy tears.”

“Women.” He shook his head, then leaned his forehead against hers. “I give this to you because from now, it is just us, committed to each other. You and me.”

She nodded and kissed him. The sweet gesture soon turned ravenous as Evan slipped his tongue against the seam of her lips. Without hesitation, she opened her mouth to him, needing him on that crazy level she always did. He was the other part of her soul she had been missing for so many years.

Evan eased her back onto the bed and covered her with his body once more. He nipped at her neck and started kissing his way down her body and she thought of little else than the pleasure he gave her for the next few hours.

The woman who called herself Gennifer brushed a blonde curl back over her shoulder and smiled at the bartender as he set her strawberry margarita in front of her.

  “Thanks.”

“Will there be anything else?” He offered her a smile that promised more than drinks. And, at one time, she would have taken him up on it. Young, virile, he had light green eyes that stood out against his bronze skin. But…
she didn’t need or want another man.

She shook her head and sipped her drink. As he worked his way down the bar, she watched him, handling locals and tourists with the ease. In Honolulu, she was sure it was something that gained him a lot of good tips. And, she thought as she took another sip, he could mix a mean margarita, heavy on the tequila, thank God.

Gennifer looked in the mirror behind the bar and studied the crowd of sunburned tourists decked out in their new Hawaiian outfits, and that’s when she saw him. Her stomach clenched, her nerves stretched. He was right on time as he always was. She couldn’t remember if he’d ever been late. The man was probably born on time with minimum fuss.
