Spreading my legs even wider, I grabbed Cade’s shoulder and dug my nails in, luxuriating in every sensation from Gaines in my mouth to Cade buried deep in my pussy.

Cade grunted against my breast, pulled out, then seated himself as far as he could go. “Fucking hell. So goddamn hot.” He surged forward, smacking his thighs against mine and sending a wave of pleasure skittering across my senses.

I squealed and sealed my lips around Gaines as he pushed harder against the roof of my mouth, pressing my head back into the bed. Cade started a slow rhythm, plunging in steady strokes as he sucked first one nipple and then another. Gaines withdrew from my mouth and backed off the bed. Cade took full advantage and lay on top of me, fucking me harder as he pressed his lips to mine. My breasts melted into his hard chest as he dominated every inch of my body. I gripped his shoulders, feeling the corded muscle contract with each strong thrust, my pussy throbbing from the delicious friction of our bodies.

Each hard stroke made my clit tingle, and Cade didn’t stop. He was powerful, his body pistoning into mine with ease. The sound of our skin slapping together echoed around the room, and I wondered for a moment if the glass walls looking out onto the city were transparent from the outside as well. Was someone watching us? The thought seared a path of arousal through me, and I worked my hips on Cade’s shaft, meeting him on each stroke.

“Fuck yeah.” He surged faster, his cock staying deep as I clung to him.

“Over.” Gaines returned to the bed, a bottle of lube in one of his large hands.

Cade rolled so I was on top. I pushed up, placing my palms flat on his chest, and worked my hips. He reached up and palmed my breasts, squeezing and pinching my nipples as I rode him. The pleasure in my pussy grew with each movement. I was close.

Gaines moved behind me, his legs straddling Cade’s and his chest pressed to my back. I slid against him, still grinding on Cade’s cock as Gaines ran his hands down my sides and gripped my hips. I gasped when his rock hard cock nestled between my ass cheeks. He flattened a palm on my upper back and pushed me down to Cade, who started thrusting up into me as he wrapped his arms around me.

When I felt the cool liquid drizzle down my ass, I cooled a little. “I-I haven’t done that in a long time.”

“Did you like it?” Gaines ran his thumb along my asshole, rubbing in the lube. I squirmed at how delicious the contact felt.

“It was college. I don’t really remember.” I dropped my head to the hollow of Cade’s shoulder as he continued his long, slow strokes.

“You’ll remember it this time.” Gaines pressed a finger into my ass. “You’re going to come with both of us inside you.”

I shuddered, but if it was from fear or anticipation, I couldn’t tell.

“Trust us.” Cade ran a hand through my hair and pulled my mouth to his. The heat of passion in his kiss melted away my misgivings. I returned to the moment, completely surrendering to the two of them.

Gaines moved his finger in and out of my ass to the same rhythm as Cade’s pulses into my pussy. I tangled my tongue with Cade’s, our kiss growing messier, overtaken by our need. Then Gaines slipped another finger in, stretching me and adding more lube to my tight hole. It hurt at first, but Gaines was patient, using his fingers to get me ready. Discomfort turned into something else as Gaines worked me, and I began to push back onto his fingers.

“That’s it. Good girl.” Gaines withdrew his fingers and replaced them with the head of his hard cock.

He nudged into me, to the point it hurt. I squealed, but Cade swallowed the sound and ran his hands to my ass. He pulled my cheeks apart while also pressing me down onto him, giving my clit just the contact it needed.

Cade slowed his pace as Gaines entered me with painstaking movements. Even as I squirmed and squeaked at the intrusion, Cade kept kissing me and reassuring me. I was so full, every sensation multiplied.

“Such a good girl.” Gaines grunted and stopped. “You’re taking me so well.”

I should have been offended, should have hated being called a “good girl.” Instead, I craved the praise, especially when Gaines said it. He pulled back, then eased in farther.

Gaines exhaled the word “fuck” on a long breath, then began riding my ass, his strokes timed with Cade’s until they worked together, each of them fucking me, filling me, making me lose my mind from the intense sensations washing over me. I dropped my mouth to Cade’s neck and bit down. He groaned and pushed me up so he could grab my breasts, holding them in his big palms as Gaines gripped my hip and used his other hand to fist my hair. He pulled me until my back arched and I could look up into his eyes. Staring down at me, he kept thrusting.

“I won’t last long in your tight little asshole.” He shoved harder, and my toes curled at the rush of delicious heat.

“Together,” Cade rasped and slid one hand down to my pussy. He used his thumb to stroke my clit while both of them pistoned into me.

  I closed my eyes.

Gaines shook me gently. “I want to see you come. Open.”

I stared up at him, his jaw tense as he and Cade possessed every bit of me. My breaths came in shallow pants. Cade stroked my clit in a quickening tempo, until I couldn’t focus on anything except the pleasure.

“I’m going to come.” I could barely get the words out.

My breath hitched in my throat, and my hips worked on their own, slaves to the approaching orgasm. My body seized, and I stared deep into Gaines’s eyes as every nerve ending in my body vibrated. I gasped as everything tensed and relaxed in rolling waves of delicious release. Everything went Technicolor. I moaned low in my throat as they both fucked me harder, each stroke making the explosion burn brighter, longer, hotter inside me.

Gaines kissed me, his lips smashing into mine as he thrusted one more time and grunted. He gripped my hip so hard I knew there would be fingertip bruises there the next day. I soaked in the final throes of my release, every bit of pent-up tension and energy leaving my body. Gaines shot into me just as Cade surged upward, his cock kicking inside my still-convulsing pussy. The thought of their hot come inside me sent me even higher. My orgasm intensified, and I came again. My breath was gone. I dug my nails into Cade’s chest, looking for something to anchor the intensity of my release. There was nothing, only the feeling of drowning in the most complete pleasure I’d ever felt.

“Oh my god!” My words were a strangled cry as Gaines broke our kiss. I pushed down on Cade and rubbed my clit against him until the sensation was too much. My orgasm started to subside, and I finally took a breath.

Cade groaned and thrusted once more before settling down into the bed. Gaines released me, and Cade pulled me to his chest. Sweat slicked our bodies, and Gaines rested his forehead on my back.

I was floating, not ready to come down from the high they’d given me. Cade petted my hair in long, sweet strokes.

Gaines pulled out slowly, and an ache erupted deep inside me. I would be sore later, but I’d also smile when I remembered how I got that way.

“You okay?” He dropped a kiss on my ass cheek.

“Yes.” It was more mumble than word.

He hurried off to what I assumed was the bathroom. I let Cade hold me, both of us just breathing. Turning my head, I took in the view again and marveled at the wealth of both men. Other than a calculation of their net worth and a basic understanding of their history from articles and interviews, I didn’t know them. Hell, up until a few hours ago, I’d thought they were gay. Definitely not gay. I snorted.

Cade pulled my chin up to him, his smile putting me at ease. “What’s funny?”

“I just . . .” Hell, he was still inside me. I figured I might was well tell him the truth. “I thought you two were gay.”

He dropped a sweet kiss onto the tip of my nose. “No. Not gay.”

“So you two have never . . .”

He shook his head. “No. We aren’t into each other like that. Think of us as two best friends who have a particular enjoyment of sharing wo
men.”

I canted my head to the side. “So you never sleep with women alone?”

“Sometimes.” His cock slid out, and I wanted it back. “But usually, no. Especially if there’s a woman we are both interested in, like you.”

“Don’t give her all our juicy secrets.” Gaines returned and wiped me down with a warm washcloth. I rolled over onto my back, and he cleaned me with an almost clinical precision while Cade went to the bathroom. “Besides, I think we’ve already given you our best-kept secrets.”

I glanced down to his half-mast cock and swallowed hard. “Yes.”

Gaines rose and returned to the bathroom. Low voices made the hair on my arm prickle. They were talking about me. I was sure of it. Fuck. I needed to leave. That’s how these things worked. You had sex and then you left. Just because I hadn’t had sex in over a year didn’t mean I’d forgotten how to do the walk of shame.

I scurried out of bed and into the living room. My bra and dress lay on the floor in front of the elevator. I swiped them up and started to put my bra on.

“Hey, what are you doing?” Cade’s voice. He walked out of the bedroom. Wearing nothing but a pair of boxers, he carried a white t-shirt in one hand. “I got this for you.” He held it out.

I looked up at him and tried to gauge the correct response. “Thanks, but I should probably—”

Before I could finish my thought, he pulled me to his chest, ran a hand through my hair, and laid another breathtaking kiss on me. My knees threatened to go, and he held me up with one strong arm as his tongue had its way with mine.

Cade walked past and smacked my ass. “Come on. I got the champagne.” He settled on one of the leather couches and poured three glasses.

Gaines released me, but held my hand and led me to the couch. I sat and pulled the shirt on over my head. It was large enough for the hem to hit along my upper thigh.

“Here.” Cade handed me a glass. I took a sip and leaned back against the cool leather. Protocol was that I was supposed to leave, but they made it clear they wanted me to stay. So, I stayed.

“So, tell us more about you. Why did you want to be an attorney?” Gaines waited for Cade to pour a glass for himself, then grabbed the bottle and took two long swigs.

I surveyed the room—the fire in the glass fireplace, the wide windows, the posh furniture. Their world was so different from mine. Would they laugh at what I really wanted to do with my legal degree? “Actually, I wanted to go into Legal Aid. Mainly I wanted to work with impoverished seniors on the best way to conserve what little assets they had and how to protect themselves from elder abuse.”

“Hm. I like that. It seems like you.” Cade settled into the couch, his arm comfortably resting against mine. He wore red boxers, and wore them well. His abs were more defined after our exertions. “So how did you wind up at Tarver’s firm?”

“My parents couldn’t afford my Ivy League college choices.” I shrugged. “My grades were good, but not good enough to get a full ride. I had to pay full tuition all through law school, and the only way I could do that was through student loans.” I glanced around before meeting Cade’s amber gaze again. “I can’t afford to live in the city and pay off student loans with a public service job. Even with eventual loan forgiveness, I still couldn’t make it work. So, I have to work for a big firm until I’ve paid off my loans. Then I can transition to public service.” The story sounded more ridiculous when I told it out loud for some reason. Poor little Ivy League girl. I hastened to add, “I know I’m lucky to have my education. I’m not knocking it.”

“You don’t have to do that.” Gaines snugged the bottle back into the melting ice.

  I took another drink. “What?”

“Explain yourself. We haven’t always had all this.” He waved his hand around their living space. “And we know what it’s like to sacrifice for what you really want.”

“What do you really want?” I watched him over the rim of my glass.

  He smirked. “Right now?”

“Mmhmm.” I squirmed under the weight of his gaze.

He ran the back of his hand down my outer thigh. “Right now, I want to get to know you better.”

  Chapter Four

  “How’d it go last night?”

“Wh-what?” I jumped as Mr. Tarver appeared in my doorway, his wrinkled face drawn down in a scowl. “Nothing.” My cheeks heated as I remembered how well it had gone last night.

He shook his head. “What? Are you even listening to me?”

“Oh, I meant that it went well. They are looking over the plan today and intend to get back to me on it.”

“Back to you?” He crossed his arms over his chest. “Just what sort of game are you playing? These are my clients, not yours. Why didn’t they ask me to talk it over with them?”

“I don’t know. I guess they knew I’d done the legwork on it, so they wanted me to explain it for them.” The lie rolled off my tongue easily. They wanted me alone for plenty of reasons, but going over their estate plan wasn’t one of them.

“Did you walk them through it?” He narrowed his eyes.

“Yes, I was very thorough. I told them to call the firm if they had any questions. I can even tell Rhonda to patch them through to you when they call, if that would be better for you.”

“Why on earth would you do that?”

I stared at him and tried to figure out the correct answer, because logic clearly wasn’t working for me. “Um, because you just said they’re your clients, not mine?”

“Do you want me to look like a fool in front of them? Is that it?” A droplet of spit flew from his mouth and landed on the corner of my desk. “I haven’t had time to look at your work since the incident with Velma yesterday morning.”

I raised my eyebrows. “Incident?” Playing dumb was my best bet.

He cleared his throat. “She, ah, she had a fall at the house, so I stayed home with her for a little while. That’s why I was late.”

“I see.” At least I wasn’t the only liar in the room.

“Anyway.” He waved a hand as if swatting at a bothersome fly. “That’s all over with now. If Mr. Gaines or Mr. Everett call, you handle it, but let me know so I can listen in.”

I cringed at the thought of him listening to our conversation. “Sure will.” Definitely won’t.

“And if you even think about trying to take this account from me, you’ll be out that door.” He pointed down the hall, but kept his beady eyes on me. “Understand?”

“Yes, sir.” I couldn’t afford to lose this job, especially given how tight the legal market was in New York. Not even my Ivy League credentials could save me from a bad referral from Mr. Tarver.

He stalked down the hall, and I slumped in my uncomfortable office chair. For a crazed moment, I worried that he would find out about my tryst the prior night and fire me on the spot. I batted the fear away. Not possible. There was no way he would know unless I or the guys told him. And they’d made clear they didn’t want to jeopardize my career, especially when they rehired me this morning before having their driver take me to my apartment. I couldn’t stop the smile that crept across my lips at how sweet they’d been.

We’d spent the night in what I learned was Gaines’s bed. Cade had an identical bedroom on the opposite end of the penthouse. We talked for hours. I told them about my country childhood. They laughed when I described my fishing abilities and the knack I had for baiting a hook just right. We’d gotten to know each other more in a few hours than I thought possible. There were no promises, no mentions of seeing each other again, but by the time I fell asleep, I felt safe with them. I awoke as I’d slept, with Gaines on one side and Cade on the other—both men handsome in the morning light streaming through the windows.

I sighed and rested my chin on my hand. They were amazing and gave me a night I would never forget. A niggling ache welled up in my heart, but I shut it out. Men like Cade and Gaines couldn’t be expected to go for just one woman. Especially not me. We hadn’t kno
wn each other for long enough. There were a million other reasons—including that I was their attorney and that I barely had two dimes to rub together after my student loan bills and rent were paid and that I’d seen the sort of models they usually had on their arms at big events—why they would move on. Still, I locked our night together deep inside me, somewhere that I could return to and think about it again.

Instead of focusing on them, I did what I did best: I worked. My newest task was great for billable hours, but daunting on all other fronts. Creating an estate plan for one of the wealthiest widows in all of Manhattan took up all of my morning. She wanted to leave her entire fortune to her Yorkie, Goldie. Going through the elderly heiress’s laundry list of top dollar properties was tedious at best, infuriating at worst, especially given the good her money could do for the less fortunate. Instead, Goldie would wind up with every dime in a trust for his care and comfort. Despite my misgivings, I pinched my nose and did the work.

By lunchtime, I was elbow deep in Mrs. Katzman’s voluminous securities transactions over the past year. What kind of person invests a million dollars in a start-up that builds Puppy Pedicures—a product that allows a pet to get its nails done right along with its owner? Mrs. Katzman.

At 11:30 a.m., my phone buzzed.

“Ms. Waverly.” Rhonda’s bored voice came through.

  “Yes.”

“A car has arrived to take you to your twelve o’clock.”

“Huh?” I clicked my pen, then clicked it some more.

“Do I need to speak more slowly? Is that it?” She huffed and then repeated herself in long, drawn-out words.

I pinched the bridge of my nose. “I heard you, Rhonda. But thank you for telling me again. My point was that I don’t have a twelve o’clock meeting that would require a car.”

“It’s waiting downstairs. I’m going to lunch.” The line clicked dead.

“Rhonda!” I dialed her extension. No answer. You old bitch.

I stared at the work piled on my desk—five shoeboxes of receipts, a bigger box full of god knew what, and a stack of papers taller than I was. Mystery lunch date? I’d take that over working for Goldie any day. Besides, I had an inkling that the car had been sent by Gaines and Cade. Who else could it have been?
