  VULCAN TO THE SKY

If you’ve enjoyed Vulcan 607, why not find out more about the campaign to return XH558, the last airworthy Vulcan bomber, to the sky. Supported by a Lottery Heritage Fund grant of £2,734,000 and ‘donor’ support of £1.5m, together with partnership with BAE Systems plc and Marshalls Aerospace, the Vulcan Operating Company – the engineering subsidiary of the Vulcan to the Sky Trust which owns the aircraft for the nation – expects to begin test-flying XH558 in summer 2006. Of the aircrew who took part in the BLACK BUCK Raids, both Martin Withers and Barry Masefield have signed up to fly her.Funds are still needed, and there are a number of different ways in which you can support the project, from donations to buying merchandise to sponsoring individual XH558 components.
