“Maybe they can do our wedding flowers?” She mentioned.
“Whatever you want, baby,” he promised, “whatever you want.”
“You’re quite popular in the office now,” she replied, “they don’t know it’s you but they’re jealous.”
“I’m not in the business to make anyone jealous,” he caressed her thigh, “I only care about making you happy.”
Mariana smiled. Scott wasn’t a man of many words and he often went straight to the point without beating around the bush. He didn’t care what other people thought or didn’t think of him. As frustrating as it could be, it was rather endearing at times. “You’re everything to me.”
Scott pushed one of Mariana’s ringlets aside from her face. “You’re my everything,” he repeated.
“So, what are your plans for the rest of the day?” Mariana glanced down at his phone calendar. Scott’s schedule was packed. He was lucky he just had lunch. He was actually late for one of many meetings for the remainder of the day. “Nevermind, then.”
“They can wait. Everyone seems to brief me on things after the fact. This is more important right here.” He looked into her chocolate-brown eyes. So beautiful and full of love, and not anger. He decided he only wanted to see that from her and he would do whatever it took to make sure her angry days at him were few and far in between. “Did you really delete all of the photos we ever took?”
“Only a few because they weren’t flattering,” she admitted, “but I kept the rest. Every single one. That’s when I knew I wasn’t over you.”
“I hope you’ll never be over me,” he kissed her forehead, “I’ll never get over you.”
Mariana never wanted the feeling to end. It was too magical, and too real. After so much turmoil and drama, they were finally together again at last. “Did you want to come over
for dinner tonight? I’ll make cheeseburgers. Don’t worry I’ll use organic meat and all that other healthy junk you like.”
He laughed. “I could cheat a little. Make it as dirty and juicy as you want it. I’ll pick up beer.” He rubbed her back. “Did you want me to spend the night?”
“Why did you even have to ask?” She asked and he chuckled. “Of course I do!”
“I have to make sure. I don’t like to assume things when it comes to women.” He mentioned.
“I guess now that I’m your employee, officially,” she kissed his lips, “no more office quickies?”
“Who said that?” Scott turned on his stereo and quiet storm music played in the office.
“We’re working on a long project with many, many hours.” He slowly unbuttoned her blouse. “I’m sure between brainstorming for the campaign, we can figure out other things to do to relieve tension.”
Mariana sat up and straddled him. She wrapped her arms around him as their tongues tangled and lips repeatedly met. “I’m sure we can figure something out.”
