Chaos: A Bad Boy Romance

I pulled him close, feeling his hard chest thump. His skin was hot. I slid my hand beneath the sheet and felt his swelling cock. I grinned.
I rocked my hips toward him, massaging my clit with the tip of his cock. I moaned. Nothing felt better than Devin. I guided his shaft into my sex, pushing him down on his back. I took all his length, straddling his waist.
“Fuck me,” he commanded.
My hips swayed back and forth. Every nerve ending was activated, every pulse of pleasure shuddered deep within me. He grabbed my ass and flipped me onto my back. He stretched my legs out, anchoring himself on the backs of my thighs. I locked my ankles around the nape of his neck.
His thrust and stride went from slow and gentle, to hard and fast. My body slid back with each forward thrust.
“Fuck,” I panted.
“You are mine,” he groaned.
I screamed out, his cock swelled inside of me. He was so fucking hard, I could barely handle it. I was stretched and full. My body began to tremble, but he didn’t let up. His eyes were glittering in the light, a new-found determination in his mind.
It was like he was claiming me. He was my king. I was his queen.
Our skin was laden with a thin film of dew, sprawled by the heat of passion. My heart raced. I lost containment. I was about to blow up! He continued pounding his cock in and out, driving me wild. I screamed out, losing myself in him. He came, occupying me completely.
“I love you, Sammy,” he said, “I love you, and you are mine!”
“Always! No matter what, I’m always yours!”
I pulled him to me, feeling the weight of his muscled body crush against my small frame. I could barely breathe, but I didn’t care.
“And you are mine,” I said, “Always mine.”

I slipped out from underneath Devin and walked to the kitchen. My legs felt like noodles and my hands shook. I drank an entire glass of water and set the cup down on the counter.
I turned to him and sighed, “I don’t know what we’re going to do.”
“What do you mean?”
“You are on parole. You are stuck in this shit hole town. I transferred, Devin.”
“Where? Actually, it doesn’t matter.”
“Why doesn’t it matter?”
“I have to tell you something,” he said.
I sat down on the floor next to him, “Tell me.”
“I blew up the club.”
“You what?!”
“It gets worse,” he confessed, “I killed Mathias and Abraham. Abraham was the founder of The Snakes. They died choking on smoke, and I don’t fucking regret it.”
I sat there with my mouth open. Devin told me everything. He was a killer like I suspected. I was relieved to know that he only killed bad men. He told me about his code. He would only kill men who were rapists, wife-beaters, child abusers, and men who murdered innocent people.
He told me about Mathias’s plan. Devin also told me about his father’s abuse, and how Mathias took him in when he was young. I could empathize with the anger he felt. Devin explained that Mathias was going to kill everyone else in The Sons.
I wouldn’t have done anything differently if I were in Devin’s shoes.
My heart raced. If the police didn’t get him, the surviving Sons would. They didn’t know what Mathias was up to. Not to mention The Snakes were now adrift without a leader and it wouldn’t be hard to figure out who was responsible. He fucking saved their lives, and now they were his greatest threat. Mathias and Abraham were going to make sure every last patched member had a bullet in their brain before they were done.
Fuck.
Devin took my hand in his and sighed, “I have to leave.”
“I know,” I said.
“I want you to come with me. Mexico will be the easiest place to get to. I’ve got one contact left who I feel like I can trust. He’s going to get me out of the country. I was supposed to leave yesterday, but I couldn’t. I had to see you.”
“So, we’re going to sneak in? What are we going to do for money, Devin?”
“We?” he smiled, “You are coming, then?”
I couldn’t lie, it made me nervous. I had never been the criminal. I was always obedient to the letter of the law, both the governments and my own. This was completely new territory for me. It was letting go of control on a whole new level. Still, what were my options? Would I beg Devin to stay? Would I ask him to just hide in my house? That would be like a prison, albeit with more sex and better food. Would I just let him go and settle for the occasional letter?
No. I had no other options. It was me and Devin against the entire fucking world. I was betting that we could win.
“Yes, of course, you jackass!”
I kissed him. I began to laugh. It was a cross between nervous laughter and jubilance. We were really doing this. We were really free. Perhaps more free than anyone else in the world.
“When do we leave?” I asked.
“Tomorrow afternoon.”
“I will pull the cash I have out of the bank, tomorrow morning,” I paused, “Seriously, though. It’s not much. What are we going to do?”
“We’ll figure it out. Maybe we can start our own business. I’ve basically been a hit man for the last 12 years. I don’t know what else I’d be good at, you know? I’m ready to do something different, though.”
We didn’t sleep the rest of the night. We talked about everything and then went over it again. We made plans for tomorrow. We would have to find a cheap hotel to stay at until we could figure where to lay down some roots. We would start taking odd jobs, immediately. The less we had to dip into our savings, the better off we would be. Once we had some money saved up, we could lay down some roots. I was surprisingly confident by the end of it, considering the impulsive nature of this new adventure.
All I knew was that we would get out, and then we’d have the rest of our lives to figure out the details of happily ever after.
Chapter 24
Devin “The Devil’ Winchester
Sammy and I took a taxi with all our belongings, a total of 3 duffle bags, in the trunk. We had to leave so much behind. We were hitting the reset button and hoping for the best. Sammy was nervous. I wasn’t, though. With her by my side, I felt invincible. I could and would do anything for that woman.
The taxi dropped us off on the corner of 7th and main. It was a poor section of the city. The streets were lined with old buildings with chipped paint and boarded up windows. Tufts of weeds grew out of the cracks in the sidewalks. There was a lot of crime in this area, too. We had to move quickly because crime was our business. Sammy had likely run into some of the residents living in this area in the span of her career. I was certain I had as well. We didn’t want to get recognized.
The Sons were probably looking for me already.
We walked down the street to a little convenient store. In the parking lot, there was a white delivery truck with the name “Jimmy’s Discount Fruit” sprawled in big orange letters on the side. I could see Jimmy sitting in the front seat. He was looking at his phone.
“That’s him,” I told Sammy.
She nodded, eying the van.
Jimmy finally saw us approaching. He looked around the parking lot and then back to us. He stepped out of the vehicle and nodded towards the back. We followed him. He opened the back doors and pulled a large crate towards the edge.
“So, you must be Sammy. The names Jimmy,” he said.
He stuck out his hand towards Sammy. She shook his hand, passing him five hundred dollars to pay her fare. He quickly shoved it in his pocket and smiled.
“She’s a cutie, Devin,” he grinned.
He held out his hand, helping her step up into the van. I followed. We dropped our duffle bags into the crate. Jimmy put four flats of oranges over our bags and put the lid back in the crate. He stepped into the truck, motioning for us to move towards the back.
“Now, it’s going to be cramped,” Jimmy warned.
/> In the back, against the wall adjacent to the cab, was a bigger crate. There was enough room for me to sit in it, and for Sammy to sit in my lap. We climbed in, carefully. I wrapped my arms around Sammy, pulling her close to me.
“You’ll be in there for about 12 hours, okay? We won’t be stopping until we get to the border,” he said, “If we stop for any other reason, it’ll be because The Sons are looking for you. I’m stacking the other crates around yours. They won’t find you, I don’t think. They’ll only find you if someone tipped them off.”
I nodded.
We were not home free, but I had a good feeling. Jimmy closed the crate lid over our heads. We listened as the other crates screeched along the floor. Once all the fruit crates surrounded ours, with two on top of ours for good measure, Jimmy hopped out of the back.
The engine started up. My heart raced. This was it. We’d either make it out of the country, or we wouldn’t.
“You doing okay, baby?” I asked Sammy.
She nodded.
I laughed, “You can talk, you know?”
“I know,” she whispered, “I’m just nervous.”
I kissed the side of her face and pulled her closer to my body.
“We’re going to make it, Sammy. Jimmy is a good guy. I really think we’re going to make it!”
***
Sammy’s body was rigid. We’d been in the truck for nearly four hours, and she was tense the entire time. We really didn’t have any wiggle room. My neck was killing me.
“We’re one-third of the way there, honey.”
She nodded.
I was trying to comfort her, but it was no use. Sammy wasn’t going to let her guard down until we checked into a cheap motel in Tuxtla Gutierrez. Once we got there, I was going to draw her a nice hot bath. When she was good and relaxed, I was going to propose to her.
I usually kept my mother’s wedding ring in the gun safe at home. The other day, when I’d met Jimmy to head out to Mexico, I froze. I couldn’t bring myself to leave. I was leaving Sammy behind, and it made me sick.
I also realized that I had left my mother’s ring. It was fate. I explained everything to Jimmy. Not leaving right then and there caused my risk to go up. It was even more likely that someone would see him with me. It was dangerous.
Then again, life wouldn’t be worth much without Sammy. So, I rode back to the apartment and grabbed the ring. I was careful to make sure I hadn’t been followed. That was the last time I could go back home. The door had been broken in. Inside, shit was overturned and broken. They knew. They were already looking for me.
I wasn’t sure if ‘they’ were The Snakes or The Sons. It didn’t matter, anyway. If I ran into either group, I was a dead man.
On the way to Sammy’s, I took back alleys. I didn’t want anyone to see me. I was nervous about Sammy, too. I wasn’t exactly sure what she would do. If she asked me to stay, I would. Though, I’m sure that wouldn’t have lasted long. I was more afraid she was going to kick me in the balls and tell me to get bent. I had put her through a lot.
Still, I hoped to hell that she was willing to go to Mexico with me. The Sons were relentless. Eventually, they would come to Mexico, looking for me. It would be more difficult to find me, though. Huatulco was a tourist town. I planned to live on the outskirts of the city. I would live far away enough from the coast to avoid tourist but close enough to make a proper income off them. There were a million cities like those in Mexico. Finding me would be like finding a needle in a haystack.
I imagined a scenario wherein I tried to explain everything that happened. There was no way around it. They wouldn’t understand. They wouldn’t believe me. They probably wouldn’t even give me a chance to explain, anyway.
***
We were about halfway to Mexico. Sammy was sleeping. The delivery truck stopped, pulling to the side. My heart raced. We weren’t anywhere near the border. Jimmy was being pulled over by someone. I doubted that it was a cop.
After a few minutes of silence, I heard garbled talking through the cab. I couldn’t make out any of the words. I heard the driver’s side door open and close. Suddenly, the hinges groaned and the back doors swung open.
“How is that old bastard, anyway?” I heard Jimmy say.
“That’s what we're here to find out about,” A gruff voice filled the silence of the night.
Sammy shuffled, waking up from the racket.
“Shh,” I whispered.
My grasp on her arms tightened. Her body was rigid. She was completely awake now. My heart pounded as the man climbed into the back. I saw the distinct light of an L.E.D. flashlight break up the darkness, bits of light sliding past the thin crack in our crate.
He was opening the crates.
“You walking the straight and narrow, now?” the man asked, laughing.
Jimmy laughed casually, “Never!”
“When did you start actually selling fruit?”
“A few years back. It was logical, as I saw it. I already had the goddamned things. I was getting sick of eating them. I figured I’d skip the smuggling and just sell the shit. Oranges tend to be less of a liability. I’ve got little markets all over the northern border of Mexico and even more in California. I do okay.”
There was silence for a few moments. I wondered if they bought Jimmy’s story. He seemed casual. I’d believe him if I didn’t remember how Jimmy operated. He wasn’t loyal to any club or gang. He was simply a delivery guy with a strong work ethic. He was likely the only true outlaw, out of all of us. He didn’t follow any rules besides his own.
The Sons of the Shadow got too big for guys like Jimmy. We dropped him for someone who could handle all the shit we hustled. Jimmy was a good guy. When The Sons were still a small group, they were good guys. Maybe Mathias was a good guy, in the beginning. Money was the root of all evil, supposedly. Maybe the money was too good because, in the end, Mathias was as shitty as they come.
“Well, sorry to bother you, Jimmy. If you happen to come across Devin, give me a call. We’ve got some questions to ask him.”
“Can do,” Jimmy said, “Let me put your number in my phone.”
“Holy shit! That phone is as old as sin.”
“I didn’t want to have to change my number,” Jimmy said.
The man laughed, “You can upgrade your phone and still keep the number.”
“Meh. This one works just fine. Why would I change?”
After a bit, the truck started rolling again. We were in the clear! Hot damn! We made it!!! I kissed Sammy over and over. The smile on her face caused her cheeks to puff out. It was such a relief. They wouldn’t come after Jimmy again unless someone saw us.
I wanted to believe it was possible that we had been seen, to err on the side of caution. I didn’t want to let my hopes climb to dangerous heights. I couldn’t help it, though. I was careful to make sure I hadn’t been followed. The taxi cab driver that took us to Jimmy’s truck had never seen us before. He didn’t recognize us. Nobody saw us.
We really were going to make it to Mexico. I wasn’t even slightly worried about the border, either. The border agents were on a first name basis with Jimmy. Shit, I wouldn’t be surprised if they went fishing together. He was buddies with them because he saw them all the time. This was how Jimmy operated.
***
I held the ring in my hand. I was nervous. My stomach was tied in knots. I listened as Sammy finished up in the bathroom. We decided to just find a cheap hotel in Tijuana, instead of driving the whole night. We were both exhausted. We made it past the border without any other incidents.
I still couldn’t believe it. After everything that happened with Mathias, after all the mistakes I made throughout life, I came out on top. I had the most beautiful woman in the world. She was so sweet and funny. She made everything in my life exponentially better.
It didn’t matter that we basically had the shirts on our back and hardly any money. We had the world at our fingertips.
I wanted to make her mine
, officially.
She stepped out of the bathroom, dripping wet and wrapped in a little towel. Fuck! She was gorgeous. With my heart in my throat and the ring closed in my trembling hands, I stood up from the chair. She smiled at with sleepy eyes.
“Thank you, babe. That bath was fantastic!”
I smiled, “I can’t believe we’re here.”
I walked up to her and kissed her satin lips. She tasted so sweet. Her hair smelt like Strawberries and cream. That was the type of shampoo she used. The scent was etched into my mind, forever associated with the girl of my dreams.
I knelt in front of her and took a deep breath. She looked at me, gasping as she realized what was happening. She lifted her hand to her mouth with tears welling in her eyes.
“I don’t deserve you. You are so much better than me, in so many ways. I promise you, if you accept my offer, I will spend my entire life trying to make up the difference. I will spend my life protecting you. I will spend every second of everyday loving you. Sammy, I know we’ve been through a lot. Every hardship is made better with you by my side. Will you marry me, you crazy girl?”
I took her trembling hand and slid the small ring, that once belonged to my mom, onto Sammy’s ring finger.
Tears spilled down her cheeks. She had the biggest smile on her face. It was almost indescribable. It was a smile that was pure light. She nodded her head, unable to speak. I stood up and wrapped my arms around her. I lifted her into my arms and kissed her.
She dropped her towel to the floor as we made our way to the bed. She pulled her lips away from mine and took a deep breath.
“Devin,” she said with a shaky voice, “I meant to say yes.”
“I know, baby,”
I laid her down on the bed and pulled my shirt up over my head. Sammy held up her hand, beckoning me towards her with her index finger. She was so sexy, waiting there for me on the bed.
How did I end up being the luckiest man in the world?
