Nearly everyone who hears the story disparages and even fictionalizes the authenticity when reiterating it to another listener. They hastily, and incorrectly, assume that it had to be a vastly vivid dream, which was woven into a tapestry of entertainment afterward. This, of course, is not the truth. However, if no truth be withheld, the events were not observed through coherent, linear consciousness either; Quite the opposite, in fact. By mixing spirits and pharmaceuticals, the original beholder who documented the revelation initially intended to expand their perceptual boundaries for artistic inspiration. Instead they found their sentience aligned to visualize the many alternate paths time laid out for the human race. Parted from the obverse timeline we accept now as history, the original beholder became privy to the events and quality of life that could have been in the balance of one man’s worth. The beholder saw one man’s achievements, and the benefits they would have done, literally lost in time. Perhaps, because the whole thing sounds like fiction, some of those who retell it classify it as such, if for nothing more than to sustain their own ground in sanity and grasp of reality. But assure yourself, for your own arcanum and for the sake of pansophy, that the maven known Zindetitious was real in one timeline or another. He was a real man, who designed and constructed real inventions; a real person who instilled extraordinary contributions to the fields of physics, chemistry, metaphysics, and astronomy, along with inspirational considerations in the philosophies of ethics and logic. He was a real man who established a global repose, and settled the abortive heart of humanity. His acumen astonished his contemporaries to such a degree that some believed him telegnostic. Though his genuine humaneness was becalming, and he implored his countrymen neither fear nor worship him as something more than a man. His vision seeded a preponderant future characterized by prosperity, progress, and serenity. Without the accomplishments of Zindetitious the world would have sunk into chaos; the chaos our world suffers from in this time. The hope is that by passing on the observations of the original beholder, over and over, to anyone and everyone, that the efforts of Zindetitious will not have been for nothing, and that we can achieve a glimmer of the light he bestowed upon us.
Prodigious even at a young age, Zindetitious aggrandized the agriculture of his village, Ensiohith. Altering the seeds prior to their planting by soaking them in a chemical solution he formulated in meditation, they produced larger and fuller sprouts, increasing the crop outturn by more than double the expected amount. He also set a new schedule for the harvest, designed according to his newly discovered star constellation. This ensured the soil was at its most conducive for farming. A once modest production which provided just enough for the village, they now possessed a hearty surplus to trade for other goods from neighboring settlements. For the first time since its settlement Ensiohith flourished. Zindetitious was praised. More importantly, he was recognized as a genius in the village, allowing him the liberty to exercise his mind without oppression of arbitrary employment. His work was to better the lives of the civilians of Ensiohith and their neighboring communities. He began to study and experiment in physics and engineering, using the two sciences simultaneously to construct apparatuses to ease the labor of farming. Then he applied his mastery to various other devises for human comfort. Somewhere along his early twenties, Zindetitious began to focus on the understanding of formal sciences.
With theories and observations that predated the Aristotelian system and carried on to undermine the Platonic Academy, Zindetitiousian laid the groundwork for a more brilliant and comprehensive future. His seemingly innate discernment of the physics, chemistry, biology, and astronomy in conjunction with logic, mathematics and statistics, and how to conduct them ethically, implied celestial origins, according to some; as if Zindetitious were delivered to humanity as a gift that slowly unwrapped itself over time. His wisdom and logic began to echo beyond the ocean, to other nations that found themselves in turmoil from mishandled citizens and perpetual conflict with neighboring societies. Weary leaders sent word from abroad, imploring Zindetitious for guidance in dark times. Anticipating his input and presence would soon be sought all over the world, Zindetitious took to studying the social sciences, hoping to stay objective in the upcoming diplomacy. Soon after, he became a global advisory on the subject of economics and politics, and had immunity nearly worldwide by end of his thirties. Where ever his legislation was put into practice, the newly implemented laws helped shed the xenophobia and jingoism that had festered humanity’s soul; people began to living and working in a partnership towards a fuller future.
In this time of progress however there was undefinable antipathy present. An aura of vexation and rancor persistently clouded the contentment of the people, yielding an uneasy transition towards Zindetitious’ vision of peaceful living in some parts of the world. An unknowable force was opposing his teachings. Myths of a Magician found their place into whispered misgivings around the planet; a Magician that detested the way Zindeititous shared with humanity. Communities in the Western hemisphere said this Magician resided in the East; people from the East heard they came somewhere from the West. The Magician went by various monikers, but widely imagined as an androgynous albino the chief title for Them was the Epicene. Origin stories of this entity varied as widely as they were spread out, leading to the popular belief that It was nothing more a dark fairytale. Others who were too cautious to deny the existence of the Epicene believed They had genuinely sinister intentions, and verbally spread the fear of Their dreadful deeds and power. Legends of entire cities the Epicene rendered extinct a century prior were recited around campfires, along with stories of animosity believed not to be capable unless the Epicene was present to witness it occur. Claims of floods, fire, or even perpetual darkness, brought about by the magician for the sole purpose of misery, elicited apprehension in the minds of everyone regardless of age. In one village, a Priest attested it was the magician’s will that the once single base of earth be separated into individual continents. The Priest proclaimed the Epicene split the land to divide the people, creating a separation that would slowly fester into discord inside the hearts and minds of men. The disunity would go on to convince those who rose to power in each community that their neighboring territories were ripe to be seized, provoking hostility which would inspire war which would demand bloodshed.
During Zindetitious’ thirty-ninth year all doubt of the magician’s existence was removed.
The Epicene entered the village of Ensiohith at the moment of daybreak, supposedly appearing without passing through any neighboring community. It wore hooded, black linen robes which covered the Magician completely except for the chin and the tips of Their fingers – both sights were dead white as foretold. It spoke to no one; an absolute stranger to Ensiohith who seemed to know the village layout with the familiarity of one who might call it home. Even with no interactions from the Stranger, the villagers were apprehensive to engage it with inquiries and demarcations. And rightfully so was the villagers’ unease; anyone who approached the Epicene became weak and ill suddenly, and quickly they would collapsed to the dirt, an inch away from death. The Epicene proceeded with the same degree of disinterest in the wellbeing of the villagers who had fallen as those who had not. It neither slowed nor lingered to heed the chokes and squeals of those they affected. After a number of people fell near expired in the Stranger’s proximity, everyone cleared a path for It
to walk where It intended to. Word spread instantly the Epicene was no longer merely a myth. Soon the situation became evident that the Magician was making way to the humble and remote home of the maven Zindetitious.
Hearing a clamor not expressed since he was a child, Zindetitious rushed to observe what events were transpiring through a telescope setup just outside his front door, which looked into the community
